I have been going to Hooters Schaumburg for a few years and its great. My only issue is that they have a pest problem, more specifically they have a gargantuan rodent that won't go away. Please let me explain. I went in one day and was looking for a seat. The restaurant was packed, so I looked to the bar, which was also filled, but I noticed there was a guy at the end who didn't have anything in front of him except for a dip cup to spit in. I asked if he was done and leaving soon. He said no. So I left and came back a few hours later. However, when I returned, I observed the same guy from before was still there, in the same place with his gross dip cup, staring out the window, not doing anything in particular. I found this very odd, but left. Over the next couple of months I began to notice that everytime I would come to this location, this same guy was constantly there! And it always the same deal, he wasn't doing or buying anything but just sitting around with a very vacant look on his face ogling the servers. I spoke to a waitress and apparently this guy is ALWAYS there. His name is Scott and he strategically plants himself next to the server stations and just harasses and stares at the servers. If you don't believe me, just go there. Look at the table by the server station by the back or the barstool near the server station at the window end of the bar and you will most likely see a very large balding man sitting there staring at the girls with a blank look on his face, not doing or buying anything. Its bad enough he occupies large amounts of valuable real estate and prevents paying/tipping customers from enjoying the place. But also, the girls that work at this location put up with so much as it is, they shouldn't have to deal with this vagrant, all day-every day, breathing down their backs and distracting them while simultaneously sucking up their tips from real customers. I've been to this location many times. LOVE the original hot wings! But, there have been many times that we had to wait 30 min for the wings, despite being a non-busy service time. A few times the wings have come out lukewarm. But, they are so so yummy and that's why we keep coming back. The fries are okay. We recently tried the lotsa tots. They didn't look that appetizing, but they actually tasted good. The service is decent, but it seems like the servers start off being very attentive, but then sort of fall apart towards the end of service. Empty plates and unfilled water glasses sometimes sit for awhile on your table and it often takes a while to get the check. If you love wings and don't mind waiting awhile for your food, this would be a great place for you! read more

For the longest time, Hooters has been a go-to place for my buddies and I for hot Chicken wings. As much as some people like to make fun of guys wanting to go to Hooters for reasons other than food, we honestly love going here for their 911 wings. For a chain restaurant, they serve heck of tasting wings. Their 911 sauce wings have been my favorite for a long time. That's how I get them whenever I go here. There are times where we ask for 911 BBQ and quite often we have had the best of both worlds - the hot & super spicy 911 sauce and the sweet, tasty BBQ sauce. The combo is heavenly when done right. Be sure to ask for your wings double dip and wet if you are a fan of their sauces. That usually ensures your wings being nicely coated with their sauce and them not being dry. I don't compare this place with Buffalo Wild Wings as some do cause to me Hooters came first and have consistently served big, tasty wings. Buffalo Wild Wings have good sauce but their wings are puny. Chicken wings, Buffalo shrimp, and Mexicurly fries is where its at. We order that usually when we want more than just wings. Otherwise, it's 50 wings for the three or four of us that usually go. If you like/ love spicy food then you should definitely try their 9-1-1 and XXX Habañero sauce wings. read more

You go to Hooter's any Hooter's for two reasons: the wings and the breasts. I'm not a die-hard fan of their wings, which is why I don't really come here too often, but sometimes I really crave a dry, hot wing not a buffalo style-like say BWW or Buffalo Joe's in Evanston. When I do, I usually go to Hooter's. The wings are fine, nothing great, but not too bad, again if you want the dry stuff-which is never quite spicy enough in my opinion. The rest of the food is forgettable, it's just not good...except for the curly fries I really like them. It's funny because it's never too difficult to get some guys together to go to one but once we get there it's just like any other place, except that we might comment on the attractiveness of the staff a little more. My most recent visit was like that. We got there, ordered 50 wings and a pitcher (beer is overpriced, but that's any Hooter's.) This was my first visit EVER to a Hooters. It's not my cup of tea, and I'm not really a wings kind of girl. Anyway - my son has been wanting to go here (eye roll) and my daughter actually agreed (seriously, did anyone notice any pigs flying?) and my husband certainly wasn't going to disagree. I was disappointed that there was nothing appealing on the menu - aside from tater tots. I do love me some tots. Anywho ... I decided on the honey bbq boneless wings, because if I do eat wings, they better not be a bone in 'em. Then they are just like breaded hunks of chicken and that I can do. Hi, This was my first time in Hooters & I had such an horrible experience that I will never forget in my life. I never thought it is possible in America. Here is the chronology of the event: We were a party of 10/12 people celebrating a friend's pre marriage party. Hoping to have a good time we selected hooters & gathered there by 8 pm. We wrapped up the food & drink by 10 pm. We were still hanging around, since couple of guys were finishing up the dinner. By 10:28, we asked a server to click a group picture so that we mark this an event & make our way out. To all of our surprise the manager (Destin), screamed as us & pointing towards the door screamed "Get Out". I politely asked him, if we could take a picture & go out, to this he said, if we are not out, he would call the cops. I wish we had recorded the whole thing. BTW, I think your place should have a camera. I urge you to check it out. Also, like to point out all the servers were very kind & helpful, except the manager. Spoiled chicken? Great service but the chicken sandwich I ordered was just not right. Think it was spoiled which makes me worry about the safety of the food. I happened to take the family there last night for dinner and ordered wings for my son and myself and when they came I was in shock. If I wanted tiny wings I would have ordered from wing stop which would have saved me 100 bucks. I remember the wings looked like they were on steroids how huge they were. I looked at the waitress, I'm sorry she had to see that look, like where's the rest of them. You use to get the full wing when you ordered and now it's either the drum or the flap. