Great experience. On a hot day, my water cup was never empty. The bread and olive oil dip were quickly delivered and so soft and tasty. I got the shrimp and scallop spiedino which is lightly breaded and a little saucy. The grilled vegetables side was worth the upcharge for some char adding a deeper flavor. We also got the John Cole for dessert for a light finish, as it's vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and pecans. The tables are nicely spaced out, music fits the Italian vibe, and our service was impeccable. There is a large parking lot and room for large or small groups. Ten of us attended the June Wine Dinner at the Williamsburg Carrabba's. We were among many others who came out for the wine dinner. The dining room with the wood booths and tables was comfortable and had a warm glow. The four courses were both flavorful and plentiful. The wine pairing was almost perfect, except the wine with dessert wasn't a good match in my opinion. These twice a month wine dinners are fun and very good. In addition to an enjoyable night out with friends, they pulled three tickets for prizes. The June meal started with a chilled shrimp salad, followed by spaghetti with carbonara sauce and grilled scallops, then a Parmesan crusted sirloin, and finally an absolutely delicious lemon cello bread pudding. Four wines accompanied the dinner, and the pours were sufficient for each course. The dinner cost $60 plus tax and tip. If you don't drink wine, or just want to skip wine that night, you will be charged less. In addition, you can order a take away meal for $10, and we usually order a chicken dish. There might an up charge for steak. They were fully staffed, running wine glasses, plates, and boxes for leftovers. All with a good attitude. The manager introduced the kitchen staff and their role in the dinner so we could applaud them. We were seated at 6:30 pm, and the dinner concluded just after 9 pm. We joined our friends again for tonight's wine dinner, enjoying camaraderie while dining on fabulous multiple courses. The mushroom soup was the starter, followed by a refreshing salad of beets, shrimp and cheese. The next course was a substantial grilled chicken cooked to perfection served with pasta, then the best cut of beef, a filet mignon topped with lobster accompanied by a half potato and asparagus. That filet mignon was cooked medium rare, an amazing feat for all of the dishes as our group had the same experience. Finally the dessert was a cheesecake. I couldn't believe how much I ate, but I stopped when I had eaten 75% of that perfect filet mignon, opting to bring it home along with the dessert. The food was amazing! I had the trio which came with Alfredo pasta, chicken parm and a lasagna. All great portions and flavor. I had a few drinks as well. Tito's and cranberry which was a little lite on the pour and heavy on the ice, but was consistent my 7 glasses I had. They had hockey and basketball on, I was able to keep up with the playoffs. Joined a large group of friends and associates from our community to enjoy a wine pairing dinner, featuring wines paired with preselected offerings. We've enjoyed these in the past and tonight was better than most! As always, most of the enjoyment comes from sharing with friends around the table. However, the meal itself was quite delicious, and the wines paired nicely. You have the option of participating in the wines or not, and that will be reflected on your bill. Another nice feature that Carrabba's offers is the $10 takeaway: If you've had a regular meal, for an additional $10 you can select another meal off their menu to take home, which we will enjoy today! Also, I ordered the peach sangria and the waiter failed to let me know because it was Happy Hour I could have gotten the 9oz glass at the 6oz price (I overheard him telling someone else). As with any other franchise or chain, the food here is for the masses not for individual flavor palettes. Our server was good. I wouldn't say it was exceptional. We were brought food that belonged to another table and had to request our water glasses be filled. I had the fettuccine weesie. It was very garlic filled. My partner had the linguine a la vodka which had a heavy pepper flavor. We both had wine. They were good and during happy hour, a great deal. The music when we arrived was more so geared toward a younger more hip crowd but towards the end of the dinner it became more background appropriate. I entered the building this morning to to pick up an order for DoorDash. It was my first order of the day and allow me to explain what took place today. I walk in at around 11:30am, a gentleman walks in, as the cooks are instructing him to bag up some orders. The guy was visibly angry and went to clock in. He then began throwing micro temper tantrums and was very rude to the other young lady server. She simply asked a question and the guy aggressively began moving boxes himself. This is about 2 minutes standing with nothing but employees in there and still being ignored. Wholly ignored until then cook asked me what I needed. I told him, moved forward and showed him. However, it's not the kitchens job to greet me that is why you have servers and host and a manager. I've been delivering there for years and have never dealt with this. I walked outside tired of waiting and try to cancel the order to avoid bothering the staff because they seemed very