The service manager, Andre as well as Mike Zaccardo , kept speaking to me like I never had a car in the state of Arizona and they both stressed that it was my battery and I should start there to "save me some money. And as I love how Andre states "if I even have a warranty on my battery" not knowing I purchase top notch batteries on top of that just purchased my battery 2 months ago. I did take my battery back to car quest and have my battery tested and it tested GOOD right away and the tech stated my car should have no troubles starting with this battery in your car. The problem is still a mystery as this Kia service dept won't take my car back to see what they screwed up on , they want to charge me a tow fee and a $200 diagnostic fee to see what's wrong with my car that NO LONGER STARTS UP after I DROVE MY VEHICLE THERE MYSELF RUNNING PERFECTLY FINE. This is the worst dealership i ever dealt with. We bought our new Telluride in March of last year. A couple of months later a trim under the passenger side window came loose. Its been over 9 months and many unanswered calls and still nothing has been done. I had to call their corporate office to see if they could help. Horne sales manager won't answer their calls. What started as a great experience turned sour pretty quick. We went to Horne yesterday to test drive a Telluride for a lease, the car was great and checked off all the boxes. We left to go test drive a few other companies for due diligence. Came back today and narrowed down which trim level we wanted. We appreciate how patient the sales guy was with us. We found one we wanted that was showing in inventory but the sales guy came back and said the Horne family was using it as a demo and made no attempt to make it available.. We ended up going with a more expensive trim. We were very up front we didn't want to pay any money down. They honored the online price which I was excited about. The excitement ended pretty quick when the deal sheet showed up. They gave us what we wanted from the trade (a little too easily to be honest). What they don't tell you is the over $3k in dealer add ons which just wiped away that internet 'deal'. We told the sales guy we didn't want to pay for all of those add ons. We felt we were being fair and asked for about half the costs of the add-ons. They did let us know the money factor for the lease but not the buy rate, which is understandable. My wife and I have tier 1 credit so we wanted to make sure it was reflective. When the sales guy came back after the first round of negotiation he said they can't waive the add ons but would buy down the rate (didn't disclose how much) then line items on the deal sheet disappeared the accessories charges, the payoff for our trade and somehow the cap adjustment reduction was $1k short of the amount of positive equity we had in our trade. We noticed the deal sheet has a figure in what is typically the money down section but it wasn't labeled. We assumed that was the equity of the car being used as a down payment... we were wrong. Fast forward (we are now at 3 hours of elapsed time) and we finally settled on a lease payment after figuring the OTD price, we started getting things together, they ran our credit and everything we looking good. But something was still not sitting right with the numbers so I asked the sales person again as he was giving us some incorrect info, so he brought his manager in to explain the numbers. After the manager explained the pricing, it finally clicked, THE DEAL WAS MADE WITH A DOWN PAYMENT! We were crystal clear that outside of paying the first payment and the required fees, we didn't want to put a penny down. The sales person said that it wasn't a down payment but our equity. Well of course now we are $3500 off from a deal, they run the numbers again with $0 (which is how they should have been) and magically the missing line items showed back up, the payment jumped over $100/month. What really shocked me was seeing the rental charge being outrageously high! I can almost guarantee they did a crazy mark up on the money factor to pocket even more on the deal. They also were going to pocket the manufacturer incentives as part of 'lowering the price". The manager apologized for the miscommunication but did zero to try to keep a sale from walking out the door. Don't trust the internet prices, don't fall for their 'non-negotiable' add ons, look over every number with a fine tooth comb or they will take advantage of you. Absolutely the WORST car buying experience I have ever had in 20+ years! Completely unethical!! Found the vehicle online, internet price was $4500 less than the sticker price, spoke with Silus, who CONFIRMED the price. Explained I would need to bring my daughter in with me, need to ensure this is the CORRECT price on the vehicle. Filled out credit app online, called to confirm rcpt and score. Took an Uber to the dealer with my daughter to complete sale and bring the new vehicle home. This is where EVERYTHING went wrong. Battery DOA, easy replacement... Waited while they changed