Worst experience I've ever had with a dealer. I live out of state and was trying to get it done over the phone. First they took 2 days to get an out the door price. Each day they would go 3-4 hours in between contacts. Saying I'm next up/we are working on it now, etc etc. They tried to increase the base price from their advertised internet price once they did get it to me (two days after I started). Finally called and said I need a manager, gave me a slight run around, next up told me the "options" on the vehicle couldn't be taken off. And "lying" about he couldn't take the sales tax off. Out of state plays their own state sales tax, not Arizona. So wasted 2 and a half days of my time. If you get Clark as a sales person, just walk away. And Huey the manager had other things more important twice when we were on the phone. Don't give them your business. read more

Took my Soul in for some recall work and servicing and Crystal was my advisor. She did a walk around with me, went over the things we were doing and recommendations. She treated me like a VIP and made my experience an awesome one! So alongside the recalls, I got new wiper blades and a battery, plus did recommended system flushes. Plus they washed and vacuumed my Soul and got it all roadtrip worthy for me, as I am headed out to Palm Springs and Laughlin the next two weekends for concerts and will get to see family as well! Time to trade in my GMC Acadia. It was a pretty good vehicle but the warranty absolutely suuuucked! So having had two Kia's previously I decided to go with them again, and I picked up the Telluride S after much research as it was ranked #1 in midsized SUVs. I couldn't be happier with my decision. They gave me what I wanted for my trade in and I went a level up from the base model which I had planned on getting because they had a righteous deal on it. Now about my salesman and experience with their financing department. My previous salesperson was great, but my finance guy who closed the deal was a nightmare as detailed in my previous post. It was a completely different story this time I am pleased to report. My salesman Abdulh was terrific! He didn't do a hard sale which was greatly appreciated as he answered the questions I had but wasn't intrusive with constantly over hyping the vehicle to me. He took me out to test drive several of them and was able to answer every single question I had and was knowledgeable and about the vehicles. I doubt you'll get from most salesman who don't know what they are selling, and after I bought the vehicle he sat and walked me through the Kia Connect app for some time. So yeah, ask for Abdulh because he's just a great guy to work with. Regarding the financing guy who does the final paperwork. Th last guy I worked with when I bought a car there was super disrespectful and I almost killed the deal because of it. He tried to upsell me on things (which I get is how they make profit) but he just kept shaking his head and essentially called me an idiot over and over when I told him I wasn't interested in something this time I worked with Harvey Alexander. He was super respectful, and while he did present the options for additional services as he has to do, he wasn't disrespectful when I declined. He also did the paperwork quickly so I wasn't sitting around all day which was appreciated. Guys like these and the quality of Kia will keep me coming back to this dealership. Beware of add-ons you didn't ask for, and understand that some of the staff here, not all, become very rude after the sale and use predatory sales tactics prior. My wife and I went in just to look at cars, and she immediately loved the Telluride. She traded in her 2019 HR-V, which had low mileage and was in good condition, for what seemed like a fair price for both parties. She originally wanted the hybrid, but since it won't be out for a while, she decided to go with the current model. The salesperson was, in my opinion, a bit pushy especially toward leasing. I was distracted taking care of our 1-year-old, so I wasn't fully involved in every part of the discussion. My wife made it clear she did not want add-ons. For example, they tried charging $200 for floor mats. We're not paying $52,000 plus taxes and title and then getting charged extra for basic items like floor mats, especially on a lease. Long story short, we went home and reviewed the paperwork. They had added over $2,000 in add-ons, things we normally would never agree to pay for, including the floor mats and other unnecessary extras. The next day, my wife went back to speak with them. The same people who were nice during the sale completely changed. I was on speaker the entire time. They were gaslighting her, making false statements, and at one point even told her to leave the office (one of the finance guys, literally yelled and said, get out of my office). After 2-3 hours of back and forth and being treated poorly, they finally agreed to cancel the contract and return her old vehicle. To make it worse, once she got the car back, she had to remove the baby's car seat herself from the new vehicle, transfer it to her old car, and move all of her belongings, all while caring for our baby. Not one employee offered to help until a random sales person was walking by and helped her, becauae he was unaware of the other guys actions. But a little too late, swas just about done with everything. Just be cautious. Review every line of paperwork before signing, and don't let anyone pressure you into add-ons you don't want. We will never go here, and we will make sure we spread the word to avoid this place at all cost. read more

