I was excited to try this place. It's in a great area parking is in an issue. Service was great they had some games and the place is awesome for hanging out watching some sports with friends and they do have some activities/ games that you can do with friends. The food however isn't that impressive. Triple cook duck fat chips is a must try it's really good and tasty. As well as the potato truffle and leek soup is a must must! I ordered the double cut Berkshire pork chop however when it came out it was still pink inside which I believe it's not supposed to be with pork. So they did replace my pork chop with a new one however some parts of it weren't really tender the parts that were tender was okay. The manager and the staff they were really nice about it and they really took care of it and were on top of things. Happy eating!

We live in walking distance from Hopscotch, and decided that tonight- not too warm, not too cold- was perfect. We marched on down there and - on entry- no one greeted us. Two employees came from the kitchen- noticed we were there- but didn't greet us or acknowledge our existence. We started walking towards the bar, and the barkeep said we could sit wherever we wanted. Ok. We made our way to a very nice outdoor patio with a view of the water feature in Schaumburg Towne Square. Admittedly newer to the area, we enjoyed the views here. The waiter came out, took a beer order, and we ordered a Scotch Egg for an app, and we shared fish and chips and cottage pie. The Scotch Egg was spicier and saltier than expected - but we got 4 egg halves - nice. the fish and ships was huge (see the pic below) and the fish was super flaky. Awesome. The tartar sauce looked great but was a bit lacking in flavor. The Cottage Pie was - well- pretty ok. Typical english food- filling but not too flavorful. Still, it hit the spot! We noted our waiter was a bit hit or miss. When it came time to ask for the bill we had to wait for him to show up and request it - a bit disconcerting. The two point demerits were for the lack of acknowledgement on entry and the wait for the bill at the end of the meal. I want them to succeed- after all, they are in walking distance from our house! But they need to focus a bit more effort on customer service for sure

Hopscotch is a decent upscale bar in Schaumburg. We went there for the Family Birthday. Parking was not very clear as there is no dedicated parking. We ordered Warm Pretzels- too salty Scotch Egg - they were ok Cauliflower Tempura - It was Good Cheese curds - very good too Then in main course we ordered Fish and Chips - those who ate said it was good Grilled Naan - ok Grilled vegetables- not good at all Raclette & Cheddar Macaroni - was good Potato, Truffle, & Leek Soup - too rich Drinks Steeped Refresher - Was good Boddington's Beer - not good at all Royal Tea - good And for birthday dessert was on the house so we ordered Banoffee - it was good

This place has real promise, once they get their flow going and have a regular stream of customers, full menu items, and events. We tried Hopscotch on Memorial Day (Monday) and were pleased to find it wasn't yet too crowded for lunch. As other Yelpers shared, a couple of items we wanted to try, Hopscotch was out of. We finished our meal of cheese curds and fish n' chips and walked around with our drinks. The top level with outdoor patio is my favorite of the three levels, with great views and a relaxed vibe. I enjoyed my Mango Nirvana cocktail, a mix of tequila, mango liqueur, fresh mango, lime juice. The rim was a blend of sea salt and curry, or cumin for a unique aroma and taste. The fish n' chips were rather bland, but it is a good, shareable dish, with one big piece of fish. In my opinion, I expected it to have more flavor, after the uniquely spiced cocktail I had. Our server, Sam, was great. He was very helpful, funny, and checked on us often. I look forward to nights on the patio, especially during free concert nights. Prices are a little higher than other local spots for comparable, upscale brewery-like food. Limited parking nearby, due to shared lots with the Schaumburg library and other businesses.

Hopscotch Pub's opening has long been anticipated in the Historic Schaumburg Downtown. The restaurant's concept is a mixture of British Gastropub that offers plenty of entertainment. Downstairs, they have two golf simulators and game room. They have a large bar and dining area on the main floor as well as a nice outdoor patio. Upstairs there is even more seating plus an outdoor terrace. My husband and I visited mid-afternoon on a Saturday. Upon entry, we were told that the entire upstairs didn't open till dinner service at 5pm. We decided to sit on the main floor patio to enjoy the nice weather. We sadly saw multiple groups upstairs on the terrace dining so I'm not sure why they said it was closed. The food menu as a whole is very expensive. That have certain dishes that are offered daily as well as their all day menu. They do offer brunch earlier on weekends although we were given the main menu. For drinks, my husband ordered the Gin & Grapefruit Highball and I ordered a French Martini. Our server quickly cane back to let me know they didn't have the ingredients for a French Martini so I got a Cosmo. We soon found out that all of their Specialty Cocktails are prebatched which is disappointing at a $14 cost. The drinks themselves tasted good and were refreshing but not very spirit forward. My martini was also far from filling the glass. This spot has some good promise as they work through kinks and adapt to what the area needs. They would thrive having a happy hour as well as bottomless brunch options. They have a fun, party environment they need to lean into. For now, this felt like an alright spot that was simply overpriced.

