Stopped here on a lark as we needed some dinner between our afternoon and evening events. The place is sizable and there's plenty of seating. All the staff were fun and friendly. The food was great. My burger was cooked to order and had great flavor. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their burgers as well. My picky son said the chicken tenders were "top two" for him, which is quite a statement. Lackluster is about as good as I can say. I'll start at the interaction at the register. The young guy never once looked up to greet or welcome us. Thinking back, I believe that after an awkward silence, I just started giving my order. As I was speaking, another customer interrupted and asked for their water glasses. I can only assume because this guy forgot to give them the glasses when water was ordered. The register guy proceeded to roll his eyes in response to the question. I then resumed my order. We paid, and sat at the table. I went to the bar to order a couple of drinks. Two bartenders were present. One of the two was obviously very new to the job. She struggled to make simple drinks and moved behind the bar very slowly. The other bartender however was fast and efficient, but couldn't do the work of two people. It took 12 minutes to get 2 draft beers. The bar seats were 3/4 full. Busy, but not overwhelming if both bartenders had been working efficiently. I returned to the table, and went to the restroom to wash my hands. The sink had no hot water and no hand towels. No blower either. When I returned, our food was at the table minus the truffle fries I had ordered. At first I assumed that they would be coming with them shortly. A week later, I still haven't received them. I finally flagged down a food runner who said they would check on them. 8-10 minutes later, she returned asking if I had received them. I said no. She did offer to get them right now or remove them from my check. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to wait, so neither of those things happened. This was a disappointing experience. My burger was good, not great. If it weren't for the under trained, and what seemed to be an unhappy front of house staff, I might consider it again. I got the Wagyu Smash which has double Wagyu smash patties w/ american cheese, shaved onions, pickled jalapenos and HD secret sauce. I also ordered the sweet potato fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was good. The bun held up well, was soft, and the toppings combined well. However the patties were on the salty side. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I can remember having and the chocolate shake was pretty good. The cashier was friendly and my order came out quickly. I would recommend the visit and will be returning to try some of their other burger combinations. The location has a bar, high table seating, and is moderately noisy. Stopped in after work and grabbed food at the bar that has high top seating and cute little vibe. The fries come in a metal bowl and are plentiful. I had the queso fries and they were good, but the Parmesan Brussels were the best I've had. I also had a veggie burger with avocado and a fried egg they did not miss. They offer indoor and outside seating if you sit inside you order and put your number on the table but at the bar it's full service. A "95 Health Score" is often a good start. This is like the 3rd iteration at this location of a burger joint. Hopdoddy was a Grub Burger and something else that escapes my mind at this time, prior to being Hopdoddy. My burger was good (A bit dry), but definitely still good. The service at the register and at the table was up to par, but at the bar not so much. Each iteration of burger joint at this location has gotten progressively worse (Less options and less enjoyable), but more expensive over the years, so this was probably my last visit, but if you're looking for a decent "gourmet" burger in the area, you could stop by yourself, give it a spin and see what you think... read more

I ordered the wagyu smash burger with everything. My boyfriend had the veggie burger and we shared the Parmesan truffle fries. Everything was delicious especially my burger. Had a pretty big group but didnt have any issues. No trouble with parking. You order at the front right when you get in and then seat yourself. We were able to grab a long table with no problems. I ordered the Cadillac Waygu Burger and the Crispy Brussel Leaves. Both were delicious but I loved the Crispy Brussel Leaves. I also had a bite of the Ahi Tuna burger and that was also very good. Now while this all from when I visited this location this also influenced by visit of the other location. Upfront-I'll pass. It gives a vibe of shake shack with a millennial spin (if possible) that allows you to sit and eat. Granted nothing inherently wrong with this. But the point is to say, it's hipster. Like stereotype levels. Now the people in this location (and what I remember of the