Usually I would go to Moe's Southwest Grill however, that isn't a thing in Columbus, Ohio. So I decided to say screw chipotle and let me check out hot head burrito. I am very glad that I did. They have way more options to customize than chipotle, and Moe's. The man making our burrito was very kind and he served us generously. The staff was dealing with a shortage on cash due to the managers negligence. However, they came together to use their personal money to give a customer the correct change. I was so surprised by how delicious this place was! I ordered the fish tacos with tons of veggie toppings and the hot head sauce and was stuffed after 3 tacos. I wanted the fish a little crispier, and it would've been perfect! My only small complaint is that the entire restaurant smelled like acetone, BUT i later learned that there is a nail salon next door, so they can't do much to change that. My first visit to the S. Hamilton Rd store. Didn't get to taste any of the food. They have employees with racial issues here. Tried to get suggestions from the young man taking my order. He wasn't forthcoming with any. Asked him for a taco shell bowl, he warned me it was an additional .60 cents and picked up a paper bowl as if I couldn't afford it. As I tried to build the bowl I asked for chopped onion, he said they didn't have any. I remarked that was odd to be a Mexican restaurant without onions. He said his boss wouldn't let him order any. Needless to say, I walked out. If HHB has this happen on my first (and only) trip there, it must be happening all the time. read more

Visited for the first time during Thursday lunch rush. They had 3 employees working who were great, but you could tell were short staffed. No one was running the grill due to staffing so there was no fajita vegetables when we ordered them. When the manager who was also running cashier finally pulled them off the grill, they could have used another minute or two. Like i said, they were hurried. The burrito and burrito bowls were good, although they load you up on rice and go a tad light on the meat. All in all a solid lunch. I will return when I'm in the area again, I just hope they're staffed better in the future. read more

This is my go to lunch spot when I want to get out of the office. The service is ALWAYS friendly and the food is consistently good. I was super skeptical to try their sauces as I'm used to Chipotle and their dry burritos with only salsa. They'll let you try any of them on the side so you can find one that works with your taste buds. The sweet habanero is my favorite after trying a handful of choices. Their burritos are big and super filling. I always say that I'm going to try something beyond my normal (chicken burrito with queso and sweet habanero) but I never do. They have a great loyalty/rewards program and awesome deals on Sunday's. Venture out from your usual stop at Chipotle and get something way better tasting with much more efficient staff and more choices! read more

The food was decent, the employees need some work. While picking up the order we made online, one of the employees realized one of the burritos were smothered but hadn't got that. She tried to ask the other employee who made the order which one needed it but she seemingly forgot which one it was after just putting it into the bag. Both burritos were taken apart to find the right one. My burrito was poorly rolled back together after fingered through, the smothered one was smothered in cold queso sauce. I understand the help in that area can be lax but if you want a successful business, it starts with the employees. read more

This place needs management there on weekdays to watch what their employees are doing! I went 6.30.21 and it was 45 mins before closing and they said they shut down the toaster and other equipment so we couldn't get a quesadilla nor were their any veggies for the burrito. 4 people entered after me and she said to her co-worker " we need to shut these doors because I have a hour drive home". if the restaurant says open til 9 stay open til 9 don't shut down the machines and only offer a limited selection of food. read more

The food here is pretty decent -- when you can get it. I stopped by around 9:30 tonight and the door was already locked. Employees were inside and perhaps saw us, but they didn't bother to come up and say why they were closed early. They could have at least put a sign up on the door. I've been here other times around 8:30-9:00 and they were short on (or even out of) certain ingredients. I can work around that up to a point. One time an employee apologized and mentioned they had a busier-than-usual lunch crowd that day. That's great this location is getting business, but if it's open until 10, they should make a better effort to have as much of the menu as possible available until closing time. read more

Normally I love Hot Head Burrito. I have been to this location twice because it is convenient. The first time I came the rice was way undercooked and crunchy. The second time I came, I ordered a bowl with chicken and a regular drink. The rice was literally mushy and the chicken was ice cold. The lady who rung me out didn't give me a fork or a drink cup. She rung me out and immediately went to the back. I had to reach around and get them myself from behind the counter. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

A good alternative to the other chain burrito stores. Good value, always clean, good service when fully staffed, ample portions, and they have a year round rewards program. Try to stop in every other week for the last year between 7-8 after work. TVs are nice when there are sports on to catch part of the game. Only complaint I have is every third or fourth trip they have ran out of onions or peppers. If you are in a strip mall that has a grocery store, they should be able to go to Giant Eagle and get onions and/or peppers. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotheads location. There were employees fighting in the restaurant!!! My whole order was completely wrong. They made a 2x chicken bowl with no chicken. They put beans on a coworkers burrito that didn't ask for them, they didn't give us the chips and Queso dip. To top everything off when we called to get things handled they hung up the phone. Wow!!!! I will never again visit this or any other Hothead! Back to Chipotle read more
