Hopdoddy was a great refuel after a day of sports. I got the doddy melt as a bowl for an extra like $2 (two smashed patties, Swiss and American cheeses, caramelized onions, mayo & Comeback sauce on grilled rye bread). I really appreciate the cashiers who were working when I came in that actually gave helpful advice and recommendations about the menu. The wagyu smash was out of order/ran out when I came, and I didn't know what to get. I heard the grilled rye bread wasn't the greatest, probably because it's dry and thick as a burger. But the doddy melt as a bowl was good because it didn't have the bread and it was mixable with the ingredients and sauce. It's quite literally a salad with two patties, the original toppings, and sauce. The comeback sauce was p good, not sure what's in it but it helped combine everything. I've had HopDoddy before, so I decided to have dinner at this establishment. Here's my experience: Food 3/5 - I ordered the Wagu burger with regular fries. The Wagu burger was amazing! Ingredients were fresh, and the bun was lightly toasted and soft. I was enjoying my meal, until the fries came out... wah, wah, waaaah. It looked like a bunch of old, broken, string fry pcs that barely filled half the bowl; as if someone ate some. ‍ Burger itself was 5/5. Service 3.5/5 - I sat at the bar and was quickly served by the Bartender, who was attentive the entire time. She checked on me every 10-15 minutes which I appreciated. This would have been 5/5, but the food server had remarks to say after delivering my fries. She definitely matched the Fry energy . Ambiance 4.5/5 - Great location just off the Main Street, and close to plenty parking. I enjoyed the bar space, but they also have seating for dinning. Bartender was amazing . Not much service to comment on, I ordered a regular burger ($10) with fries ($4-5) and a mini oreo milkshake ($4.50) while my boyfriend got a Nashville hot chicken sandwhich for ($11). He said it was a 4/10 while mine was a 2/10. It seems like they only put effort into the patty and the bun, which is buttered. My lettuce and onions were very sad and the burger was overall sweet which I did not like. The fries were okay but they were small and the amount definitely not worth $5. Now my milkshake, pathetic. I knew i got a small and maybe this is kids sized but $5 for a tiny little thing of Warm heavy cream????? As a sugar addict I am deeply offended. I had the Nashville hot without pickles. It's excellent!!! My only complaint is it isn't hot. It was temperature hot from just being cooled, but the sauce had no heat. The flavor made up for the lack of heat. The ambiance is loud and modern. It's hard to have a conversation with the music so loud. There is no service. You pay at the register. They ask for a tip. This is a great spot in Sandy Springs. If you'd like to get a burger it's a quick pop in and out. They're friendly and fast I've been twice and they've never gotten my order wrong. They're pretty efficient. There is a lot of seating on the inside and they have good lighting. It's pretty spacious. The website is really nice but the store is not. Went for happy hour, just one item on the list! Sliders were greasy, the buns were burnt and soggy. Ordered a Tito's matinee from the "full bar" but they don't carry olives.... Brussel sprouts were a nice idea but salted to the point of no flavor... dipping sauce was nice. There's parking in the deck next door and it's fast casual so you order first at the counter. My friend and I each got a classic burger with cheddar and split the Parmesan truffle fries. We came here for a late snack at 9 pm last night. Except for the menu, this place looks just like the old Grub Burger Bar that the owners of HopDoddy Burger Bar bought out. Hopdoddy Burger Bar is on the street level of a residential/retail mixed use complex. There is a big free parking deck inside the building right behind the businesses. Hopdoddy Burger Bar has a simple process for ordering food onsite. Customers line up at the order counter to place their order. After paying, the employee at the register tells the customer which table to sit at and gives them a cup for them to self serve themselves at the beverage dispenser. The customer then finds the assigned table and sits there until the food is delivered to the table. Honestly, I think assigning customers their table is an awful idea. Like most other people, I have preferences for table location, and I'd like to have some control over where I sit. R and I both checked into Hopdoddy Burger Bar on Yelp last night and were glad to see a check in special - a Classic Burger for $4.04 each. Nice!!!!! Since we were there for a quick snack, we took advantage of this Yelp special and ordered one each, then sat at our assigned table. No, I would not have picked this table due to there being other less crowded areas in the restaurant. There are many more burgers to choose from, including vegan, chicken, fries, salads and other menu items that will probably satisfy most customers. The majority of tables were high top, in booths or with tall stools at them. I saw customers sitting at the bar, which has boozy drinks, wine and beer. There is ample lighting, and the noise level was pretty loud, which was not surprising since there was a large group of a few families having a gathering in a section near us. Out in front of the restaurant is a big outdoor patio. TV monitors tuned to sports channels are spread throughout the indoor and outdoor dining areas. About 10 minutes after we ordered, a server brought our burgers to the table. I'm glad that he took a second to let us know what toppings were in each burger. This was helpful, since our burgers looked similar from the outside. I liked the slight crunchiness of the toasted brioche bun, but the bread itself was dried out. The beef burger was flavorful and juicy and would have been great with a lettuce wrap instead of the bun. Overall, a good dining experience mostly because of the special price. read more

