Not my go to Jersey Mikes but I've been enough times to warrant leaving them a review. Came today primarily to get a giftcard in preparation for some holiday gifting. Unfortunately upon walking in I was informed they ran out of giftcards. Definitely a bummer that at the height of the holiday season they aren't stocked and lost some easy money. Also inconvenient for me as I had to run to another store. Lastly, I appreciate when businesses put a sign on the front door that they are out of something, I understand they don't have to do this, but I've seen other businesses do it and it's really helpful. For example, a sign saying "systems are down cash only" or "out of gift cards", etc. It would've just been nice to know before I went inside and ordered the sandwich because had I known upfront that they didn't have the gift cards I would have waited to ordered food at their other location. Hence docking a star. Otherwise this isn't a bad location and it's definitely clean inside and they serve up a classic tasty sub sandwich. Staff have always been friendly here and nice overall. The gal that made my sandwich today was a good active listener and crafted my sandwich to perfection. Truly jersey mikes are a super solid sub! I love the fresh sliced deli meat and the toppings. Bread is always fresh which is a must. Overall the sandwiches here are 5 stars in my books for a chain sandwich spot. Other comments are just that this location is pretty small. It's a bit cramped inside and when you come during rush hours it can feel a little squished. I keep in mind to come to this location before the rush, otherwise I go closer to home to one of their more spacious properties. If you're not dining in it's not a big deal but just worth noting because even today with myself and another customer inside it feels crowded. Happy to at least have this option when I'm on this side of town. Nice staff, clean facilities and a good bite. read more

Walked in about 6:30pm on a Sunday, sign said they close at 9pm, and there was only 1 lady ordering. There was an odd bleach smell, and the entire place, including every table, was dirty, so I'm not sure what they were cleaning. My kid wanted his favorite sandwich and was "starving" so we ordered anyway. The slicing machine had not been wiped down in a while with various meats and cheeses caked on it. The counters had pieces of bread thrown about it, crumbs all over, lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar covering the counters. It looked like they had not cleaned up after a single sandwich they made all day. The girl making the sandwich was nice, and other staff seemed attentive. She did a halfway scraping of the cutting board, forced a smile and asked how she could help. She made the sandwich to my kids liking, and offered a free cookie since kids get a free cookie with their sandwich. I tipped a couple bucks because she was nice to my kid, entertained his "extra pickles please" request, but I was weary as to whether my kid was gonna get sick after this sandwich or not given the look and smell of the place. I grabbed some napkins to wipe down the least dirty table so he could quench his hunger before he "starved to death" which is what required this emergency stop at Jersey Mike's. My kid at every bite of his larger than usual order and said it was the best sandwich he's ever had. That said I left there fingers crossed that he doesn't get sick, probably a crappy parent move but if others were eating there I figured it would be alright. I go to this Jersey Mike's location most often. I've always had a great experience with ordering in store or through the app for pick up. Today I ordered through the app to pick up in store. It was very busy when I arrived and there was a long line to order sandwiches. My app order was ready at the time it was supposed to be so I was able to grab my order and go. My order was correctly made and everything tasted fresh. One of my favorite orders at Jersey Mike's is the #7 turkey provolone on rosemary Parmesan bread with Mike's way. I just recently discovered that their chocolate chip cookies are amazing too. Jersey Mike's is consistently delicious and a great option for sandwiches. read more

This review is one of the most strangest reviews I have ever given, but should be brought to the attention of the store manager for sure. I am a regular patron to this store by the way. This visit to Jersey Mikes today was pretty bad. Subs were ok, short on the oil and vinegar as usual. When I went in to pickup my 'to go' order, there were about 5 people working behind the glass. Store was kinda slow...after lunch crowd. One guy who was cutting the meat with the slicing machine just stared down at the machine and did not answer me or have any eye contact when I said "pickup for Linda". Very weird. I repeated myself pretty loud.....nothing. Not one of the 5 employees responded. Again, too weird. ??? So I walked over to the register and the guy at the register just kept doing what he was doing (packing a sandwich) ...didn't even look up. Whoa, like a twighlight zone movie. I am a tall guy and hard to miss. Also, my voice is pretty loud and went over to a lady customer, also waiting, who 'also' complained to me, that she was waiting too long for her order. Actually, I only ended up waiting about 5 minutes, but the silent treatment was something I have never encountered. Ever.....weird enough to make me not go back. This was on 6-8-25 at 251pm order. Wendy Drive, Newbury Park store.ticket 01-001423-99-114864..So the Jersey Mike crew should let the meat slicer guy know, along with the other team members, it's nice to acknowledge someones presence when a patron arrives to pick up merchandise. This location is consistent , I don't think I have ever had an order be made wrong. I usually order online and pick up and it's usually ready by the time stated in the app. I've also Door Dashed a few times and the sandwiches arrive well packed and when we order hot sandwiches they're still nice and warm by the time they get here. It's always clean inside regardless of time of day or who is working and the crew here is always nice. I think the Italian #13 is their best sandwich. Definitely sign up for their rewards systems so you can earn free sandwiches. My go to sandwich place in Newbury Park by far. read more

