Ok so I was rear ended a few weeks ago and I was an absolute mess about it The back of my Lexus RX 350 got hit pretty bad -- bumper pushed in, panel damage. I literally cried in the parking lot because I love this car so much. A friend of mine recommended Universal Motorcars and honestly thank god she did. Now I'm no car expert but even I know that black pearlescent is SO hard to match. I was terrified they'd get it slightly off and I'd be stuck with a car that looks patchy forever. I kept googling horror stories lol. When I went to pick it up I was genuinely nervous. Walked around the whole car, looked at it in the sun, took like 50 photos and I could not find the repair. Like at all. The color is perfect, the finish is perfect, everything matches. I actually texted my friend immediately like "I can't believe this." If you've had an accident and you have a Lexus please just go to Universal Motorcars. Especially if you have a dark colored car. Universal Motorcars is the ONLY place my husband and I will take our cars! Not only is the service here fantastic but the quality of work and repairs are second to none! Gina and Jose were amazing from the moment I called and informed them of the botched job another auto repair company did they recognized my stress and were compassionate and ready to help. Gina explained that Universal was a certified repair center that can be verified by the auto dealer and set an appointment to examine my car the same day. She was very thorough with the information she gave me and sympathized with the legal issues I was having with the botched repair company. Jose is the shop manager and gave detailed diagnostics of the vehicle. He informed me the repairs that were done were NOT safe and it was a hazard to myself and other drivers on the road if I continued to drive the car in its current state. Jose assured me that she would work closely with my insurance company to fix the repairs in a timely manner. He walked my husband and I through the process and recorded the work so there would be no dispute in our legal battle with the other company. They were very honest about any charges and the time needed to repair the vehicle. They kept us updated and prior to the final assembly invited my husband and I to the shop to see the progress. What was more important to us than the excellent work they did and how amazing the car looked when they were complete was the level of concern they had for our well being. The other shop was milking the insurance company and allowed me to take my car while it was not safe to drive. Jose went above and beyond to guarantee my safety with his work and bared no expense when it came to the quality. They followed up after the car was repaired and since have been nothing but accommodating when we have questions or need any guidance on vehicles. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I dropped my car, off at this shop on Tuesday, April 15 around 12 PM for a transmission diagnostic. Around 1:50 PM, the mechanic turned my car on and took it for a 35-mile test drive, or joyride I should say, without informing me that it would require that excessively long of a distance. Keep in mind that's it's a sports car, so any dishonest mechanic would try to push it on a test drive, even though it doesn't need to be going above the speed limit. So, either he was speeding, and or took my car somewhere he shouldn't have been. During this time, my dashcam was manually unplugged--I have video proof of this. He starts by stepping out the car and "examining" the engine before the drive. Yet, stares at the dash cam the entire time he's supposed to be "checking" under the hood. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He returns to the car and starts talking trash about my car to another mechanic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In an annoyed voice, he points out to the other mechanic that my dashcam is recording (acting like I'm trying to record him and his sneaky behavior when it's just for my SAFETY).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He then reaches into my center console and pulls the cord that keeps the dashcam on. The next dashcam recording doesn't appear until around 3:30 PM, showing a completely different location. Meanwhile, the AirTag attached to my keys showed the car on the freeway at 2:33 PM, confirming the car was taken far during the time the dashcam was disabled. If I had to estimate, he was driving the car for close to an hour, which is completely unnecessary. When I called the shop, the manager said a usual test drive for a transmission related issue was 10-30 miles. So, 35 miles was way more than enough. As well, he confirmed that the mechanic had unplugged the dashcam, saying that "it's just something he does." [[HIGHLIGHT]]No apology, no accountability, just an "I'll talk to him."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It sounded as if he knew the mechanic did this regularly and or was just trying to cover for him. This is a huge violation of trust and privacy. I left my car for a simple diagnostic, not for someone to disable my dashcam and take my vehicle for a 35-mile joyride. I would not recommend this shop to anyone, be careful if you value honesty and transparency. read more

Pros: they restored the damage to my 2018 Jeep Wrangler to what it looked like when it was new after someone damaged it pretty bad in my rental car business. The Universal Motorcar owner worked with me on filing a supplemental claim for my insurance company, he took pictures, and had good follow up skills over the phone and via email. As a result I got a fair price for the repairs and my insurance company reimbursed me for the full amount in a quick timeframe. Cons: their front parking lot is a little tight for parking, but that's the only thing I can think of. Conclusion: I found out about this car body, paint, and tint repair shop while I was working out at the LVAC and I'm glad I did. I came from Las Vegas Collision previously and would rather use Universal Motorcars since they are easier to work with. read more