I was very excited to try out hot daddy burgers. I've always heard how good they are. Me and a friend went in the evening time around seven-ish. It wasn't crowded inside. I was trying to make a decision on what I want it because I ended up having a free burger coupon from a festival that I went to. I asked the guy working at the registry for recommendations and he suggested the Cadillac burger. I was originally going between that and the double bacon jam. My friend arrivals got the Cadillac burger and when they brought it to the table it looks very small compared to the picture. Upon us looking more into it we know they said it was missing the crispy onions that they called for. So we will head to take our burgers back up to the front and he took them and added the crispy onions to them. They also delivered our truffle fries and brussels sprouts. Once we look at the brussels sprouts, they look very very crispy and then when we tasted them they were pretty close to being burnt. Because it's just the leaves of the brussels sprouts. I think they cook very fast so we took them back up to the counter to tell them that these were burnt. He was really nice about getting us another order. They even said they cook them for 10 seconds less than what they normally would because I could see that they were fairly burnt. Once they brought us the second batch, they were still pretty crispy, but they were more edible then the first batch. and then when I got a straw to drink my water, wondering why I couldn't get any drink to come out of my straw and one end of it was defective and was still together. There's nothing that they can really do about that. That's a manufacturing thing. But it just seems like everything this night was going wrong in this restaurant. His restaurant is in a really nice spot. It's not too big lots of tables to choose from and they have a bar area. I just was not happy with the taste of my burger and the brussels sprouts. It's nice to have a really good burger! I dined in, being greeted happily by several staff, even before placing my order. Once I placed the order, I chose a high-sitting booth - pretty neat. Soon after, the order came out quickly, considering the crowd / amt of business. Before digging in, I decided to grab some of the Chipotle ketchup - VERY NICE KICK! And the burger was thick and very juicy, with decently thick tomatoes - YAY!! Very good all-around burger. For beverages, the typical selections are offered, but I love that they carry Stubborn soda. We each got the classic burger with cheddar and we shared the Parmesan truffle fries. First of all, the Parmesan truffle fries are so big and a great shareable side!! They were stunning! They came with a delicious aioli (could have used more) and they were COVERED in Parmesan. Not to mention they were thin and crispy my favorite! The burger was also delicious and a great size! I really enjoyed this place! I thought it was a well priced burger joint which is hard to fjnd these days! This used to be grub burger bar which I really used to love. However, this is hopdoddy burger bar now and this place is a great quick go to for me. I have two favorites: The Llano Poblano & the Nashville Hot Original Chicken Sandwich. Listen let me tell you, I'm not even someone that goes and orders a chicken sandwich normally but I wanted something different one day and omggggg! I couldn't believe it. Big greedy ate the whole thing right then. For the burger I typically do the Llano Poblano but there are other good burgers. I normally do the parm truffle fries with whatever I get. These are on two different days, but now I can't stop ordering the chicken sandwich, when I go now there's a battle of the burger or the chicken sandwich for me. I didn't know what to expect and was pleased for clear signage. You place your order to the right. There was no line when we arrived, so I was able to take my time to review the options. The shake machine was down so we didn't get to try that. It was a downer because that was one of the things we were hoping to get. I came to this burger joint as part of the Yelp "What's the 404?" event. There is a large parking lot next door as well as garage parking underneath which I did not get to see if it was free however. Part of the event is getting a classic burger for $4.04 plus taxes. There were lots of sauces offered by the fountain drinks including chipotle ketchup, caffienated BBQ, honey mustard, mayonnaise, and regular ketchup of course. My favorite had to be the BBQ sauce but may have liked the mustard better if it wasn't so watery (may diluted by something?). The patty was juicy and had a nice sear on it. The lettuce, tomato and onion were fresh and perfect compliments. My only thing is that I requested it to be medium in which I found it more on the medium well side.
