Today we visited Fish Grill for the first time, and we were truly impressed! The portion sizes are huge, yet the prices are very reasonable. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented -- and the menu offers great variety. It's not just about fish here -- their chicken bowls are also amazing! The rice was perfectly cooked, light and fluffy -- every grain separate. Everything here comes together perfectly: the friendly staff, the delicious food, the cozy atmosphere, and the surprisingly low prices. One small suggestion -- you should put a menu outside so people walking by can see what you offer and your great prices. I'm sure you'd have a line out the door! We're so glad we discovered this place today, and we'll definitely be coming back again and again. Thank you!

For what it is and when comparing to other similar options in the area I think it's worthwhile. It's not fancy but definitely worth it if you're looking for decent quality seafood at reasonable prices. It is always busy which is a good sign, the service is decent and they keep it clean. When they first opened a few years back it didn't have the fast food vibe that it does now, instead of solely ordering at the counter it's more of an order on an iPad style system. If you're on the run and need a decent quick meal that's far more healthier than all of the other options available then it's worth giving it a try.

Clean and casual fish restaurant with friendly counter service. We tried the new lobster roll. The brioche bun was buttery and toasted. Lobster was ok and thankfully it was not loaded with mayo or other fillers. A large serving of fries were hot and crispy. Clam chowder was creamy and served hot. I liked the wasabi salmon bowl with the tasty addition of wasabi peas, edamame and red cabbage. The prices are overall reasonable, although the lobster roll was pricey. I probably wouldn't order it again.

This is our go-to place at least once a week. The food is fresh and there is quite a variety to choose from. Everything is so well seasoned. The fish and chips are great. There are healthy side options also, such as zucchini and Brussels sprouts. Prices are reasonable, and the service is very friendly. I would especially like to point out Robert, Raam, and Brooklyn for their attentiveness and courteous service.

I came to California physical during a lunch break looking for something good to eat. I had eaten some type of ball previously in a different location, but could not record what it was. I end up getting grilled fish, which was really good. It was filling. I would recommend and return again.

Perfect fish and chips. I really liked the variety of sides--you can mix and match so it's not just fish and chips, and it can be fish and something else. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, and it seems like they have their fish down to a T. The customizability is great, and the service setup--ordering at kiosks and picking up when ready--makes everything run super smoothly. Most dishes also seem like a pretty healthy option overall, which is a nice.

It was pretty empty when I arrived, just before noon, but it got busy very quickly as the lunch crowd came in. After I placed my order they provided me with chips and salsa. First off the decor and atmosphere was 10/10. Loved that they have a cozy and comfortable outdoor covered patio. I ate outside and it was lovely. Also indoor seating options too. Small space but they make it work and the patio is where it's at! I also love that aside from parking on the street of TO blvd they do have about 5-6 designated parking spots in the back that they share with the pizza place. I'm a sucker for a private parking lot vs busy street parking so another small win. Staff were friendly and kind. Gal working the register was all good vibes and the gentlemen that brought my food out made sure to let me know where I could find the silverware and extras once he saw I was missing it (my first time here so I was learning). Staff were working hard and keeping the place clean, nice people. The food was good but not 5/5. I'd say the food ranged from 3.5-4 stars, which still isn't bad. I'd come back. They have a large menu and lots that sounded tasty. I went with the street taco plate. I absolutely loved the rice and beans! Solid sides. The tacos were also generously loaded - you get bang for your buck here because I was super impressed with how packed with meat the tacos were, so that was a bonus. Also, they didn't up-charge for the guacamole topping, which was nice. I got Carnitas and Al Pastor. Both were good, but I'm also really picky with both of those proteins. Some other bonuses worth mentioning is they give complementary chips and salsa and I was pretty much obsessed with their salsa! I can't handle heat, but I do like a good salsa and finally, I found one here that was very mild, but super flavorful. Also good Jamaica too. This spot was solid, the portions were impressive and staff were friendly. On a nice day come enjoy their patio, it's a spot worth checking out.

And in a way, that's exactly what El Sancho Cantina is: an escape. A secret. A little taste of something else. Whether you slide in for lunch, happy hour, or dinner, El Sancho is where you come to cheat on your routine. Tucked into Thousand Oaks, it's a getaway hidden in plain sight. Sit at the bar, let the cool breeze drift through, and allow the Spanish ballads to work their magic. For a moment, you'll forget where you are--and believe you've wandered into a dreamy cantina somewhere deep in Mexico. Start with the "El Viejo"--their riff on an Old Fashioned. Let the applewood smoke swirl above the glass as you lean in. The aroma hits first, then the deep flavors of añejo tequila and Mexican whiskey settle in with smooth confidence. Sip slow. This isn't a race--it's a seduction. If you're looking for something a little lighter--a healthy balance between indulgence and intention--try the two taco plate with the green salad substitution. I went for one Potato taco, one Shredded Chicken taco, and swapped out the rice and beans for a salad of mixed greens and cucumber, dressed with balsamic vinaigrette and a squeeze of fresh lime. The flavors were bright, clean, and satisfying. I walked away full--but not heavy. If I was meeting my Sancha after, I could've easily gone for a stroll. Maybe even dessert. But don't let me lead you down the wrong path--the tacos and cocktails are already all the temptation you need. And if that post-lunch lull starts to creep in, fight back with the "El Cafecito"--a soulful wake-up call of Licor 43, Kahlúa, cold brew coffee, and chocolate bitters. My personal pick over an espresso martini--bold, smooth, and unapologetically delicious. So yes, you might be cheating on SoCal for an hour with Mexico vibes, but El Sancho doesn't judge. In fact, it invites you back--with open arms, a strong pour, and just the right amount of trouble.

I already know I'll be back for lunch because the tacos and micheladas looked very tempting. I came in for breakfast though, so that was my focus on this visit. I ordered the rojo chilaquiles, no meat, with an over-medium egg and this dish was a 10/10. The red sauce (almost orange) was packed with flavor without being spicy (a kindness I appreciated at 10am), and the tortilla chips somehow stayed perfectly crunchy. Texturally? A dream. This was one of the best chilaquiles dishes I've had in a very long time, especially in the 805 so I'll definitely be back for these again soon. Portions were perfect and while the dish was simple, it was well executed. I washed it all down with a refreshing jamaica agua fresca. Last note: don't skip the dessert counter. I left with a flan cake, and next time I'm trying their chocoflan hybrid (highly recommended by the staff). This spot is a great local establishment and I really hope more people check them out.

Some people may not love the counter ordering setup, but it moves quickly and I actually liked it just fine. My margarita was tasty, not too sweet, and came out fast. In an effort to pace myself, I did the unthinkable and pulled the batter off the chile relleno and just ate the pepper with the melted cheese inside, which was fresh and wonderful.
