My wife says she thinks he put vanilla in the batter. They accommodate us so much, they even buy flavored cream for us. My wife gets her eggs poached in a cup, and she said they are at the most consistent place there is. Done to perfection. Me? I like my over medium. You have to try the one pound chop steak sandwich on garlic bread. My wife and I split it, and with a bowl of soup each.. it's the perfect lunch. How many of you like liver? Pete makes the best! What a find. For a hole in the wall kind of joint this is, it's amazing how fresh everything is. Home cooking is truly available here. One of the best Greek chicken dinners I've ever had, the fried chicken and tenders are battered and fried to order and are better than many "southern" and fancy restaurant fried chicken. Breakfast all day, ham off the bone with breakfast, soups fresh and homemade every day, with the Navy bean Monday my favorite, chicken noodle, chicken dumpling and cream of chicken rice right up there. I'm holding back because I've only eaten here once. I got the hot dog which I ordered "Chicago style" The hot dog was far from it. No cucumbers, celery salt, or pickles. the hot dog was also one of those witeish "mystery meat" hot dogs. Definitely not brand name. The reason they didn't get less stars are because hot dogs are not their specialty, and the service was EXTREMELY friendly. I'll probably be back to try some other menu items. read more

This is my go to place for Greek chicken Pete the owner used to work in a famous restaurant as the chef and this little place she has he always has have some quarters of Greek chicken with the Greek potatoes and the rice and the front counter at unbelievable low prices and the chicken is cooked through and through it's wonderful also if you feel like a burger is a great hamburger and he also does breakfast so I can't say enough about this place I've eaten there many many many times and brought home 30 4050 pieces of chicken for parties so if you wantA great meal and you don't feel like cooking tonight for about six bucks you can stop in there and get a quarter of a chicken with rice and potatoes and it's wonderful his wife makes the baklava Greek dessert and she makes pies her name is Virginia and she's a great great baker so it's a great place to stop if you don't feel like cooking tonight read more

I have been here a number of times over the last few years and again just recently. This place is a simple hole in the wall with very good home cooked food at a reasonable price. You can walk through the "wall" into the attached bar and eat there if you like and have a drink with your meal. I have had the breakfast here which is quite decent especially for the price. But that burger is really good. The chopped steak with grilled onions is really good as well. That is what keeps me coming back to be honest with you. There are a few Greek foods here also. Total hole in the wall, but there owner is a genuine real deal character, and he will bend over backwards for the customers. Take out is easy and prompt.