it, finally went on a test drive. Get back to dealership and sit and wait 45 min before Silus brought back my credit application which was not even accurate. Remember I checked on this before coming in. Wait another 30min before he comes back with the first batch of numbers... This is where the real games begin!! Complete SCAM!! First came back with a price $10,000 MORE than what the web price was, and this was AFTER my $5,000 down!! Needless to say an hour later, things never got better!! Buyer beware, they added $2700 in dealer addition fees (floor mats, window tint and oil changes) then added $4100 in extended warranties that we NEVER discussed!! Plus, $1900 in GAP insurance. So, they managed to ADD $10,000 in additional fee's without even discussing this. PLUS with my 786 credit score offered me 7% financing on a brand new vehicle!! I can buy a used vehicle at 6%. All I am saying is BE CAREFUL! The creepy manager that comes at the end to 'close' the deal, is really cringy! They truly are running top notch scams out of this dealer! The most morally bankrupt company I've ever had the misfortune of trying to deal with. We were interested in a 2023 Kia Sorento PHEV , w/ the absurd " options " every dealership makes mandatory ( not really optional then , are they ? ) it stickered for right at 54K . ON THEIR OWN website they had a tenative deal of $ 835 / mo. for 72 months @ 4.99% APR , again , ON THEIR WEBSITE . The salesperson comes back with a very generous offer of $958 for 84 months at 8.99% !!! LMAO , I guess they think everyone who walks through their doors are mindless idiots . The kicker is the finance manager came out all upset because I wouldn't shake his hand after the way I'd been insulted. At nine months pregnant and ready to have our baby any day, We were so excited to find a car online that seemed perfect for our growing family. I called to confirm the car was available, and they assured me it was. Despite being very pregnant, and not feeling very good I got up and tried to dress comfortably in leggings and a comfy halter maternity top, it took everything to try to get up and go even though I still didn't feel good enough to go. My hubby encouraged me saying it was for the family because we both needed to sign the new car documents. So off we went I rushing to the dealership because we wanted a safe, reliable car to bring our baby home from the hospital. When we arrived, they claimed the car had "just been sold" and immediately tried to push us toward a much more expensive model. We were devastated and frustrated. Afterward, I looked up their reviews online and discovered we were not the only ones who had experienced this bait-and-switch tactic. To make matters worse, they insisted on running our credit--despite the fact we were already being pre-approved for financing--and the hard inquiry caused both of our credit scores to drop by 10 points. All for a car they never had in stock in the first place. This dealership's behavior is unethical and unacceptable. After my last service appointment I will never go to Kia Horne dealership again. This experience has turned me off of Kia and I can't see myself ever buying another vehicle from this brand. Long story short I have a 2016 Kia Soul with less than 50000 miles. After regular maintenance they said I had about 700$ of work to do. They said I needed new filters, change and flush of all the fluids in the car, ect ( I had done all of these things on a previous visit- bill was over 1000$ and now I wonder if I really needed to have the work done at all.) When I questioned what took precedence my service consultant pulled up my file and by the look on his face I knew something was wrong. He confirmed that I didn't need many items on the list / I had done everything on a previous visit and my bill went for over 700$ to 130$. I won't name the agent bc I don't want him to get in trouble for being honest but he basically confirmed if I had accepted the maintenance request they would have charged me anyway. He said "they must have not looked at your file". I spoke to the service manager Ira and he said he would talk to the mechanic- that he must be new. BS-they tried to fleece me for work I didn't need- they probably fleeced me before when I had all the work done. Hidden fees. Won't negotiate over the phone. Sales team is trained to solely get you in the door. They add $1,200 (minimum) to every car price (not disclosed) for clear coat and refuse to remove the fee. They have Kohl's type trigger advertising too (was $20,000 and now $10,000). What a joke this place is. I talked to two sales staff and both said the clear coat (and something else) is added to every car. See, how it's so "clearly" disclosed after taxes and license. I came to Horne Kia with my wife and newborn to purchase a new Kia Telluride. While at the dealership, I was going over features on the vehicle and mentioned to my sales representative, Marco Cruz that we needed a tow-hitch on the Telluride and asked if it would be included. Marco Cruz let us know that it was included and that we would just need to schedule a time with Marco to get it installed. This was September 2nd 2022. Marco Cruz then assured me that he and the Sales Manager: Austen Moore had placed the order for the part and it was going to come in. I then offered to leave a good review once the tow hitch install was completed, Marco then sent me a "Cheat-Sheet" on how to answer the Kia survey - I still have the text message as well.  