We had a good experience working with Tad at Horne Motors. Bought a used Honda Pilot that seems to be in great shape. We did our due diligence and got the CarFax report, and also took it to our trusted mechanic for an inspection. There were a couple small issues that the mechanic thought might need to be dealt with in the coming year, but nothing that was a dealbreaker for us or that we would have expected a used car lot to repair prior to selling. As there is no built-in warranty, I don't know why you would agree to buy a car "As Is" without doing your own vetting...come on people. We were a little surprised by all the Add Ons mentioned in other posts, but I understand that advertising the lowest price is how all the used car lots function. Also, in fairness, the Add Ons WERE on the window sticker, all 4 of us had just failed to notice them. (Facepalm) I will update this review if the Honda Pilot we purchased ends up exploding, but I don't think it will. read more

Grandson parked the vehicle and it left a puddle of oil from just sitting overnight. He took the car back and they sent him to a repair shop that was not affiliated with the dealer. Car was not repaired and Had to make phone calls to the higher ups because the sales people just said its not their problem. The contract has a written warranty .Long story short, its a used car lot. Have been promissed that the car will be fixed and it would have been ok had they just took care of the problem right away. read more

When you are trying to do something nice for a 80 year old man and get him a more reliable mode of transportation and the dealer scams you with a 6K car and charges you 11K. I made the mistake of thinking this man was a honest sales person giving me a good deal. Not feeling i needed to check him for a scam. This is a bad place to buy a vehicle. They are dishonest and have no problem taking more then they should. Avoid this place and be sure to do your research. I didn't and it cost me. We did find a 2013 Honda Odessey that we really liked but we could tell was beat up a bit but figured what we really needed was a good running vehicle, honda. are typically good engines. I do not recommend coming here to purchase a vehicle. They put a hard check on my credit for no reason because your credit doesn't actually matter with their in-house financing. Everybody gets 22% no matter what they also add a service agreement for $1800 also no matter what. I had more than half down to purchase. Brad told me several times with putting over half down I would have 100$ payments . Then he went and got a manager who came adding extra things to make the car almost 3000 more . Originally rated the a 4 to 5 for ease and customer service now really questioning the integrity of this company. Purchased a truck with warranty. One week later the vehicle has major issues that could not have been missed or just now showing up. Took the vehicle in and was told we couldn't use the warranty for one month or it would void it. Guess this means that it makes them look bad. Sales guy said to take it to another place to get fixed using warranty instead of their authorized Ford dealership. I call this passing the buck of what looks like known problem on to the warranty company and then putting the customer at risk for the warranty loss. Manager said he was going to try and make it right by buying back the vehicle but we would have to purchase another one...most likely more expensive. Do they think we are dumb? I was attracted to Horne Motors due to the pricing of their vehicles which were typically slightly below Kelly Blue Book Fair Market Range for vehicles purchased from a dealer. I found a 2014 Toyota Corolla with KKB Fair Market Range $8942 - $10,713 priced at $8800 on the Horne Motors website so it looked like I was going to get a good deal. The car had a dead battery but, after they jump started it, the car drove well on the test drive. I decided I wanted to purchase the vehicle. When we sat down to work the numbers, the sales rep told me that the cost would be $9800 unless I financed with one of their preferred lenders. Presumably this disclaimer is shown somewhere on their website but I did not see it (see website screenshot). They ultimately agreed to give me the $8800 price but I was shocked by the out-the-door cost of $11,700+. I wasn't willing to do the deal. There are four items that are "standard" dealer charges every buyer should be aware of if buying a car from Horne Motors. Smart Shield: $799 Window Tint: $699 Data Dot: $299 Doc Fee: $299 If you are willing to pay these extra fees, you may want to do business with them. It wasn't worth it to me. read more

I bought my vehicle from this location literally in 2 days will be only 5 months. My loan thru credit acceptance and they had me purchase an extended warranty. My car last week as of today overheated for no reason and now the engine won't start. I called Horne motors and the first guy I talked to wouldn't even let me talk to explain what happened and if they could help. He quickly gave me the number to my loan place and the warranty place and didn't want anything to do with helping me. I feel like I bought a lemon because no way my vehicle should have overheated in just under 5 months. I will tell everyone I know never to buy a vehicle from this location! They have horrible customer service and don't want help their customers when they should have done a thorough inspection of vehicles before they sell them. My c vehicle is at a repair shop because it now has a HOLE in one of the pistons! How the hell does that even happen?!? I drive to and from work and to my daughters once a week so I'm not driving it crazy. In my opinion don't waste your time with this place! read more

