Special shout-out to my bartender FAITH, at this Sugar Land, TX franchise who was super attentive and friendly during my entire hang. She is a rare unicorn in the chain / bar restaurant landscape who seems to enjoy providing a positive customer experience. This location is on par with the other Hooters locations that I have been to. The restaurant is spacious with many televisions playing sports events. The waitress was nice but she didn't seem super interested in serving us. The fried pickles are always a must order for me. The batter is flavored well and the pickles came piping hot and paired well with the dipping sauce. The wings were also quite tasty but I was very disappointed in the size of the wings. With so many Hooters locations around me closing over the years, my options have basically narrowed down to Katy or Sugar Land. This time, we decided to give the Sugar Land location a shot. At the end of the day--it's a Hooters. If you've been to one, you know what to expect. Service is always a bit hit or miss, and that seems to be true across the board based on reviews of pretty much any Hooters. For us, service here was just okay. No wait at all for a table on a Saturday night, which was a definite plus. Our waitress wasn't rude by any means, but she wasn't especially friendly either--just average. The beginning of the meal went smoothly: orders were taken quickly and the food came out at a good pace. That said, Hooters still seems to struggle with one thing consistently--taking payment. For some reason, it always takes forever, and this visit was no exception. Honestly though, that's expected at this point, so it wasn't disappointing. Now let's talk about the food: spectacular. The wings are the real reason to come here. In my opinion, they're the best wings in Houston (yes, feel free to call me crazy). One obvious downside--and you can see this clearly in my photos--is the wing size. Wing sizes at Hooters vary by location and over time, and this was hands down the smallest I've ever experienced. They were basically the size of my pinky. Tiny... but still incredibly delicious. If you can get past the slower service and smaller portions, this place is definitely worth a visit. **Do not waste your money at this location.** On July 24th at approximately 6:33 PM, I placed a to-go order for a 20-piece wing order and a large fry, totaling $36. I did not inspect the order before leaving the restaurant, which I now regret. Once I got home, the wings tasted as though they had been fried in old, reused grease. The curly fries were just as bad -- they appeared to be the tail end of an old batch, broken into small fragments. I don't think I got a single full curly fry in the entire order. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, AJ Gomez, to share my experience. I've been a Hooters customer since the company's inception, and this was, by far, my worst experience with the brand. Rather than taking ownership of the issue, he treated me as though I was fabricating the complaint to get a free meal -- which was never my intent. I told him directly I was not looking for a credit or compensation. All I wanted was for the issue to be acknowledged. Instead, he said he'd "get back to me" within 24-48 hours, as if my $36 order and my experience weren't worth addressing on the spot. I also had to push hard just to get the name of the franchise owner, which he eventually shared as HNC Hospitality -- but he refused to provide any contact number for them. I made every effort to resolve this at the store level first. Since that didn't work, I'll be escalating to corporate and reaching out to the franchise owner directly. But in the meantime, I want the public to know what to expect here. I will never patronize this location again -- not just because of the food quality, but because of how AJ Gomez handled the situation. If you're craving fresh wings, you have better options nearby, including Bombshells, which recently opened just down the same frontage road. Our waitress was elusive, slow, and even tried to blame us for mistakes she made on our order. The food was equally disappointing. I ordered the Daytona wings, which are supposed to be grilled, but these were just dropped in the fryer and drenched in an overly sweet sauce. Awful experience from start to finish. The wait time is ridiculous--you'll be standing around forever, and when you finally get your order, chances are it'll be wrong. The customer service is basically nonexistent, and the staff doesn't seem to care at all. On top of that, people were smoking inside, which is unacceptable and makes the whole place feel even worse. Generally speaking I will give Hooters a four or five star depending on weather you're talking about stunningly beautiful girls or pretty damn good wings. A couple years ago I started coming to this Stafford location after decades of not going to one. Hands down this is the cleanest, friendliest and best quality of food I have had at any location. I had another experience that I feel is important to share. I came in one night and decided to play some music on