    Horrible customer service!
    Robert P.

For the first time we received bad service, the employee just does not care. There was only one employee working. Her name was Jaylin. She took our order, we said we wanted it to go. We asked for two waters and she took forever to give us waters. My wife asked first then I did and she did not respond at all. The water was with no lids and the corn dogs were small and sad looking. The ketchup dispenser was out so we asked for ketchup. Jaylin said they were all out and non was in the back. After asking for her managers name she said she will check the back. She came back with packets of ketchup and tossed them on the counter. The corn dogs looked smaller than normal. As much as we enjoy Hot Dog on a Stick, we will not be going back until changes are made.

Bought a beef and cheese dog. Overcooked and thin hard batter! There was literally no cheese left because it leaked out due to too thin of the batter. It seemed like the new guy needs to be retrained. Maybe the oil needs to be changed? There were black spots all over the corndog because it was overly cooked.

My kids burnt turkey dogs - I had to peel off the batter

Pictured: My kids burnt turkey dogs - I had to peel off the batter The service was trash. The older looking man (with a low cut) and the guy that's a redhead guy we're just joking around , not giving good customer service at all. So much so they burnt the dogs and SALTED the fries we asked for to be unsalted. They don't hear what's being asked of them. Wanted to go back , but I was ready to go. I wouldn't even want a remake or a refund. The lemonade was the best part.

"Will Be Back We are Prepping"

This was ridiculous! Also, another review said it happened yesterday too in the middle of the day around 2pm!! For me, It was 6pm and there was a sign saying "Will be back. We are prepping." and there's 4 guys that look like they're in high school just standing around while 1 of them is opening bags of hot dogs and putting sticks in them... like wtf? You don't do that! You get the hot dog ready when someone orders one! Then an hour later, we saw lady ask them and then saw her walking away from them towards us. We asked if they were still closed and she said yeah, and my mom's like it's been over an hour! The lady was like, "are you freaking kidding me? wtf?" Also, the guys who told my mom, who asked how much longer it's gonna take, was extremely rude and had an attitude. I took photos of the sign a little later (like 20 mins later) before I left the mall and there was no one to be seen! It looked like they all left and I couldn't hear anyone in the back at all! I'm 28 yrs old and I feel like i'm 70 complaining about how these kids are lazy as hell and goof off. And on top of that, they're rude! Didn't their parents teach them manners? Like if I did that at any job I had, I would be fired!

    A mall staple!

Peas and carrots, apples and bananas, Hot Dog on a Stick and a food court...these are all pairings that go hand in hand. And if your local mall food court doesn't have a Hot Dog on a Stick, shame on them!! ;) What's not to love about HDOS?? Their menu is simple, it appeases to both kids & adults alike and you get to eat carnival food without the presence of crazy carnies, well at least at this location. Whether you are feelin' an all beef, a turkey, a veggie or a cheese dog, Hot Dog on a Stick has you covered. Don't forget to get a side of yummy fries and select one of their 3 flavors of fresh-stomped lemonade available in original, cherry and lime. (Lite lemonade also available). Remember earlier when I said it's like being at the carnival? Well guess what?? They have funnel cake sticks for dessert...you're welcome =) Fun Fact: Hot Dog on a Stick has been doing their thing since 1946 and they began in beautiful Santa Monica, CA This location is clean, staff were nice and the food came out hot. If you find yourself at the Oaks and want a yummy snack, this is your jam.

Asked for a lemonade, the girl told me she had ran out and was making some okay fair... I asked about how long and said she wasn't sure, I said I would be back after doing my shopping I then see her put up a sign saying we'll be right back and go to the restroom it's been 40 minutes... waste of time just be straight up and say it's going to be over an hour next time ...

