Everything went welll with my concerns addressed and my car drove like a dream afterwards.

I paid 30$ for a tire patch, first off the technician couldn't even get the truck on the stands to lift it, second, I was told it was done, and my psi gauge was still on, told the owner of the problem and he said he couldn't reset it, blamed my wheel balancing, I leave and drive to the nearest gas station, and check the psi and they never put air in it. Because once I did my gauge turned off. Don't recommend this business AT ALL!! Worst service ever!!! read more

Been coming here for years, but the service is not the same. Left my car at 8:30AM, I had to call for an update at 1:00PM, they told me it would be done at 4PM, priority he said. Got there at 4:30PM, and they were still working on it! To say the least I was pissed! The guy tried to make excuses for not being done. I wasn't buying it. The truth is, they stuck my car in the back and tried to hurry before I got there. The usual guy Ed was not there, never had an issue when he was there. Not going back again. read more

I took my car Oct.25 to get my transmission fixed. Jack called me around 4ish to let me know it was the transmission and they found a used one. He said it would be done the following Saturday. That came and went and I had to call Tuesday(5th), to find out what was going on. I was then told it should be done by Wednesday or Thursday the latest. It was finally done Wednesday and picked up Thursday. When I got home I was inspecting my car and saw 2 indentations on both of my rockers. I had no damage there prior to Horizon. I called Jack to let him know and stopped by a few times throughout the month to talk to Jack and show him where the damage was. My last visit to Jack, he let me know that his guy would take 4 days to fix the damage.There was no offer to get me a rental car while the car would be fixed, so more money out of my pocket. I told him I had a mobile service that can fix it in 2 hours. To make a suggestion to give me complimentary oil changes that doesn't add up to the $475 it cost to to repair and to say it is small and not noticeable. Really, I had no damage to my car prior to Horizon having it. They also gave me back my car with oil smudges on the bumper, the rockers, my driver door, trunk, some smudges on my seats and scuff marks on my driver door panel. I told him that showed me how careless they were and Honda doesn't do that. If customers are priority and to make us happy,especially when the business has done wrong. Update to this is that Jack has refused to pay/reimburse me the $475 to fix the damaged Horizon caused to my property,after he kept saying how I wanted to get this taken care of.He is a snake oil salesman. The audacity of you, Jack to insinuate that the damage was done by the tow truck service or was there prior to Horizon is very insulting. You are trying to muddy the water and not take responsibility for your carelessness. .You are not committed to customers and I will not take my review down in order for you to fix the damage your facility has caused. I took my wife's pilot there before a trip to Yosemite and lake tahoe. During and after tge trip the car sounded slightly noisier. 6 months later at the next oil change with a different shop the mechanic showed me tge air filter was missing. When I told horizon they forgot to put my air filter back they denied it and told me it was impossible because the car wouldn't run without an air filter. Horizon, next time focus on the oil change and don't get distracted by trying to sell air filters and cabin filters. And maybe take responsibility when a customer points something out to you. read more

Originally I came here to have the distributor timing adjusted. The mechanic told me he's surprised I passed smog with the timing being off. Thought that was a little weird since it's been years and years that I've been getting this car smogged without any issues. Anyway, he tells me I need the timing belt adjusted since it is off a tooth. I guess I got suckered and coughed up the $500 to have them "readjust" my timing belt. I come back at the end of the next business day to find that the timing was still off and they put a whole new belt on there. Something I didn't agree to. I drive off and think, maybe it's for the better... wrong. I drive to work for the first time today thinking everything might be okay, and on the freeway, the ECU starts clicking and around the 2,800 rpm - 3,100 rpm range, the engine starts sputtering or having a hard time accelerating. I've dealt with enough shops to know that they will deny everything and make it out to be the customers fault, because well, shops are just that way no matter where you go. I guess why I'm making this review is that if you think something is wrong with your vehicle, get a few opinions first. I doubt Horizon Automotive will do anything about this issue. They didn't even test drive the vehicle after trying to adjust the timing on it or after replacing it. Also for timing belt adjustments, why would you need to mess with the ECU at all? Unless they fix this issue completely, which I doubt, my review will remain and I would suggest you to go anywhere else but here. read more