Oh where to begin , I had purchased a car here years back and didn't have issues but I was in there a couple days ago and I can't begin to tell you the shady practices this place uses and please read through the other 1 star reviews because I absolutely believe them all now. So we walked in to look for a car and test drive a car and up to that point everything was fine but then everything went sideways. 1st off they were so adamant for me to agree on a price and sign the paper and I was like no what price can you do so I said a price and he took the walk to his manager and came back and sat down , all he did was go and talk to another employee and told him to come ask for the keys because someone just came in to make an offer on the car 1k more then me which happened to be the same price he wanted to put it at ( mind you this is 8:30 at night ) so if your going to be shady and lie you should cover your tracks considering there was nobody else in the rooms wanting a car and the car was exactly where we parked it when we left. So I told them no I'm not interested in that and told them I would go talk to the people that wanted the car but oh no they didn't want that since the people didn't exist, then they brought in the manager to try and con me into a price and show me his calculations and all the cost which I wasn't interested even my daughter was laughing at the tactics of lying and deceiving they put on they should realize that there are plenty of places and cars to shop for and you may get some people with these tactics but I will never be back and if anyone asks I will tell them the same. The worst! I made an appointment for 8:30am a week ago. They said it would take up to 3 hours on the phone and today. It's been 6. I've called 6 times with no response. Left 2 messages for service manager to call me back about an hour ago. Still no response. App says my car has been checked in but hasn't been looked at yet. I live in Queen Creek. Service Drive!!! So I went to another dealership close by on Thursday when the CDK hack was full bloom. They said they couldn't help me unless I was getting an oil change and sent me packing. I then took it to Horne Kia, I was greeted by Crystal in the Service Drive and she told me what was going on which the other dealership didn't and told me she was hopeful. She took my car in going using old school paperwork and off I went. The next day I got a call from Crystal telling my warranty company sucks and how to fix it. I did exactly what she said and since then, things are looking up. She ordered all the parts and said I'll have my car back by Friday. When she told me about my warranty company and their preferences, they (warranty company) told me to take it to the original dealership. Horrible experience! I went into look at a Telluride and met with Aaron. He provided me his card and explained when I was ready to make a deal to text him and he would get everything lined up so I wouldn't have to spend all day at the dealership. I week later I text him I was ready to move forward. He was very slow to respond and we had little movement on a deal over 3 days. By day 3 the vehicle I wanted was gone, he told me he could get me to my desired payment in a similar vehicle and once I agreed told me he still had to run numbers to try and make it work. I would like to share one of the GREATEST car buying experiences my wife and I had at Horne Kia! We were looking for 2023-2024 Kia Sportage SX Prestige, and after getting jacked around at Germain Honda of Surprise, Ken Garf Kia of Avondale and Sands Chevrolet of Surprise (see my google reviews). I contacted Lisa Brawner at Horne Kia to inquire about a similar car I saw on Carfax. It was late in the evening and she told me to come in anyway. We got there about 8:00 in the evening and Lisa was with another customer, closing a deal. Well I don't even think we waited 15 minutes and she was back with us, working on getting us the vehicle we wanted. I hadn't realized they were closing at 9:00! I bought a BRAND NEW Kia Niro SX Touring Hybrid with 38 miles on it. This is a GREAT car and I have NO issue with Kia itself, just Horne Kia the sub-par dealership. Within days, I discovered the car was delivered half a quart low on oil and with all four tires 10 pounds underinflated. That's not a "minor oversight"--that's basic negligence on a new vehicle. Checking that stuff before delivery is MONKEY level quality control! When I told Lisa(sales rep) , she acted surprised, but there was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to make it right somehow. Horne Kia shoves overpriced, sub-standard and non-cancellable extras like "Lifetime Tint" and "Smartshield" into your deal whether you want them or not because they are already installed on the car. Obviously, one would assume the item was QC'd to some extent before delivering to the customer, right? WRONG! (Why would they ? They didn't even check tires/oil!) My "lifetime tint" looked terrible from day one. After the first wash I noticed many bubbles and scratches on multiple windows. When I pointed this out, Lisa gave me the predictable "bring it in and we'll fix it" response. That's not acceptable on a $37K brand new car. I don't have time to be leaving my new car at the dealer for stupid things that should not be, I have bills to pay. That is why I bought a NEW car. Give me my $700 back, take the tint off and I'll go get BoBo the tint monkey to give me a $250 no-bubble tint job. I admit I didn't see the problems initially because my car was also delivered with etched hard-water stains on all the glass so I didn't even notice the tint defects until after the first wash. Lisa was made aware of this as well. But here's the real scam: I canceled several service contracts and warranties directly with