I went to Hot Haven last night and absolutely loved it. I got the lymphatic cleanse massage and it was awesome. When I first arrived I was greeted by the owners (I think) and they both were so nice! They provided me with a groufit (lol all gray outfit) super soft and comfy, as well as a glass of water to ensure I was hydrated and had it at hand. The lymphatic cleanse is a 55 minute treatment. You lay down with a "body suit." Two wraps on each leg, your midsection and both your arms. It's connected to a device that controls the pressure of the massage. It started at the bottom and worked its way to the top. It felt like I was getting a warm hug. While you are laying down relaxing they have a TV if you would like to watch a show or movie, but you could easily just take a nap it is that comfortable. Afterwards you head to the "Zen Den" where they have orange slices, nuts, cucumber infused water, tea, etc. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to head back and try the sauna! read more

I went to Hot Haven for the lymphatic cleanse massage and 55 minute body wrap and left feeling totally detoxified. The space is clean and in a wonderful part of town. Both of the owners Jenica and Sean are very helpful, kind, and great at making you feel comfortable/at home. The studio is inviting and has a lounging area. I have never had a lymphatic cleanse before but this was definitely my favorite part. The owners walked me through the experience before it began so I knew what to anticipate (this was very helpful). They provided me with the coziest set of sweats and had every streaming sight available as an option to watch. It was so relaxing that I was falling asleep within the first 10 minutes! I avidly attend hot yoga classes so I was very much prepared and excited for the 55 minute body wrap! I felt like a baked potato not moving any but managed to stay very comfortable for the full 55 minutes. With that being said, I am very comfortable with heat! If you are not used to sitting in heat for extended periods of time, I would ease into it. Towards the latter half of your experience, they provide you with a cool lavender towel for your forehead. This was lovely. Throughout each experience they will check on you as well to ensure that you are enjoying and getting the full benefits from the experience. Definitely come hydrated! I would NOT show up after a night of partying and expect to do a heated detox. The Hot Haven is absolutely worth making a part of your weekly self-care routine! read more

I had an amazing experience here! The staff was very knowledgeable about every treatment. As soon as you walk in you feel a calm/peaceful energy. The treatments are all well priced too. They offer great package rates as well. I tried the lymphatic cleanse and I followed it up with the infrared sauna! I did each session for 55 minutes and loved every minute! The infrared sauna wrap was amazing and I sweat SO much! It was the easiest/best cardio I've ever done haha. You get to watch Netflix or your favorite shows too! read more

Hot haven is one of the best new experiences I've had in awhile. I tried it out as I was looking for a way to relieve stress, but it's most definitely something I'll be doing as a routine. From the time I arrived I felt welcomed- The studio is so clean and people were really friendly. Sean showed me the ropes and got me all set up. I tried the 55 minute infrared wrap and I can highly recommend. I was sweating and could tell my body was detoxing...but my brain was totally zen. Afterwards I spent some quiet time in the zen den cooling down, hydrating and get in "me time". Sean brought in some tea and oranges slices which was a great way to recharge. The best part though has definitely been what I've seen afterwards. My skin is plump and glowing and I feel amazing inside and out! read more

I have been looking into Grounding Mats and when I heard Hot Haven was now offering them I was thrilled to purchase one from them. Even after all my research I was still skeptical of what it says they can do. I have had it for the past week and use it regularly. I usually wake up throughout the night and have trouble falling back asleep, stress and worry always kept me awake as well. I have slept not only through the night but have slept great. My energy level seems to have increased as well. My husband has back pain and he has noticed an improvement and so far the pain has lessened. We now live in Texas and unfortunately we don't get to have the benefits of going to Hot Haven regularly, thats a whole other review how great the Hot Haven studio is, but knowing I can order their Wellness Tools online has been wonderful. I have ordered from Hot Haven many times and it has made great Holiday and Birthday presents as well. I absolutely recommend the grounding mat and all the other wellness tools too. If in San Diego I also recommend the sauna studio. read more

Highly recommend this place to compliment your weekly workout routine. Very relaxing and restorative for the body. I personally tried the Lymphatic Massage. They offer music and movies during the session with Bose headphones but I fell to sleep in 10 minutes. I will be adding this to my acupuncture and cupping routine for sure. read more