other) is absolutely the sweetest. They try there best to be helpful and they also are as they cover up front are you staying or going. If you're staying telling you where you can sit and bringing the food to you. It marries the fast food and dine in bar experience most frustrating fast foods can't really capture. They did fail in not having my beer I ordered or juice for my son and having us ask 3 times about the juice alone. Plus I spent $75 plus dollars for my family of 5 and there burgers didn't even come with fries which was not clarified when I ordered some for myself. But the food is just not worth the price. The fries are good but a regular which could be shared by two felt like "who two?" Now don't get me wrong I get the fascination of the burgers but again...just not sold considering the cost. The salad was good without the dressing. But my son hated his Nashville chicken sandwich- said it was oily. My other son hated his classic. Didn't like their mayo. My husband said his he also got a burger and said it was aight". I tried it and it was indeed aight. Absolutely nothing about this experience made me want to return. I lie. Hopdoddy is always a good time! Its looked in the heart of the Cumberland shopping area about a mile from the mall. Lots of parking. When you enter, you place your order first and then you are given a beverage cup if you ordered one and headed to your destination table. There is a card on the table that shows where your food is bought to you. I ordered the Brazilian Wagyu Topped with a 1/2 lb Wagyu patty, grilled panela cheese, chimichurri red pepper salsa & garlic mayo, all on a garlic herb bun $15.50 and an order of fries. The "bar" restaurant is a cool vibe. Near the bar are tvs and a full bar. It was not too crowded. Went with a root beer to drink! I had the classic burger farm style on the second day and that was awesome as well. The parm truffle fries were also good, I don't know what sauce came with them but it was delicious. My two wonderful friends have recommended this restaurant for quite awhile. I went this evening and had the shroom burger. It was an ample amount of food and a very delicious dish. A very large bar, full bar, really cool bartender. If you wanted to go and just watch TV, you probably could. They had a very large TV at the bar for you so that is a consideration. Now it wasn't like a sports bar where you have 20 TVs, but the bar area was a very nice size so you shouldn't have any issues getting a drink and a seat. You come in and you order and then they bring it to your table. You get a number and they bring the food to you so don't expect any wait staff to come and take your order. You have to stand in the front and order there, so be aware if there's a line of people, it may take some time. But that could work on your favorite because now you have time to look at the menu! It's in a parking lot of a strip mall so parking is free. We know how areas are on Atlanta can have paid parking so having free parking is good. They are in the same plaza as a bunch of other stores and a strip mall setting so everything is free. Truffle brussel sprouts - The brussel sprouts I probably would not get again. So usually when people have brussel sprouts, they have the leaves but they have the whole sprouts themselves that are cooked whether they are fried or seared or baked or whatever they're going to do with them. These it felt like they just shredded the brussel sprouts up so you basically got like salad leaves. That's not what I envision when I saw that. You can imagine having thin leaves like brussel sprouts being hard to stick with your fork, so that part really wasn't too great and I would not order those again. Truffle fries - The fries are pretty good. They were cooked really well, they came out a little cold though and that really wasn't the end of the world, but I feel like something fried should definitely be enjoyed right out the gate hot. But with that they had a pretty good flavor. Nashville hot tenders - The Nashville tenders were good, but they were different. Now the tenders if you speak of national chicken, you expected to be tossed. These weren't tossed, more so they were seasoned with the Nashville hot seasoning. So some parts you would get a bite of good seasoning and some parts you would not. But, when you did bite into the seasoning, it was really good. It didn't necessarily need any sauce to it or whatever, they were good on their own because of seasoning was so good. It's just unusual to see him not be tossed in the sauce itself. Cadillac waygu - The burger that I got was good. It was cooked very well, moist and juicy and had a lot of flavor. I would definitely get it again! Final foul - This was pretty good, it was a chicken sandwich for the burger of the month. Got a little bit messy, but nothing wrong with that. It had a kick and a flavor to it that I could appreciate. It was not better than the burger, but it had a really good