JM&A, the warranty administrator. JM&A refunded everything promptly to my lender except for one contract that was refunded to Horne Kia and was supposed to be credited to my lender account. The one and only refund Horne Kia is responsible for? Still missing as of 9/14/25 , more than two months later. JM&A confirmed multiple times that the refund credit was sent to Horne Kia and the issue has now been escalated to a higher level at JM&A. Alicia, the person responsible for refunds at Horne Kia, flat-out lied to me, saying they never received the credit. She promised to follow up with me but never has. Could this simply be yet ANOTHER example of Horne Kia's proven general imcompetence and indifference to customer issues after the sale? I think so. Meanwhile, I'm still paying interest to my lender on money Horne Kia is sitting on that does not belong to them. In short, Horne Kia is a perfect example of what's wrong with shady dealerships : * They don't inspect new cars before delivery. Oil level and tire pressure checks are bare minimum, and they couldn't even manage that. * They force junk add-ons you may not want and can't cancel, and then deliver them with defects right out of the box. * They lie and dodge responsibility when it comes to refunds. * Their smiles and "customer service" vanish the second you've signed the paperwork. If you enjoy giving up your hard-earned money just to be robbed, lied to, scammed, and ignored Horne Kia will be happy to take your money and make your dreams come true. I had a flat tire on my Kia Sorento. Brandon from the service department told me to go in the next morning. I drove the car with the spare wheel on it to the dealership. They installed a brand new tire in a short amount of time. Brandon kept me informed on status and time the car would be done. To my surprise they even washed my car and it was super clean. I purchased a 2020 Ford Escape SEL from Horne Kia that had been on there lot for 88 days. We went back and forth with the pricing and were given multiple pricing sheets. On the "final" pricing sheet there was three additional items added, Smart Shield, Road Hazard and Window Tint. When we stated that we did not want these items we were told "those come standard on all vehicles sold by Horne Kia and are not items that can be taken off because they are already on the vehicle" (a complete bait and switch tactic). I really liked the vehicle and was exhausted from the back and forth so I said fine. Well after further review of the CarFax report the tint was added to the vehicle when it was sold by the manufacturer. Additionally on the "vehicle services" that Horne Kia reported to CarFax they did not put a new tint on the vehicle. When I looked at the Smart Shield contract it states that it was "optional". I will never ever buy a vehicle from a Horne dealership again and it is absolutely disgusting that they participate in these types of sales tactics which are also against the law in some cases. read more

My wife and I have recently bought two new cars from Horne Kia - a Sportage and a Seltos. Very nice cars, but that's not why I'm writing this review. We recently had our first scheduled maintenance for our 2023 Sportage. Unfortunately we had an issue with the oil change which resulted in a substantial oil leak. Turns out the drain plug wasn't fully tightened. But I'm not writing this as a condemnation, but instead as a compliment and a salute to this dealer's outstanding service department. The leak wasn't all that serious as it was discovered early. I called Horne service the next morning after the discovery, and I was immediately put in touch with their warranty covered roadside assistance for a tow. Within an hour the tow happened and their service grouped immediately addressed the issue. The service representative with we deal (Mikey) called us to take full accountability for the issue and within three hours the entire the car was back on the road. Every business that we deal with can make a mistake. We're all human. The real test is the manner with which a company deals with a mistake. Horne's response was exemplary. Very disappointed with our service. We took our car in after our fuel pump broke. It took over a week to get our car back. Then had to take it back in because it caused the check engine light to come on. We took it in again and all they did was quickly tell us we needed a new gas cap. Bought and replaced that, but then our gas sensor was broken and wouldn't fill our tank completely at the station. Had to take it back in and now they have our car for another two days. The back and forth because the job hasn't been completed is causing my family to miss day to day things that I need my car for. Their dealer incentive they advertised on the website was what brought me in the door . Their dealer added items are $2395. While dealer added items are pretty common in this market, $2395 is way above the average. Doc fee is also higher than average @ $699 vs median $499. They told me in writing they would 'work with me' on the adds if I came in person. I spent 4 hours there in person over two days, and they wouldn't budge on the add ons. So that was a bait and switch. I also know for a fact they charged crazy market adjustments during covid shortages, while (some) other dealers in the area did not. I will not be giving this place my business now or in the future (which is too bad because they're right up the street from me). Walked away from the deal. Every time they presented numbers they were different. Case in point, floor mats (add-on) on one paper in the car was listed for 200, but was then presented as 250 in the first set of paperwork, then later told as 299, then later as