I had the most unpleasant experience of customer service at Hooters in Williamsburg, VA on bypass drive. The waitress (Jess) was very slow in service and no where to be found to pay for my food! I spoke to the manager (Cory) who was on duty and he was clueless to how to resolve customers complaints. He also, had no clue to what is the corporate telephone number, nor his owner's phone number! TERRIBLE customer service and I WOULD NOT suggest this restaurant as a place to eat at! read more

I ordered the 10 piece Naked wings on 1/24 online. I went to the store 20 minutes later and they said their online printer does not work. They told me to wait 10min and they'd give me extra wings. I waited 15-20min longer, got my order and it was not worth it. The wings were pretty tough to chew and some of the pieces just didn't have flavor. I was reluctant after reading the other reviews but my family and I couldn't figure out where else to go. We got into town so late and everything was closing in 20mins - when in doubt go to Hooters! The food was good. Nothing was overdone and everything had a perfect crispy-ness. Our waitress, Liane, recommended a drink called the Blue Hawaiian, which isn't on the menu. Nevertheless, it was delicious. My buffalo chicken tacos were tasty and the fries didn't disappoint. I know restaurants have their good and bad days but I think Friday night around 10pm was a good time for a good late night dish at this Hooters. Next time, I'll include pictures. read more

Quiet Sunday evening. I arrived about 2050. The location probably was probably 1/3 full. Staffing seemed adequate to handle that many people. I was seated promptly and Helga (name has been changed) greeted me and took my drink order. She came back about 15 minutes later with my drink and took my food order. I ordered buffalo shrimp and wings. She came back a few minutes later to inform me that I had missed one of the specials by 15 minutes. (I had waited on her for 15 minutes). I told her I would still take the food as ordered. Apparently the shrimp were already prepared. She brought them right out. They tasted as though they had been sitting for a while. Two of the shrimp were not warm. The rest were room temperature. Taste was not quite right despite hot sauce covering it up. I figured it was just me. Wings came out about 15 minutes later. The meat quality was poor. The taste was off, the breading was not consistent, sort of pockets of breading and bare skin, almost as though they had breading mange. I realized that I was right about the shrimp tasting funny and the wings were even worse. Helga forgot the dressing and did not return to my table for a considerable amount of time. However, she did manage to go to the front and talk to a co-worker for about 10 minutes and sit down at a table and chat with a customer for another 10. In case you are wondering, no my drink was never refilled. I saw the manager walking through and asked him for my dressing. A few minutes later he gives me a tiny shot glass sized plastic cup. As though I could dip my wings in that. Later, I did notice I was charged 0.53 for the shot of dressing. Way to go guys!! Of the 10 wings, I could only eat four. They were with out a doubt, the worse wings I have ever had. The food was not even mediocre. It was just terribly pathetic. The wings had that cooked in old, burnt oil, set aside, then reheated taste to them. I was going to order chocolate cake. However, based upon the shrimp and the wings I decided to not risk it. Helga asked if I wanted a box when she stopped by my table. I told her no thanks. She didn't think. "Hmmm there is a 6'4" 270 pound guy here and he has a 10 wing order and 6 are left....perhaps something is wrong." Nope. She didn't ask, and apparently didn't tell the manager. I know she talked to him. More on that later. She brought the bill and disappeared. Didn't see Helga I waited 15 minutes, still no Helga. I put on my coat and waited some more. I stood up and looked around and waited. No sign of Helga. I walked up to the bar cash register and asked the server there to cash me out. OH. I had to have Helga to do that. Guess where she was? She was on the other side of the bar, out of sight, chatting with the manager. He didn't even ask why I felt it necessary to come to the bar to cash out. This place is in serious need of help. I have gotten decent service and food here in the past, but that was over a year ago. I doubt I will return. I also will probably not visit another Hooters. There are too many other options out there. Oh, and Helga, is just a small part of the problem. You can have a bad server, or someone incompetent. I get that. However, food and the quality is what brings people in. Sadly, Hooters is not what it used to be. Awesome location and very friendly staff. We've been to this Hooters a few times and always feel welcomed and taken care of. The food has always been quicker than expected and always hot!!!. So I wanted to go see the attractive girls and what hooters was all about I walked in a great mood thinking like I'm bout to give someone a great tip. Like 20 -30 dollars. Walked in there was no one there to seat people . Fair enough, they might be very busy. Within a minute a lady with a nice bubbly personality greeted me and seated me. While I sat I noticed The girls here were real cute and friendly. Then I waited and waited ... 