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I had forgotten my debit card at home and didn't realize it until towards the end of the meal. I notified the waitress, Courtney, and she brought over the manager. The managers name is Houry or something, she has black hair with a spot on her face (left cheek). She came over and immediately started accusing me of theft. This (and many other) Hooters have seen better days. The furnishings and surroundings are worn and in dire need of renewal or upgrade. The areas around the waitress stations are dirty and disgusting. In the main dining area (in plain sight of diners while eating) is a rag bucket hanging on the wall on a coat hook. The waitresses and manager drop dirty dishes from waist high into bussing bins by the kitchen door causing remaining food to splash everywhere and the resulting crash to startle diners. If you come here, take a look at the door frame leading into the kitchen from the main dining room... if its that dirty on the customer side, what does it look like hidden away in the kitchen? Bathrooms smell like urine and are much in need of a remodel. It seems like Hooters just stopped trying to be competitive. I don't expect a 5 star dining experience but is expecting clean, tidy and consideration for diners too much to ask? This is why its been so easy for competitors to enter into the market and deliver a better experience without relying on innuendo for the draw. Went here with some work buds today at the request of one in the group who had a craving for wings. The food was just awful. We all got the boneless wings and fries deal. The wings came out with no sauce as the eye can see. Instead, a soupy puddle of oil on the bottom of the plate. I was a pretty big Hooters fan back in the day. I still contend their wings are the best going. That said, they have gone WAY down-hill. You would think that with all the competition in Schaumburg (particularly direct competitors like Tilted Kilt and Twin Peaks) that Hooters would make an effort to step it up a notch. Calls me back a few minutes later to tell me they didn't have that item either (another item clearly marked on their menu) I then asked what types of salads they have. She listed them and I asked "What is in the Hooters salad?" to which a very confused waitress answered "ummm...a bunch of vegetables...I'm not really sure, I'm new". Uhh.....okay. Fine. Arrived to pay over $45 for 2 people. This same order used to cost about $20 about 5 years ago. I get the meal home to find my philly cheesesteak, once a very good Hooters offering, skimpy and dried out. It used to come with an au jus type sauce in a cup. Nothing. Not to mention, not served with garnishes or potato salad like it used to be - just ala carte, and even more pricey. The "salad" I got LITERALLY didn't have lettuce. I couldn't make this up if I tried. My wife looked at it confused. It used to be a very big, fresh looking salad. I don't even know what we were looking at. VERY disappointing. I ordered a key-lime pie dessert, and of course, received strawberry cheesecake. C'mon, Hooters, get your act together. You were once a happenin' spot with great food that had lines out the door. I asked both the waitress and the bartender if they brought me a kiddie mock-tail, by mistake?.. They assured me it contained Southern Comfort. For another $7.50 I ordered a shot of So Co and poured it in, now it tastes correct. $15 for that one drink to taste right. You could go broke drinking here. IF Hooters is your final destination: 1) drink beer or 2) pre-party. Lightweights may have a better time. Service... was a 2, maybe 3 star. Skin color matters. There was a table of Japanese guys and some Indian (possibly) IT guys near us. So service to my friend and I versus the Asians and White people, you could tell who was getting the nice friendly service and who was getting the stuck up bitchy. We got the stuck up bitchy kind. She was cute. But, no personality, no nice customer service. Lucky for us, though she was going home, so we got a new waitress which was genuinely nice and sweet. If it wasn't for that, I would be writing a one star fuck you review. And writing a fuck you letter to their customer service dept. BTW, if your server is engaged in a deep conversation with customers and isn't paying attention to you. Don't try going to the bartender yourself to order. That Pike back there won't help you. I've been going to Hooters since my Florida days back in 1988. The food hasn't changed but my ability to eat it certainly has. lol I've always loved the wings...meaty and spicy (or as spicy as you want them)...but since this isn't a food I eat regularly anymore I can't offer a comparison to more recent wing places that have popped up. What do I order? Samuel Adams! Curly fries to start! 911 Wings! Blue Cheese and celery! Yea! What also hasn't changed is the theme...female servers in tight t-shirts (get it? Nudge nudge...Hooters?) and little orange shorts. It's a bit tired. It's also a bit...pointless...since hiring standards have relaxed since the good ol' days and so...um...nevermind. I just think that if you're going to keep hammering away at the same old theme with the little outfits and the bikini pictures on the walls you might want to...um...nevermind. I think the audience for the sexy server thing has moved on to more modern places like The Tilted Kilt. And that means........ Hooters is now a solid family place. You see more babies and toddlers here than groups of ogling bachelors. Lots of the kinds of foods kids like and the atmosphere is fun for them. I think a lot of women have the impression that Hooters is just one step short of a strip club but no. I've never been uncomfortable at any Hooters. One thing I have to give a shout out to the servers for is the KINDNESS I see in so many of their hearts. I've observed that a lot of solitary guys go there to eat. HORRIBLE SERVICE..... I come here all the time, I love the wings and love how its family friendly so i take my children with. Today i brought my 2 kids along with my little sister and parents for a nice sunday lunch. now we were greeted fast and got seated very quickly. Our waitress Christina M. must hate her Job or was just not wanting to serve our table. Mind you , its sunday ( messy bun going on with regular tank, glasses no makeup) so i looked pretty relaxed , maybe on my bummy side. (Hey! don't choose a book by its cover.) so we came not dress prepared. well anyway, she took a very long time to greet us, it wasn't very busy at all. Finally she came to our table, asked for drinks. we ordered. food came, drops off food on a big round plate and leaves it on the corner of the table so we can pass it around our selfs, it was 6 of us. i was Shocked!!!! OH MY!!!! and she disappears. Now all of our drinks needed to be refilled from the hot spicy wings we ordered ( we were all dying) By the time she came to even ask if we needed anything we were done and needed some boxes. Never once did she ask if order was good or we needed anything.(we were missing 2 ranch) we got the bill and she charged my 2 kids drinks. now if im correct, the kids menu says 12 and under. now i think my kids are able to get their drinks for free. i have a 12 and 10. i ask her if the kids drinks were free and she said yes they are. so she went back and only took 1 drink off. i mean i don't mind paying but thats what kids menu says. i didnt even bother to tell her she only took 1 off. we paid anyways. now i don't know if she just had a bad day , or if my bummyness seemed to bother her thinking we don't have money( my family is very wealthy) who knows, but i won't ever dine in again. sorry to say. it was a horrible experience and an embarrassment to my parents to bring them there. read more

This review is for the cleanliness and maintenance. The servers are great and food is as expected. I sat at the bar top and made some gruesome observations on Football Sunday 10/19. Pictures are separate as I cannot attach in this review. The fryer faces the customers at the bar. I can clearly see some unhealthy practices. There is filth on the fliers, old nasty grease dripping off front and huge amounts of grease caking the wheels!! It was soooo gross that I ordered a salad in lieu of anything from the fryer. I never really come to Hooters, I just wanted a place to go to after work to sit and relax but ordering took a long time. Godawful. Really godawful. We ordered boneless wings with curly fries on the side. When we got the "wings," which were the size of McNuggets, the sauce was non existant. So we pointed this out to the manager and got a side of hot sauce which was still all butter, no buffalo. Service was non-existant; no one was tending to our drink refills. Instead, the server just nonchalantly dropped the check on our table and walked away without acknowledging us. At this point I was upset enough to summon a manager about this experience. The manager kept asking how we got the sauces instead of focusing on my concerns of the (lack of) taste in both the "chicken" and the sauce as well as the bad service from the server. After a minute of explaining the situation, the manager removed the chicken (of which my friend and I ate 3 of them) from the bill. Because of my disatisfaction, I paid exactly the $11.26 on the bill... in cash. Oh, yeah, no one apologized. If there was a zero star rating I would give this establishment that instead. It's slipping. Quality of food has gone downhill. Had a salad which was just damp lettuce until I found a glob of dressing at the bottom of the bowl. Sat at the bar and I know the bartender handles that space and all the drink orders. It was ok. They kept messing with the heating and it was uncomfortable. Our waitress was polite. The wings came out very hot but flavorless and the bleu cheese dip was runny. The celery that accompanied our food was dirty. I saw managers walking around changing channels and messing with the heat. Perhaps, check at random tables in the back would have been nice. What I found interesting after read the the posted reviews is that they never respond to the women who post a not so favorable review. Btw, management, you should focus on your female patrons as we're more critical than the men who fawn over your waitresses. So, I'll wait until I actually get a response before returning. Hooter's #2 review. (Reminiscing) Ahhh, back in the days of high school when my friends and I would come here on half-days or early dismissals to get a Hooter burger with cheese, bacon, and mushrooms... Then when I worked at Woodfield Mall and would go here with co-workers (the general manager is gay, didn't know it, but he liked going there because there were a lot of guys.........) Now I go for the crab legs and 911 boneless wings- they have a special on Wingsday err Wednesday. I still throw on the Hooter's Seasoning Salt onto the legs and add about a half bottle of the hot sauce to my bleu cheese for chicken dippin'. I dunno, the girls at this location are not as friendly as the one in Downers Grove but they are still very good at what they do. If I had a choice I'd go to the previous location except my dining partner hates that one so of course I will oblige and go here. Hey, take the end seat at the bar next to the "window" where all the food comes out. Look up at the grease trap metal where all the stickers are, just to the right.
