Came in here for a jack n coke and ended up with a jack n joke. It had about half a shot in there. Basically paid six dollars for a coke. I guess i came there on a good day, the vibes were chill, everybody was super warm and friendly, from the bartender to the customers. But they discriminate against young faces. I'm 23, but apparently look under age. Aside from that mishap, i guess it was a good time. Cool place to play pool; just disappointed to hear so much about there "dirty" drinks just to be surprised with a clean one. I'll definitely give it another try and hope for the best. Just a tip tho, this is obviously a country-music-vibe kind of bar. I believe they have a juke box, but I'd keep the country/rock n roll vibes acoming if i were you. I'm not a biker and I doubt I'll ever be a biker. I'm very much into personal grooming, personal cleanliness, and certain levels of refinement. I've never been a fan of the dive bar. Folks, the Horseshoe Lounge is the definition of a dive bar. I don't know what possessed me to stop in here last Friday night. Well, I actually do know...I haven't Yelped in a while and I was very much overdue. The interior of the lounge is comprised of many odors; each one leaving an indelible mark on your soul. I stayed for one drink--a Crown on the rocks. The funny thing is, it didn't taste like Crown Royal at all. It tasted very much like an iced tea-infused whiskey. The even funnier thing about it was that I was kind of expecting it. But I stay loyal to my brands and I paid for it that night (in more ways than one). Nino is quite wrong. The horseshoe is a dive and I love it because of such. The people that work there are awesome. Martin is an awesome owner, the wait staff is great, and so are the customers. If you dont like dives, dont come in. If you like a stiff drink at a good price and meeting good people, stop by. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! My boyfriend and I started coming to this "pool hal"/ Bar a couple weeks ago because the pool tables are cheap & the atmosphere was laid back...untill TONIGHT!! I don't drink alcohol & my boyfriend occasionally had a beer but no hard alcohol. I ALWAYS carry a water because that's all I drink & this places water taste like ASS! The "Manager/Bouncer" came outside while we were having a cigarette before going in & was OBVIOUSLY under the influence of Alcohol. She stated that we are NOT allowed to bring any outside food or beverages inside. I had just purchased a water which was sitting next to me UNOPENED. We apologized, took a gulp & put it in the car. Well, the bartender saw & told her I was drinking something so when we came inside she aggressively got in my face and said we are NOT allowed to come in and they are not going to serve us. The woman started saying they do NOT make minimum wage & work for tips and that my boyfriend doesn't tip but she is only telling us this because she is "off duty" I've been to this bar before and I've purchased water bottles from the bartender so I went directly over to her to address the misunderstanding & she apologized she didn't realize it was us and we were allowed to be there. But this woman was obviously too intoxicated to reason with. This manager sat with a few customers and continued drinking so the bartender went to talk to her to make sure it was okay for us to the be at the establishment and not get harassed by her and she said we would have to pay $40 hours for the table & not come on weekends. I decided it would be best not to support that type of behavior. When I ask the bartender who the manager was that I could have dressed this with at a later time she said that this lady was it and the owner rarely comes in. I tried to call to get the manager's name and of course no one answered the phone and it went to a fax machine. We have no problem following the rules we never caused any issues it was a personal attack on us because she was mad we didn't tip her for yesterday one beer. And the only reason we purchased that beer is because she said the pool tables are for paying customers only. I'm super pissed & now at shooter's in Riverside where I will gladly pay the money not to deal with people like you employ. read more

Ok, the thing is, I love dive bars. But this place is way too far from that. It's dingy and dirty. It's definitely a locals bar, which is ok because I'm a local. Everything is outdated and falling apart. The bartender has a heavy hand which I normally wouldn't mind, but I couldn't even drink the drink. There's an offensive claw machine filled with porn and posters of women. The bathroom is the equivalent of a dirty port-a-potty and the lock on the single restroom is unreliable. The stools are uncomfortable. There's dark corners of the bar that you can't even see. I wouldn't walk into them anyways. I've been here a few times due to the fact that it's the only local bar around. I decided last night will forever be my last. They don't know how they tap the Coors light keg. Either the beer is old, watered down, or they don't clean the hoses. It's the worst Coors light I've ever had. Unfortunately, it's been bad every time I've been in there. They leave the door open so that the smoke from the smokers flows inside. I'm a smoker myself and this bothers me. Some nights it's so loud that you can't even carry a conversation. The bartenders are always nice, which is the only good thing about this place. I do not recommend EVER going here. read more