16 mins later. It wasn't until a family got seated next to me that I got served. I got a server named Wendy that is probably usually nice, but it looked like she had a long day, and spent on energy . However it would've been nice to have someone nice after that wait. Ordered got my food at a reasonable time. Food was alright like a 6-7/10 , but I didn't really come food the food. C'mon I'm from New York. Gave the server a 30% tip and walked out midly happy I experienced a hooters and midly annoyed I'm not the one to pull the race card , but 16 mins without being greeted by a server ? To be honest it could have been many things. Maybe they were truly busy, or they didn't think I would tip(which shouldn't matter) or a genuine mistake. This Hooters was significantly better than our home town Hooters that we normally go to on UFC fight night. Our waitress (Janie? I can't remember our name) was very helpful and on top of getting our food/drinks out to us. My friend and I left early because we were feeling hellacrappy. My husband and her boyfriend stayed to watch the fights. He said the only issue he had was that he got charged $8 for a double rum and coke that had no rum, only coke and that it came in a very small glass. We stopped in because we were craving wings after a long drive to get here. Table was filthy and bar was backed up so it took a while to get a beer. We ordered and asked for wings to start with, meaning as an appetizer before our sandwiches. Must have been some miscommunication because our sandwiches came out first. No biggie I said "forget about the wings, we'll just eat this". Manager interrupts our meal after and has an attitude because we canceled the wings. So the last Hooters experience I had was HORRIBLE! Food, service, facility cleanliness... That was at the NN location. I was hesitant to go back to any Hooters because of all the terrible experiences I personally had, as well as horror stories of a few of my friends... My friend had to redeem his recommendation of the Daytona-style, so tonight was the night. We come to this location and it is booming inside! Packed to the brim. The hostess greets us right away and let's us know there's a short wait, which was completely understandable. We only waited about 5 minutes before the hostess brings us to our table. 2 minutes later, we are greeted by our waitress, Whitney R. Let me tell you, she is fantastic! Super friendly, beautiful, and extremely attentive. Just overall extraordinary! She took our orders and not 10-15 minutes later, the wings came out! We were in awe. As busy as the joint was, the staff pushed it out! I ordered the General Tso's, my friend ordered the Daytona and Honey Thai for the all-you-can-eat. They were delicious! Perfectly done, hot, spicy. Whitney was constantly checking on us and delivering what we needed, along with taking care of a big group of rowdy patrons. It was just fabulous. After we finished our meals and the place died down, Whitney came and chatted with us for quite a bit. Even her coworkers were sweet enough to clear off her tables and help out. It was just friendly and welcoming. THE best experience I've had at a Hooters, which beats one time I went to the Virginia Beach location for one of my birthdays! Wonderful servers (much better than both the Hampton and Newport News locations), and after all, isn't that why we go to Hooters? All the girls were attentive and friendly, and the food was delivered quickly and tasted excellent. My only complaint (and what stops me from giving them five stars) is the ridiculous lack of standard bar liquors. Our primary purpose for going to Hooters was to celebrate my BF's birthday with drinks (we were staying at the hotel next door). We each decided to take shots of tequila. He orders a shot of Patron, while I order a shot of Jose. The waitress comes back after a minute, claiming that the bar doesn't have Jose (they've been out for over a month). Seemed a bit odd, but I went ahead and order a shot of Jack, which she was "pretty sure" they had. Thought nothing of it until about an hour later, we decide to take another shot. He, again, orders Patron, while I decide to ask for a shot of 1800. She comes back, again saying that they don't have 1800 behind the bar. I ask for one or two other brands before she finally finds out from the bar that they only have Patron and the well tequila (a brand I had never heard of). He order Patron, I ordered well, the bar messed up the shots...and he had one of the worst shots of tequila he had ever tasted. Besides the limited tequilas, they also seemed to be missing a lot of other standard bar liquors. Don't know if they were just wiped from Memorial Day weekend or if it's standard. Kudos to the waitress, though, for knowing to ask if we wanted our rims salted and lime with our tequila. read more

Met my husband for lunch on my hour work break. Worst service experience I have ever had there. The place was busy probably due to holiday party groups and we generously took that into account. Our waitress advised us to place our order before a large party was scheduled to arrive at restaurant so we did. Our first round of drinks and a fried pickle appetizer came quickly but my husband had to wave down the waitress across the room and hold up his empty beer mug to get her attention for a refill. When she delivered 2nd beer, she advised us that there were only two staff members serving a packed restaurant. Needless to say, we NEVER saw any of our wings that we ordered and I had to RUSH back to work so I was not late. Unacceptable, poor management and staffing. Won't be going back there. read more