bothered. As I walked outside and tried to cancel the order DoorDash informed me I may risk a violation. So I decided to wait. I walked back in and asked the angry bothered gentleman server, "Are you going to allow the food to sit there and get cold? Because I saw the cook place an order on the counter. The server walked up to it looked at it and kept moving boxes. Just completely ignoring me. I go back to were I was waiting, it's about 10 minutes now and I want to go. So, I told the angry hungover server, "if you don't like your job find another one, there's plenty of jobs out there" then comes a man with a hoody on and a backward hat demanding me to leave his guys alone. This guy looked like he just rolled out of bed, I thought he was the linen guy. I told him, "I'm talking to him not you" The homeless looking guy began raising his voice stating that this is his restaurant or establishment. He was very angry and aggressive, I thought we were going to have to go hands on, because he was making demands from me saying its his place and pretty much to shut my mouth or get out. He began shaking saying he will call the police if I don't leave. I was trying to reason with him but again, he didn't want to hear it, it's either I shut up or leave. I couldn't even get a question in. He then aggressively asked me to leave but I told him, "What do you want me to do run the lady over who was moving boxes back and forth?" By his tone and demeanor and following me out threatening me is assult, I postured up ready to defend myself because I thought he was going to put his hands on me. As I got to the door he was directly behind me and slammed the door while hitting my arm. That's assualt and battery. I wasn't getting food I was there as a third party partner, so I had to stick around for a moment to cancel the order and tell DoorDash what happened. He then came back out side and began taunting me and threatening me again. I asked, "What is your problem?" I then drove away to the middle parking lot because I saw an officer there in the median and felt more safe. I will be pressing charges for assult and battery and will be in touch with Blooming Brands Inc. That guy doesn't need to be around people acting as if he's a bouncer at a night club. read more

My husband and I went to Carrabbas 2/17/2024 just to have a moment out without my now teens. We had an amazing time. The restaurant was a little crowed so we were waitlisted. We were texted within the quoted wait time which at a lot of other places doesn't really happen. The place was clean and still decorated for Valentines which to me was cute and not overdone at all. After being seated we were immediately greeted by our server who although seeming busy, was attentive. We had no idea what to get at the moment so he had water and bread brought to us and gave us time. In what seemed like a perfect amount of time, our server returned and took our order. The combination appetizer, fettuccine pescatore, pollo Maria Rosa, raspberry lemonade and a Sangria-Rita. Now I will admit that the salads came before the appetizer however we actually preferred that. The food was delicious and we were checked on by not only our server but by someone who seemed to be a manager. The manager person was extremely professional, I did love that our name (great business practice) was spoken when checked on. That type of personalization is what sets a lot of great places and experiences such as this was from a standard or poor experience. Another manager person also very personable stopped by to check on us as we wrapped up our meal. We joked about the valentine gnome that was staring my husband down while he ate his meal. On vacation we were tired of fast food and casual grab and go stuff. Wanted to enjoy a sit down place but not to fancy that we couldn't go in our sight seeing, all day clothing. The hostess was welcoming and friendly. She asked our preference of table or booth and sat us in a great comfortable location. The wait staff was attentive but not annoying. Drinks and orders were taken quickly and thoughtfully. Bella was our waitress and she was patient as my 10yr old asked for specific changes with her pasta. She was helpful with suggestions and was accommodating on requests. Food came out promptly and was delicious! We all took home leftovers as we were stuffed from the salads and appetizers! We were starving when we got there and probably ordered way more than we needed. ‍ The only negative I would say, that we were looking for on the menu, was some type of flatbread or pizza. Overall a great meal on vacation. Will look for one closer to home for a change in our restaurant rotations. read more

