Another five star experience today at Horizon. I did a gel mani/pedi with the Lavender spa experience. My friend did the Green Tea. Both of us were able to fully relax and my nails look great, as usual! An extremely clean and comfortable nail spa! I only ever want to come here for nails. The staff are so nice and welcoming and they really cater to the clientele. I have come with friends many times because they ensure you are seated next to each other and they really curate a spa experience that meets the needs of both people, even if they are getting different spa packages or paying for other services. I usually make an appointment but have also been welcome here walking in. This spa is always busy and once you visit, you will know why. The whole staff provides such a hospitable experience--even the owner will start your nails if they are super busy. They have a rewards system as well and you can cash in points for spa experiences or fully paid plane tickets to Florida. I have to say, I have never seen another nail spa with this kind of reward system, but you are spending the money on nails anyway, why not get points toward a full set or a trip to Florida? You can feel the quality in the products they use and while you might pay a premium price at Horizon, they never get it wrong. read more

For context, I am a girl who regularly gets my nails done. I usually get a gel set with designs, and I am still on the hunt for a perfect nail salon to suit my needs. However, while I wait for that salon to come into my life, Horizon is a good place to go to in the meantime. I've come here a few times within the past few months. The salon itself (while narrow) is consistently clean, bright, and always packed with customers. There are several nail technicians available, and making an appointment is very easy especially with the online feature (although I have called if it's day-of). Everyone is genuinely friendly, too - from the desk staff to the technicians. The prices are also clearly listed which I appreciate. My one critique of Horizon Nails is the lack of consistency with the capabilities of the nail technicians - let me explain. As mentioned, I am a person who enjoys nail art - every time I go to a salon, I want a different design. Some are simple, and some are more complex. I have not yet found a nail technician that I am truly satisfied with at Horizon Nails. Don't get my wrong - the quality of work has been great, and I love that they get me out in 90 minutes or less. However, when U book an appointment of 'gel fill with design,' I have gotten a different person every time. I think they're mantra is 'Any of our nail techs can do a design!' but you know that is just not true. I haven't run into any real issues with this yet, but I am the type of person who likes to go to my same tech with consistent results. I haven't found that at Horizon Nails yet, but I will not give up on them, and if something changes, I will be happy to come back and update this. Horizon Nails is also a little on the expensive side (their eyebrow was is like 20 bucks which is nuts - and a lip wax is 15, so 35 dollars for an eyebrow / lip wax!), but they do offer a rewards program which is a great incentive (even if it takes a lot of money to earn a reward. Also, are they serious about the trip to Florida? lol). The desk staff have also randomly given me coupons from time to time which is so nice of them and a great guarantee to make me come back for more services. I've also gotten spa pedicures from here and THAT is where Horizon really shines - honestly, probably the best pedicure that I've gotten in a really long time! And there is PARKING to boot, which is spectacular! Overall, this is a solid spot to go for manicure and pedicure services. I will be patronizing this business and hope my experience will only go up from here! read more

Small, long nail salon full of many manicure chairs in front and pedicure chairs towards the back. I walked in and they set me up w/Amy for a manicure. She was quick but thorough and did exactly what I asked for. I usu get Essie Waltz but one coat was more color so I asked not for a 2nd coat of color. Results were great! Price $25 read more

Very happy with my experience at Horizon! I recently broke up with my former salon and was on the hunt for a REALLY GOOD place for pedicures (I'm super particular). I booked the Golden Spa pedicure with Rosie and I'm very grateful I did. She was thorough, kind, and focused on my heels (like I asked). The shop is bright and everyone was welcoming. Only downside was they used the cheese grater thing (which is bad for your heels) and used a paper towel in the beginning to wipe off my legs (towel, please?). This is where I come to do my pedicure mostly. Any one of the pedicurist that does your pedicure you will love. They are very pleasing and ask many questions to make sure you feel comfortable and happy with the service offered. I go to Horizon Nail and Spa at least once a month for pedicures. this is factory of low quality nail work being done. As soon as you walk in you'll see what I'm talking about. Its a beautiful business model if you're the owner with a bunch of low paid workers. Not one person got up to wash there hands throughout the manicure process and the equipment was filthy. read more