Beware, the Internet price is only if you use THEIR financing, which is significantly higher than the listed amount. I understand tax/title/but they also make YOU pay for add ons THEY already had done and "can't take it off." A $11,000 car was actually $16,000. Granted they did try to work with us and get that price down but it was no easy feat. I get it, they are car salesman that's what they do. After applying for their financing we were told we had to put $3,000 down on a $13k car with over 100,000 miles. We also had to call THEM to see where we stood with the application because there was zero communication on their part. We went elsewhere and had a good experience and got a MUCH better deal. I went to this place for a car that I had communication about a day or so prior, granted my situation is pretty unique, I let the dealer know everything I was trying to accomplish. I just needed a car. I was very upfront and asked if $1500 down on a car selling for $9000 was able to be completed. I had a copy of my credit pull from a prior dealership so there was no need to pull my credit. I understood completely that if I wanted a car then there would need to be a verification of my credit but I didn't want to pull it until the car was picked and everything was solidified. Since I had my credit report already in hand it made things easier because they could see what was there already. I had a sense of comfort knowing it was able to be solidified based on the information given by the dealer before hand, huge mistake. I was advised by Gary that this was able to be done without any problems at all, advised that the interest would be high which is fine with me and so I test drove the car and the car-fax was printed out and everything. I went to sit at the desk to "I thought fill out paperwork for the car" but after a couple minutes was then told that I needed $2500 down for the payment. I was very clear on what I had and what I could do way before Even going to the dealer and asked what happened to that guarantee of $1500 down? I was told that wasn't possible now. After asking what happened to the original agreement & even after confirmation that they specialize in "buy here pay here" was asked if I could come up with $2000 which I said was a stretch but possible. I was then told they needed to check with the owner and would have an answer by Monday since it was late Saturday afternoon at that time. I have waited and now it is Tuesday with no call or anything. My income is 4x the amount of the payment regardless of what it would have been which was also quoted before hand. My credit was 710, 2 months ago before all of these horrible things happened and was 441 when I walked in. Now it is 410 with all the credit hits they added with a empty promise they failed to deliver. This is extremely frustrating, I went from a 2018 Lexus w/ 0 down APR of 4% to a dealer that is not even able to guarantee a $9000 Scion with 20% down which is supposed to be a "buy here pay here" I hate writing these type of reviews but I feel many dealers don't understand how much they effect ppl by the empty promises they say to their customers. And dinging someones credit on that empty promise is pretty much kicking them while down. I have paid off 4 cars in total, all financed in the past 4 years paid off in full 1-1.5 years of a 5 year term each and you are going to say you want 40% down on a car that is selling for $9000 with over 100,000 miles on it. I am ok with the car the miles and the payment just get me into the car that you promised so I am not left walking. Don't promise things unless you can deliver. I would think especially In these uncertain times a dealer of all entities would want to keep their reputation in good standing.. communication is key to success and transparency is linked directly to honesty. read more

This should have been the easiest sale ever And they screwed it ip! I bought the car and used the Capital One financing that I already had established. In the last 3 weeks Ive received 3 letters from other financing companies saying they had checked my credit. These guys are shady. Apparently they must get incentives from these other financing companies or something. Trash establishment. DO NOT work with Alfredo / Fred! It's definitely illegal to tell a customer to use their warranty to fix pre existing conditions. Fred was very unprofessional. He and the shop there lied & hid what was known to be wrong with the car. I'm now deal with all type of issues from rumbling to whole wiring issues. Bought a Honda here 3 years ago and was told over and over about their "197 point inspection" They need to add another 197 Checks A Honda keep in mind with under normal mileage. 3 years later: Replaced AC Unit, Replaced Brakes and Rotors which were under specs when I bought the car but I was told differently; replaced battery, alternator and starter. I have owned several Honda's, my last went 300,000 miles and is still going. This has 113,000 which is broken in for a Honda and has been nothing but problems. We had a fast and easy car buying experience at Horne. We never felt high pressure sales. All employees involved in our purchase were courteous and professional. However, the car we bought has a huge oil leak, even though we were told the inspection report showed no problems. Unfortunately our son was already driving it back to college in another state (three days after we purchased it) when his oil light came on. If he turned around and came home, it would have been more than the 1,000 mile warranty. We contacted Horne, but they wouldn't do anything and just said the report was clean. Clearly it wasn't so I would not trust their reports. My son now has to put about a quart of oil a week into his car. Don't believe the internet price. I went to pay cash for a car advertised on the internet at 6900. After talking to salesman found out they add another 3000 to the price. The salesman said this is on there internet add and I did find it. It's on the bottom right where they write taxes and then dealer add on. The add on is window tint, some blue dot thing and something called smartshield. Nothing you probably need or want. Save the drive not worth your time. read more
