If I could give zero stars I would. I have been coming to this truck for a while because it is convenient, not expensive and I really like the Birria tacos. However, after my experience yesterday, I will have to find a different Taco truck. I like when the Dad is in the truck because he is friendly and simply handles business while keeping the line moving. I was hungry around 8 p.m. and decided I would get Birria tacos. I drive there and walk up to the truck. Surprisingly, there wasn't a line and I stand right at the window. The 1st guy looks at me, says nothing, and turns back to the grill. I was like okay. The second one comes near the window to get a styrofoam container, looks at me, says nothing, and continues to fill the container. So now, I am wondering what's up because now they are both just talking, smiling, and cooking like I am not standing there. No greeting, no "just a moment", no nod, smile, NOTHING!!! It wasn't like they didn't see me because both looked directly in my face, came near the window as they put food in the containers and stacked them. No greeting and there is NO line, so what's the problem? I stood there several minutes and decided, absolutely NOT!!!! I have NEVER experienced this at this truck before and it left me feeling like was there some type of problem. There were 3 other ladies waiting that had obviously already placed their order (1 white lady standing alone and 2 Hispanic ladies sitting on the table talking to one another). I decided that I would take my African American dollars somewhere else because I refuse to pay for rude customer service!!!!! But I was very insulted and disappointed!! We came here at midnight after a flight bc it was one of the only places still opened and I being the New Yorker that I am- decided I wanted to try all their tacos and got one of each flavor offered. The birria is by far the best one, I loved it. The Al pastor followed it closely. The chicken one and the pork ones were super dry and the tripa although it had great flavor was not for me because of its texture. They forgot to add sauces to our to go order and all in all, this was super affordable in my eyes and a good meal. Would I come back? Maybe for some birria if next time I find myself in Houston this is the only thing opened- but it's def not my favorite. Tacos are $1.00 The most expensive thing on the menu is $5.00 and really that is still cheap too. The Truck- very clean, good music playing and service is very good! The food- I had the Taco De Trompos the meat is like on a rack like a chicken shawarma. The meat is tender and very well seasoned, with everything fresh. On my taco I got the works cilantro, onions and sour cream. They are regularly done on corn but I like the flour better. Make sure you squeeze some lime because that really brings out the flavor. This place is AlWAYS packed. I have been driving by this taco truck for sometime now and finally made the stop to give it a try. The menu is limited to tacos, burritos, quesadillas and tortas. On the weekend charro beans with or without meat are added as a menu option. You can pay with a credit card however the charge $1.00 for this option. The have salsa, limes and pico de Gallo in baggies to take to go. They also have tables set up under a canopy and play music if you choose to eat there. On our 1st visit we tried the steak burrito and steak torta. Both were filled with a decent amount of meat with a tasted pretty good. I feel like it's the same as what you can get at the Michocana only these have more meat. Of the salsa that is available I did not care for the red one which has an earthy roasted taste. The green one is really good though, I smothered my burrito with it. When visiting parking can get tight in the gas station but it seems like the gas station attendants are ok with you parking wherever a spot is available. read more

My favorite taco spot in Houston!!!!! I happened upon this place by complete accident on May 2017 & man it has become THE PLACE to visit every time I go to Houston. We stopped to pump gas and when we opened the door , the smell that drifted in were mouth watering! OMG. We quickly ran and ordered 2 tacos to try - as we were on our way to a dinner. Man was it worth it! We've been back several times since then and I swear they get better each time. I have been craving them so much and I'm stoked to go back soon. I'll be there in March! We got a burrito that was posted as $9 and a quesadilla for $8. Well, they charged us $10 each. So, instead of paying $17, we paid $20. Unfortunately, since I only had a $20, it Barbacoa Tacomeant no tip. Then, they seem to charge $1 for salsa if you get it to go. Flavor wasn't horrible, just not what I ordered, very skimpy on the meat, and also felt like they charged me whatever they wanted. Maybe their tacos with different meat are better? The saying goes bad news travels faster than good so of course reviews would follow suit lol. Soon after my initial review the owner reached out and temedied the issue with a credit to the next time I returned for their delicious tacos. There was a miscommunication in the number of each type of taco I had that cause the issue, fair enough to me, it happens. But it was quickly handled and for that I'm appreciative. Side note: During a recent trip to Austin I decided to try a taco truck out there & while it could have easily just been the luck of the draw all I will say is that while eating the tacos my mind already decided that I have to cleanse my palette with the far superior Los Tacos . Went twice. Seems a bit overrated and definitely overpriced in my opinion. Went on a weekday when it wasn't crowded and on a Friday night where I waited in line for like 20 minutes. The barbacoa taco is super tiny and super salty. I get corn tortillas are smaller, but I feel like they gave a miniature version of a small taco. I guess I'm a monster but it was too lean--I remember wishing it was more fatty... The steak quesadilla was good though.