another price. During the negotiation phase they tried to switch numbers around so my cost would actually be a little higher each time. Since I was paying cash, they could not hide the numbers in the financing, so everything was transparent. Nothing was ever right. KIA Horne far-and-away offers THE WORST car buying experience of my life. My wife and I went there because she was interested in test driving/purchasing the EV6. We were greeted right away and asked what brought us in and we explained we were interested in the EV6. We were never asked any questions as to what specific features we were looking for so we were basically just lead around the lot for 25 minutes having to check every window sticker for the trim models before we located the ONE car that wasn't the base/bottom line model. Maybe it's just me but a competent sales person/department probably should have done an inventory search of their system to identify their inventory but I'm sure they would say something along the lines of "inventory changes rapidly" or some other used car sales person lingo to justify their laziness. Either way, we found what we wanted & drove it... eventually. My wife liked the vehicle and we decided to go home for the night and decide what we wanted to do regarding a purchase. They told us to check KBB since we were planning to trade her vehicle because that's what dealers use to assess trade value. We return the next day (with her vehicle to trade). We sit down to discuss numbers and they start by offering us 66% of the KBB trade value for her 2022 Land Rover. I immediately asked how they arrived at this number they said the KBB value is what they can sell it for - not what they give us in trade. I should have walked out right then and gone elsewhere! We didn't - regrettably. So eventually we move them off that ridiculous offer for our trade and we're getting close to hitting a point of comfort with negotiated price when I asked for a complete printout of charges. They bring the information and they trying to charge me over $3400 of dealership add-ons. When I asked why I'm being charged "$899 maintenance fee" for an EV they told me "it's to perform necessary maintenance and software updates". I asked why an EV needs additional maintenance & software fees if there is a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty on the battery already they said the vehicle has to be brought to them for updates. Which is actually incorrect and they didn't even know this doesn't need to be done at the dealership but since it's an EV they want you to come in so they can find additional issues/charges. So things continue to get heated because they refuse to budge off the dealership charges because "this is our profit margin" (I was told). I finally told them we're leaving and good luck selling this scam to others. We continued to go back and forth and eventually they moved off a few charges and we agreed to purchase the 2024 EV6. I have to say, I just bought a 2024 Bronco for myself and after picking up this car for my wife I loved my experience with my vehicle purchase and regret giving KIA Horne our business for my wife's vehicle. Do yourself a favor and just go elsewhere if you want a KIA. This dealership represents everything that is wrong with the car buying industry. No sales knowledge, low ball trade offer, dealer add-on charges, upsell and overcharge because they feel you're a captive audience. This place is just downright awful. I called about a specific car they just received; they didn't have any pictures yet, so I spoke to a gentleman named Jeremy. He went on about how clean this car is and that it was in good condition, then sent me some pictures. I looked at the pictures, and the car looked okay--nothing too crazy. So I made the drive, which is about an hour for me, and finally saw the car in person, along with my sales guy Jeremy. The car was absolutely disgusting; the exterior was caked in dirt, looking like it had just been off-roading. Exterior cleanliness wasn't a big deal because that's always washable, but the inside--oh my God--was terrible. There were sauce stains everywhere, rips in the leather, trash in the glove box, and an unknown water bottle with yellow liquid in it on the driver's side door. Needless to say, I was pissed because I was told this car is very "clean". I had my time wasted, and when I asked him about all this, he seemed completely indifferent and didn't even try to work with me on the price. It didn't even look like he wanted to be there, and on top of that, he lied to me about the car. Absolutely a waste of my time, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for anything. read more

Meet with the Internet Sales guy and told him we will be trading in a 2016 Ford focus and possibly putting 3000 down. We told him what we wanted our monthly payments to be. He said sure that would get us to the payment. He went back ran numbers and brought back Al Burton,the Internet Director who stated we needed an additional 2000 down as the price listed on the window of the vehicle did not include Kia factory upgrades totaling about 2500. So with taxes, documents fees, delivery fees, and upgrades, the price of the car would be a little over 24000. Putting us well over my daughter's monthly payment budget. It should be noted this would have been the 4th vehicle my family would've bought in the last two years from Horne Kia. Al was unwilling to work with us, so we left. My wife found the same car at Tempe Kia for the same price of 18000. We went down to Tempe Kia and bought the vehicle and got the Platinum maintenance service package and still was in my daughter's monthly budget. I would NOT RECOMMEND HORNE KIA! Don't waste your time! Drove over two hours to buy a car from Horne Kia. The sales men were nice but would not budge on their prices. No negotiating. They wouldn't honor online pricing or past sales prices. Even though it's the end of the year when they might want to get rid of some old inventory they didn't seem like they really wanted to sell any cars that bad or cared about making a sale. Was told they could get us in a car around what we wanted our payment to be only for them to come back with almost double, not even close to what we were comfortable paying. 