Not a very big menu but most options can be made as a soup noodle, dry noodle or rice bowl. The soup was okay, couldn't really taste much of their signature chopped chilli flavor nor was it spicy. Rice noodles were a little too mushy for my liking, not sure if its overcooked or that brand of noodles. Not being in soup makes it better so they dry noodles were better. Shrimp paste balls were a little too stiff and not bouncy. Chinese meatball with rice was good tho. Juicy and lots of flavor. The eggplant appetizer was good too.

Sansotei Ramen Review…read more Order: Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen Ambience: Sansotei at union station is more like a quick takeout /food court ramen spot than a sit-down restaurant. It's great if you're grabbing something fast, but the seating area wasn't the cleanest and I had to look around for a table that had been wiped down, which wasn't ideal if I am paying 21$ for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Food: I tried the black tonkotsu ramen and it was definitely rich and filling. I liked that you can choose between thick or thin noodles, which is a nice touch. That said, the broth was a bit too rich and salty for my taste and could use something to balance it out, maybe an order or Diet Coke. The meat was good but not as tender as I would like. Sides and Pairing Tip: I'd recommend getting a side of gyoza or even a Diet Coke to help cut through how rich, heavy and salty the ramen feels. Value for Money: It's a good option for a quick meal, but it does feel a little expensive for the experience you're getting for that price. Overall: Great for a fast ramen fix when you're on the go, but maybe not the best choice if you're looking for a more comfortable dine-in experience, or more value for money. 3/5

We decided to walk up to Queen Street to see something we hadn't seen and seemed like a good area with a wide variety of restaurants. I was almost writing this review for the one on Dundas Street, but realized there are a few locations in downtown. Glad I double checked. We walked up along Spadina to Queen, not all the way up to Dundas. We were weighing options, but we were unsure what we wanted and struggled. We almost ended up at another restaurant with live music outside, but we weren't being served and wasn't enthusiastic about their menu. So, we looked at a couple of options. We didn't want Chipotle or Chick Fil-A; I can get that anytime as I live near those in Maryland. Also, I wanted cuisine that was harder to find near where I live. Ultimately, we settled on Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles. After a lot of hunger trying to decide, this ended up being an excellent choice. Server was friendly answering our questions. It was moderately priced. We got their hand-pulled noodles, which was a large bowl, and was delicious with beef, veggies, & plenty of noodles. I also got their Japanese Toki brand whiskey. This was a FINE choice at a reasonable price. We got into some conversation with the server about being from the US and various other topics. This was an excellent experience, highly recommend.

I especially enjoyed the signature aburi-style sushi, which had a nice balance of smoky flavor and delicate texture. The atmosphere is modern, elegant, and perfect for a special dinner or celebration. It feels upscale without being too formal, which makes the experience very comfortable. Service was attentive and professional, and everything arrived smoothly throughout the meal. Overall, it's definitely one of the better sushi spots in Toronto if you're looking for a refined dining experience. I would absolutely return again.

The weather in Toronto this week has been in the 20's and 30's! The restaurant does serve the dodgers when they are in town! If it's good enough for them... I ordered a Canadian whiskey to start off. It was very nice and smooth. I think it was a Sleeman and sons? Not positive but I really liked it! Then the food. I ordered the first roll from every section. There were some repeats which he advised me would happen but I didn't mind! The sushi was so tender and had great flavor. My husband ordered the ribeye steak and that was really really good. I would order that definitely next time and come here again!
