Tried the hummus with their pita bread and did not work too well for my dairy allergy (I suspect they have butter on the bread). Their pork is great but has a lot of oil, so I'd recommend grabbing a napkin and dabbing it before digging in. Service is okay, staff were friendly for the most part. My first visit here was in 2021, I found this on yelps top 100 list of places to eat in the United States and it was number three. At that time I would've given my experience five stars no doubt. It was a little bit off this time. First of all, it was so cold in there that my food was hot when it arrived. I took literally one minute to take a photo of my food and by the time I started eating it, it was already getting cold. I got the one protein plate and of course went for the smoked and grilled wings because I had been dreaming about them since 2021. They were still very tasty and I love the variety of sauces that get served with it. My favorite was the cilantro sauce, but the lemon pepper was really good too. The brussell sprouts flavor was good but they seemed old though, like they had sat for a long time and then been reheated. Also, we got there at about 8:15 PM and they closed at 9pm. I had been traveling all day and this was the first place we went after leaving the airport. We ordered the craft sodas and were very excited about them but pretty much as soon as our food came out the gentleman from the counter informed us that they were closing down the soda machine. I was pretty annoyed because those sodas are close to $5 apiece and I was hoping to try a couple flavors. I get that they wanna get out of there, but we were paying customers. If they were gonna close the soda machine as soon as they got our food, they should've told us that when we were ordering. read more

The food was excellent. I had pulled pork, butternut squash and a side salad. Firstly, I'm no much of a bread person, but they serve pita with their "plates". It's the best pita I've ever put in my mouth. The flavor was glorious albeit with a little sweetness to it. The butternut squash and kale had a little smoke to it. They were cooked perfectly. The BBQ was amazing, but what pushed it over the edge to me was the spicy sauce. No spice, but the flavor was tremendous! They also serve craft soda fountain beverages. I'm always skeptical when I see this, but they were very good. I sampled a couple of flavors. The best way to describe the soda flavor is like coke, but not as sweet and with less carbonation. I prefer it to coke, but I'm not a coke kind of guy. I didn't give service a high score because there is none. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. They do ask you for a tip the lady at the register was very helpful and friendly. So I'm that regards the service was great. To me the atmosphere was very casual. Not a fan. Ordered the plate 2 with chicken, comes with rice and pita bread, pick 2 sides. I got the local fries for an extra $1.50 and a Caesar salad, $19. The local fries are okay but can't eat too much of them. The chicken I wasn't a fan of, big dry chunks. The sauces weren't tasty to me either (lemon garlic, cilantro) I love both flavors, but not from here. They also gave me 2 completely different sides and I didn't check before I left (rushing), so I had to go back. I was starving one Saturday and was looking for somewhere to eat in the Perimeter area that wasn't within the Perimeter Mall area. Local Expedition was the nearest location on Yelp that looked promising. Local Expedition's menu features a build-your-own meal, where diners select their protein (chicken breast, smoked pulled pork, grilled & smoked chicken wings, vegan falafel, portobello mushrooms), rice or garden salad, one or two sides, pita & sauces (Cilantro, Spicy BBQ, Sweet BBQ, and Lemon Garlic). There are also specialty sides and salads to add. I ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork, Caesar salad (in place of rice), and Veggie Curry. On a subsequent visit, I had the Chicken Wings with L.A. Street Corn, Mini Potstickers, with a fountain drink (who could pass up such a cool Stubborn Soda station). I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and flavor of the pulled pork and curry. The smoked chicken wings were pretty solid and were finished by my husband as soon as I got home. The corn is also worth the $1.00 upcharge for specialty sides. I personally like the Spicy BBQ and Lemon Garlic sauces with my meals. I appreciated having a fast-casual eatery with a variety of healthy, delicious options. We had trouble finding this restaurant, so we called for help. The first two calls were of no help, even though directions should have been fairly simple. Our third call was successful. Ordering without a human was challenging. Two staff members were oblivious to our attempts to speak. Eventually, another employee was able to help us. Our order arrived promptly and was correct. I ordered pork with a beet, kale, and quinoa salad. The salad was a very pleasant experience. My