I settled in for the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries and coleslaw, while Dawn had the Greek-shrimp salad. We were served quickly and the shrimp was fresh and cooked nicely. I like my fries just a little more crispy than what I received, but they weren't bad. The slaw was good, with just a hint of dill in the mix. Dawn absolutely loved her salad, it was seasoned just right according to her. Everyone was friendly, the waitress made sure we were okay, and the ambience was good. But here, they do bring it to your table. The issue is the credit card screen; you have 4 options: 20%, 25%, 30%, and "no tip". As I didn't have the option to choose less than 20%, I chose no tip. (Did cash tip the server though) Food good. Service good, value and portion not so much.

Her review of this location was one of many during her GA soulfood restaurant tour. She gave this place rave reviews, and so do I. The entire area smells like backyard BBQ. Walk into a cafeteria style interior. See multiple beautiful ladies smiling, telling you "welcome in" and ready to fix your plate. You get to the register where you can get drinks or dessert, whatever else you want, and pay. You walk out onto a covered screened in pavilion type area with picnic tables if you want to eat out there. I saw lots of people getting their food and leaving. Customer service was amazing! The lines move quick, the regulars know what they want. The food was front and center, and they ask you if it's your first time in If you look clueless like we did. They were so nice in explaining the meals. Other food I remember seeing: yams, Grilled chicken, yellow rice, white rice, oxtails, MacNcheese, smoked chicken salad, pasta salad, potato salad, red velvet cake, peach cobbler, and other foods I can't recall. I don't remember seeing a restroom for guests. The interior was rather small. We sat outside, and it was really nice in the sitting area. I honestly enjoyed my entire visit. From customer service to the food, just perfect. I drove an hour and 10minutes to get here, and would gladly do it again. The two meals pictured plus two slices red velvet cake, 2 canned sodas, and a small side of potato salad (not shown) came up to $50 before the tip we added. The eating area is outside on picnic style tables. As we were eating, one of the owners came out to check on us/to make sure we were enjoying the food, which speaks to the great customer service.