So I came here last night for dinner after being in Williamsburg for a conference. So starting off they clearly need to train their staff better I had a waitress that was new so I was very understanding but the poor girl had no idea what she was talking about or doing. I couldn't figure out if she didn't comprehend what I was saying or if she just wasn't trained well and was confused. She had no idea what a stimulus was she kept saying something about adding soda to it and it's made with juice. Then I told her I wanted a whiskey ginger and let's just say I ended up becoming my own waitress. First she bought me a whiskey and gin mixed together then after saying again that I wanted a whiskey ginger ale she bought me something with ginger beer so at this point I went to the bar myself and told the bartender what I wanted she apologized for the mishap. Then they had a shrimp special for April 1/2 steamed or 12 buffalo for $6.99 so I ordered then when my check came she tried to charge me regular price. Omg!! I told her and the manager corrected it and she said she would make sure the drinks that came out wrong we're taken off my tab. Let's just say when she came back those drinks were still up there so I went to the bar and as soon as I got there the bartender said you need the manager right. So let's just say he refunded me for the drinks and I left no tip which I absolutely hate doing. But please please please train the staff better! I'd come back if I was in the area since I've been before with no issues she just needs to be with another hooters girl for another few days. read more

While waiting 4 the food we had 2 ask 4 refills. We had 2 ask 4 napkins then when the food came we had 2 ask silverware. 2 of us got wings. Assuming ranch came with it however we were charged 0.79 a piece 4 ranch. Got a salad & damn if they didn't charge us 4 the ranch 4 that as well. Nothing was taking off the table the whole time. Despite it being a Saturday evening, Williamsburg was completely dead after 9pm and Hooters was one of only a few options available for a late dinner after ghost tour. We were seated promptly in a room that was mostly deserted and entirely too loud. While I don't expect rocket scientists to be working at Hooters, the waitress that we had might be the most clueless individual I've had the misfortune of interacting with in quite some time. She was pleasant, but when I ordered an unsweetend iced tea with any sweetner (regardless of the brand), she gave me sugar packets. Clearly, she missed the point that had I wanted sugar, I would have ordered sweet tea. My friend's order was equally simple and yet she managed to be confused by it. He ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad and she had to ask him what dressing he wanted on it. I understand that Hooters was likely the first of its ilk, but the bad leggings and hot pants reminiscent of the 70s need to go!! This was a horrible visit. We sat for two hours waiting for food and drinks. We had a party of 8 and the restaraunt was not packed but the service was slow. The food came out one or two plates at a time. We asked for the manager and he took his time coming out. Then he finally comes over and act like he wasn't caring. Explain to us how he was in the back all day. Excuses is not what I want to hear. I am a diabetic and I need to eat at a certain time this was entirely too long. By the time I received my food I was shaking. My family was not happy at all for the service. The waitress was complaining about how she was going to throw in the towel. I don't care I just want my food. I visited Hooters tonight@18:53 p.m. The few customers were engaged in the many football upsets going on. I received the worse customer service ever from Stephanie (my to go server) on check #853497-1. She first seemed bother that I wasn't sure what kind of wings I wanted. When I changed the order (after she rung it in) she seemed even more irritated...I even asked her if it's not to much trouble I would keep the order as is. I waited over 45 minutes for my order & still when I got home did not what I ordered. My shrimp and spinach salad did not have dressing. The wings were also not what we ordered. The worse yet is Stephanie did not acknowledge the extended wait or check the bag to moe sure the order was correct. Extremely dissatisfied customer!!! Came to this Hooters location on July 5th, 2021 with a party of 9; 2 families/5 children. This is my first Yelp review ever because I typically don't really care enough to write a review, good or bad. I prefer to reward solid establishments with repeat patronage and word of mouth recommendations and generally chalk up bad experiences to maybe someone was just having an off day. I am also not one of those types that wants to "speak to your manager". We walked into this establishment at 2:30 in the afternoon. There were literally 8 other patrons inside and another party of 2 outside. The host was far from welcoming when we entered the establishment. She notified us immediately the kitchen was busy making call-in orders and the wait for food would be more than 20 minutes. We amiably replied that would not be a problem. The initial feeling was implied the staff didn't care to have us there. We asked if we could be seated so we could order drinks while the kitchen caught up on the call-in orders. The host's reply was an irritated scoff before she said she didn't know if she could seat us as she turned her back on us and walked away from the hostess's podium. I can't fathom why you would not want to be selling drinks an extra twenty minutes before even taking an order for the entree. We patiently waited at the podium to see if she was actually going to seat us, but she stayed on the far side of the restaurant and ignored us. Ultimately we left without any further acknowledgment from the staff and found a pleasant restaurant within a 5 minute drive. Disappointing because we were looking forward to the chicken wings.