2 and half hours sitting there for nothing. My car didn't have all the items from the window sticker. The dealership sent me a fake window sticker (that doesn't match mine at all). Wrote google review and still no help after calling several times. Purchased the vehicle said the maintance was done for 75,000 being it's 78,000. A DISHONEST DEALERSHIP! OK, now I get it, very low sucky ratings. I went there to buy a USED (2019 Stinger) car on Tuesday 1/25/22 at noon. The price for the car I was given included $899 for paint protection... Paint protection on a used car? OK so anyway $899 for paint protection however, the paint was going south, with clearcoat was already peeling off in two different places, AND NO CATALYTIC CONVERTER! The car was obviously not garaged and the Arizona son had taken its toll, but still, even though the car had horrible pain, they wanted to charge me $899 for paint protection or a used car with bad paint... What the hell? I BLAME THE SALES MANAGER, He made the price and he worked this crap into the deal. If your paint protection was so good, worth $900, why don't you contact the company that makes the product and make them pay for the paint job since their product obviously as crap? (BTW, I've sold cars in the past and I know for sure that Paint protection from dealerships is a joke, it's nothing more than common wax and it does not do what they claim, obviously, these pictures of proof) DON'T BUY YOUR CAR HERE, crooked there are other places that won't treat you this way Anyway, I purchased a car that day and it ended up being a better car so in spite of them trying to cheat me I came out on top! You ignored multiple phone calls, canceled a scheduled delivery last minute, and then changed the vehicle's price online--raising serious concerns about your business practices. This dealership is horrible, worst experience at a dealership I've ever had. I started with trying to get information and a quote through email. I saw from their online inventory they had two cars that were the model and color I was looking for. I also filled out an online form to get an additional $500 for my trade in when I buy a new car. I instantly received a phone call from Al (I let it go to voicemail) and an email from Rachel. I wasn't ready to talk to anyone over the phone so I responded back to Rachel via email. I asked several times for an out-the-door price on the vehicle I was looking at and finally received something. The quote included $2395 worth of dealer add ons, wow they must have added gold wheels. I asked for a price break down of those adds and I finally received the copy of a flyer showing what was included. Wanting to understand what each items were I responded with a list of questions. That's when I received an email from Al, the Internet Sales Manager, trying to get me into the dealership and an email from Rachel asking if I'd had a chance to look at the quote. Yes, I'd looked at the quote and responded with questions, where are my answers? I finally did receive some very cryptic answers from Rachel. For Al and Rachel being on the Internet Sales Team they sure had terrible email communication skills. Rachel also sent me a list of their inventory and it still showed the two cars I was interested in. We finally decided to drive down to the dealership for a test drive and an actual physical inspection of the vehicle. This dealership was quite a ways from our house and it's been 110+ outside so I was hoping to get a lot of the negotiations done online, but that was way too frustrating. We got to the dealership where parking was limited. We were eagerly greeted at the door by a salesman and I asked for Rachel (that was a mistake). Rachel came out to greet us (I use that term loosely), she had no personality and acted like she couldn't care less whether we were there or not. There was a car in the showroom floor, not the exact model we were looking for but one of the higher end models. I tried the doors and the car was locked. I mentioned this to Rachel and she said probably someone accidentally locked it, then she just stood there. I asked if she could unlock it so we could look inside....dah! She went and got the controller pointed it at the car from a distance, it beeped, and then she walked away. She never told us it was unlocked or attempted to show us the car. Finally Joshua, who I believe was the General Manager, came up to see what we were looking for. He had no idea what inventory he had because of a recent data breach, so he had to physically go out on the lot to scope it out. As it turned out the two cars that were the model and color we were looking for they no longer had....that would have been nice to know before making the trek down there. Then amazingly there was no attempt on Joshua's part to try to find that vehicle at a different dealership for us, he never even offered us his card. How they sell cars, I don't know. We left immediately and decided to try Courtesy Kia which is actually closer to our house. They were awesome, everything Horne was not. We ended up driving home in a new car that was the model we wanted but a different color. read more