the jukebox using my own money and card. Not long after, the General Manager (GM) skipped all the songs I paid for and replaced them with his own selections. As a paying customer, that felt really disrespectful. I didn't break any rules, and the music I played was appropriate. If customers are paying to personalize their experience--even just through music--that should be respected. It's frustrating to feel like your money and presence aren't valued. It honestly made me reconsider coming back. Experiences like that really affect the atmosphere and how welcome people feel. Hooters service can be a hit and a miss, oftentimes a miss. While I didn't dine in, it did take a while for me to get greeted. I ordered six bone-in samurai teriyaki wings and the cheesy tots appetizer. The app is one Napoleon Dynamite would appreciate as you get a generous supply of tots covered in cheese, bacon, and a side of sour cream. I'm a fan of Hooters' wings and I tend to go with sweet Asian flavors like the teriyaki. What puts this location at the top of my list in the Houston area is that the girls were flame emoji, the restaurant was clean, and the service was relatively good. Threw up. Won't go back. It is extremely rare that I have gotten so sick after eating at a restaurant that I wind up vomiting but it happened right after eating here. I ordered the grilled chicken garden salad with ranch dressing. I figured you can't really mess up a salad but I was wrong. As I took the first bite, I noticed that the ranch dressing had kind of a funny smell to it. After a few more bites, my stomach started feeling queasy. I suppressed the urge to vomit right there at the table because I didn't want to make a scene. I didn't finish the salad and decided to jump in the car and head home. When I got to the parking lot, I felt like I was about to vomit again. I fought it, though, because I didn't want people watching me vomit in the parking lot through the windows while they were eating. I made it onto the highway before I actually vomited. This location seems to have made great efforts to improve. I ate here the last time I was in Stafford about 3 months ago, as it is convenient to the Hampton Inn. It was I just ok. Bronte' was my server this evening, (named after an author, not sure which sister). She was very nice, friendly, attentive, and gorgeous. Terrible service. Had been at the bar for about 2 hours and asked twice, by the first bartender, if I needed anything. I always tip well when it comes to good service because I know thats where they make their money. First bartender was good but once she took her (break I guess) her back up was not. Hooters is always good, I've never had problems with the food. The service though is one thing. I didn't see not one server smile while taking orders. It was if they were just going through the motions with no emotions. I ordered my food to go and when I arrived no one bothered to help me. I had to flag someone down to help me get my order. I'm always courteous and understanding when it comes to servers because I was one myself when I was younger for a few years. A very good Hooters. The only better ones I've found are in Florida. I like this Hooters, because as a woman, I don't feel uncomfortable here. There are often couples, women, and families at this location. The waitresses here are always polite and do a good job. I LOVE the hooters wings! They are always consistently delicious! Other favorites: ham and cheese sandwich, chicken sandwich, curly fries, and beans. What would I change? I'd make this location nonsmoking! Houston and Sugar Land are both nonsmoking, but because this is technically located in Stafford, you will find a smoking section. My biggest gripe is that there is only Pepsi products (NO COKE!) and that's a big detractor for me! Otherwise, everything else here is very good. read more

A piss poor experience! I haven't been in a few years to this location and I remember why after coming in today. When seated we were given dirty black and white menus. We were one of a few tables in the restaurant and when we got a table we sat for about 15 min before someone came to give us water. We ordered chips and queso which wasn't good and waited so long for our food to get there. When our server took our order we ask questions and she didn't know much of anything about the items on the menu. She also had a bit of BO which made it difficult to eat. This place has the worst service. The hostess was rude, sat us at a table with no menus or silverware. Our server did not know anything. I had to go ask for menus and the hostess looked dumbfounded. Our server brought the kids drinks but took 20 minutes to bring our drinks. She brought out one order 20 minutes before bringing the rest of the food, so one child had food and no one else did. She was basically finished before everyone else had food. I went to ask the hostess for silverware and she was so busy on her phone she didn't acknowledge me. After going around the hostess stand to look myself, I had to get her attention and she acted like she didn't know what silverware was.
