Positives: giant pretzel was great, old fashioned was great. Negatives: Salmon was way overcooked and bland and the rice that came with it was crunchy and inedible. The burger patty had zero seasoning. Like none. My husband ended up taking it to-go and putting a little salt on it when we got home. The fried bologna sandwich tasted like smoked turkey and kraft singles. Our 15 year old who eats anything didn't like it. Service was not good. We never saw our waitress. Which is why she didn't notice that one of our orders didn't come out out until after the meal. We wanted to ask someone about it but we couldn't find a manager or a server who would give us the time of day. Usually poor service can be overlooked if the food is great. But you can't have bad food and bad service. This would be a place to sit at the bar and order drinks and appetizers- as that's the only thing that they did well. Note to management : We left her a good tip because she could have been completely swamped with too many tables...We will never know because we never saw her. This is total management failure. You can't let a server drown in the weeds with zero support and expect guests to get good service. read more

Unfortunately our server was new, and really in need of more training. The server did not acknowledge our table for 20 minutes. He took our orders, but never brought my bar order. The server brought my side of soup in the salad dressing bowl thinking I wanted it as dressing to my salad. The salad was missing ingredients that should have been included. He did not bring the condiments for the burgers so we had to wait while our food was getting cold. The Cobb salad was only so so, but the burgers were good. The server was polite but management really should have training their new staff more before leaving them on their own. Went because of the patio (you know, bc it's still a f---ing pandemic) and was told by the waitress they couldn't seat us there bc there wasn't staff. Seriously, you couldn't accommodate? Instead, she sat us in an area where literally every table was huddled. read more

Decided to try this restaurant based on positive reviews. The staff was super friendly, the location was clean and well designed. The food was very good-everyone was happy with their meals and especially the French fries and cheddar/jalapeño bread. The only suggestion I would make is to have more exciting healthier menu options...overall very positive experience. Thank you! read more

Fantastic food and drinks!! We've been here multiple times and the quality is very consistent! Burgers are fantastic, perfect blend of meats to create a quality burger. Like a classic NY pepperoni pizza their Horizon Burger won't let you down. Local beers on tap, mixed drinks *especially margaritas are great. No sour mix used here. Compare to other restaurants and you'll see the attention to detail is definitely there. It's easy to drive by, be sure and stop in!! read more

The food is great never had anything bad. The drinks though are consistently a disappointment. They never taste right I've gotten the wrong drink completely multiple times. This was our first time at Horizon 76. The staff were friendly and very informative. They explained to us how they got their name and the food is farm to table. My daughter got the wagyu burger, my husband ate the pot roast, and I got the chicken avocado sandwich. We also ordered the appetizers fried Mac n cheese. Everything tasted wonderful. Omg.. the chicken pot pie is my favorite. I didn't think I was a pot pie fan until I tried this. So delicious. Service is great and I love that the chef comes out to check on his guests. We just found this place last night and the food and service were outstanding! We had the filet chili and fried chicken pot pie and both were delicious! As an appetizer we had the deviled eggs which were also delicious! Maria was our waitress and she was wonderful! She was very informative and friendly and took great care of us! When I saw pictures of the chicken fried steak I knew I had to try this restaurant! Chicken fried steak is one of my favorite meals so I know a good one when I eat it and this place exceeded expectations! Believe it or not, the chicken fried steak is even bigger in person than it looks on pictures. I had a salad and vegetables for my sides and they were both delicious. My husband tried the macaroni and it was incredible as well! The drinks were also delicious. Staff was very nice and the chef even came around the restaurant to see how our meal turned out. This restaurant is a little pricey but for good reason, everything about this restaurant is of good quality. Check it out if you get the chance!! read more

