Salesman promised a tonneau cover when we bought our pre-owned Sierra...they did try but it was totally deteriorated from another vehicle so he said he would search for another one, did not have time before our trip...you would think that would be worth at least a couple extra oil changes, spent $1200 on a new one, much better quality than the OEM so probably worth the aggravation and lost value. At closing, I asked the salesman and finance guy that my license plate application be expedited because I would be leaving the vehicle out of state for a few a months this summer. I followed up four weeks later and it was just submitted! Their excuse is that they had two title people leave the company...as they say, excuses are for losers and results are for winners. Initially I couldn't make an appointment online for a multitude of reasons, so I finally gave in to making a call. The lady that answered my call was very nice and understanding of my frustration with scheduling. Seems you can't schedule anything before 9 a.m. through their online system. She did get me an early appointment for an oil change but said I couldn't have one of the recalls rectified at that time because they were overbooked with recall work and scheduled it for more than a month later. Oil change 03/19 Non-Compliance Recall appt 04/29 - 1. Failed Brake Fluid Leak Detection Customer Satisfaction Program 1. Serial Data Gateway Module 2. Automated Driving Mapping Control Module Update Morning of scheduled service. Because my vehicle had been scheduled for an oil change my name was not in the system when I pulled in for service. Eventually I was informed that I was at the wrong place, oil changes were handled across the lot. Gentleman was kind enough to move my vehicle even though I said I could handle it. From a 7 a.m. appt I waited until about 7:45 for things to progress. I hadn't realized this until a gentleman approached me, maybe to confirm or make the connection between customer and vehicle. I had come in and intended on waiting for service to be complete. Eventually, Kyle was kind enough to call me and keep me abreast of what was going on and even asked if I wanted the recall(s) fixed (?) instead of waiting for the appointment that had been scheduled later in April. Kyle let me know my vehicle would be finished about noon and had offered to arrange transportation for me home and back when service was complete. So major kudos to him. And thank you to another gentleman who made the effort to get my vehicle where it needed to be. He connected with me while I was already in the lobby. Lobby here is chaotic with TV playing, overhead music, cars cruising in for service, and service technicians and customers coming in and out waiting area. I've been to other dealerships for service and this place would not be my first choice. read more

They kept my truck for 2 weeks and did not look at it at all after saying they road tested it to duplicate the issue ( mileage did not change)and gave it back to me ..and of course immediately it was making the same exact noise. My husband was looking for a new car but after a horrific experience at a certain dealer on Camelback Rd in Phoenix, we decided to keep looking. That brought us to Henry Brown in Gilbert and "Waggy"! We scheduled an appointment to see and drive a particular car at a specific day and time. When we arrived, the car we were interested in was washed and moved to the front allowing for easy access and viewing of the car. Waggy tossed the keys to my husband and said "take it for a drive"! No messing around with dealer plates or scrambling to get the car gassed up - AND - no pushy sales person talking your ear off from the back seat while showing you every cool thing on the car WHILE DRIVING! We took off, too about a 15 minute drive and came back to a very busy dealership. We chatted with Waggy for a short bit and ended up leaving so we could take some time to think through the purchase and said we would let him know and be back on Friday (which happened to be Black Friday). When we arrived on Black Friday the deal ship was even busier than it was 2 days ago! I never thought buying a car was one of the cool purchases for the holidays! But, Waggy was up on his game and had the car pulled up in front as if he knew when we would be there, despite no time being given. Again, he tossed us the keys and asked if we wanted to drive it again. SURE! We thought, just to make sure we were not riding on THIS positive experience considering the last dealership we went to was a hot mess! So, we drove it again, only this time I DROVE! We loved the car! Ended up buying the car! Henry Brown was as easy to work with as spreading soft butter on toast! No long hassles of going back and forth with the dealership. Took my car to get a simple oil change at the service department, my key fob was returned to me destroyed. Like it was run over. Had to make another appointment for them to make things right as they ordered a new key fob. Took my car back to get the key fob programmed. I got a call saying my new key fob was ready however the tech that moved my car swung the door open and hit another vehicle which caused