Obviously they did not chop/mix meat like I asked three separate times AND came in early to tell them before they finished the sandwich (online order) 2. Dude decided that I didn't want a 99 and I actually wanted a 55 3. They made me wait 15 minutes to pick up my jumbled mess of an order. This is Jersey Mike's, so if you've had it before you know what you're in-store for when consuming a sandwich from Mike. This location provides the same product as you would expect from any other location. Went in yesterday to grad a #14 The Veggie and had it assembled vegan style. One thing I like about this place is you're allowed to swap out the cheese for avocado at no additional charge. Much pleased with the final result. Anyways, this review is not really about the food, but more about the precautions they are using during these times. They are fully setup to provide a safe and clean environment. Also, add the great customer service they provided during my visit. Two times in a row I have order on the app and they screwed up my order. Both times I was charged $4.95 for banana peppers and when I got home no banana peppers. Today they forgot to include a bag of chips I ordered. They have charged me $9.10 for banana peppers and the cost of a bag of chips. I tried to call and get they to refund me for the errors in my order and they never answer the phone. It is not about the money, it is about customer service. This is probably the worst jersey mikes location I have used. It's sadly the closest location to my office and we have ordered catering several times. It is never right. The last time the sandwiches had obviously been made a long time before my pick up and they had to be retrieved from the walk in. They were so soggy they were almost inedible. We had a clients in from overseas and I was so embarrassed we ended up driving them all to in n out to eat. The staff are rude and uninterested. The next time I asked for nothing 'wet' to be put on them and to put that on the side so we could add it when we are (as they obviously can't prep them fresh) and they sent 8 mayo packets with the order (none of the actual lettuce/tomato etc) 8 mayo packets for a $700 catering order. I'll not be back. There is a simi location that's wonderful and another Newbury park location I've had good luck with! read more

We have been customers at this Jersey Mikes for the last few years but probably not going to this location moving forward. The last few times we've ordered, the bacon has been burnt - like bacon makes the sandwich and you expect it to be delicious but then it's ruined by burnt bacon. Also the team seems to be lacking serious leadership, it's like a chaotic frenzy where some employees just look lost. Finally, the inability to communicate with your customers and setting expectations as far as how long it'll take to receive a hot sandwich. We waited over 30 minutes for a Regular 43, while our cold sub sat and got soggy (also another super coveted trait of sandwiches...not) extremely disappointing overall. read more

I really hate to make this review because it's not about the food, it's about the service. I love Jersey Mike's because I have Celiac and they are the only fast food place where I can get a Gluten Free sandwich with bread. But I've noticed that this locations employees (mainly the high schoolers that work there) are more than willing to show their disdain for people like me. Every time I come in to order and the high schoolers are working I get semi-rolled eyes and obvious sighs of frustration at my order. My sandwich is only thrown together carelessly and they make sure to treat me like I'm an annoying customer that they're barely trying to be civil to. I went in today for Lunch and left without ordering anything because the guy in front of me had a special order as well and the boy behind the counter was rolling his eyes and acting very passive aggressive to him. The blonde girl behind the counter as well was slamming things and glaring at the guy as she started his order. Knowing that they already treat me unfairly with my gf order I quickly left the line and decided to spend my money elsewhere. I don't like that I have an allergy that not only inconveniences me but others in the food industry as well but I can't control it. I hate coming into this location simply because of how I'm treated for something out of my control. The college kids that work here are always kind to me about it, however. They smile, make my sandwich wonderfully, and treat me like any other customer. But I believe the younger employees have some issues they need to figure out. Otherwise, great sandwiches, but beware if you have an allergy or else they treat you like crap. I highly suggest going to the other location by In-N-Out because they treat people with allergies so much better and go all out with customer service at that location. read more