Well....I've been passing this resturant for some time & told my wife we needed to give Horizon 76 a try. It's a Sunday & around 2:30pm, not many people there so we were seated fairly quickly. Our waitress arrived promptly & gave out menus & took our drink orders (just sodas). The least expensive appetizer was a loaf of baked bread for $7.00, so we started with that. Menu says it serves 2-3 people. It served 3 people a small 1" thick slice of bread. About the size of a McDonalds jr burger bun top. It tasted good, but many restaurants serve bread without a charge. I ordered the 12oz pork chop, my wife had the chicken fried steak & my son ordered the shrimp & rice. The initial overwhelming opinion is that someone in the kitchen is seriously heavy handed with the salt. My wife is a "salt" person & loves it, but even she said there was too much salt in her food. My pork chop was rather odd. 1. It didn't appear to look like a pork chop. 2. It was super tender, but it tasted like it had been soaked in some kind of salt brine solution for a long time. Every single bite was like eating rehydrated jerky. I even cut a slightly bigger bite, bit down & could taste saltwater being squeezed out. I could only describe it like trying to eat something while standing in the ocean at the beach and a wave hits you in the face & you taste the saltiness while trying to chew food. Was it utterly horrible? Not exactly, but I didn't eat it all. It cost $24.00, so I took my leftovers home & plan to chop it up & mix it with something unsalted to even it out. On the menu my dish was to come with grilled vegetables, I asked the waitress if I had to have those & she told me I could choose from the available sides. I chose a baked potato & later found on the bill that it cost me an extra $2.00. The waitress didn't tell me there was an up charge. That would have been nice to know. My wife's dish was a Chicken Fried Filet & the menu called it an "oversized breaded beef tenderloin". If there's any dish my wife & I know & understand....it's a chicken fried steak. We judge new restaurants on that dish alone. We both planned to get it, but I wanted to be different so we could share each dish with each other. This chicken fried tenderloin was NOT "oversized". It was actually small in comparison with Salt Grass Steakhouse & Cotton Patch. It was also over salted she said. My wife said the house ranch dressing tasted weird also & her side salad was field greens that tasted bitter. (Not uncommon). Had she known she would've asked for romaine lettuce. My son's shrimp & wild rice dish was fine according to him. It looked good also. Our server was ok, but seemed very stressed out. When I asked for a refill on my drink, she brought everyone at the table a new drink & took away my wife's drink that was still 75% full. Before leaving we asked for to-go cups because we had lots of our second drink left. She brought back 3 full to-go cups of our drinks. Rather wasteful I thought because we are leaving 80% full drinks on the table to be thrown away. When we asked for to-go boxes our waitress brought them, but was literally pulling my plate away as I was scraping my potatoes into the container. I thought "Woah there missy....still working here!" My wife made note that the young girl that was hostessing did not seem happy. Looked down & didn't smile much at all. Not a totally horrible experience by all means, but our bill was $103.00 (including tip (no alcoholic beverages)) and to be very honest, there are other places that do it better. Every business needs a "reason" to get customers to have a 1st time experience & then repeat business for years to come. Saltgrass Steakhouse & many others serve bread free of charge. 1. I thought $7.00 for three small slices of bread was expensive. Maybe Horizon 76 could charge $7.00 for "unlimited bread" (while at the resturant). 2. Our food was almost too salty to eat 3. Staff seemed stressed and/or not too happy to be there. Resturant work is hard....been there done that, but "customer experience" is paramount to repeat business. I read a few other reviews & while many are great...I've stopped reading those as I've seen first hand that companies now have family, friends, relatives, & others write 5 star reviews just to boost the stats. Very freaking annoying!!! Do I read the bad ones to get a better idea, while not totally discounting the good ones. I did read others about the saltiness & about staff morale. Many people love the bar, but our family doesn't drink. I do not need a call back, nor a refund or any resolution to my post. I just don't think I'll be back to Horizon 76. I can get the same or better elsewhere. Nothing really sets Horizon 76 apart for the non-drinker. read more

So many nearby restaurants have closed during the past few pandemic months. This one has not for good reason - it is outstanding! So many interesting choices, but I had to try the chicken pot pie at a friend's suggestion, and I am glad I did. It came with a salad, dressed with an unusual hot bacon dressing that was so good. Ordered take out. The food was average and the service was poor. The triple smash burger - patties/cheese were nice, if a little under for some folks. The burger is served with with lettuce/tomato/pickles/onions as you would expect - but dry? Not a mustard, not an aioli? Odd choice. Duck fries - maybe it was just that they sat, but for duck fat fries they absolutely were not crispy. These were seasoned aggressively, but soggy. Cobb salad - hard to mess up a salad. Macaroni side - the focus is more on the bacon than the macaroni. The beschamel seemed like an afterthought, in terms of proportion. Biggest gripe was the way they were operating. I placed my order for pickup over the phone (if you can do it online, I missed it). I arrived and parked in curbside pickup, which as someone with toddlers - I try to do whenever possible. I called to let them know I had arrived, and after 3 minutes I was hung up on. Called again, and waited a literal 10 minutes on hold before going inside (obviously defeating the point of the curbside pickup). Neither the 3 hostesses nor the person at the bar seemed to care at all about my experience. And, because of the wait, all of our food needed to be reheated before we ate. The All in all, I hope my experience is isolated, but am not likely to return. read more

We chose to check out H76 spur of the moment. We shared the bone in burger. It was good. Our sides were the salad and the duck fries. We will likely try the normal burger or alternate entree next time. Solid 4 stars from us. And liked that they sources their protein locally. read more