damage to the drivers door. Telling me they were very sorry however glad he admitted to the damage. That was no consolation to me as I take such good care of my car. Long story short they had to repair that. I enquired about a used 2023 Denali, Rigo said to come on over and see the truck, but his partner Jose would help me out. After driving to the dealership, Jose was eating lunch and said the truck was in service. I asked how long I would have to wait and he didn't know. Rigo and Jose should have verified that the truck was available before telling a customer to come over. The next red flag for this dealership, Rigo said the price was $2000 higher than the price on Autotrader. Amazing, I hope this dealer doesn't survive what's coming in the year ahead. Ended up being a very expensive pair of sunglasses that are irreplaceable with the story behind them. So I contacted the dealership and was then told they throw everything away out of trade vehicles while getting cleaned out. Now I don't know about you but it takes almost NO effort to have a box of gotten items and call a customer you just had in a day or two prior to tell them they forgot something in the car and can come pick it up. But that didn't happen. I was even told that is happens all the time and they (the detailing crew) just throws everything away they find. Most commonly being garage door openers. A simple call saying we forgot our glasses would have earned a customer for life. I bought my wife a brand new GMC Yukon from them three years ago, shelling out a whopping $91,000 in cash--no financing hassles, just straight payment for what was supposed to be a reliable luxury SUV. From day one, it's been a nightmare of mechanical failures, constant repairs, and zero accountability from the dealership or GMC itself. With less than 30,000 miles on it (we barely drive the thing because it's always breaking down), it should be in pristine condition, but instead, it's been in the shop non-stop. I've been a customer of this location for over 10 years. I've always had Blake as a sales rep, and he's amazing. But this review is for the service department. They're total garbage, no respect for people's time. I waited 30 minutes outside my car for service rep Wes, while apparently he took his morning sh*t. I made an appointment and everyone kept saying "sorry he's in the garage talking to managers" or "he's been in the restroom". Eventually at around 20 minutes I had to grab someone and ask for anyone to go find him or find me someone else. I was literally just trying to drop my car off for an appointment. I still Couldn't get a clear answer on where Wes was. After 30 minutes another sales rep said "can I help you?". This isn't the first poor experience I've had with the service department here. UPDATE: hundred dollars for something that wasn't even done. When I told them that Wes called me on the phone to say my car was ready and I told him I didn't wanna do anything to my car and he said it would be $59 to have the car looked at. I said OK when I picked up my car they tried to charge me $200. I said nothing was done. He said OK let me just change the paper. So he would've let me pay the $200 knowing that no service was done to my car. If you want to buy a car, go see Blake. If you need services on your car, go elsewhere. read more

I dropped it off the evening before so they would be able to get right on it. Received a call the next morning that the car would not be looked at until Friday. No rentals available. Tried calling for a status report on Wednesday and got no return call. Finally heard back on Thursday and the car would not be looked at until the following Tuesday. My journey to get to this review is long and honestly boring so I'll keep it shorts as possible. Bought a 2022 Sierra SLT Baby Max a year ago.. It has been nothing but one problem after another. I've had to get multiple rental cars and be without for several weeks.. This last go around, the truck needs a transmission module and GM has no ETA and no information as the part is on a nationwide backorder. I waited 2 weeks and realized this could take months. Started talking with Luz in sales and after 3 visits and several days of texting and phone calls, she got me into a New 22 Sierra Denali baby Max. She put up with a lot and I know at times I got her a little flustered but she worked hard and put up with my indecisiveness and gave me a good experience. I do feel HB could and should have done more to help me with my situation though. They would not budge on trade and stood very firm on the small discount provided. Given the situation I was in, definitely felt they could have stepped up more, especially on a brand new truck that was aging on the lot.. What an absolute joke. What's the point of offering an appointment system? This is not the first time HB couldn't be bothered to provide a timely inspection, this time on what I believe is just a minor engine belt/pulley issue. I've gone to Earnhardt the previous time HB dropped the ball, and will again this time. They seem to be able to handle typical service requests just fine. Update: Dropped off today at Earnhardt with no appointment. Will have the vehicle back fully inspected and the oil changed same day. read more