pita was fresh and warm. The side sounded healthy and turned out to be quite tasty also. So this establishment is in the shopping area. The shopping area has free parking in the back which is a parking structure. So you can either park there or you can actually park across the lot as well. Not sure why you would but just saying there's ample free parking available. Last time I went I ain't in. You go up to the register to give your order and they give you a number. Pretty straightforward. You can order on the kiosk but there's a sign on the kiosk that says if you want faster service just place your order at the register LOL. During lunch time it is full of a lot of hustle and bustle because of all the companies around and it's a very common lunch spot. So just time that appropriately and make sure you keep that in mind. They do have plenty of seating though. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating I notice doesn't necessarily have coverage eating or umbrella so the last time I went it was raining. So that probably wasn't the best time to go and try to sit outside. Caesar salad - The cedar salad itself was really good. It didn't need any extra protein, even though it would have been nice. But it is perfectly tossed and the dressing, could use some more croutons but everything was really good and super fresh. Chicken - The chicken was okay. I will try another protein next time but the chicken was pretty good. It actually was a little bit dry, but the sauces helped. Brussel sprouts - brussel sprouts were okay. They were crunchy and tender at the same time, just what you want out of a brussel sprout. Seasoned pretty well. Broccoli - the broccoli was broccoli. Nothing really major. They look like there was some type of seasoning on it but not that much. The sauces on the table carried that part. Chicken wings - The chicken wings were good but they were not as juicy as I would have liked. But at the same time they were wood fired and had a pretty good wood fire flavor to them. I didn't get anything on them, I didn't put any sauce on them, I ate them as is. To add chicken to the meal, whatever plate you get, it's like $7 or something along those lines so it's not terrible. All the plates came on a bed of rice. The rice was good, but of course there's so much on it that you really can't taste the rice by itself. And I treated it like a stir fry. And I mixed all the vegetables and proteins and sauces together. Pretty good. Overall I would probably go back because I'm in the area at least every of the week. The quality of the food is noticeable. My issue was the lack of flavor. The local fries were the best part of my meal excluding the ginger ale. This place has a lot more seating than the Alpharetta location, and I really liked the lighting and overall ambiance of the place. The parking was a breeze. There is a parking lot and a parking deck connected to the restaurant. They have paper menus with all of their options and the sides are listed on clipboards behind the register. I went with a plate of sides and chose the Local Fries, Brussel Sprouts and the LA corn. There was an up charge on the corn and fries but they were delicious! I also loved that it came with 2 pieces of pita bread. My friends and I got our food fairly quickly as well. If you are looking for a place with healthy options, I definitely recommend this place! The food category for this business is actually chicken wings, barbecue, and wraps to it's pretty precise. I had the chicken wrap with a side of roasted potatoes. To my disappointment, the side was extremely small. It's actually a mini side now that I'm looking at the menu again. If you're looking for the side menu, it is on the wall behind the cash registers. The wrap itself was the typical size. The hormone free chicken chunks were encompassed in a pita wrap. It contained lettuce, tomatoes, pickled onions, and hummus among other tidbits and dressings. I love that this restaurant is walking distance from my job b/c it's very clutch when you want something quick, light, and tasty. I usually do the to-go option, but there is indoor & outdoor seating (you seat yourself). They have a good selection of choices to choose from and everything I've tried is good. My favorite is the pulled pork with rice and broccoli. The pork is always tender and packed with so much flavor. The broccoli is always steamed to perfection and isn't too hard or too soft. The rice always has good flavor and I like to put some of the cilantro sauce over it. The meals come with your choice of sauce or all 4. I've dined in and gotten takeout from Local Expedition. We had a party of 3 on Friday, 1/28/22. The staff was very friendly. Service was super quick. You order at the counter, where you can also see the selection of sides and they bring it to your table within minutes. Their plate with 2 sides is $13.99. It comes with a choice of protein, rice or salad (they default to rice, unless you specify), 2 wedges of pita, and 4 sauces. Here's what I've