We appreciated the promptness of measuring our kitchen and providing a quote. Unfortunately, after paying the first half as a down payment, there were delays in the shipment of materials that pushed the installment back 11 days. We felt that Marcus' communication during this time could have been better, particularly since it left us without a stove for over 2 weeks. The final product (pictured below) looked good overall, but we were disappointed in a couple of the decisions with quarter rounds that looked funky. Marcus did get someone out to fix it within 24 hours. The final charge wasn't what he initially quoted, but that was remedied with a few emails. Overall, Marcus' communication was not what we were hoping for, and we likely won't be going back to Floor Masters.

From small renovation to a $200M art museum - I will use them if at all humanly possible. They make magic happen with concrete in ways that are almost unfathomable. It sounds over the top but I am being completely serious when I say that I had several people gasp out loud and/or say "wow" or "holy ¥&@#" the first time they ever saw the concrete floors in my old house (which went from being Asbestos covered gnarly concrete to an absolute show stopper). J is a very hard worker and a straight shooter. His price breakdown was easy to understand and very reasonable. Now I have beautiful floors that will last for duration of my bar's life. He finished the floors with a clear coat that is very durable and easy to mop, but is not slick. I hired Greg to renovate a half bath that had a toilet that leaked, damaging the sub floor and…read morehardwoods in the hall. The first red flag was Greg's cartoonish quote for work. Greg is a smooth talker and made it seem like it would all be good. He said payment would be due upon completion although there was no mention of this in the "contract." Turns out "Remove vanity and install custom vanity" means ripping out the large existing vanity, sink, and huge mirror and then popping down the pedestal sink THAT I BOUGHT. Period. Red flag #2: When I asked Greg about the massive drywall damage, he said "Is it in the contract?" The agreement does say he does not cover drywall repair, but this was literally left in a demo state. On Day 2, while the entire floor was ripped up with the crawlspace exposed, Greg asked me for a check. I said I planned to pay him with a credit card and it would take me a few days to move money around to give him the equivalent of cash. Day 3 he walked off the job claiming non-payment. After I calmly explained that I could not be in non-payment because no payment was due, Greg came back the next day like nothing happened... All of the insulations under the half bath was wet so it had to go. Greg did not want anything to do with replacing it. I went out and bought insulation and installed it myself. Either Greg or his plumber, Drew, cracked the first sink basin during install. Luckily Home Depot replaced it with no questions and Drew came back and installed the new one. Drew was actually great. I did all of the leg work for the return, so don't expect Greg to actually stand by his work or take responsibility for mistakes. Greg made it clear he does not do hardwood floor repair and I was fine with that. Turns out, my hardwood flooring guy discovered that there was a strange strip of plywood sub floor installed to fill a gap that was not actually supported. We found out why when he pulled it up. See photos. Don't expect structural repairs to actually connect to other structural members. Don't expect your tile OR subfloor to be level or flat. Don't expect a professional job.

I contacted NHRC and Greg came out the next day for a consultation. He quoted me a price that I thought was very good for the entire bathroom remodel. Greg and his other worker were very efficient and even though we ran into a few issues (old plumbing and uneven walls), Greg was able to troubleshoot the issues and did a fantastic job with this renovation. As you can see from the photos, the bathroom turned out beautifully! I'm very happy with the results. Greg did such a great job. I will be contacting him for future renovations.