A beautiful Sunday afternoon led us to Hopscotch to overlook the Schaumburg Towne Square fountain. We sat on the patio. The menu had great choices across British and Indian cuisine. We had grilled carrots for an appetizer. A great start when hungry. The prime rin and cottage pie did not disappoint. I love the generous portion of the beef. A bit more jus would be good for the worksheet pudding and meat. Potatoes a bit undergone, but good. Drinks generous, dessert menu led us to Sticky Toffee pudding. Waited a bit to be seated despite the available tables and waited a long bit for dessert. Overall a good experience. Hopefully they open early for Premier League futbol.

Enjoyed the ambiance of the place. Very big and nice outdoor seating options. Good service on a slow Saturday at noon. Food was ok. Burger wasn't that great, tasted a little off. Cheese curds were good. Fish sandwich had good flavor. Wish the menu had more variety.

We had about a 15 minute wait for a table but it gave us time to peruse the menu in the car. They offer many classic tiki cocktails, a page full of seasonal drinks, a page of "Designated Driver" mocktails (nice to have an option for something other than just a Shirley Temple!), Polynesian appetizers and entrees, and then Lola's Pizza. For drinks, I got the seasonal Gingerbread Painkiller and my husband got a Green Flash mocktail. (Pro tip on the seasonal drinks: check the regular cocktail menu to see how many skull and crossbones are listed under the regular version of your drink, if applicable, to see if it's a super strong one!) Mine was creamy and spicy but quite powerful. Props to our waitress, Makayla, who checked if anyone at the table was epileptic, because normally the "flash" part of my husband's drink is a strobing LED ice cube; I actually am photosensitive, so it came in the drink in non-strobe mode and just glowed an alien green. She said this was the first time it had actually paid off to ask, but I'm glad she did! The food was tasty: I ordered rumaki, an old-school appetizer of bacon-wrapped water chestnuts that you don't see very often these days, and he got loaded fries. We also got a small Lola's Pizza, which was very good, with a crisp but also chewy crust. The atmosphere here is pure tiki, with a fountain, swag lamps, bamboo, and Hawaiian-influenced Christmas music playing for the season. Lots of big groups here; everyone seemed to be having as good a time as we were! What a laid-back gem in Arlington Heights! We'll be back. Mahalo!

Well, this is about as close to doing so as you can easily get, because Tao opened NST, and this is his creation (in fact, I saw him there during my first visit!). Many of the other reviews cover the drinks really well, so there's little else to add. If you're there for "classic" cocktails, this isn't really the place (although, the foie gras old fashioned was super, sort of classic, but also unique). The point of the place is to drink flavors you've never tasted in a glass before. The BLT cocktail...literally tastes like an actual BLT (literally!)...except you're drinking it rather than chewing it. This place is so great, employees seem to really love their job. The only negative experience I've had there was related to a group of 10 or so who showed up, and this was clearly not their first stop of the evening. They were loud and already clearly buzzed, and just ordered Modelos. Not NST's fault, but I say this to say: if you come here, you should come to get completely immersed in this one-of-a-kind experience.

This is actually a lot more casual looking though. A lot of crazy concoctions. The bartender was competing on the Drink Masters show. Eclectic cocktails. Lots of variety. It's about $16 for a cocktail. Worth it for the flavor and presentation. Best we had of these was the Cool As A Cucumber. This was made with Planteray Coconut Rum along with cucumber syrup, lime, and Vita Coco coconut water. Also has a few selections of small bites. It's about $10 for appetizers such as Shiitake Potstickers. Actually pretty limited. The drinks are better than the food obviously. Got to say it's an experience. It's located on Orchard Street. They're closed on Mondays to Wednesdays.

