Found this highly recommended seafood restaurant on Yelp so we thought we'd give it a first time try. Restaurant has lunch and dinner hours so we went for dinner. Opens at 4:30pm so we arrived at 4:05 pm. We're so glad we did because there was already a line starting at the door with about 30 people already waiting. We took our place in line and waited for the 4:30 opening. Promptly at 4:30 we were seated at our turn to enter. Drinks were served by Courtney, our pleasant, friendly server with a great smile. The family owned restaurant was clean but smaller compared to the other huge seafood restaurants in the area. We ordered small plate of flounder (2) fillets, baked potato, slaw and a 3 item small combo with large (5) shrimp, scallops (3) and oysters (5) fries and a house salad. Complimentary hush puppies fresh out of the fryer. Probably some of the best fried seafood we've had in a long time. Seasoned great, hot but not a bit greasy as most fried foods. We ordered the small plates and it was a perfect portion for us. We didn't have any leftovers and filled with a great meal. We will come back and just remember to get there early.

I know this is a local favorite and there is generally a line around the building. This is a usually a sign of excellence. I don't know... it was just ok to me. A little pricey for the seafood. Yes, I know I am at the beach but this appeared to be a total local hangout. I will say the service was fantastic but the food was nothing to write home about. Not bad just not great. Maybe try for yourself and I will read your review

Small seafood combo with Flounder, scallops, shrimp and oysters. Quick service, delicious food and reasonable priced for the area.

absolutely a must for anyone going to N Myrtle Beach. Go early as the line forms quickly. Fresh, delicious food and super friendly and fast service.

We came here around 9 AM on a Sunday morning. Luckily there was no weight. The kids enjoyed the kids menu for coloring service was prompt and attentive. My veggie omelette and hashbrowns were pretty good. I absolutely love the biscuits. My son was disappointed with the grits, but I think he's just used to eating creamy grits back home. They absolutely love the pancakes and thought they were fluffy and delicious. We will definitely come back again.

This was the second time that we have visited this place and we love it! It's the type of place you go if you want to eat like a local. Although it's not going to be empty-you're going to have to wait! Both times we have been in the line along the road, but it's mostly covered and it's not bad, as it keeps moving quickly. This most recent time we had my parents with us and my dad cannot stand in line for long periods of time and no one said a word about him staying in the vehicle and then hopping in line with us when we made it to the front. There was also a large bench out front at the door that he could sit on while we waited the last few minutes to get in. The workers are always so friendly and the food comes out hot, fresh, and most of all GOOD! This time I had the BBQ sandwich and it was huge and so yummy! I paired it with a sweet potato and it had white slaw, which was fine. I work in Lexington, NC (the "BBQ Capital of the World, haha) so I was expecting red slaw. Didn't change my opinion, though. It was GREAT! My husband had the shrimp cocktail appetizer and commented how great it was, too. My dad had BBQ like me and my mom had a cheeseburger and said it was better than any of the other places we had eaten that week! It's a cozy and down-home feel when you are here. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Went at lunch on Halloween-there was the usual line at the door but it moved quickly. The service was outstanding-she was personable, attentive, and funny-and it was her birthday! My mom and I both got the fried chicken, salad, and turnip greens. She got the fries which were hot and crisp and lightly battered. I got the baked potato which was hot and steaming. We both loved the fried chicken which was made to order-juicy inside and crisp and flavorful on the outside. We both loved the turnip greens (and I'm not a vegetable fan!). They had pieces of diced turnip and were tender and flavorful and not at all bitter. The only knock is that the lettuce had seen better days-we both had brown lettuce. The dressings were delicious, though. We thought we were supposed to get rolls but no big deal. The place is clean and full of locals! We both took home half of our meal and will be back soon!

Food is excellent and affordable! We ordered a dozen fried oysters , clam chowder, Tuesday dinner specials: fried chicken, mac & cheese, peas , bread and corn, and chicken fingers with sweet potato.for our dessert we had decaf , and key lime pie.service is good. The restaurant is great!

House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. It was a very busy, early evening however we still got sat very quickly-- almost to the minute of the hostess' estimation. We were taken to the back and got sat next to a great view of the water. I had a margarita, which was fine and the table started with fried pickles. I'm lactose intolerant and I didn't want to ask the server if the batter had dairy (more on that later). Everyone got something different except for the sushi and entree I shared with my son. My daughter had a Chicken Caesar Salad and for her 16 years she said it might be the best she's had. And y'all this girl loves her a chicken caesar salad. My hubby got a rainbow roll and I'm pretty sure the fried flounder under "Southern Fried Favorites". He thought the flounder was really good. I ordered the lump crab cakes and it was delicious! The rice was amazing and green beans were on point. No critiques there. I couldn't finish it all because it's filling but OMG it was so good. And here's where things go downhill... partially. They have no business serving sushi. The rice was mushy, flavorless and none of the fish tasted fresh. Like I said, my son and I shared, a rainbow roll, spicy tuna and an order of salmon sashimi and it all tasted freezer burned. The sashimi was cut poorly so it made it tough which a cardinal sin, and there wasn't enough soy sauce in the world to save the flavor. I'm from Cali and have had a lot of sushi, good and bad. I make it at home (in SC) with store-bought sashimi grade sushi and mine from home is better. Maybe for the "south" it's good but it definitely fell well below what you'd expect from even a mediocre sushi place. And our server sucked. She looked and acted like she could have cared less to be there, seemed bothered, and slammed my drink down on the table because she seemed preoccupied. And look, I get that it could have been a bad day for her. But my tip fatigue has me frustrated that even with bad service from a waiter we're still expected to tip what, 20%?? She did not deserve it. Y'all there was four of us-- two adults and two teenagers. We aren't high maintenance. Yet I was hesitant to ask too may questions for fear of being an annoying table because from our first interaction with her she was already clearly annoyed. And I didn't want my food spat in because I asked one too many questions. Again I'm lactose intolerant, and I need to be certain I'm not eating dairy. And if something has dairy I will order something different, simple as that. The rest of the meal was great and overall it was a pleasant experience. But this is likely a one-and-done for us.

I tried a few other items that were just okay, nothing super standout, but for a buffet the quality of the crab legs alone made it worth it.