I had taken my 2008 Honda Accord to Horizon to give me an estimate. It has a lot of freeway miles (260,000+), but Norm Reeves Honda wanted too much to service it (it needed a lot of work). They wanted more than the car was worth. Horizon quoted me half that amount, so I had them do the work. It has been running great ever since. They saved me from having to buy another car. Horizon use to be a honest place to take your honda to be fixed. Two weeks ago I dropped my honda pilot and yes it needed a lot of work but after getting nothing but we need more time. Yesterday I told them I would be there today after noon to pick it up. I got there at 2pm and they had my suv in working on my car and it was not ready to go " they need another hour ". I am not pleased at all. A total waste of money and time. I want to thank Horizon for coming to my rescue on 03/12/2024. It was late evening, alone, parked near Sprouts when my vehicle started smoking - didn't know what to do. I called Horizon (mechanic for over 30 years - Civic & Pilot). Since it was after hours didn't think they would answer, but to my surprise, Amanda answered my desperate call. She arranged for someone to come to my location to check the issue. Shortly immediately after Jack and his son Daniel arrived and suggested that I drive my vehicle to the Shop to have it check in the morning - they followed right behind me to the Shop, secured my vehicle, and even gave me a ride home safely. 10/28/2017 - updating my review. I now brought my acura and sure enough, my new friend mechanic found out the same thing. Instead of genuine Honda parts, all made in China. My air filter wasn't even installed right. Just left open, he heard a sound in the compartment and sure found it not properly installed and made in China products. Did the oil change today and again and again, not Honda genuine parts, ALL MADE IN CHINA. Not doing this to ruin the business, but beware everyone. We drive our cars everyday, we take care of it so it takes care of us. Safety should always be considered and with what you're paying this Horizon shop, I don't think it's worth it. No love, passion and safety for the work that they do. I got fooled already, don't be the next one. I'll upload some more pictures. Thought I was saving coming to this shop. Just moved to a new place and went to a new shop for my van service. To my surprise, shop showed me what horizon uses. It's not genuine Honda parts. Just China products and looked to be recycled. Oil filter not even installed correctly, they are very loose and even recycled screws and washers too. What a shame. Been horizon fan for a long time and what an eye opener knowing they do these kind of things. Integrity and trust is really not cheap. Please please don't get fooled. read more

I used to come here for my oil changes and other work, never had a bad experience but I came here recently and they wanted to charge us $2,000 for minor work. I ended up going elsewhere and saved $1500 for the work, the girl had a bad attitude when asked for one thing insisted we get everything done and kept insisting if I didn't get it down now the car would be at risk of breaking down etc. Never again. When I finally agreed on one thing she had an attitude and I wasn't given a price for it until we told her we just one thing done for now. I had to come to the valley to get the work done with my mechanic whom was able to squeeze me into his schedule because of how urgent it was according to this place. Prices have gone up since I've been here and honestly I've heard things have changed since the last time I've been here. Just be careful and get other quotes. read more

This review has been long over due. So my boyfriend and his family have been coming here for awhile. My boyfriend has even gotten his taillight fixed for free. So the first time I went, I was surprised that my oil change cost more since my car is smaller than my bf's & I don't drive my car far. That day they recommended that I get my transmission fluids flushed. They quoted me 90, but I didn't have time to have it done that same day. I come back later, the price went up. Not only that but went I went to pick up my car MY WINDOW WAS LEFT COMPLETELY OPEN. There were oil stains all over my door. When I went back inside & told the guy, he claimed they just parked it& didn't even apologize. My car could have been easily broken into. I have been a loyal customer for close to 2 decades and the service has always been great.....until now. The last couple of times that I have gone the service has not been up to par with what they have done in the past. For instance, I got an oil change and they were supposed to check and top off all of my fluids. Barely two weeks later I needed to add some power steering and brake fluid to my car.....and No I did not have a leak. Just plain wear and tear. This is the type of thing that used to never be overlooked. Now its been a common thing. Also the follow through just has not been there. The front office staff was supposed to be on the look out for a repaired/rebuilt navigation system for my car. That was 18 months ago and I have never gotten a call about if they found one or not. I honestly hate to tell people to look else where but until the service gets back to where it used to be you might want to think about checking some other places. read more

