This place is underrated. I highly recommend this spot for late night dining. We visited on a whim because we noticed a lot of patrons dining within their outdoor patio area and the intriguing menu items were reasonably priced. Service charge was only 2.50 euro pp during our visit. Service was unexpectedly friendly, quick, and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for all of our food and everything was quite tasty! I forgot what everything we ordered was precisely called, but we enjoyed our seafood pasta, mussels and clams dish, and tiramisu. read more

Trying to get out of the busy tourist areas for some food, we found this place. The menu was posted at the entrance and it looked good. We took a table in their large patio and got down to business. Drinks and bread were brought to our table. Very fresh bread! We were in Venice, so we obviously got pasta and pizza. I had Gnocchi. It was a good portion and the sauce was tasty. Very savoury, very tomato-y, very good! I was stuffed. All of the pasta portions were about the same. The personal pizza was the size of the plate. A good amount of toppings and the crust was crisp. Service was good, there was always someone close and they all spoke English. Food didn't take too long. The bread basket was very fresh. I'd go back here again. It had a great atmosphere and one of those menus that made it hard to choose. read more

First night in Venice... and we were walking to find a place to eat and and found Galileo with an incredible patio sitting in beautiful small plaza. Food was delicious and prices very affordable. We would definitely come back again! read more

The waiters were not the most friendly bunch. We were lost getting to our hotel and stopped here to use their wifi. Yes, of course we knew we had to pay for wifi, but I didn't know we were required to order food. Anyways, ended up ordering a beer, fries, and mussels. Turned out pretty great. Good location. Wifi was a bit slow and went in and out but we were able to find our way to our hotel thanks to it. Not mad at all. read more

The caprese salad had tomatoes that weren't ripe, the mozzarella was the only decent part. Sad to say the start of this meal really set the tone. I ordered the tagliatelle scampi e zucchini and it was bland as all get out. Why god why in Italy!?! We were wondering around late night and hungry and this place just looked beautiful, as it was out in a little piazza. I think the best part of the meal was watching two cute cats wander around on the balcony above our table. read more

I would give them -0- stars if possible. I would eat my hand before coming back here. In a town with fresh seafood and priding itself on a heritage based on that...the mussels and clams were luke warm when served and underwhelming. Tiny clams not even visible in most cases... The pizza was disgusting frozen crust that i could have used as a Frisbee. we could not even cut it. the bread served with my clams was spare crust pieces that were probably broken off and used as sides for their dishes. bread basked was generic fare that i should have fed the pigeons. the restaurant has no charm.....bland like the food. the only think this place was good for was giving us respite from a major rain storm.....and then i got soaked on the way home so....it was a bust all around. read more

This place may have gotten 2.5 stars in another town, but in Venice you have to grade on a curve. Pizza was OK+ but the carbonara, bread, bruschetta, and everything else was meh. The wait staff was nice however. read more

Lastly when we asked for check and we found a charge in Italian which we did not understand. We asked the waiter about this charge, it happened to be service charge which we totally understand and paid it without any complaining. However when we left the restaurant, one of the waiter told us "Madam you know this is Venice" which implied that it is normal for this charge here but might not be applicable where I am from. I consider this as a discrimination and impolite. From my travel experience, I accept to follow rules of places. I respect how people are and I expect the same from them. I have never met this circumstance before. How rude they treated to us, I will never go back or use the service from this chain ever again. read more

I thought the food was fine - seafood seemed fresh and I believed it was local and decently cooked. What was bad was the service - they were overly attentive and annoying, like they were all vying for tables and tips or something. We were seated near where there were 4-5 waiters just waiting to pounce on tables. I had to tell one waiter 2-3 times to give us more time to talk about what we wanted. Sheesh! The exact opposite of the slow service of Italy, which is MUCH prefer! read more