taste. Overall, I would go back. Joshua and I had a date-night here before we went shopping for some customer Christmas gifts. I believe when I lived in HB I used to eat here when I would go to Fashion Island to shop. This location was set up a little different. Prob. changed after covid. No waitresses and you order and sit down at a numbered table. We each chose different burgers, but shared a bowl of sweet potato fries. Joshua loves ice cream so of course he chose a shake to drink. Oh and we came during Happy Hour so I order one of their Adult drinks that were 1/2 off. Must have forgotten to take a pic of that. Overall it was a good experience. Not too crowded for a week night. Came for dinner on a weekend and the place was pretty busy. You place your order at the counter, get a number and someone brings out your food. The service was lacking a little but I feel like that's understand for a non traditional sit down and order restaurant. I got the Nashville hot tenders and although the portion was pretty good, the tenders were not spicy or saucy at all, it honestly just tasted like fried chicken mixed with some seasoning. I will keep this short, just not sweet. 1.Service 2.5/10 - our sides came before our meal and we were super confused. Not to mention, 3 ppl eating and we were not given the decency of plates. Did they expect us all to dig our hands in the fries and Brussel sprouts. My beer however was served in a margarita glass. WTF! When I am ready for a cold one, I prefer it not be served in a margarita glass. 5. Wait 8/10 the food came pretty quick, wish it all came out at once. I will not be coming back here. You get 1 chance at a 1st impression and they lost me at this visit. This is a nice burger place that's a mix of fast food and restaurant style food. The burger selections are different then most but were tasty. I bought their bean burger. The bean burger was very good, not topped with what I'd normally get so it was a new combination for me. It was very filling and the fries added with it were a good comb. I shared sweet potato fries with my friend. I don't remember what she got but she didn't finish hers, it was full of flavor . We didn't get out food right away and it unfortunately seemed as if it was forgotten. Others after us received their food and when we asked how much longer on our we received it right away. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the full service bar. The bartender/waiter was attentive and helpful with making recommendations. I started with the strawberry frozen margarita and it was really great. The straw I had was too small at first but he saw me struggling and gave me a larger straw to enjoy the margarita. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is everything that you need in a sandwich. It was so juicy, tasty, and hot (in temperature, not really in spice) and I loved it! The fries were fine. I decided to head to HopDoddy for a quick snack. I ordered on the app, but arrived early before they started making my meal. I informed the cashier that I would be dining in so that I could receive the meal on a plate. I was puzzled when she brought me the food in a to go box even after my request. I asked about it and she said that she decided to bring it out in a box any way. They forgot my drink and I had to go to the bar to request it. Attended their community day soft opening today. When we entered we received information about Hopdoddy, the company, and the ingredients that they use. We were allowed to each choose an entree of our choice and our group of three were able to also choose two shareable fries and a shake for the table. We chose the the Parmesan truffle fries , & the hand cut fries. Both came quickly, were large servings, and both were hot and delicious. For entrees we had the Classic burger, Double Bacon Jam, and the Ahi Tuna. Unfortunately the Classic & the Double Bacon Jam we're so salty they were inedible. The Ahi Tuna was also quite salty, but not to the same extreme. Hubby said the Ahi was very fresh and he enjoyed it, but the salt built up as he neared the end. Daughter and I can't comment on the quality of our burgers as we couldn't get past one bite. For the shake, we ordered an Oreo shake which was quite delicious. We also purchased an additional vanilla shake which my daughter didn't care for as she said it had a weird aftertaste. All the food came out pretty quickly especially as they were still in their training days, and it all was hot and looked good, but they need to work on the seasoning. I spoke with one of the staff people and it seems that we weren't the first to make similar comments about the salt. The restaurant itself was attractive and clean with plenty of seating, both booths and tables. There is a nice bar area and happy hour M-F from 3-6. The staff was working hard and training seems to be going well as orders were accurate, staff was happy and pleasant and everyone we spoke with said they enjoyed working at Hopdoddy. A few other little issues, they are a cashless restaurant, but they had no way to turn their touchscreens around for customers to add a tip or to sign the receipt. Maybe their system wasn't 100% up and running as this was a free event and I just happened to purchase something?? So far, staff is doing great, they need to get their seasoning on point. read more

