I love their Senior menu, but the top of all tops is their $6. Mon to Fri special in the morning. It's a great deal on a number of many entrees. Coffee comes in a tumbler on the table, and stays hot. I asked for crispy bacon & crispy hash browns, but received neither, and my wife didn't either, who ordered the same. From the moment we walked in, this IHOP was a disaster. Right inside the front door there was a huge pile of shattered glass that had not been cleaned up the entire time we were there. No one warned us about it or said "watch your step," and considering we were the only customers, there was no excuse for it to be left like that. Our server, Jayana, provided some of the worst service I've ever experienced. She forgot to ring up my husband's food, then tried to blame the cook, even though we clearly saw her ring it in after my sister and I had already been served. When his waffles finally arrived, they were still raw in the middle. Absolutely unacceptable. The mozzarella sticks we ordered were supposed to come with 6 but only came with 5 -- normally I'd overlook something small like that, but combined with everything else, it was frustrating. She never refilled our drinks, never brought the water I requested with my coffee (which is usually standard), and never once checked on us. Instead, she spent the entire time on her phone. Absolutely the worst service we have ever received. Waited outside for 40 minutes it then took another 20 minutes for someone to take our order. After waiting another 30 minutes the waitress informed us that they were out of chicken fried steak. We ordered something else. After another 20 minutes we gave up and left. read more

Visited this IHOP for breakfast while in town for a wedding. The staff was pleasant, the restaurant was clean, and the food was hot and delicious. By far, the Best IHOP experience I've ever had. The experience was so good that we actually returned for breakfast the following day and had another great meal! Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area! read more

This was the San Marcos IHOP. They were very fast and friendly my waiter. Sebastian was really nice. I took my dad who is a Korean veteran and everybody was really nice to him and thanked him for his service in the military. That was really nice. We got the chicken fried steak. It was perfect. My recent experience will cement my family never coming again! Waittress took a break in the middle of our service, leaving another person to hamdle the entire service. We waited over 30 mins with only 3 tables. Several parts of our order did not come out. I haven't stepped foot in a ihop in years. The one in Kyle and in SanMarcos closer to campus are so gross. When my husband suggested this for breakfast I was very hesitant. But I was surprised at how well run this one is. It was very clean. The staff was so kind. And our food was really good. And oddly the coffee was really really good. I went to the other ihop that's off 35 and it was not the best to say the least. But this ihop is perfect . The food is genuinely so good and probably the best ihop food i've ever had, i recommend the pancake of the month this month it's just absolutely amazing, the service is fast, and the people are always nice, especially the lady who always serves me and my girlfriend when we go. Inside it's absolutely beautiful and i love the layout, it's newer and different from the normal ihops. All in all it's amazing, and I go all the time. I definitely definitely recommend read more

We had the tall waiter with curly hair and he was very quiet. He only brought us two silverware for a party of four and never brought out more. He didn't bring us refills and he only brought our toast and not my entire entree. We had to ask him twice and a we had to ask a different server a third time till they finally brought my food out. This is a new restaurant. I met my father-in-law here for breakfast. The food was mediocre, not that good. Service was not good. We waited for a while before I had to get up and find someone to help us. Shortly after that, a person showed up. Food time was a little long but not too bad. The restaurant was new but didn't feel like it. The other thing that upset me was I forgot a pair of black Raybans on the table. I called, and after a while on hold, they said they never saw them. I normally don't leave reviews, but I came here for brunch and sat just waiting for 10 minutes before my drink order was taken; sat surrounded by dirty tables while I watched younger staff just standing at the check in counter, one girl taking selfies, and plenty of time to be productive. Instead talking was priority. I watched as they sat a couple next to the dirty tables and just walked past it. I'm sorry but better management needs to be done.