I reached out to Marco Cruz, every several days over the course of 4-6 weeks over text message regarding getting this tow hitch installed and the current status. Around week 4-5 I was told that the tow hitch harness was now under recall and was no longer being installed until the recall ended.  I brought my Kia in for service today (week 6) and was told that not only is the harness under recall, but the sales department had no record of them covering the installation of a tow hitch.  I showed them the proof in writing I had after discussing this with Marco Cruz, who stated Austen Moore (Sales Manager) had ordered the part. They told me that the sales department wouldn't pay for anything out of pocket even after agreeing the text messages were legitimate.  However, they tried to make things right by offering that Marco Cruz pay for us to install a tow-hitch but not the $1200 quoted Kia tow hitch, but a tow hitch installed from U-Haul and that was the best they could offer. - I have this in text message as well from the repair representative I have screenshots of all of this as well and even showed it to them. I will never do business with Kia again. I will attempt to leave this review everywhere I can to spread awareness as well as contact corporate for any additional support. It's highly unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend working with the Horne Kia dealership, Austen Moore, or Marco Cruz after our experience. They'll tell you what you want to hear in an attempt to get as much time as possible until their Kia survey runs out. I will be communicating this with corporate as well as sending these photos to them as well.  They lost a customer for life and created an unhappy client. Be very careful here, get EVERYTHING in writing before walking out of the dealerships, even if they're included. Internet sales department review: Summed up in one word- yikes. Emailed about a vehicle listed online asking for a simple breakdown of taxes, dealer fees, etc. to get a feel for the true cost and to make sure there weren't any "surprise" fees added on by the dealer. A rep reached out and let me know they couldn't send any numbers to me, but asked when I could come in for a test drive. Told them I'd like to see numbers before coming in and was told that couldn't happen. Uh... what's the point of an internet department if you won't try to sell a car using the internet. (Reaches out to another dealer about a similar vehicle and had a price sheet sent over the same day, so it is possible and not asking too much.) Shortly after, GM emailed asking if he could be of any service/checking on our interest. Emailed him back letting him know how things went and never heard back. Internet Sales Manager Ruben emailed to check in/see if we were still shopping, so I reached out with my feedback. He emailed me back saying "as you know we are here to sell cars for a small profit. If we sell them for less that what we own them , we would go out of business fast. Fees like taxes and plates, registration etc are NOT dealer profit. Have you considered private sale? They don't have to inspect the car or make sure it passes all safety measures or guarantee you a great reliable car." huh? Way to go Horne Kia, you managed to lose a potential customer and show exactly how not to run an internet sales department all at once. In a nutshell, way too many red flags for me, especially with all the other good dealerships out there. Update: what do you know, a short time after posting my review, a price sheet gets emailed to me. Now I know why they don't want to send them- $900 paint protection fee? LOL $300 VTR fee? Visited them and immediately asked the salesperson VERY SPECIFICALLY if the dealership honors the IRS instant point of sale $4000 rebate on used EV's or plug in hybrids ( must be under $25000 and 2022 or older model). He says yes they do.I showed him internet price on sale on THEIR own website. He backpedals and says what if we can give you $4000 off the RETAIL price? Giving 2 stars because the sales associates were nice, but at the end of the day I simply didn't like how I was treated at this dealership. I have been in the market for a car for a little while, and after looking at a few different makes/models, I found the Kia K5 and instantly fell in love. Horne Kia was the closest dealership to me, and I sent over my information to their internet sales, in order to get more information on the car. At the time (about 2 weeks ago) they didn't have a K5 on the lot to test drive, as it had just come in off the truck and needed to go through pre-inspection. I completely understand and appreciate