I have been a loyal customer at Hooters Sunrise for over four years, visiting approximately two to three times a week after work. During that time, I have always had wonderful experiences with the staff and management. The managers typically make a point to walk around, speak with guests, and ensure everyone is having a good experience, which is one of the reasons I continue to return. However, yesterday I had a very disappointing interaction with a new manager named Wayne. I have noticed on previous occasions that he often appears very serious and does not acknowledge customers. Yesterday, I greeted him twice, and both times he ignored me. The third time, I politely asked him why he always seemed so serious and why he did not speak to customers. His response was very dismissive. He stated, "That's just how I am. I've been doing this for four years, and that's what it is." As a regular customer who has supported this location for years, I found his response rude, unprofessional, and not reflective of the level of customer service I have always received from the other managers. Several other regular customers who witnessed the interaction commented that this is one of the reasons they do not like coming in when he is working. I am bringing this to your attention because I truly enjoy this location and appreciate the wonderful staff and managers who have made me feel welcome over the years. I hope this matter can be addressed with Wayne so that all customers continue to receive the friendly and welcoming experience that Hooters Sunrise is known for. Hooters have a great selection of drinks and food on their happy hour menu which is from 3-6pm M-F. If you like coconut I recommend getting Neon Ocean water drink. You can't go wrong with the $5 83 Margarita. If you sit by the bar you'll be served within minutes of being seated. read more

This is possibly the last time I ever step foot in a Hooters. I came in for Happy Hour on the patio as they have a pretty decent specials. I ordered. It wasn't busy, as I went and took a seat I was greeted in less than 5 mins. I was by myself, I ordered a beer, chicken wings and fries. The food came out in good timing. I was done with majority of my beer as there was probably a gulp left. The food was completely finished, I sat for 40 mins in full visibility of the bartender that was serving and she never came back. I observed her service other tables more than once that came in before and after, where I only saw her when she took my order. I said to myself let me give it 10 more mins..: nothing. I decided to leave my cash on the table and proceeded to walk out. As I was 3 steps from the table she said to me, don't want your check? My response was it's paid for. I actually wanted another drink and a to go order as well. But it wasn't worth it and I would rather go to another establishment at this point. Staff seems disinterested and not really friendly. Not sure what Hooters corporate is doing but closing great, profitable locations like Boca and letting other locations decline makes no sense. There is not one location any longer in Palm Beach. Poor strategy. read more

On June 7th I walked into this Hooters the service was very very poor. . They have you sit yourself which I didn't know but after sitting myself I sat for 15 to 20 mins nobody serviced me not even a glass of water . . When speaking to the manger he makes excuses for his employs saying they didnt see me but they serviced the tablet next to me there checks and gave other table not to far from me there to go boxes . . Haven't been to a Hooters in so long! Came for dinner with my family of 6, my son arrived before the rest of us and was able to give them a cake for his gf. Service was good Gabi was a great waitress, friendly and attentive. Loved her bubbly personality. Food was fresh and came out at a decent time. They came out to sing happy birthday. Manager was friendly and attentive as well. Loved that every booth had a tv in it so no more breaking your necks to see a tv. They had a nice outdoor section as well. Just ordered via uber eats (Alya.c) I ordered a 20-piece, with 10 Honey Thai wings and 10 garlic parm wings. This was my first time trying the Honey Thai wings, and they were absolutely delicious! The chicken stayed crispy instead of getting soggy like I expected from the sauce. It had just the right balance of sweetness and a tangy chili kick. I also appreciated that they were evenly coated sometimes at places like Wingstop, you end up with half the wings tossed and the others overly crispy, almost burnt. Now I understand why the Honey Thai wings are a top seller at Hooters! The garlic parm wings were a little soggy, which is why I took off a star, but they were still very tasty. Service was iffy to start with getting our food and having to ask for utensils. Was never asked how everything was, we didn't get our sauces we asked for and then after waving down the manager (anyone to be honest) told us we should be charged for the sauces, but he will grab them. People come to Hooters for the... bubbly personalities and great service, which this location is loaded with. All of our servers have been very friendly, but also very knowledgeable about the menu and different wing sauces. Sure, you might be able to get better wings somewhere else, but the laid-back environment and wait staff are well worth the visit. Cindy was our most recent waitress. She was super funny and engaging, and she only started a short while ago. It's also a great venue to watch sporting events, especially Heat Basketball!!! The outside bar is usually packed, but with two bartenders, you never have to wait long for a drink. I've had the tacos before and they're pretty good, but I usually get the wings when I come. None of the sauces or spices are particularly hot if you're looking for that kinda thing, but the combinations they have are flavorful. I'd recommend the smoked jerk wings naked, the honey Sriracha breaded, and the spicy garlic wings with fries... And don't forget the cheese!!! This Hooters is definitely not as good as the one in Weston. They had plenty of help on hand yet service was very slow. One of the things I wanted was the Bavarian pretzel that is on the menu. When I asked our server about it she told me it was not served as a pretzel and cut into peices. Even though the menu says Bavarian pretzel its not , its pretzel bread. That is not the same thing. The other thing I wanted were the smoked wings. I had them at the Weston location and they were really good so I thought I would have them again. That was not in the cards for last night, the smokey machine was out of order. I ended up with plain chicken wings with three mile island hot sauce on the side. They were god although I could have used more sauce on the side. I