tried: - Falafel: Only came with 5 falafel balls, and they weren't even that good. Wouldn't get this again. - Hormone-Free Chicken Breast: The chicken is delicious, especially with the Lemon Garlic sauce. Comes with a lot of chicken! I haven't been too impressed with the sides. They have a LOT, which I think is part of the problem. They should pick a few and get really good at those. Sides I've tried: - Fries didn't do well in takeout, so only get them if you're dining in. - Mac & Cheese was delicious!! - Sweet Potatoes weren't completely cooked, so they were a little hard. - Brussels Sprouts tasted good, but I wish they were crispy. - Maple Carrots felt boiled. We went here after visiting the little mermaid immersion experience. I was very excited to try this place as I've heard a lot about it because it is in the top 100 yelp restaurants. It certainly did not disappoint. One of the first things we noticed was just how clean the place is. The workers at the restaurant were moving constantly to make sure the restaurant was spotless. We also noticed that this restaurant received a 100 health score and that really put my mind at ease. The food was exceptional! I had the smoked/grilled wings and they were flavorful without any sauce. Although I do recommend trying the free sauces that they offer. I personally enjoyed the lemon garlic sauce. It was creamy and had a little bit of tang to it. The macaroni and cheese was fresh, cheesy and creamy, no complaints there. I can't say enough about the warm pita bread that they served. It was soft and buttery unlike any other pita I've tried. They also had a stubborn soda bar and our table enjoyed the hibiscus soda. If you go definitely try the grilled pineapple and ice cream it is reminiscent of a warm apple pie and ice cream. All the servers were helpful and answered all of our questions. read more

I've been invited in a couple times now as a food blogger, but I was craving those mini vegan potstickers so I stopped in recently to get my Local Expedition Wood Fired Grill FIX for a working lunch one day. Park for free in the covered parking deck behind the restaurant. Super convenient and the walkway inside the garage leads right to the restaurant entrance. Or you can park in the large shared private lot if you prefer to park outdoors? I picked up a one protein plate to munch on alongside my mini vegan potstickers. I was really feeling the pulled pork so I ordered that with two sides: the LA street corn and caramelized Brussels sprouts. And since I was feeling SUPER indecisive and starving (as I am currently again as I write up this review) I had to order the sweet potatoes with sesame seeds. Two of my favorite sides are definitely the LA street corn (off the cob) and the sweet potatoes with sesame seeds, hands down. The caramelized Brussels sprouts were a miss for me that day - I love when my sprouts are crispy (does that mean they're fried lol) but they were a little soggy and bland that day. The sides are always rotating based on availability and seasonality so be openminded if your fave isn't there - I always end up finding a new favorite side that way. Make sure to ask for some sauces to go with your protein plate! I like the house sauce and the spicy, mixed together. I don't believe they charge extra (but don't quote me on that). The ones I mentioned are what I recall but the menu has a huge selection! This place is also great for a Vegan. The veggies and chicken entrees are cooked to PERFECTION. They have a nice grilled taste and char. Next visit I'm going to try the pork as grilled pork is always good! Portions are also HUGE so keep that in mind. I didn't realize my food was sitting atop a bed of rice! Everything is done well, cooked perfectly and you can tell they differentiate themselves by simply doing things right but also making the food look as good as it taste! I was really glad I finally decided to stop in as I've passed them several times before! They have an abundance of beverages to choose from to include a brand of sodas called Stubborn. Local Expedition is great! We had a group of six hungry hikers and all left satisfied. My choice was the pulled pork, mac and cheese, and rice (probably some of the least healthy choices but knew we were having salad for dinner). Pulled pork was excellent with several choices of sauce (spicy BBQ was my fav), rice was good, mac and cheese was slightly overdone. All in all very satisfying. Several others had the veggie platter and were happy with them. "Stubborn sodas" are super good and root beer was the best. We got an order of french fries to share and they were one of the highlights! We sat outside on busy Peachtree Dunwoody road but the traffic noise was not so bad. Nice outdoor dining which we prefer during covid. Nice indoor dining too. Ordering is set up like a fast food place (but this is NOT unhealthy fast food), you go up to the counter, place your order with cashier, pay for it, get a number to place on your table, and they bring your food to you.
