Have tried different briyani places in Chicago and found this place close to home. I ordered the chicken briyani and it was delicious!

Very poor service. Seem like they don't really care for customers needs. There is a long wait time before anyone comes to assist you.

Worst service and most unhygienic place. Their arrogance is icing on the cake. Surprising they are still in business.

Not everyone can cook great nihari--but this place truly can…read more A friend of mine was in Streamwood this weekend and happened to come across Zahid Nihari. Since my nickname is Zahid and he knows how much I love nihari, he snapped a photo of the restaurant and sent it to me. I jokingly told him to bring some for the "owner" (meaning me), but I didn't expect him to take it seriously. He ended up dining there, loved the nihari, and decided to order an extra portion to go. Then he drove seven and a half hours all the way to Minneapolis and delivered it to me today. After reheating it, I can honestly say--it was absolutely delicious. I usually don't write reviews for places I haven't visited in person. However, after tasting the nihari from Zahid Nihari, I was genuinely impressed and felt compelled to share my experience. This restaurant is now at the top of my list for future trips to the greater Chicago area. Wishing them all the very best! P.S.: I'm not the owner and have no affiliation with Zahid Nihari--I just happen to share the same name.

I came here with family and had their dinner buffet. The appetizers were pretty good. They had…read moresamosa chaat and chicken pakoras. The tea was fantastic BTW. The entrees is kinda where they lost quality. Though there were many good looking options, the flavor wasn't there. It was way too much masala in the rice dish and gravy to the point the food isn't enjoyable. For example the biryani had giant clumps of masala that were just inedible.

My husband and I came in for a quick bite to eat. We did not take any pictures because…read moreunfortunately I left my phone in the car. The food we had was really good I had the Shish Kabob Sandwich, it came with two 10" kabobs that were made out of Halal ground beef, it was nice and spicy and full of flavor. A quarter of my plate was lettuce with raw onion (which I really love to eat on my sandwiches). There were Also two pieces of naan that were both about the same size as the plate. My husband had the Butter Chicken and he says it was good and unlike any other Butter Chicken he has tried in the past (other places make it with more of a tomato flavor). It also came with rice (he could choose rice or naan) The Shish Kabob meal includes rice or naan on the menu... but she told us that there is a separate charge for this. She said prices for Halal meat have gone up. She did not charge us this time but will next time and instead of $8.99 for the Shish Kabob meal, we were charged $9.99 which is not a big deal. They also automatically add a 15% gratuity charge to the bill. I have seen a charge like this at other restaurants for large groups but never just for me and my husband. If they don't include the naan or the rice I don't think it would be very filling, I would rather see them have an updated menu with the correct (increased) pricing which includes naan or rice. If this is not an option, at least tell us when we are ordering. If you plan on dining here I suggest asking for pricing if your paying with cash to make sure you have enough money with you. Other then that, we will be back!

Ordered the chicken biryani for delivery without reading the reviews. Big mistake. Paid a good…read morechunk of money for this item and it was digusting. I always expect hot spices with any dish ordered from an Indian/similiar restaurant, but this was unnecessarily spicy. The chicken quality was no good and the dish reminded me of leftovers that had been in the fridge for days. Ate a few spoonfuls, had my husband try it to make sure it wasn't just me ( it sure wasn't) and threw the entire thing in the trash. Gross