Loved this spot until today. Made an appointment online for a specific nail technician and then was informed she couldn't do my nails because of another client. Was passed along to another nails tech who actually started my nails and then mad me move for a client that came in. That's when I had enough. Paid for my pedicure and left. My money is just as good as the next person and will not be shuffled around. No manger or management tried to rectify the situation. I will NOT be coming back. read more

I went here recently with my daughter and a friend. I just get a regular manicure. My daughter also got a kids manicure and pedicure. They have a lot of chairs here so the service was quick even though it was crowded. They have a lot of chairs, and staff so there is no waiting. I would definitely go back to this spot again, when I need a quick manicure and pedicure. read more

I def give their gel nails skill a 5, mine always last for more than 2 weeks and they do a lovely job. The staff is also very nice. But the cleanliness is another thing, I have seen the nail instruments fall to the ground and they just pick them up and use them without getting new instruments. I also see them share nail files with different customers and do not clean them in between. I'm in the healthcare and see how this is a big problem. I would just like them to understand how important cleanliness is and how easily bacteria spreads. They need more training on this. Other than that it is a good salon. read more

Went in around 12:30 pm on a weekday for regular pedicure, and the salon was full of people already. I made the appointment and there were no issues. The ladies whom I interacted with were all polite/friendly. It's pretty well organized here too but I'm not at all happy with the actual pedicure. Very disappointing... Not worth $40... read more

I usually don't do gel polish because it normally doesn't last on me but here at horizon I've been able to do gel and have it last 2.5-3 weeks on me! If I had strong nails it would last even longer. 5 stars ! read more

Alba gave me the best regular pedicure yesterday! The leg massage was excellent and she really took good care of my nails. I broke my big toe nail very very low and it was so sensitive and she was very careful and still made the polish look ok love this place. read more

Cherry for dip, trendy nails, anything really. She's so conscientious and detail-oriented. You'll get a good three weeks everyone. No chip, cuticles info great condition and she's the sweet auntie everyone needs. David on the toes. All day! If you have the time and extra coins, invest in a spa pedicure- the gold one is my fav! He gives the best massages, attacks the calluses and cuticles, shape and paint on point leaving you with brand new feet! Will last you as long as you keep your feet and cuticles moisturized. First I went in there very packed and small and tight spot but we still decided to give it a try. First I showed my inspo to the lady she said she can't do it it was French nails with a little glitter she told me she can't do that . And only for acrylic nails full set 100 no design no color ! I just said okay I'll do a plain set then she only had curvy nails and didn't have straight tips she said she can flatten it ti look like it but she couldn't do it someone had to try for her as well all she kept saying was your nails gonna be long why long nails I can't do that . She then processed to say I'm scared while doing my nails Because she knew she couldn't do nails . I told her to clip them off and left ! Still had to pay 60. dollars read more

Let me preface by saying I'm not a local by any means. I was just on vacation and a friend and I decided to get our nails done. We went in blind and came out feeling welcomed and as if we were locals. They treated us with the utmost respect and the nails look fantastic. I had the pleasure of getting my nails done by Young and she did an amazing job. She asked multiple times to confirm what I wanted was what I wanted and did her absolute best to make me feel welcomed in an environment I wasn't familiar with without even knowing that I wasn't familar with it. She took the time to make sure my nails were perfect and to my liking. Overall excellent customer service from Young and everyone else who works there. This is the worst nail salon anywhere with an extremely nasty owner, Su. I actually accepted her negative attitude and customer abuse for nearly a year because I liked David, Mindy and Young but after making an online reservation on their mediocre website system, Su actually chastised me in front of her staff and customers for doing it wrong.........that was my last visit to this horrible business establishment! Wow, I almost didn't recognize this nail salon where I had been coming for years. Name was changed and the renovation made it look very open and spacious. A long row of 10 chairs ready for people to get their feet pretty for the warm weather in addition to the many manicure stations in the front. I was there around 2pm on a Sat and it was pretty empty (guess most people get the nails done early in the morning). I was greeted immediately and boy, those chairs with massage features came in handy too. PS: salon is closed on Sundays. Pedi-mani combo on weekdays will save you $7 than weekend prices. Also, you will receive a coupon card and get 20% off at your 6th visit. read more