My regular service tech Pete, who was a rock star, moved on to greener pastures so I've had a new service tech for the last few visits, and I am not impressed to say the least. Previously he would take the time to ask questions. If something came up we would talk about it and get it resolved, and usually in the same day. The last few times I've been there I felt like I was troubling my service tech when I asked her questions as she briskly tried to move me along. When I did have inquiries I was pretty much assured everything was fine or told that anything beyond an oil change would have to be scheduled out at another time because they are just too busy now. I get it, they're busy. But I am a customer right? And a damn good one if I do say so myself. I also live in Florence, so it's a two hour turnaround trip for me, so not being able to fix issues they find without making additional trips irritates the heck out of me. The only reason I know what's going on with my car now is that I read the service paperwork they give me once they're done with it, not because she tells me anything after the visit beyond where the cash register is. So when I booked my appt I was able to say the last time I was here it was noted my brakes may need attention soon, can we take another look at them. I was reassured they were fine, but by the time I got home my front brakes were squealing, which they were not doing BEFORE I dropped it off. Maybe they adjusted them too much? And an hour later my front headlight stopped working. I'm sure it's just a coincidence of course. The takeaway here is why should I pay a premium for service at a dealership if I feel like I'm just getting rushed in and out? I could get the same oil change for twenty dollars at any lube shop in town. I took my Acadia to a different shop to get the headlight fixed and now I'm going to have to take it somewhere else to have the brakes checked again to see why they are squealing all of a sudden. I am pretty brand loyal which is why I've been making the 100 mile round trip drive to have them service my vehicle since I purchased it there. At the same time I'm not going to keep going back if I feel the communication and service is lacking. So I guess it's time so find a new dealership to give my money too which shouldn't be too hard since they opened up a new Jeep dealership down near San Tan. read more

Worst possible purchase experience. One star is much too highly rated. I closed on a GMC Canyon Denali with Henry Brown Buik GMC in Gilbert Arizona on October 7. It was an internet sale and Henry Brown Buick/GMC couldn't figure out how to deliver it. After waiting over 2 weeks, I had to drive 400 miles, miss a day out of the office, and meet a 3rd party to receive the vehicle with no chance to refuse delivery. The fun began immediately. Only one key fob and key was included. $150 cost to me. (They claim they are not responsible and it was the fault of the previous owner.) Apparently no one from their service or sales department had ever bothered to get in the vehicle and actually turn on the key. No service had been done to the vehicle. I had to change the oil and top off all fluids. $89 cost to me. The low tire signal was on. There was a wire in one of the tires. I had to pay to repair it myself. $26 more. The "Service 4WD" warning was on. I've had to take it to a GM certified shop two different times and be without a vehicle for two days. It still works sporadically. A third stop is currently in process and the shop has had to keep it two days. Finally the GM shop replaced the control module AND the transfer case actuator. In addition, the vehicle was filthy on the inside with the added bonus of smelling like dog. The windows were covered with dog slobber. It cost me $300 to have it cleaned and still another day without a vehicle. I was sold an Auto Butler account for $399. There are no Auto Butler franchises in the state of Colorado. I was told there is a state of the art $799 aftermarket security system called IKON on the vehicle. Two weeks after purchase I got a link to a cheap $35 app. I was told that the windows were tinted, and door edging was installed for $499. They were not. The dealership and sales staff, all claiming to be managers, Rob Upchurch, Tim Tracy, Vicki Willis, and Dwayne Champion, were totally unresponsive--not returning calls or responding to emails . Finally, they sent me a gift card ("Let me buy you lunch to earn back your trust) and a check for $150 to cover half the cost it took to clean the vehicle up. Eventually they sent me half of what it cost to clean up the vehicle and money for the window tinting and door edging that did not happen. The expectation seemed to be, "if we pay you money, only in part, for all the possible services we should have provided, you should be satisfied." Do not do business with this business. They cost me over 2 Grand out of pocket and 5 or 6 days without a vehicle or out of the office. read more

