Ordered two pizzas around dinner time and was told it would be ready in about thirty minutes. When I arrived someone asked for my name and never came back to give me an update. I had to wait an extra hour for my food to be ready. It seemed like they were in the middle of a rush hour. The food, one of which was a S'mores pizza, was very, very good. Went for the "soft opening". I was incredibly disappointed when I opened the box. Honestly, I could've gotten a better pizza at chuck-e-cheese. Stopped by for a quick bite to eat with my friend and we got a cheese pizza and some wings. The pizza was similar to a frozen pizza, nothing special and the buffalo wings were good but lacked carrots and celery. The service was about mid, after ordering our food the server was gone and i had to go up to the bar to ask for the checks and a box after waiting with my plates stacked for a long time. When he brought over the check it was not split like i had ask and didn't bring a box to the table. Overall not awful but not the best. read more

Don't really write reviews but I feel like I have to warn people that this place is not worth it AT ALL. Tried to call to place an order and got declined which is fine, I waited a couple minutes and tried again and same thing. (when i arrived only a group a 5 were sitting at the bar on a wednesday night) Not even going to try their sketchy pizza bc of how much attitude I got when I walked in the door. It was awkward and uncomfortable the short girl at the bar was rude and condescending. Got denied a refund and was forced to wait 45 minutes for something that looked wet with grease. Honestly the owner and "staff" need to read into the reviews and fix the problems instead of dismissing them to protect the staff it seems. Solid the next day too which a lot of pizzas can't say. The 8 inch pan was tasty as well. Greek salad was quality and had some really fresh Feta. I went in to pick up a pizza late one night after a long shift. I was completely ignored by all of the staff. The woman who I am assuming was supposed to be handling pick ups was very visibly drunk at the bar with other patrons and totally ignored me trying to pick up my pizza. I tried to do curbside after that and no one answered the phone so I eventually left. When I finally got onto someone to get my money back, the man on the phone didn't apologize or anything, even though I relayed the issue to him very calm and politely. Terrible customer service, i ordered delivery paid the fee plus tip the delivery person left my pizza on the ground outside of my apartment building. I did not select no contact delivery. This is one of the best pizzas I've had in a while. I still love those Richmond staples that have been around for a while but some of these new pizza joints that have popped have really missed the mark for me. That being said, I do want to list both pros and cons. One dislike is there seems to be very limited parking. Although I had no troubles with parking out front, I can see this being a stressful scenario for those who aren't comfortable parking in the city. Secondly, it doesn't look like there is any indoor dining but that was necessarily a turn off for me, but I can see that being an issue for some folks. I prefer veggin out at home. On a more positive note, it was easy to find. They are obviously following covid procedures and making sure everyone is wearing a mask and things are cleanly. The woman who greeted me was friendly and prompt, check mark on all the good hospitality boxes. On to the best part: This pizza is delicious and traditional but at the same time has a different flavor that really sets itself apart from the rest. It has some sort of zing to the sauce. I can't pin point it but it's like salty and just a touch of sweetness when you first bite it. The crust is DELICIOUS. I love crispy crust and this is it! You can tell they use quality ingredients... it was just the perfect and I can't tell you how much I truly enjoyed this. Wanted to call my order in which was a small order an 8 inch pan pizza. I was told they couldn't take any payment info over the phone, which was understood but I exclaimed that I was bringing cash. Last night we ordered 2 pizzas from hot for pizza and I must say I was very happy with the order. It took about an hour and some change to get out to our area but both pizza were still hot! There are too many good pizza places in the downtown area for you to go here. Starting with the atmosphere it reeks of cheap beer and they are so cramped for space it will leave the stench in your nostrils for days. The level of service is trash, I watched as the bartender got piss drunk with patrons before excusing herself. On my way out I saw her puking her insides out on the street corner. Getting the pizza not sure about you but I don't regularly eat flavored cardboard and call it pizza. They must be repurposing the pizza boxes from the other stores in Richmond that you should be going to. The only way this pizza place looks remotely appetizing is at 1AM when there is nothing else open and you have had a few, I am telling you this now so when that hour comes, you can tell drunk you, not to go. read more

I've come by here a few different times since I moved a block from the restaurant. I have yet to dine in, but it's a pretty tiny spot! Inside has that really nice lively dive bar atmosphere with some cool red lighting + tons of framed pics on the wall! Staff is always prompt and friendly whenever I pick up :) I don't drink, but they have a full bar with some pretty creative sounding cocktails. They've got DJs there most Thursdays and host some other cool events there too! I do think a couple of the pizzas on the menu are duds (not a huge fan of the Garfield, just tasted like a unnecessarily deconstructed cheese pizza to me), but the shiners really do shine! Toppings taste really fresh, and I'm a big fan of whatever they flavor their red sauce with! My personal favorites are the Hot Date (spicy, salty, and sweet! The Brie adds a ton too) and their pan pizzas. (crispy crust on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside) Their Deep Dish Special on Sundays is awesome too, especially if you do the cornmeal crust! read more
