    Late night goodness

Alright alright alright! Haven't been here in years, but I swung through last night at around 8:40pm. I love hot dogs, so I'll say that right out of the gates. When I arrived, both small tables the establishment has infront of the ordering area/truck itself were occupied, and the parking lot which is for an auto shop during office hours was crowded and is small to begin with so navigating can be tricky. More people were showing up while I was browsing the menu so I power walked to order because I didn't want to wait extra lol. I got 2 hot dogs (not Moreno dogs) minus the Valentina so it came with ketchup, mayo, mustard, and jalapeños, was wrapped in bacon, and each was 3.50. I loved em! They were super tasty and hide a nice little kick. Pretty sure this is going into my weekend rotation of "usuals", and I'll likely get the burger and a dog or two next time. The only downside was the wait which was around 15 minutes which isn't bad for a busy spot, I was just like dang 15 minutes for 2 hot dogs? But also I was hungry hehe. I didn't get a number or anything so after 11 minutes of waiting (I timed) I moved to a newly vacant seat and was physically waved down when my food was ready.

I've had this place bookmarked for years, but always was too hesitant on making the drive because I didn't know if they would still be open. I'm so glad we decided to try them as it was a late night snack and everything hit the spot. The service was quick and took about 10 minutes for the order to be finished (we arrived around 9:55 PM). They also have a number if you were wanting to pick up to go which is what I would recommend if you wanted to eat in your car or take it home as the dining area itself was a small white table with four chairs. The Moreno hotdogs were loaded with a bacon wrapped hotdog, ham, cheese, avocado, chopped tomatoes and onions, dressed with mayo/ ketchup/ and mustard. The grilled peppers were a nice addition to cut the hefty hotdog with a little bit of heat. The Supreme fries were loaded with burger patty bits, chopped hot dogs, cheese sauce, and dressed the same as the Moreno dogs. Now these churros have to be the best churros I've had. They were fresh and so big like nearly a foot long per churro (8-12 inches?). The exterior was crunchy and had a generous dusting of cinnamon and sugar while the inside was fluffy with a delicious surprise dulce de leche filling. Everything we ordered including a bottle of Mexican coke left us with a total of less than $35. This place is a gem and definitely is going to be one of our new late night spots!

I like food trucks and I like hotdogs. So why not try this random hotdog food truck? Lol. After waiting 30 minutes for 4 hotdogs, I was expecting to eat a hotdog that was worth the 30 minutes wait...sigh what a disappointment. I'm not sure if the wait time for their hotdogs is typically like this, but it's not worth the wait. +1 star because the employees were friendly, they kept napkins on the tables and used fresh tomatoes, avacados and onions to top the hotdogs

Very filing hotdogs, quick service and family owned. I've been coming to this food truck for years, and will continue to do so. I ordered an original hotdog with everything (a little spicy) and fries with cheese and bacon.

I always pass them up coming from work on a daily but never stopped . Last night was a late night and pass it up and made a quick uturn . Let's give them a shot !! If your looking for something way different from the usual taco trucks this is the spot to go , good hotdogs and burgers !!! Mexican style hot dogs to the T be prepare to wait about 10-15 minutes a little over if it's a full parking lot I'm sure .

A little pricey but the food is great and the burgers are huge. The wife and I could have easily shared a hot dog and a burger. The churros are the best, they have a cream filling

We arrived on a Friday around 12:30pm and it was fairly busy. Many of the tables were occupied. The lady at the register was helpful and patient with us as this was our first time. We ordered the chicken tenders, fries, cheese sauce, Italian Beef and Sausage sandwich with sweet peppers, onion rings, and chocolate cake shakes (a must I've heard). Everything was delicious! My husband's beef and sausage sandwich took a little bit of time because they were making it fresh which was much appreciated. The chicken strips were good too. I got the comeback sauce and the Giardiniera sauce and both were really good. The cheese sauce was hot and super tasty. The chocolate cake shakes were delicious. Mr. Black Fine came around to each table to ensure everything was going okay. We told him it was our first time at a Portillo's and he couldn't have been friendlier. He also came around with chocolate cake shake samples, which was awesome. This place is yummy and the vibes were awesome. Can't recommend this location more! I hope to be able to come back if we are ever in the Houston area again.

Specializing in Colombian comfort food, this truck reminds me of the late night Colombian joints that were open in the northern part of Queens (#2). The truck is perma-fixed in this space. They have a whole set of tables for large groups and includes a dedicated covered area. Parking can get tricky if there are enough people visiting, but I'd recommend the next lot over where there is no night time monitoring. The menu is incredibly simple and just know that prices are not listed (#3) . The choices are basically a beef / chicken / chorizo burger, along with the occasional hot dog and a number of smoothies and drinks. I think their beef burger (patty de res) and the chorizo (patty de chorizo) are the best I've had so far. It will cost at least $15 for the sandwich and fries are not included. It sounds expensive but at the very least the burger will come loaded. It'll be a messy, delicious encounter. Pair it with their maracuyá (passion fruit) juice and it'll be a wonderful meal. The man running the truck is one of the nicest owners I've met. He's patient, courteous, and takes the time to interact with everyone who comes through. Here's what I ordered: Turkey burger- 4/5 pretty good. They were able to get the turkey patty crispy on the edges and had a delicious char to it similar to a regular hamburger. The bun was toasted and didn't get soggy but was light and had a great flavor. Good amount of pickles but hardly any lettuce and the lettuce that was there was not fresh looking at all. I would have liked maybe a tomato slice on it as well. I asked for the chicken sauce in the side and really glad I did and they listened. I tried it on my finger, a little bit on the burger, and on a fry...not for me. It's like a mix of mustardy, smokey, sweet, and also tangy. Fries- 3/5 maybe I just got unlucky today or maybe from having to travel to my house but the coating on them was a little too thick and had too much resistance to them. However seasoning was good. Banana pudding - 5/5 delicious but pricey. You do get to keep the mason jar so that's cool, but you really don't get a lot for $9 Overall, it's a solid place to eat and I would recommend.

As a result, the decor is plastered with luchadores on the walls, tables, and throughout the interior of the place. There are only a handful of seats and folks coming in are often getting takeout instead. The tortas are priced at nearly $17 each but are the equivalent of 2.5-3x the size of a regular torta. The prices have risen nearly a $1 a year in the last 3 years, so foodflation is in full effect. Each come loaded with a myriad of meats, cheeses, sauces, and are overwhelmingly stacked. I have a soft spot for the la floja, which is scrambled eggs with sausage, ham, onion, queso fresco, and avocado. The campechana is their version of meat lovers, which has longaniza, grilled meats, sausage, with melted cheese and avocado. Big appetites can shoot for their mega torta, which is known as la quebradora, which has milanesa, chorizo, sausage, ham, melted cheese, roasted onions, pork marinade, topped with chipotle sauce and avocado. At $23, it will put anyone into an immediate (but satisfying) food coma.