You will always leave Carrabba's with a food baby, aka FULL. I love going on Monday's when they have their Amore Monday special. After 3 PM, you can pick your own 3-course meal from select options. I love how customizable you can make your dinner experience. You can choose either between appetizer or dessert, soup or salad, and then an entree from 3 different tiers. I ordered calamari, Mama Mandola's Sicilian chicken soup, and fettuccine weesie. The calamari was crispy and the fried layer wasn't too thick. The sicilian chicken soup was a better version of chicken noodle soup, but with more flavor and a good hint of spicy. The fettuccine weesie was delicious. The shrimp wasn't overcooked and the mushrooms were sauteed nicely. But unfortunately, the alfredo sauce did not settle well with my stomach that night. Then again, alfredo sauce is high in saturated fats. My sister got the sogno di cioccolata "chocolate dream", which looked amazing. I took a few bites since I was already full from my own 3-course meal. It was light and fluffy, but definitely on the sweeter side. Carrabba's also has complimentary bread. The bread is warm, crispy, fresh, and straight from the oven. They normally serve warm bread with olive oil and herbs in a dish, but ask for Carraba's butter on the side! You won't be disappointed. My family asked for both bread and butter refills, while we were waiting on the appetizers and soup to come. Customer service was pretty good. Don't have anything zealously positive or negative to say. Waiter came to refill waters a few times. I'm giving this place a 4-star since Carraba's is a restaurant chain and all my experiences at different locations have been consistent. read more

Carrabbas Sandwich Bistro expects a phone call for special requests. They chose to not allow special requests through the Door Dash and GrubHub apps. I ordered the Bruschette Chicken sandwich a couple of weeks ago through Door Dash. I gave it a bad review because the sandwich was ice cold. Austin, a Williamsburg store manager called me to let me know the sandwich is a cold entree. He offered a gift certificate which I declined since the dish was properly prepared. Austin said that many customers request this sandwich be hot. Today I was placing a Dior Dash order for the Bruschette Chicken sandwich. Carabbas Sandwich Bistro does not accept special requests through the app. When I called the store, the employee told me I must call for special requests. The menu should indicate this is a cold entree, most people would expect a hot entree as I did. The item should have an option for a hot sandwich - a little check box would work. Although Austin contacted me showing that Carabbas cares about customer experience, I will not order from this restaurant again. read more

We had the chicken Bryan and chicken pola rosa maria we ordered Prosecco, which was good but a little too bubbly for eating dinner. That was our fault though. The salads we ordered were delicious and the bread - chefs kiss. Perfect and delicious with the olive oil and slightly spicy Italian seasoning! Our entrees arrived hot and so delicious. After dinner, we decided on dessert. I had the tiramisu and my friend had the cheesecake. We shared it with each other. Cheesecake wasn't that great but the tiramisu - again - chefs kiss! This is tough because I happen to be a big fan of carrabas but this place was not good. The calamari were cooked well but the breading was so salty it was un-edible. My favorite soup, sausage and lentils hardly had any sausage or lentils. The bolagnese sauce had no meat in it and actually made my lady sick. SO, I have lived in Williamsburg for 10 years. I can walk to this restaurant from my home. My dad drove 10 hours and said let's do Carrabbas! So I gladly obliged. I've always had a pretty consistently good experience in many many years passed so was hoping for that. It seems that tables of 4+ definitely get more attention. I was worried instantly when the hostess had zero personality and seemed off put by us walking in the door. Our waitress was very sweet, but we could tell she was definitely busy and we felt the stress. Drinks took a bit but nothing crazy. We ordered one entree to share around 30 seconds after the table of 8 put in the their order next to us. About 50 minutes later (we checked based on when I received a call waiting on the drinks) the table of 8 was done eating their entrees and we had yet to receive or medium to medium rare steak. Once we got it it wasn't bleeding/ it was still breathing. It was purple. The broccoli was wayyy over seasoned and the pasta was ok? Looking? We were so tired at this point I just didn't even wanna eat and wait. Let me be clear tho- the waitress absolutely did her best with what she was dealt and the male manager (I wish I got his name) was extremely understanding and apologetic and asked to remove it from the bill. His management and customer service is exceptional. It just seems of though tables with a higher check get served first and the staff seemed tired. The hostess didn't even say goodnight when we left she just looked at us... it was... awkward? My friends have wanted to give this spot a try for happy hour, so maybe the bar is where we will change our minds? All I did was ask for chicken noodle soup, and I received spicy Italian soup. So I asked for a new soup. My son in law waited over 20 minutes to get ketchup. We asked 3 times politely for ketchup and never received it. My son in law went up to the manager, and asked her for ketchup. Manager, Austin Dellaposta, came to our table and offered us to-go containers, our bill, and asked us to leave our table. This could have all been avoided if Bella, the server, would have just brought out some ketchup. When she was asked to bring the ketchup, all she did was make up excuses as to why she could not bring out the ketchup. I will be contacting corporate because this is far from over. Austin Dellaposta was the most mean restaurant manager I have ever met in my life. He even mentioned calling the police on us if we did not pay our bill immediately and leave. read more