I love this place! I do the infrared wrap. The sweat is so good! It definitely gets hot and you have to persevere through the final minutes, but it's worth it. It's so nice you can just lay and watch tv. The staff is so friendly and the environment is very relaxing. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when I came in the first time, so I decided to try out the lymphatic drainage which basically feels like a full body massage while you relax with a show. I came back the very next day with a friend to try out the box sauna and we loved the experience! We got to enjoy girl talk, release toxins, burn calories, and relax all at once! The owners were there both times I came in and they both make you feel right at home instantly, but also make you feel pampered. Hot Haven, you are simply amazing! If you are looking to feel cared for while detoxifying and getting all cleansed. This place will make you feel good both inside and out. Maybe it was the warm welcome or attention to detail, or the orange slices with nuts and tea with handmade cups. The services of course were wonderful, who doesn't love an amazing infrared sauna session and a lymphatic cleanse! San Diego finally has an infrared sauna! I saw that these guys opened a few weeks ago and made an appointment to check them out. The location is super easy to get to and there's street parking all over. The moment you walk in you're greeted by soothing smells and sounds and the owners Jenica and Sean who make you feel right at home and do an amazing job of explaining what you're about to experience. I went for the infrared body wrap this time around so I'll describe that experience: They provide sanitary cloth pants, long sleeve shirt, and socks for you to change in to and have crates that you can put all of your stuff in and keep under your station. There's a changing room and a well-stocked bathroom for you to prepare before your wrap. Once you've changed into your sauna attire you'll be offered some fancy water and, if you're interested, a small shot cayenne pepper/lemon mix to heat you up and intensify your sweat. I opted for the shot of course. After that, they walk to you to your room (which is dimly lit by some colorful backlighting) and begin to securely wrap you into your sauna bed. They set you up with a smart tv that has anything you'd ever want to watch, headphones so that you can listen undisturbed, water with a large bendy straw, and a call button incase you need anything from them. The session lasts 55 minutes if I remember correctly and I began to sweat after just the 1st minute! They told me that if I felt too hot I can take out one arm, or even two arms if I'm that hot. I wanted to get the full effect of the treatment so I stayed tucked in to that baby the entire time. I was SOAKED at the end of 55 minutes. You want to talk about detox? I don't know if I had anything left to sweat out after that session. And the beautiful thing is, even though it's hot, its not ever too uncomfortable like a normal hot sauna room would be - I could only ever last 10-20 minutes in those things. At the end of your session they unwrap you and take you in to their Zen room (I think thats what they called it). You sit in a comfy room where they have your name on a card thanking you for coming and offer you some amazing tea, sliced oranges, water, and these amazing nuts that I couldn't get enough of (to replenish your sodium I guess). Overall my experience was amazing. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars and I'll be coming back for more. read more

Loved my experience at Hot Haven. My boyfriend and I tried the lymphatic cleanse and the infrared sauna cabin. Both treatments felt amazing. During the lymphatic cleanse you get headphones connected to a tv with a bunch of streaming apps to watch whatever you'd like while you relax. The infrared cabin also had a touch screen for you to control the temperature and entertainment. Jenica, one of the founders, was very kind and accommodating to both my boyfriend and me. I live a few blocks from this place so it was easy and enjoyable to walk to. It was my first time and I felt very comfortable and at home immediately. I am used to being in saunas but have never tried an infrared sauna. I was very exhausted going in and when I came out I felt extremely revived, the complete opposite of what I expected to feel. in regular saunas I had always felt drained and tired, but not after the infrared sauna. I loved my visit to Hot Haven from start to finish! I reserved my spot for the Lymphatic Cleanse through ClassPass and arrived to easy parking and a beautiful spa. Jeneca checked me in and walked me through the process of my treatment from start to finish. I even got the choice of whatever I wanted to watch from Netflix, Hulu, or amazon prime! When my treatment was over I still had 15 minutes left of my show and Sean let me finish. After my show ended I sat in the beautiful "zen" room and had cold orange slices and iced tea and chatted with Jeneca and Sean. They were so friendly! As a spin instructor who averages around 12-15 workouts a week, the lymphatic cleanse felt amazing for my circulation and muscle recovery. But, the reason I will definitely go back is for the beautiful, relaxing ambiance and the amazing owners! read more

I rarely post reviews but I am so so so happy this place opened just 6 blocks away from my house! I've been following the benefits of infrared saunas and lymphatic drainage for a while now and I could not have asked for a better combination of services at Hot Haven. Sean & Jenica are awesome and knowledgeable. I loved every minute of my experience there, from my introduction to the entire vibe of the space. I did the lymphatic cleanse and infrared wrap and already feel 10x better than when I went in. The zen den is compete with salt rock lamps, crystals, tea, infused water, snacks and more. I also loved the fresh orange slices they gave me after my infrared wrap. My body needed it after how much I sweat! I loved that I was able to distract myself from how hot the wrap was with TV or a podcast. I decided to Netflix and cleanse this time :). I'm not one to do a review but I cannot say enough great things about my experience here! From the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out, I truly enjoyed every second. The beautiful design aesthetic and vibe of the studio really helped set the mood for a relaxing day away from all the outside stressors in day-to-day life. A girlfriend and I came together and Sean and Jenica talked us through the whole process and answered any questions or concerns we had. We decided to try the Body Wrap this time around. They gave us clothes to change into, a bottle of water, and got us all set-up next to each other (they left the curtain open so we could chat if we wanted to :)) I love that each bed has a TV and the option to watch Netflix during the 55 min session...which definitely helped distract from the heat especially towards the end. For the last 15 minutes we were given a nice cold towel with eucalyptus which felt AMAZING and so refreshing! After the session we proceeded to the Zen Den. In the Zen Den we were provided fresh orange slices and nuts (the perfect refreshments after sweating it out) to snack on along an option for some tea. Let me just say, I could have stayed in there forever! It was so relaxing! When we eventually left the Zen Den, I left feeling re-energized and rejuvenated! Today's experience came with so many pleasant surprises! I am sold the treatments made a difference in my pain levels. Cofounders Jenica and Sean run the Haven. Both were welcoming and knowledgeable. Their hearts are in the mission and it shows through the care and attention given to the clients. Sean answered the phone and set me up with the lymphatic treatment and the infrared wrap. The combo was pure magic for my body aches. The pain in my hip is not present at the moment which is a huge win. Jenica welcomed me and helped me feel right at ease. The two hours spent at Hot Haven have me feeling lighter and in a much younger body! The lymphatic treatment will be my new go to for body maintenance for sure as a gal on her feet often this was amazing for my legs and hips!