that, but when I asked when that specific car would be ready to see/test drive, I was told it would probably be "pre-sold" by then. I never heard back on the status for that car, so I decided to just go in person to see the selection. On the lot were 2 K5s, but just the base models, not the LXS with the upgraded features that I wanted. I test drove it and was told to come back on Wednesday/Thursday to see if any of the upgraded models come in. I had Wednesday off so I decided to come back to the dealership, fully ready to buy the car. Prior to coming back, I went to CarMax to get a quote on my current car, which I am leasing through Toyota. I brought the car into Horne to see how the numbers would be with it as a trade in, and honestly I was VERY offended with what they came back with! CarMax offered me almost $25,000 while Horne said it was barely worth $16,000, only $1000 more than what I owe, since it was a lease. This was a huge red flag to me, but thought I would just sell it to CarMax, pay off what I owe and be left with a little over $9,000 for a down payment. We continue to run the numbers and do a credit check, factoring in $9000 down and a very high credit score. The first payment they come back with is at an almost 6% interest rate over the course of 84 months, which they considered to be good and competitive! I had to remind them of my high credit, and suddenly the interest rate lowered to 3.75%. When looking at the numbers, I noticed what started off as a $26,310 (MSRP) car, was now being charged at $33,000. I of course know and expected a few thousand more added one for license, registration, tax etc, but what absolutely blindsided me was an extra $3000 for dealer added upgrades, of which were mandatory for all vehicle purchases from Horne Kia. This included items that I didn't even want or need- tinted windows, a cargo net (for a whopping $150) and some specialized paint sealer just to name a few. Even with a pretty sizable down payment, this car was still out of my budget because of these unexpected, undiscussed fees. It's funny because numerous times, we were told that they were the only Kia dealership that sells cars for MSRP, but that's simply not true when at the end of the day, a mandatory $3000 fee is added to every vehicle on the lot for upgrades that not everyone wants. These upgrades are something that should be optional, not forced onto customers. If it wasn't for that, I would have driven away in a new car from their dealership. All is not lost though, as I went to a Kia dealer in Mesa, who offered me $25,000 for my trade in, and was able to get me in the Kia K5 GT (a higher model than the LXS I looked at, at Horne) for LESS money than Horne was charging per month. Funny enough, the dealership I bought from was talked so badly about by every single employee we talked to at Horne... maybe a scare tactic to earn more business? read more

Impossible to do a deal with this dealership. I had verified inventory and price before driving all the way to Gilbert from Midtown PHX to buy a car. As soon as they sit you down and show you what your payment is gonna be, you get "Bent Over"! They add $5,000. worth of dealer add ons that are smoke & mirrors and aren't willing to negotiate on them. Why does a new car need paint protection for $899, when it has a factory paint job? An additional $299. for dent/ding? Forced to pay $699. for window tinting? I'll take my car elsewhere if I want my windows tinted. The mysterious VTR (Vehicle Theft Registration) for $299. And floor mats for $199. (These are shipped with the car and should be included in the price If they're gonna charge me extra, they can keep them. I buy aftermarket all weather mats for my cars anyways). Another $599. In processing & documentation fee and a whopping $2,000. for Market Adjustment. All this in addition to the selling price of the car, license & tax. I gave them two opportunities on two different cars to make a deal. Even with $10,000 down and a qualified buyer with excellent credit, they were not willing to budge on any of the dealer add on fees, which most should be optional. In addition they are rude & condescending. They treat their customers as if they have no financial sense and what they are offering should make sense. She responded to all my questions quickly and honestly and went to bat to get me the best deal possible. I had my Kia Sorrento brought to Horne Kia in Gilbert, AZ for an oil change. There were a few items that needed to be fixed under warranty(engine mounts collapsed, lower control arms). Oil change and warranty items were completed and I received my vehicle back on Dec. 7, 2022. On Dec. 18, 2022 my vehicle died when exiting the freeway and check engine light came one. On Dec. 19, 2022 I had my vehicle towed to Horne Kia. With very minimal communication and me having to reach out constantly to get updates. Many test were preformed and on January 23, 2023 my vehicle was finally approved for a new engine. My vehicle has been with Horne Kia this entire time. On January 31, less than 24 