also had the adult grilled cheese, I've also had it a few times in Weston and it is awesome! It was just okay here. First it could have been cooked longer and the curly fries came out luke warm. They probably sat for a while before they were sent out. My kid and my friend seemed to like what they had, clam chowder ,wings, fries, and a bacon cheese burger. Grabbed a quick bite to eat with a friend early this afternoon, and as always Hooters never disappoints. The hostesses and waitresses were very nice and efficient with service. We ordered the strawberry squeeze drink, and the pretzel bread (which was so soft and paired well with the cheese dip given). We ordered the medium breaded wings, and naked honey Thai wings. The wings came out quick, hot, and crispy. Also we were given the right amount of sauce on the wings to where we barely used our blue cheese because the sauce gave a great flavor. I'm honestly heartbroken writing this. My sister and I have been coming to this Hooters for years. It used to be our spot. We were regulars. The food was always on point, the service was solid, and there was a sense of pride in the way things were run--especially under the old manager (may he rest in peace if the rumors are true). But ever since he passed or was removed, this place has completely fallen apart. We decided to give it one last try. BIG mistake. From the moment we walked in, the energy was off. The waitress acted like we were a bother, and the new manager? Easily one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with in customer service. We ordered two salads and 20 mild buffalo wings wet. It took 45 minutes to come out, and when it finally did, it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The salads were soggy and brown. The wings were dry as a bone, cold to the touch, and drenched in oil--not sauce--OIL. We literally almost threw up. We respectfully brought it to the manager's attention, thinking he'd want to make it right... and he straight-up dismissed us. Told us "that's just how we do it" like we haven't been eating at this Hooters for years and know the difference between saucy wings and greasy trash. He even brought us a cup of cold buffalo sauce that was almost frozen and expected us to pour it on ourselves like that would fix it. I calmly asked him to remake the plate, reminded him that we're regulars and know what the food is supposed to be like. Instead of helping, he got defensive and clearly didn't care. The food came out in about 25 minutes, it took a super long while unfortunately. There was a table that came in about ten minutes after us and they got their food before us which was odd. The service was a 2 stars. My husbands wings were 1 Star because the sauce was at the bottom and it was oily; the wings weren't covered with sauce and the sauce was almost a buttery consistency, not a buffalo sauce. My wings on the other hand was superb; I gave my wings alone 4.5 stars. The batter was crunchy and the sauce was delicious. The loaded tater tots had cheese, bacon, and sour cream on it; that was also delicious. We ordered 20 breaded traditional wings with the bone in and we typically get the mild and hot sauce on the side, bc we're notorious for not finishing our chicken and if so, its not soggy in sauce by the time we get home. We also got curly friend and a clam chowder. I also ordered a classic mojito. The chicken was not like I remembered. They lack meat and wasn't as juicy, and flavorful as before. I hadn't been to Hooters say maybe 6months prior to this. Despite gettin our sauce on the side, we always order like that. The fries were curly and fresh tho. We also got ranch and celery. We were given three ranch sauces and charged for all three. The celery was also an extra charge, granted the waitress did ask if we wanted celery. Last night we were watching Monday Night Football at the bar rail when the manager, Darrion, raised all the lights, then pointed the remote at the TVs and turned them off. The scored was tied with two minutes left in the game and we had several sips of cocktail left in our glasses. When I asked him why he did that his response was, "we're closed." Being in the restaurant business, I understand wanting guests to leave the building but this was only twenty minutes after last call and the bartender (who was awesome btw, her name might have been Alia) was still cleaning and sorting her bar drawer. When I told Darrion I was going to complain his reply was "Good! Go complain to someone!" Today I called and spoke to another manager, named Rich (who was very nice) and said it isn't Hooters policy to kick guests out before the game ends. I love Hooters and just wanted to share my bad experience. Someone needs to remind Darrion the value of guests and why we frequent good establishments. Every time I crave wings or buffalo shrimp, I go to Hooters. Their habanero wings are the best! We went on a Thursday and I got the buffalo shrimp wrap. Delish! Every single time I've been here, the waitresses have been nothing short of friendly and amazing. BTW, their fried pickles are pretty good too. For the first time I forgot her vest but by law it is not necessary, besides I was only ordering to take out. I waited at the end of the outdoor bar and asked who was clearly the manager if I can order to go at the outdoor bar. She says you need to go inside but you.... I said she's a service dog she's good. To my surprise the lady rudely demands to know what my handicap is? I was taken by surprise as all I heard training with and for this dog is, it's illegal for people to ask what my handicap is. I said, you know it's illegal for you to ask that. She rudely answered that's the only thing I can ask. I was taken back by her rudeness as she clearly profiled me at this point. She never once even looked down at my black lab that is always by my side and never goes to anyone. She is not the type of dog that goes sniffing around. This manager did not care about the dog it was all about me and how she already profiled me. She said this is not going to happen you cannot be here. As insulted as I've ever been Hooters denied me service handicap or not this lady was the rudest person in charge of a restaurants as I've ever seen. If this is the way Hooters train their people to profile and ask what people's handicap is then Hooters is responsible for this lady who discriminated against me today. I have never been kicked out of anywhere with my dog. She gets compliments everywhere we go. This was clearly not about the dog and 100% profiling. I did not make a scene but I should have asked for police officer and show him my service dog ID which this manager never even cared to ask. BBB does not handle discrimination cases and suggests I should reach out to my state attorney's office.
