I can't give Hooters a bad review because it is my favorite fast casual restaurant- every time I come here the food is consistently good. All the girls are super sweet but compared to the Hooters I grew up growing to in Arizona, this Hooters needs a lot of help. The girls don't follow the typical Hooters standards of greeting, making sure you have plates and silverware before your food comes out, asking if you want dessert, etc. but again the food always comes out amazing - no complaints. In terms of cleanliness this is something management needs to work on at this location. Dirty floors, windows, and bathrooms. Want to see this location improve. Went to watch NCAA Sweet 16 game and have some wings. With all the TV's around the entire restaurant, NO basketball on any! After checking with bartender, someone tuned a couple TVs to the game. The 9-TV "big screen" had 4 TVs which didn't work. Looking around the room, several other TVs were either off, not working or had really bad pictures. Bartender had some favorites at the bar and was not consistent with service to all. Ok, I've always liked Hooter's wings, and I ordered the trio of wings, shrimp and boneless. Food met my expectations. My only complaint with the food was that it just doesn't maintain its temperature - by the time you get to the last few bites, the food is cold! Came to Hooters in San Marcos, Texas on a Wednesday night. Not a whole lot of customers here today but we still had a great time here. We were seated right away. Waitress came and took our drink order right away. She came back with drinks and we ordered fried pickles for an appetizer. They came out to us right out of the fryer. Just awesome, hot and crispy, perfect. For dinner, we ordered the 10 piece original bone in wings and 12 piece buffalo shrimp. My wife and I always share these so we always order the hot sauce and then I get a side of the 911 sauce and the ghost pepper sauce. I like my wings and shrimp spicy. These also got to us right from the fryer, hot and crispy. These also were amazing! We have been to Hooters all over the country and I have to say, this place was pretty cool. It's got a really nice bar in the center of the restaurant with seating all around. If you like sports, they have tv's everywhere. You have a view of a TV no matter where you sit. Bad experience! We got loaded fries the bacon was burnt and they were out of sour cream. So burnt cheese fries $8. Next mozzarella sticks cook had to make them 3 times. By then our food was out we didn't want. Told waitress still got charged for some food we didn't eat. Rylan was our waitress. Got our wings not surprised. Does not taste like original flavor. I used to LOVE Hooters, but somehow over the years bad service and food at the Austin locations drove me away. Enter the San Marcos location which I've dined at a few times. Decided one afternoon that the location would be ideal for a car club meet up. San Marcos being the half way point between Austin and San Antonio (there or there abouts) meant I could invite friends from the SA clubs. The reason for the meet was not over territory (NOT TWIN PEAKS WACO!!!) but to hear a bunch of different exhaust options for our cars all in one place. Picked up my cell phone about a month out and attempted to contact the restaurant directly. About 4 hours of calls went unanswered; ended up reaching out through Facebook. Sure enough, a manager named Zach immediately responded. Turns out the phones were out and he didn't even know it. He called me directly a few minutes later and cleared our group to use the back portion of the parking lot on a Saturday morning. On top of that, an appreciated discount for attendees. That Saturday I made contact with the morning manager on duty and our group was seated on the patio at 11:00am. Didn't quiz every guest but looking around most peeps looked happy with their entrees. Drink refills came in an orderly fashion too. My choice was the boneless wings with half Three Mile Island; other half Daytona Beach which I had never tried before. Both were forehead sweating tasty. The staff was really nice. The food was tasty BUT the portions were terrible! We got food to go. It was a bit disappointing. I don't have a Hooters in my neighborhood so I was really excited to go for the first time to this location. I had high hopes as we were being seated as the interior looked very polished, but after placing our order I lost hope quickly. Our mozzarella sticks came by and we polished them off. We then proceeded to wait over half an hour for our entrees, seriously thinking to walk out at the half hour mark after leaving cash for the mozzarella sticks and a tip. We ended up waiting it out though and proceeded to nibble at our entrees once they arrived. We couldn't finish over half of the food, so we took most of it to go. Our waitress was very nice and apologetic about the long wait. From what I've heard, my experience wasn't out of the ordinary for Hooters, so I'll say this visit was OK. So, we haven't been to Hooters for years. We finally had a chance to return, mainly because we were out voted on where to go. We were in San Marcos, Texas, and went to this location. The parking lot was pretty full. Good size parking lot. We had a 45 minute wait, the whole restaurant wasn't being used, probably not enough staff. We tried to get some drinks for our wait, but they have a policy of not serving alcohol unless you are at the bar or at a table. So we didn't get any drinks until we sat down. Service was good. Food came pretty quickly. We ordered two 30 boneless wing specials, came with the wings in two sauces, and fried pickles and curly fries. Ranch or blue cheese dressing. I was surprised by the boneless wings, they were a good size nugget and cooked very well, not dry at all. Seasoned very well. I normally go for the bone in wings, but we were very happy with this choice. We really enjoyed the fried pickles, crunchy and done just right. I could not stop eating them. Our drinks, a michelada, I do not recommend, just kinda bland. A Amaretto sour, very delicious, highly recommend. Dos X, dressed. And a Guinness. The bathrooms are clean, and the floors are kept clean as well. All in all, we would probably go back to Hooters again. read more

I decided to go for a ride in my Motorcycle and check out a bike night at Hooters. There was a lot of construction around there so it was difficult to get to but that's not their fault. Parking was plentiful and the wait wasn't that bad to get in. Once I was seated it did take about 10 minutes for someone to come over. I was actually thinking about leaving but my waitress finally showed up. My waitress was very pleasant and took my order promptly. I ordered a cheesesteak and fries. The food came out in about 10 minutes. The food actually tasted pretty good and was plentiful. Overall it was a good mean. Our waitress was very rude and clearly didn't feel like being here. She gave us attitude from the start. Upon seeing all interaction with her other tables, it seemed this was the norm for her. The only good thing here was our server and the water. Food was beyond tasteless, it was like eating cafeteria food again. We waited about 10 mins before getting a drink orders the server was sweet and told us that there was "training in the kitchen." It was a Sunday night so not many people in the restaurant.