It's like a nail chop shop in a good way. lol! They always have nail technicians available. It's super clean and the staff are REALLY attentive. I love that I can just walk in anytime and get a fabulous pedicure or manicure. I always get the spa pedicure which is so worth it. I've gone to at least 4 other nail salons before I settled on Horizon. I just love that i know i'm going to get great service and an awesome mani pedi. read more

Friendly atmosphere. Usually I get a gel manicure, last for about 2-3 weeks. Also, a pedicure. Sometimes they don't let your feet soak first they just start going at em dry... smh but it depends who you get. Usually very busy in the weekend, make an appointment if you can. Prices increasing sadly. 75 plus tip for gel mani and pedi. read more

I went in for a pedicure spa treatment that included 15 min of reflexology foot treatment, waxing and exfoliation. What a wonderful experience! These people actually know what they're doing! The pedicure topped everything off. Expertly done! The interior decorative chandeliers provided the right touch of elegance against Tuscan tile walls. Great experience! read more

My first time here and I had a wonderful nail Tech, Angie. I came in around 5 on a Saturday evening and it fairly packed but some nail techs were available. The space itself is fairly large and goes back pretty deep, they have ample seating for mani/pedi work and is very clean. My nail tech was so meticulous about cleaning my nails and especially my cuticle area, she really took care of my nails. They also do a loyalty card, every 6th visit is 20% off :) i love my nails although i think i choose a color too dark for my skin tone ‍ anyway I think I found a new place! They do specials for $30 mani/pedi as well. Like most places they do a massage after you get your nails done. Which if you have tense shoulders like me during the holiday season it's amazing . Also if you're a new customer they give you a free olive oil cream, I think it's what they use to massage your hands, smells great. read more

I really wanted to do my nails but I wasn't sure where to go because the person I usually go to doesn't work anymore . I decided to check out some nail salon reviews here on Yelp and I remember seeing this place having good reviews and I was in the area so I said why not just give it a try? I called and the lady said to come right in. I didn't even have to wait 1 min ! Young did my nails. She was such a nice lady and I really liked how my nails came out! This is my usual nail place since I moved to Cliffside Park. I came here 3 weeks ago and everything was fine until I was told to pay $70 for my gel mani and regular pedicure. It really pissed me off how they didn't warn me about prices being raised before I decided to make an appointment. I recently went to horizon to get a gel manicure. It was clean & prompt. Suki did my nails. It was a great gel manicure. I'm sure they all do a nice job. I had her cut them a little, I don't like my nails real long. She shaped them nicely. They also massage your neck a couple of minutes which is a nice bonus! I recommend horizon nails. read more

The best in the area for sure! I've lived in Port Imperial for a while and have been disappointed by all the other salons I've tried until I found Horizon today. Not only do they do a great job, but they are EFFICIENT! I hate when I go for a simple gel manicure and it takes over an hour (as is frequently the case at other salons in the area). But Michelle worked efficiently and carefully and I was so pleased with the result -- in and out in under 40 min! They seem like they're consistently pretty busy, but they were still able to take me (a walk in) right away. They are a well oiled machine! read more