This is not going to be cheap though. If you're gonna go to this place, expect not only excellent service but not your McDonald's prices. Saw a couple of the next table come in and order a hamburger and fries. Seriously? You come to this place for a burger and fries? (Lol). I'm sure the burger and fries was excellent, but this place is not known to be a burger joint, even though it's on the menu but again, to each his or her own. I wouldn't come here just to have a burger. There are many other places that do that. Step it up a little. Come here for a higher tier of food caliber. That being said: Our server was excellent. The manager along with the chef / the wine "professor"- (he was excellent as well- extremely knowledgeable, and paired our bottle of wine perfectly with all our meals) along with everyone else who came by to check on us. But our server was absolutely attentive and great. He wasn't pushy and he was very easy-going but very astute and had all the attention to detail. So hopefully we made his night when we came to the tip. (we weren't slouches, nope.). I wish I remembered his name, it wasn't a typical name, but he was outstanding. That being said, make sure that you pack away a couple "bones" when you see the check- also make sure that you tip your waiter for the outstanding job that they do. So don't skimp on that either. So again: It isn't cheap, but a place like this shouldn't be. We had a great experience overall- Also, this isn't your T-shirt and shorts type of place. You have to dress up. No schleps.. Capeesh?!!? leave your sandals at home. Which it should be. This is an experience, not your local In-N-Out Burger joint. Excellent and tasteful decor- excellent service highly highly highly recommend.

Since it was a special occasion, we finally had the opportunity to dine here, and I made our reservation through the Resy app. When we arrived, we were seated quickly. The first thing that really caught my attention was the atmosphere. The restaurant was converted from a church, and I absolutely love how they preserved the original character of the space. The high ceilings make the restaurant feel open and spacious, while the beautiful stained-glass windows add so much charm and personality. For appetizers, we started with the Shrimp Saganaki and Lobster Maki Roll. Of the two, the Shrimp Saganaki was our favorite. We enjoyed the presentation, flavor, and texture, which were all right up our alley. The Lobster Maki Roll was good, but in my opinion, the lobster-to-rice ratio was a little too heavy on the rice. For my entrée, I ordered the Brick Chicken, which was served as a chicken quarter leg. It was cooked perfectly--the skin was crispy, the meat was tender and juicy, and the garlic sauce complemented the chicken beautifully. For dessert, we ordered the Banana Sticky Toffee Pudding served with vanilla gelato. It was phenomenal and the perfect way to finish our dining experience. I also have to mention the service. Our server was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel comfortable throughout our first visit. The restaurant went above and beyond to make our anniversary even more memorable by surprising us with complimentary champagne and dessert with a sparkling candle. That thoughtful gesture truly made the evening special. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food were all a hit for us. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner and left with a great experience. All the tabletops feature copper tops with wood trim, and exposure to water and food over time has given each table a unique patina. We arrived right as they were switching over from the brunch menu to dinner, and the staff made us feel very welcome. What We Ordered: Smoked Brisket Reuben Eggrolls: We ordered these special eggrolls for the table. My friend has a shellfish allergy, and since many traditional eggrolls contain shrimp, he was excited to try these. He said they were the best eggrolls he's ever had (though he admitted he doesn't eat them often!). He paired it with a Guinness Zero non-alcoholic draught and was amazed by how close it tasted to the original. Fish Tacos ($19): Recommended by another reviewer, these come with three cornmeal-battered, fried Mahi-Mahi tacos topped with cilantro lime cream and fresh micro cilantro. They were crispy and very tasty. If you're usually sensitive to cilantro, you might still enjoy these--I mostly tasted a bright, lemony freshness rather than heavy cilantro. Sides (Broccoli Rabe & Asparagus): I substituted chips for a vegetable side. Due to a mix-up in the kitchen, I got to try the broccoli rabe first, though it turned out way too spicy for anyone at our table. My actual order was asparagus--my absolute favorite--but it was a bit disappointing, as the bottom half of each stalk was woody and fibrous. Fish & Chips ($21.50): My friend went with this traditional entry. At that price point, he was expecting three fillets, but he couldn't finish the two that were served and took some home. Overall, a solid entrée. Classic Breakfast ($15.50): My husband got this from the brunch menu. He was very pleased with the scrambled eggs, potatoes, thick-sliced bacon, and sausage links. Overall, a solid visit with great variety on the menu!
