Dr. Guirguis is the best dentist I've ever had the privilege of knowing. She is kind, considerate and has an incredible sense of humor. Every time I'm there I notice how happy all her patients are. She's been my dentist for several years now and I've found her and her staff to be one of the most efficiently run offices I've ever seen. When I call, I get the receptionist and can get an appointment very quickly. If they're extremely busy they'll put me on the waitlist. And they always call me whenever there's a cancellation and get me in as soon as possible. I actually look forward to my appointments with Dr. Guirguis. Before coming to her, I never looked forward to seeing my dentist. All the dental hygienists that work for her are amazing. They're patient and extremely adept at their job. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A FEAR OF THE DENTIST OR ANY ANXIETY ABOUT PROCEDURES. I was scheduled with Miriam Guirguos for two wisdom teeth extractions. I have always had a lot of anxiety regarding any dental issues stemming from bad childhood experiences. This procedure was very hard to do for me, but I needed it. When she entered the room, I had tears in my eyes from nerves, and she said " do you even want to do this today?" In a very impatient, blunt way.. I said "I'm here and ready, I'm just nervous".. to which she responded "you can just leave if you want to"..... that put a sick feeling in my stomach. It's not an uncommon thing to be nervous about dental procedures, and the way she was talking to me seemed so rude and unsympathetic it was shocking. She then offered to reschedule and add sedation, but I really just needed to get it done then because I had been in pain for quite a while. Overall I felt like she was rude, unsympathetic and unprofessional. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if they have any anxiety about the dentist. read more

I have been going to Doctor G for over a year now and have been extremely happy. She really knows her stuff and not only takes care of my routine work but also cosmetic bonding. The dental hygienists are great as well and leave my teeth white and clean! The front staff there are very kind and helpful. The dental hygienist, Holly, is personable and instead of criticizing my lack of flossing, tells me where my problem areas are so I can improve. I would give 10 stars if I could! Dr. G and the staff are top notch. The office is pristine, safety processes and check in are easy. I have zero fears or qualms about dental care but even if I did, Dr. G's calm and informative demeanor would put the most anxious patient at ease. After a great cleaning and balanced, fair advice I decided to have my wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. G was skillful and compassionate through the procedure, making it a relatively easy process considering she was literally pulling teeth! I know I'll be sore tomorrow but I was educated on exactly what to expect, so I feel confident that I will have a decent recovery. Thank you for the exceptional care!!! I've been going to Horizon Dental Care for the past year since my move to Austin from the Bay Area. The bi-annual visits and Invisalign check-ups have gone extremely smooth. Waiting time is minimal, attentiveness is always on point, and quality care is at its highest here. I've got nothing but great things to say about Dr. G, Olivia and staff. If I could give 100 stars to Horizon Dental I would . I can not compliment Dr Z , Dr G & staff enough. The friendliness , warmth , compassion & quality of work is like no other I have ever experienced. I have been a patient for many years I struggled with very bad dental issues after my pregnancies and the embarrassment , judge mental & ultimate negative experiences I have had in the past from other providers is what kept me from seeking dental care for many years . I would often leave dental offices in tears because of how I was treated. That all changed the very first time I stepped into Horizon Dental . For the first time in my 35 years of life i was treated with compassion, care, understanding & respect from my first encounter with Dr Z until the present . Dr. Z changed my life & how I viewed dental care his smile , warm presence and just honest compassion is sincere & you feel comforted , cared for , and now for me like family . I recently had all my teeth removed and implants placed by Dr G who is as equally amazing as Dr Z it has been a 4 month process so far with several complications no fault of Horizon or quality of care I was not an easy fix as a patient all issues have been IMMEDIATELY tended to , and corrected . People think I'm crazy when I say I absolutely love going to the dentist these days and it s all because of Horizon dental , Dr s , & supporting staff . I'm in tears as I write this review because when I say horizon dental changed my life I MEAN it beyond what words can describe . I admit it: I am not the easiest dental patient. Going back into childhood I have had a lot of dental work done and am sensitive to the pain. Additionally I ask lots of questions about what is being done. Dr. Guirguis and her caring team accommodated me wonderfully. Not once was I in pain and they explained everything in a way I could understand. From appointment scheduling, to X-Rays and cleaning, examination, filling, and billing; everything went perfectly. The X-Rays that were used even caught a moderate cavity that was between the teeth and not visible otherwise. I am thankful for the care I received and will be back for future visits! read more

Cathy was my hygienist and I am so grateful to her for so many things: she was very understanding of my time constraints due to my insurance expiring, and she flexed her schedule to make sure I could get my deep cleanings down before the expiration. I had moderate periodontitis, and she was so knowledgeable and educational to me about the stage it had gotten to and what effective home care should look like. Doctor G was also so kind and efficient, and the team seems to work really well together. Mariah who has always been who I've spoken with at reception over the phone has always been pleasant and helpful. I initially came here because I didn't have a current dentist and this place was right around the corner from where I live, but I would come here even if I lived further away. Loved this place! Very clean and sanitary. I believe the receptionists name was Marriah. She was such a doll! Checked me in promptly and with a smile. Cathy cleaned my teeth and was awesome as well.
