Just ate at this location with my husband. We were both really hungry, so having fresh bread right when you sit down is always a nice touch. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. If you sing up for the VIP club, you get a free appetizer with entree purchase. We used that and shared the potato skins appetizer and also ordered the sirloin and ribs entree. The food came out quickly, and everything was hot and the steak was tender, juicy, and cooked to our preferred doneness. Although the ribs were tender and I enjoyed them overall, the bbq sauce is a little on the sweet side for me and was sauced kind of heavily, but that's a somewhat minor complaint. Next the ribs were delicious definitely well cooked, came off the bone tender. I know other places might cook better but these were very flavorful. And you had the option for two sides I had the steak fries and a Cesar salad both items were great. They have a variety to choose from. The service was great, the young man that took our order did a great job, was attentive on our table. The area seems to be doing some renovations but inside it was normal Texas Roadhouse interior. I thought weather I wanted to post this review or not. And honestly I should have made it a bigger deal while at the restaurant but they rushed to "fix the issue" so fast it gave us no time. My wife got the critter salad and chicken was raw, I usually get my steak medium or medium rare it that's different to poultry. She had noticed the chicken was a little chewy but it wasn't till we looked down and saw the raw pieces, luckily we had not fed our baby any of the chicken. Manager said "that's honestly so embarrassing" but didn't apologize or accept blame, we were given a $10 discount and a new salad (which my wife could not eat due to loss of trust in the kitchen). $10 for getting fed raw chicken and ruining our dinner. I love Texas Roadhouse but yall tbh just go a couple miles down the road to the Kyle location or wait a couple more days for the New Braunfels one. I believe I left a 1 star review on accident on the tablets in store so I'm leaving this now. Caleb was our server and he can by many times to ask us how the food was. I had a chicken breast that was cooked well and through and mashed potatoes. My girlfriend had a steak and loaded fries. At first we did not receive the loaded fries but got regular but when we asked about it they gave us the fries complimentary and they brought loaded fries out. Good place for dinner in San Marcos, there always a wait time for large parties, small parties get seated pretty quickly. Service is good, even when they are busy. The servers are polite. Casual place for a good meal. The portions are good, not too much, but sometimes it feels like it not enough, but every time I leave I'm full. We love the rolls. I had the portabella mushroom chicken. Wasn't in the mood for beef. The chicken was moist and the sauce was okay. I will order extra mushrooms next time. My nephew had the bacon cheese burger, I guess it was good, cause I look over at this plate, and it was gone. He must have been hungry or it was a good burger. Our server (Valentina) was super sweet and attentive, and the food was admittedly good until I found a hair. We let our server know who replaced the dish it was in, but the manager we requested said that since she didn't see the hair nothing could be done. We asked again and she declined any sort of comp despite being me unable to finish the food out of health concerns/lost appetite. My husband and I are visiting from out of town for the holiday weekend. This was my first visit to Texas Roadhouse and it is my husband's birthday weekend. Our waiter was friendly and nice, we were seated quickly, and everybody was pleased with their food. I'm rating this location a 1 because of the atmosphere. Good grief! The music was so loud we had to literally shout at each other to be heard. There was also a birthday, and the employees' song was shouted and super loud, and there was some random dude making balloon animals. But several balloons burst, and each pop was startling and jarring. I expect a TX Roadhouse to have a lively and elevated noise level, but this was extreme. It was also pretty warm inside. (But if you love crappy country music blasted at a deafening level while sweat rolls down your back as you try to eat, then maybe you should give it a try.) Amazing customer service! I recommend this location compared to many other locations. The food came out fast and hot! The ambiance is loud and energetic. The customer service and waitstaff is one of the best I have seen in the San Marcos area for restaurants. It can get packed here! I would recommend adding your name to the waitlist online at the main Texas Roadhouse website. Bring your patience with getting a table if you are coming during peak dining times. However once you're seated the food will come fast! We celebrated my mother in law's birthday and oh boy we are glad we made the right choice to dine here! We were so excited to try the new Texas Roadhouse in Kyle. Unfortunately it did not live up to all the hype we've been hearing. Staff was friendly. We were seating after 10 min. We ordered appetizer came out hot and fast. Then salads. So far so good. Steaks come all 3 are wrong. Daughter ordered medium rare it was over cooked. Husband and I ordered Prime Rib med rare. Told it is a little pink. Mine was raw husbands brown all the way through. I had to send mine back Manager came and took it. Husband asked for horseradish 3 times. By the time my steak came back everyone was done eating. Frustrating to say the least. $120 dinner not worth it. Manger was not very friendly. It's a 50 minute drive to get to the closest one in San Marcos Texas. Every time we take the drive down it's been well worth the time and effort. I am a big fan of the early bird special! My husband ordered the chicken tenders and rib combo with salad and green beans. The steak was very tender and flavorful and one of the best I've had in a while. The ribs were dry but edible and the chicken tenders were ok as well. He said he will stick to his mushroom chicken in the future. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner. Great way to celebrate my 60th birthday with my friend tonight. Ayana, our server, was amazing. She was so personable, attentive, and knowledgeable. We will ask for her next visit to the restaurant. I had the small sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes, and a Caesar salad. The steak was cooked to perfection between a medium and medium well. The loaded mashed potatoes were super loaded and a great mix of toppings and temperature. The salad was good, nothing over the top, but it was just a simple caesar salad. My friend had the appetizer sampler and she enjoyed it. I also highly recommended The Jamaican Cowboy specialty drink, it was rodeo on the beach. The atmosphere was rustic and comfortable.