hours after being told the engine arrived and the work began, the supposed repairs were completed and according to my service advisor, Josh Kirby, everything passed inspection. Upon picking up my vehicle I did notice minor wall damage on the inside back panel of the vehicle. I mentioned this to the service advisor who brushed it off and walked away. I completed a survey based on my experience being less than satisfactory and was called by Josh Kirby and SVC Mgr, Andre where they did not seem to care about my concerns. After some time driving the vehicle and things not sounding right. I wanted a second opinion and another set of eyes to look over the work. I took it to another authorized Kia Dealership where they found many things not completed, bolts missing, nuts not tightened, engine manifold bracket missing, splash guard missing and a destroyed serpentine belt that should have been replaced with the new engine. I tried to recoup my out of pocket cost for their terrible work and was told they did not have to. So let me save you, just don't bring it there. A judge even agreed that they did terrible work but because I did not bring the vehicle back to them for repairs, they didn't have to cover. WHY THE HECK WOULD I TRUST THEIR WORK AFTER THEY ALREADY FAILED ME. For the last few months I have been looking for a specific color and trim of the Sportage. It was a unicorn so to speak. I thought I found it at Horne but we couldn't make a deal. We were not able to get what we wanted from our trade. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise as it turns out that trim didn't have everything I wanted. Daniel the salesmen stayed in touch with me and when the exact trim and color came in he texted me. When we got to the dealership there was no extra mark up. Saw some dealers adding 3 to 5k on these models. We made a deal, without the trade (sold car at Carmax for what we wanted). It all worked out well! read more

This joint is Stellar from what we can tell! We've bee MBZ owners for 20+ years and this is Our 1st Kia. (2023 K5 GT) We've had it 1 month and came over from Southern Cal to visit parents. I noticed a clip missing from the driver side, rear tire well and didn't want to wait for the 6 month service and warranty it. Had time to kill so stopped in to visit parts. When pulling up, Marco greeted us and pretty much walked us to parts "listening" to our story of 1st time KIA owners. Man, this cat "has the game down" and is going far in the Company if He's a salesman....Not sure since He didn't try tell sell us anything and seemed to just want to help/listen. We get to parts and Bobby put the icing on the cake. He's got the patience of Job, got the $2.70 clip, explained "in detail" how to install it and also explained the plastic 14mm hex nut/washer that also holds the wheel wells on and why they're not meant to tighten down with a wrench. And "than" we cash out with the big sale with Paige and what a sweetheart! She even listened to our whole cherade! We sure hope our Dealer in Southern Cal is even close to the customer /we care service we had today in Gilbert! Awesome!! read more

If I could rate this car dealership with zero stars, I most certainly would. My initial contact was with Mr. Justin Hack, and I should have heeded the warnings from some of the reviews I had read about this dealership. First and foremost, his communication leaves much to be desired. You start working with him for a few days, and then he inexplicably hands you off to someone else, only to avoid you when you submit a credit application and get passed along to another person you don't even know. It's frustrating because you build trust in him, and then he vanishes without explanation. This experience was highly unprofessional. Enter the Internet Director Manager, AL Burton, who gets involved and proves to be even worse than Justin. As someone who values customer service and honesty, I provided Justin with details about my trade, even getting it appraised by their office, and they provided me with numbers, fully aware of the negative equity in my car. I was trying to get out of my current vehicle, and Justin told me that the EV6 had a magical $12,000 rebate that would cover my negative equity, which they knew about before running my credit. However, after that, they take days to respond, leaving you in the dark. I've purchased many cars in the past, and no one has treated me as poorly as this dealership. After a conversation with AL yesterday, he insisted that I come in to get a car, but I refused until the financing was finalized and the deal was secured. Then today, I received a call from Justin Hack with a rude tone, essentially telling me my credit is subpar, and the way he communicated with me was utterly disrespectful. His condescending tone was not appreciated, and it was clear he did not value my time or my concerns. I invested a significant amount of time speaking with Justin and this dealership, only for Justin to inform me that the General Manager's stance contradicted what AL had told me just the day before regarding my deal and the ability to work with my credit scores. They lied, ran my credit, and treated me poorly. I would strongly advise against dealing with Horn Kia. I will never recommend this dealership to my family or friends. I am a strong believer in reviews, and I will make sure to share my experience with everyone. As human beings, we are raised to treat others with respect. It's perplexing that I can secure a loan from Mercedes and Lexus under the same circumstances but not with Kia. Be cautious when dealing with this place, and I hope my experience was not influenced by racial bias, as I am prepared to escalate the matter to the Better Business Bureau if necessary. read more