To sum up the rest, they refused to let me have my old VTEC solenoid nor even show it to me. Regardless of the fact the the "replacement" solenoid looked old/used. Plus I had no more time to go back and forth with them....$1600 later. I had to take time out out of day fixing Elijah's mistakes myself! A couple days later my steering wheel stiffened up again. That leak that he swore wasn't there even though we were looking at the same fresh trail and puddle when I had it towed back to him, was in fact the power steering fluid, because he pinched an o-ring on one of the fittings on the power steering pump he installed and didn't torqued it down fully thus causing the leak and air to get back into the system! My transmission fluid was OVER filled, caused it to struggle shifting gears. He clearly didn't perform a validation test drive after servicing it, otherwise he should have easily caught this. And loose bolts on my solenoid as well and one connector was not fully seated and a terminal pin was bent yet thankfully not damaged beyond repair. Whether or not that tech Elijah is an apprentice still learning his way, which would have be fine by me had he owned up to his mistakes as we've all been there, or he's just purely negligent/careless is up for debate. I wish I never had a write a review like this to begin with. But the complete lack of accountability and disregard for their customer's property, let alone safety, is enough to never come back again. Do yourselves a favor and protect your vehicles...before they mess up enough to where you'll need to replace it. Do your research before trying ANY shop. read more

My boyfriend and I always come here for our oil changes. Every time is good. Yesterday when my oil was changed I found a huge oil shoe print on my car Matt. I told the manager he said he would clean it. Great I thought. So this other guy comes with degreaser and a dirty rag to clean the matt. He just spread the oil around. Called the shop back and told them the stain is still there and it smells like oil. The manager told me to come back so I did. As soon as I get there I wait . He gives me attitude and makes me feel as it's my fault. I leave my Matt with him so he can clean it and he can't give me a time to pick it up. Mind you that I spent 1 1/2 for my oil , it was my day off and now I have to go do run my errands quickly cause they close at 6:30 in order to get my car Matt. Please make sure that they put a paper for their shoes before they get in your car. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I've never taken the time to write a review but after my last experience at this "certified business" I will not be bring any of my cars here again as well as recommend this to anyone I know. I have brought many of my cars here for the past 2 years and have thought they were great and honest people who take responsibility for any damage that is done while being worked on. I brought my 2013 Honda Crosstour to get a valve cover gasket replaced, so they called me once done and told me that everything in the car is great and is all fixed up. I go home and notice smoke thinking maybe they spilled a little bit of oil and it's still burning on the outer metal so I let it be. When waking up in the morning I wake up to all my engine oil on my driveway and immediately called Jack the owner. As soon as he knew who he was speaking to he immediately tried to blame me saying I'm typing and don't know what I was talking about and testing me that there was no oil leaking and that it was impossible. I told him many times that I only drive the car home and I woke up to this and he kept telling me that I was trying to scam him. I asked if he could please get my car towed to his shop and take responsibility in the work he did on my car because it never had any issues like this before and he kept repeating him self saying that he already knows how I am and knows that I'm trying to get stuff out of him for free when all I was asking was to recheck work he has done. I eventually told him that I'd get my car towed there with my AAA miles and he kept trying to tell me things that were not necessary and acting like an unprofessional owner speaking to me like if it were my fault. If I said anything he would give me a smart answer or try to correct me even when it wasn't necessary. Once I TOWED MY CAR to his shop for his work his son took a look at it and immediately seen all the oil gone and said the valve gasket was defected. I understand that many mistakes happen we are all human and we make human errors but for an owner not to take responsibility and just take a look at his work before accusing me of scamming and giving me a hard time to get the car to his shop is just very unprofessional. I have been a customer for over 5 years and today they have officially lost my business. I took two cars to get basic oil changes on 9/28/17. My Corolla began leaking oil the following day and I was forced to take it back today to get it fixed. Was not once apologized to for the incovience. I asked to make sure they clean the oil that had sprayed all over the undercarriage and they said they did. They told me that the filter cap and been installed incorrectly and they ordered and replaced it with a new one. Brought the car home and inspected it myself. Was very upset when I found they did not clean the oil from under the car. And worst of all I checked the filter cap and it is not OEM! Says made in China right on it. Now I know they do not use OEM fluid but they claim they only use OEM parts! I even asked before service was performed. After inspecting my Corolla I checked on the second car I had taken. And AGAIN the oil filter installed on my FRS is a cheap made in China "parts plus" brand filter. They even over filled the oil in my engine by a good amount. About a inch above the full marker on the dipstick. I have been coming to this shop before they raised the prices and before they charged an additional $20 to check brakes and put air in your tires. A basic oil change used to include the works with topping off fluids, checking hoses and belts, and setting tire pressure. A basic service today literally only includes the oil and filter change. The service writer also did not call to inform me that my cars were ready. I had to call and ask if my cars were done and both times they were. Who knows how long they had just been sitting there. This shop is going down hill quick. They need to go back to the service they used to have. Back to the shop I used to trust. read more