My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday night. The place wasn't busy but had a slow steady stream of what looked like mostly delivery pickups and to go orders. We sat at the empty bar to order our food and drinks instead of the order window. We sat there for about 5 minutes when a guy came behind the bar in a hoodie with big over the ear headphones on and started messing with the shake machine. After a couple more minutes my husband and I asked if there was a bartender working and the kid said "He's standing right in front of you!" To which I replied "Oh, well he hasn't said anything to us, he's not wearing a Hobdoddy shirt, and he's got headphones on so..." and the kid says "He's just making shakes right now. He'll be with you." We sat there for another couple of minutes noticing how dirty the bar was and decided to leave. And I love that unlike some other burger places, they offer more than the impossible or beyond burger for vegetarians which I can't stomach. First off, our take out order was missing the extra patty on the one burger (that we paid extra for) and our fries were cold. When my husband tried calling to see if they could remake it or refund it, it took several attempts at calling for anyone to pick up. When someone finally picked up, the woman asked my husband "what he wanted done about it" and offered no apology, she clearly didn't care at all. Then she said she'd have to speak to a manager and put him on hold. My husband waited a couple minutes and then started to drive back to the restaurant. The woman never came back to the phone in the amount of time it took him to drive back. Meanwhile, the rest of our meal got cold while they remade his burger. Then he got home with the remade burger and the onion slab was missing and it wasn't cooked correctly, there was no pink it!!Unbelievable! He didn't want to go back again and wait on them to make it a third time. We usually love Hopdoddy, but our recent visit to the bar left us disappointed. We came specifically for the margarita deal they were advertising, not realizing it only applied to frozen margaritas. The bartender didn't introduce himself or explain the promotion--he simply handed us menus and asked if we wanted our margaritas on the rocks or frozen. Since he gave us the choice, we naturally assumed both options were part of the deal. We ended up ordering six drinks, only to find out later that only the frozen ones were half off. Had the bartender clarified this from the start, we absolutely would've gone with the frozen option. That small bit of communication would've saved us around $30--which we had intended to use as a tip. The food was decent (as it usually is), though the fries were a bit overcooked. We don't like leaving without tipping, but this situation felt avoidable and left a bad taste. We hope the staff can be more upfront in the future, especially when it comes to promotions. Things I like about this place are the menu options. I like that you can turn a burger into a hearty salad bowl. Their current gluten-free bun is FIRE! Whomever came up with this formulation is on point -- whole grain-filled and lightly toasted, and holds up to the hand grip a burger requires. Don't change a thing about the beautiful gf buns - perfect! The staff are also polite and friendly. Where the food fell short is in the over-salting of sandwich ingredients. I had a Bandito this time and the patty seemed to be well-seasoned, which was fine. But in addition to this, the aioli was way TOO SALTY. Chefs, please assess how much salt is going into each component of the sandwich so there's overall balance. Not every ingredient needs to be salted. If a sauce is salted, then maybe the patty shouldn't be, or vice versa, or just pull back on the amount of salt in the sauce. Overall, I like the hopdoddy chain and I'm willing to try them again, but hopefully the seasoning will be normal. read more

I don't like to write negative reviews, but I also don't like to be dishonest. This place is total trash and unnecessary. Please do yourself a favor and save a ton of money by going elsewhere. First of all burgers are not served with fries or any side - yet are about $15. Second, I had the ahi tuna and it was completely disgusting. Very salty, horrible searing. I don't think sushi grade tuna is made to be in a patty. It was covered in a sauce, just bad. I had a bowl on a bed of brussels. I sware it was 3 brussels and tons of fallen off brussel leaves. Very burnt. with diced onion and tomato thrown on top. I ended up tossing half this $20+ dish. read more