The dealership advertised internet sales but then adds on overages that puts the price right back to where it started prior to the internet deal and then some. Our salesman seemed like a decent guy but was just way too comfortable in how he justified the BS he was selling me on behalf of the Horne KIA brass. I would give them a zero star if it was an option. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. The only person I recommend from this location is Michael Jackson, he was amazing. I bought a car 2/28/22. It was raining so I needed to come back to get the windows tinted, which was fine. We also noticed damage in the BRAND NEW car and let Jenny know immediately. She advised it would be fixed when I came back for the tint. (See screen shots below) I came back 3/8/22 for tint and told the gentlemen about the damage. He said It can't be fixed and he would have to submit all kinds of paperwork to get a replacement part. I was there over two hours and as I left, he stated he submitted everything and Jenny would call me. Weeks passed and I never heard from her so I reached out and they had NO idea what was going on. Nothing was orders and no notes. She stated she would have someone call me and look into and no one did. After multiple attempts to get a resolution, I was ghosted. So I called and spoke to parts who advised they did not see any orders. I then spoke with a sales manager who said he say notes about it and he would get a "we owe" order sent to Trenton and have Trenton call me when he got in. Well that was SIX days ago and neither Trenton nor the sales manager has called me back. I have chatted and texted multiple times and they said someone would call me and no one has. I then received a text from Jenny ( who originally sold me the car) and she blamed me for stating the car was damaged when I bought it. Which it was. I gave perfect scores on the survey and all I stated was the car had damage, which it did. She told me that because of me and my survey, she lost all her bonuses and made minimum wage. (Not sure how that is my problem) instead of helping fix her error: she blamed me. My issue is still not resolved. I have a preemie newborn (which Jenny knows when we bought the car and knows I do not have much time to keep coming back and forth to the dealership) I worked extremely hard to save up $20,000 cash as a down payment for a larger vehicle for my growing family, only to spend all that money on something that has damage. The damage is not large, but it's a brand new $48,000 vehicle and it should not have any damage that was not caused by me or my family. I strongly recommend you DO NOT buy a vehicle from here and if you do; I pray there is no damage or issues you need assistance with as the customer service is terrible. Update: they finally got their shit together and scheduled me to come in today to get the part replaced. I get here and 45 mins later they come and tell me the part was incorrect and they have to order the correct part and I need to come back in 7-10 business days to have it replaced. Again, a HUGE waste of my time. I live 30 mins away and have a newborn. Hours of my time wasted for nothing. read more

I went to test drive a 2022 car they gave us an online cash "out the door" price..   we get there and the guy gives a price offer over $5k to the eprice. I ask for items like maintenence,  pdr service be removed...etc. Salesman says can drop price by like $2k but things like dealer fees for the tint $699, pdr free removal for one year $299.. etc can not be removed. He could only remove maintenance package for $899 and all the other add ons stay on.  I showed him online eprice give. He said that was just an offer not a sale and it is up to them to accept the online offer in which they created the offer price. Salesman says "well I can knock off like $2k." Bringing us back to around the same $3500 of fees over the advertised msrp.  the salesman was nice but the whole transaction was a complete waste of time. 2 stars was given bc the salesman was nice vet the low score is for the entire process of the classic bait & switch pricing. Still on the hunt for a straightforward, non nonsense dealership that wants to make a cash sale this weekend. read more