Very efficient. We didn't go inside this time, but appreciate the cleanliness of the outside of the restaurant and know from past experience that the inside is great for families or groups. I placed an online order around 10:27 AM. The app still allowed me to place the order for pickup,…read moreso I assumed everything was fine. I arrived at exactly 10:40 and marked in the app that I had arrived. When I spoke to the gentleman in the drive-through wearing aviator sunglasses, he wasn't outright rude, but his attitude was very dismissive. What bothered me the most was that when I tried to explain the situation and asked if he could check with someone inside, he simply said he couldn't help me anymore and walked away. It very much felt like, "this is your problem, not mine." Apparently, if you place a pickup order and do not press "I'm here" while you're on the way, there's a chance you won't receive your order even if the app allows you to place it. This was never made clear in the ordering process. I was told I should have selected curbside instead of drive-through, but by the time I arrived it was already too late. For context, I had been up all night at home with two sick kids. I was exhausted, and breakfast was something small we were all looking forward to after a long night. As a mom, sometimes those little things can really make or break your day when you're running on no sleep. What disappointed me most wasn't the policy it was the lack of empathy. I asked to speak to a manager and pulled forward. The girls working the window were not rude, but the overall situation still left me feeling unheard. I was so exhausted trying to explain everything that I actually burst into tears. I do want to be clear that this review is specifically about my drive-through experience. I have gone inside many times and the staff inside has always been wonderful. There is a woman who has worked there for many years who is truly exceptional and always so kind and welcoming. Unfortunately I don't remember her name, but she is amazing and has always provided great service. I come to this location almost every day and have supported this restaurant as part of our community. I'm not someone who asks for exceptions, but sometimes customer service means recognizing when a situation calls for a little understanding and kindness. Because of how this situation was handled, I will not be returning to this location or any Chick-fil-A. I will also be submitting this experience through the "We Care About You" customer feedback option so they are aware of how this was handled.

I ended up with a burning mouth, and a runny nose from the level of spice. It even came down to scraping off the skin and spices to try to manage enjoying the center part of the chicken piece. Dear Hubby and I shared the #3 plate, which was one sandwich and one open-faced piece of chicken on a piece of Texas-style toast with a few pickle slices. It also came with a side of fries. We also added a side of rice (mistake - it was extremely bland and tasteless). Cole slaw might have been a better choice, and would have balanced the heat of the chicken. There were zero fountain beverages that I could enjoy. I don't drink caffeinated drinks, and I try to avoid copious amounts of sugar. I had water, and Dear Hubby got some root beer. The fries were quite delicious, and the amount provided was generous. That was a highlight of the meal, plus the dipping sauce for the chicken. The cashier was very friendly, so that was a plus and a good first impression. The interior restaurant space is really odd. They've laid it out so that two-tops are shoved up against one wall, and four-tops are shoved against the opposite wall, with an excessively large open space in the middle of the room. Seems like wasted space to me, and not visually interesting or welcoming. Farther across the room, away from the ordering stand and the kitchen, are several raised counters with barstools. DH and I ended up sitting at the end of one of those counter spots. We noted that there are other chicken spots very close by - Chick Fil-A, Zankou Chicken, Wing Stop, El Pollo Loco, this Angry Chickz place, and a Raising Cane's is going in to the spot previously occupied by Amy's. It's going to be chicken wars on two blocks of Moorpark Road!

We also get the Hangry fix bowl which always hits the spot but I think it's big enough for two people to share as well. Their meals are very filling. The younger crew has really stepped up their customer service. They are very friendly and the acknowledge you from the moment come in the door to the moment you leave. Walking up feels like stepping into a 90s time capsule in the best way possible. Classic diner vibes, no frills, just hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches and sides. The owners are incredibly kind and efficient, as everything is cooked fresh to order. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating so I grabbed a table outside to soak up that sunshine. Here's what I ordered: Chili Cheese Dog: (upgraded to the Hebrew National) 10/10. Having tried both of their hotdogs, definitely get the Hebrew National over the regular one. It's bigger and more flavorful in my opinion. This thing was loaded. Flavorful chili, melty cheese, and fresh diced onions, all tucked into a perfectly grilled hot dog roll. This is definitely the dog to get if you're torn between all of the options. Street Dog: A bacon wrapped dog with ketchup, mayo and mustard and veggies (I customized mine a bit so opted out of the onion and jalapeño). If you're a fan of bacon wrapped hot dogs, this is always a solid choice too. Pro tip: These hot dogs are HUGE. I was not prepared. One would've easily done the job so next time I'm just grabbing one and adding a side of onion rings because they looked incredible. Overall a very satisfying lunch for under $20 for two dogs and a soda. Great to have a long standing hotdog restaurant in the 805.

The coffee was warm (not hot) and really dark--so dark that even four half-and-half creams barely made a dent. The inside feels more like a cafeteria with long shared tables, which isn't really my vibe. We sat outside instead, but it's right on a busy street, so between traffic noise and tailpipe exhaust, it wasn't exactly the most peaceful breakfast.