Made an appointment to have a check engine light on my 22 Canyon. When I made then appointment the first available appointment was 1 week away. I show up to the dealership the day of my appointment and the service writer greeted me and told me that they could not get to my truck for two weeks. He said he would check the code, and I could bring the vehicle back in two weeks. After checking the code, he suggested that we leave it, because it had a misfire. I asked about a loaner vehicle, because my truck was going to be out of service for two weeks. The service writer told me they had not cars available. I told him I couldn't be without a car for two weeks. He said he would ask his manager about a rental car. Short time later, he returned and said he arranged a rental car. So we left the truck and headed to the rental car place. Fast forward to a week and a half. I called the service department to inquire on my vehicle. I got passed to a voicemail so I left a message inquiring about my truck. Never received a call back. The next day, same thing no call back unknown what is wrong with my truck. The third day, I called again with no response. About an hour later I get a text, saying truck is done. I text back what was wrong with the truck and got a text that made no since. I drive to the dealership to pick up my truck. When I get there my service person was busy, so another person helped me. I asked him about my truck and he couldn't tell me what was wrong. I asked for a receipt, to see what they did. The service guy said they have to settle up the rental car with the rental company and a receipt would be mailed to me. It's been two weeks, no receipt. Truck is fixed, but I never got an answer as to what was wrong. When I purchased my truck at Henry Brown, I kind of got the feeling that they didn't care about their customers. As I looked online, I found Jordan Smith online where he told me to come on down to look at the truck. I found time to come down to the dealership where I was greeted by Jordan, he was super helpful, nice and respectful. He expressed interest in my concerns and wanted to help out the best he could. I found a truck I fell in love with, 2023 GMC Sierra with 19,000 miles on it. Jordan told me it was a great truck and had no issues with it, he told me the previous truck owner traded it in to get something more new at that time. Fast forward a year today and I feel I was mislead and lied too. Since purchasing the truck, I've had to take my truck in 3 times to either Henry brown or to Coulter GMC in Tempe. All for the same issue. The electrical screen blacks out preventing you to see anything, it cuts off phone calls, the back up camera stops working, the screen will flicker from app to app and it makes for a very unsettling feeling as a new truck owner. As I start the truck each time, I hear a rattling noise, almost as if my muffler is not secured causing it to bounce up and down or hit something. My truck since Ive had it in the year, I've placed a 3" level kit on it and side steps/rails, I've had every intention to keep it as I've added more features and spent money on it. When I purchased the truck it has 19000 miles on it, to this day it has sat in my garage for my weekend pleasure and now has 23000 miles on it. I don't like this truck, every time I drive it, I'm scared to see if another problem arises. I baby my trucks and take pride in all my trucks as I'm an Avid truck owner. Today 01/16/2025 I dropped my truck off at Henry browns to have the screen looked at again. I was told because I made an online request, they would need to hold my truck for 10 days. This makes it really hard to deal with Henry Brown and the customer service or lack of that I've received. Instead of offering to take care of me, Jordan wanted to see if I'd be interested in trading my GMC truck in for something else. To be honest I am scared to purchase another vehicle from your dealership. So I will tell all my co-workers, family and friends how I got screwed over by Henry Brown off ValVista and the 202. Additional repairs: March 30 2024 Henry Brown May 30th 2024 Coulter GMC July 8th 2025 service Henry Brown November 12th service Coulter GMC I have provided the documents to Jordan and his manager to show proof of each service appointment I had. After speaking to Jordan and his manager, they stated due to the market when I purchased, my truck is not valued what I paid and they would not be willing to eat the cost for the vehicle. He then said It was my responsibility that I did not to reach out to him sooner. I informed him that I did not know I would be running into the same issue a year later after the first two visits. They said they won't make any money off my vehicle. I honestly thought they would own up to their mistake or work with me on at least giving me a closer value to what I purchased the vehicle for. It is still covered under warranty, however after taking my truck in 4 times my thought is this could occur again outside warranty and then I'm screwed with a truck that the dealership couldn't work with me because they did not want to lose money. I could have chose any other dealership to purchase my vehicle at but I chose Henry Brown and now I regret my decision. Hope this helps anyone looking to buy a used vehicle from Henry Brown.