I wanted to purchase a new Kia Niro. I requested a straightforward and fair transaction but it went south quickly. The salesperson (Barbara) assigned to me was responsive for our first interaction over the phone but then it took her hours to respond to me throughout the day. Here are the exorbitant charges this dealership expected me to pay. $899 for paint protectant $299 for VTR (I think this is for superfluous window etching) $699 for windows tinting $199 for floor mats $299 for VIP dent/ding Plus your standard doc fee. Not sure if "government fees" is standard but that is another almost $800. Then you have the taxes. I went with Carvana since that is more straightforward and I know what to expect. **I would NOT RECOMMEND HORNE KIA!** Went to buy my daughter a Kia Soul, last Friday. The vehicle was listed a little over 18000. Meet with the Internet Sales guy and told him we will be trading in a 2016 Ford focus and possibly putting 3000 down. We told him what we wanted our monthly payments to be. He said sure that would get us to the payment. He went back ran numbers and brought back Al Burton,the Internet Director who stated we needed an additional 2000 down as the price listed on the window of the vehicle did not include Kia factory upgrades totaling about 2500. So with taxes, documents fees, delivery fees and upgrades the price of the car would be a little over 24000. Putting us well over my daughter's monthly payment budget. It should be noted this would have been the 4th vehicle my family would have bought in the last two years from Horne Kia. Al was unwilling to work with us so we left. My wife found the same car at Tempe Kia for the same price of 18000. We went down to Tempe Kia and bought the vehicle and got the Platinum maintenance service package and still was in my daughter's monthly budget. I would NOT RECOMMEND HORNE KIA! DO NOT BUY HERE!!! The car originally must have been owned by a smoker and that was my biggest hold up with the purchase. Horrible...I recently had my car in to be serviced and had the WORST experience from start to finish. 1. I was first told that there would be a rental car for me while my car was being serviced. When I arrived and asked for a rental car they told me the person that took my call was an answering line and gave me incorrect info. I had to find a ride to a nearby rental company and pay triple what I would have paid had I reserved it days earlier. The rental car location was 3 miles away. They said their shuttle couldn't take me because it was more than 2 miles away....really?! 2. The part to repair my car was on backorder. I was told Kia may cover the rental car expense. After spending several hours with Kia and being told three different things, I still don't know if I'll be reimbursed for my week long rental car. 3. When I arrived to get the carseats out of my car to put in my rental car, my car was literally backed into another car! 4. My service advisor apologized for all of the issues but not once was I offered to speak to a manager. 5. As a long-term customer of 5 years you would think that would hold some value. It means nothing 6. I was attempting to purchase a new Kia from their sales team. They are even worse than the service department. They fail to respond and give false information. My wife and I were shopping for a car for our son. She had been in communication with multiple dealerships and been watching Car Fax and other apps for a few months. As we live in North Phoenix, we did not make it down to Horne Kia until yesterday. My wife received a text from a salesman there named Tony and we let him know we would be there today. Upon arrival, we asked for Tony and waited up front for him. He showed up and we shook hands. We told him we were there to see the Forte and the Rio. He walked us out to a car and he went over pricing. He explained that all the dealerships put the dealer add-ons into the price and you couldn't get rid of it. I told him that wasn't true. That in our search, some would negotiate that. He said no. All do it. Then we told him that we were basing our pricing based off $0 down over 60 mos so we could compare each dealer exactly the same then we would decide how much to put down when we signed. He said that by doing that, the interest rate would be higher. Again, I disagreed with him. I told him that no other dealer did that. Well that was it. He became very condescending and sarcastic and said cause yeah like I haven't been selling cars for 10 years. I replied with I'm sure you have but you can't speak for every other dealership in the valley. We have literally been to 10-12 dealerships in the past week you have no idea what they do. He basically told me to F off in so many words. What a complete a*#hole. I would NEVER buy a car from a dealership that employs people like this!! These guys are amazing, amazingly bad. After spend way too long working out a deal on a vehicle. Applying and getting approved and haggling on the price. Giving them my credit card information to make a $1,000 charge for the vehicle. All this working with the internet sales team. Before I can actually make it over to pickup the vehicle that's call to apologize that