*REVIEW UPDATE* I can't rave enough about this place. This has become like my second home. All the ladies there remember my name and make it a priority for my nails to be done perfectly. I now get the UV Gel and go in for fill-in's only ONCE a month! That's how long they last. Every manicure has been consistently near perfect and I have never complained once. My favorite technician is Justine, but honestly I'd trust any one of them with my nails. They take the time to look at all the inspo pics I bring in and do their best to match it for me. And then from there, they strike up conversation immediately. I'm fortunate enough that I speak Korean too, so our conversations can easily go between Korean and English. For anyone who says that it's unprofessional for them to be speaking Korean, please know that Korean is their first language. It's unfair to ask that they speak English all the time. And they don't talk about customers - they're usually asking one another if they ate lunch, what they're doing later, how their families are doing, etc. Please don't get the wrong idea. It's not like we would travel to another country and the natives would tell us to speak their language. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but I think they're worth the cost. They do such a nice job, do it thoroughly, and make an effort to get to know you. If you need them to be done in a shorter amount of time, all you have to do is ask. My technicians always finished even before my drop dead timeline. Otherwise, a UV Gel fill in can last a little over 1 hr. read more

Not even a week of a new set. Thumb is cracked, pinky broke, the cuticle is horrible. They don't prep the nail. There's for nails don't last. I have came about 3 times here. Since the first time I had to come back Because my UV-Gel also was cracking. First Salon I've found who's technique is what it should be! At other establishments, my gel manicures would chip just days after. Since I've begun coming to Horizon, my gel manicures have lasted me days short of a month ! Great experience. Very very clean and have plexiglass divisors between other customers and the manicurists. The regular pedicure was really detailed, good foot/ leg massage. Gel manicure was great. I have short nails so it can sometimes be challenging but she did a great job! Overall impressed! read more

The aesthetician was able to get out all of the big black heads , which is all I cleared about. My nose had ton of blackheads and now it's super smooth. I'm docking points for hygienic practices overall. The blankets and the sheets between clients don't get changed. I don't think that's clean. The room itself also had a smell when I walked in but not sure what it was. I did get a discount for first time customer. One hour was $100, not including tax and tip.

I've been getting compliments from friends I haven't seen in months that they're shocked with how beautiful my complexion is now. Even Nirit has been admiring her work :) I used to be plagued with cysts and regular pimples most of the month, especially around my period, ever since the 5th grade. I went to so many dermatologists and tried just about every medicine they could think of. I've spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars in makeup, masks, clay, acne treatments, gimmicks, etc... I was on the verge of going through the accutane treatment (again) and dreading the commitment, discomfort and inevitable slew of breakouts when I found and decided to take the advice of Nirit. I had nothing to lose. After speaking to her the first day, she showed me how my how my products were drying out my face, (thinking that my oily face needed to be soaked up i used powder makeup and clay masks all the time), which was actually encouraging MORE pimples and irritating the existing breakouts that were taking forever to heal... I've completely changed my routine to 6 products (only 4 I bought at Nirit's salon, the other two are a moisturizer and sunscreen) in addition to the monthly facials (extractions and aromatherapy oils) to get to a place i've been dreaming of the last 15 years. Though I still get 1-2 breakouts during my most hormonal week, they've been incredibly fast to heal (3-5 days vs what used to be 2 weeks) and more often than not end up going away before it fully forms anyway. Besides, i used to easily get up to 5+ cystic pimples in a single week so just having one or two makes me want to cry with joy. It's only been 3 months, really, and I'm so encouraged by this process that I can't wait to see how my skin evolves by the end of the year! I'm developing good skin habits, creating a better skin environment and am much more aware of what i'm putting on my skin. It's not the cheapest option for me, but by budgeting appropriately - and saving a LOT on what i used to spend in cosmetics and skin care products - it's an expense that i'm 100% able and willing to make. I'm actually saving money in the end... My anxiety and self-consiousness is way way down and I'm even able to go out the door without make up on and feel good about myself. I highly recommend Nirit's salon! Her advice is solid and the bit of tough love you need to change the way you see your skin Oh, and my eyebrows are absolutely gorgeous... :)