they "mistakenly" sold the vehicle. Shady and ridiculous don't accurately describe these guys. I knew the car sales business always had a slimy rep. but these guys are the model of shady business. I was reasonably upset and the finance guy calls me and says "I should be elated that I didn't make the trip over, that they saved me time coming down there!" I should be happy according to them. Wow. The single worst experience ever as a consumer. Stay far far away from this place. They greet you very politely and will do just about any underhanded thing possible with a smile on their faces. while Aaron who we first met with was friendly and helpful we found the vehicle we wanted. Then they sent in "the closer" this older middle eastern gentleman came and tried to be friendly. He did handshake a $4000 discount based on making us wait over 45miniutes to bring the vehicle over from their "other" lot. Once we sat down to discuss numbers he made a comment about the war in the middle east and how horrible it is. Knowing he was not from Israel I just listened. he presented numbers, we explained the items we did not want or need and he said at first "you can't take that off" then as we continued to question he said "in the state of Arizona we can't make you buy this" once we said take it off and shared our offer followed by asking for them to come back with their best offer. He returned saying "we can't make a deal" and then told us to leave. We were only $5000 apart. I can only say there was clear discrimination based on my religion. We did share this feedback with the showroom manager but they didn't seem to want to do anything other than say sorry. Your lot is overflowing and you want to sell cars, be willing to have conversation not tell the customer they have to purchase anything and tell people to leave. read more

My wife needs to buy a car. We are not in a hurry, but she will need something in the next 3 weeks. She has been looking and found some Kia Souls that she likes and the price was right. They were at Horne Kia in Gilbert. We make the trek to Gilbert from Scottsdale to check them out. We pull up and see one of the salespeople coming out the door to greet us before we are even out of our car. I could tell from watching this guy approach, "this is not going to go well". As you read on you will see, I was not wrong. He greets us and we go inside and tell him what we were looking at 3 different Kia Souls, a red one, a silver one and a gray one on their website. He tells us up front that they have none of those cars without checking the stock #'s we had for him. He comments he only has black ones, which we prefer not to buy. We walked out into the backlot in the middle of the afternoon, so he could check to make sure he had no additional Kia Souls. None were found. He immediately transitions into getting us into a Niro, a small hybrid SUV, that is substantially more, sticker $28.000. But he promises he can get us in this vehicle for $21,000 for a new unit. $4000 higher than the Kia Soul. He goes inside to get keys and comes back and we try opening several units, but the keys won't work on any of them. He eventually finds one that is open. We check it out and are very impressed with it. This might be an option at $21,000. We go inside to negotiate the price. We sit down and he asks are we going to buy today. The answer is maybe, but we really need to know the bottom line price. He tells us that unless we commit to buy today, he cannot give us the best price. I'm dumb founded by his answer. I repeat to him for clarification, "You are telling me that you cannot give us your best price unless, we commit to buy from you today". He firmly answered, "Yes, I've been doing this for 26 years and I know what I'm doing." He leaves the desk, goes to the sales manager's office and then presents us with a price that is the MSRP and a price tag of $28,000, not including title fee, taxes, doc fee, etc. I ask him where is the $21,000 price. He repeats, "unless you commit to buying today, we cannot give you the price." The question, one has to ask themselves, "how am I supposed to know if I want to buy it, if I do not know what the bottom line is?" I asked him about the price and he repeated the line, "unless you commit to buy today, we cannot give you the price." I posed this question to him, "Who is the customer in this transaction?" He told us that we were. I was glad that was cleared up. I asked again about the price and he wasn't budging. I looked at my wife and she looked at me and I said, "I think we are done here." She said, yes we are and we walked out. This has got to rank right up there as one of the worst customer service fails in my lifetime. I have been in sales, client services and managed client services for over 30 years. Trust me when I tell you, this is not nor does it resemble any attempt to have the best interest of the client at heart. We will never, I repeat, never buy from a Horne dealership. If they were the last car dealership on God's green earth, I would ride my bike first. read more
