This small restaurant is located in a strip mall and has about 8 tables. The walls are bare except for a few hanging art. The menu offer you the typical Thai dishes like Pad Thai, Pad See Eiw, curry and fried rice. Overall, food was not bad. Thai Iced Tea $5 - Good flavor, not overly sweet. Chive Dumplings (4) $8 - Good texture, could have used more chives. Mussels Thai Herbs (6) $13 - The individual mussels were lined up on the plate. Papaya Salad $8 - The papaya was served on top of iceberg lettuce leaves vs. cabbage. Papaya was crunchy, but not particularly flavorful. Basil Fried Rice with Tofu $14 - Could have used more tofu. Pad See Eiw $19 - Noodles were nicely cooked. Red Curry $18 - I didn't try this dish. Taro Custard $8 - The raspberry cream sauce on the side didn't exactly compliment the flavors of the taro cake. One of my favorite Thai places in the Midwest. Always great food and service. Try the Cucumber salad, a sweet vinegar dressing. Their Panang is a very Flavorful, substantial sauce with perfect seasoning, not too spicy for me. Tender chicken and just right veggies. The prices are pretty comparable to most Thai restaurants, but there were two things that bothered me: 1) The separate fee they impose to "help pay operating expenses". Shouldn't that cost be factored into the food prices? And then they want a tip on top of that when you're picking up the food? I thought the point of a tip was to reward good service. How does that work when they are asking for a tip before any service was rendered? Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. 2) Every other Asian restaurant I've ordered takeout from has positively crammed the food into the containers so you feel like you're getting a good value. This place left notable space at the top of each container and the food didn't last as long as it usually does when my husband and I order multiple dishes. Now for the actual food (which was just under $70 total). Pot Stickers Chicken (6) ( Steamed ) - These were quite good and the included sauce was good as well. Garlic Pepper ( Chicken,Medium, Jasmine Rice ) - Also very good. Nice spice, rice was soft, the juice that came with the dish was flavorful. I liked the veggies (which includes mushrooms). Pad Thai ( Chicken,Mild ) - Very strange flavor. My husband felt there was too much fish sauce or something. It was also too sweet. I don't know what they used in it, but neither of us liked it so we won't be ordering it again. Pad See Eiw ( Chicken,Not Spicy ) - Good overall flavor, and the broccoli was cooked well, unlike some Thai places where the broccoli is practically raw. Next time we'll add a little spice. Kung Pao Noodle ( Chicken,Mild ) - This was very flavorful. It's a unique dish I haven't seen at other Thai restaurants and was our favorite. Very spice for mild, though, so keep that in mind. Overall the food is good and I'd order here again, but it wouldn't be my first pick due to location, portion size, and that stupid extra fee. read more

Just finished my meal. Really enjoyed the chicken satay; flavorful and tender. I ordered chicken pad Thai "medium" spice and it was the perfect spice level (not overly spicy). My only complaint is the fishy taste of the pad Thai. Maybe they had a shrimp pad Thai in the pan before me? No seafood in my order so it threw me off a bit. Atmosphere is relaxing with low key music playing, interior is nicely decorated and clean. Lunch special was a great deal ($13.00 with tax) that included complimentary soup, potstickers, which were delicious, as was the chicken pad Thai. Service was quick and friendly. The picture showed 6 appetizer potsticker pieces but I only got 3; the other eggroll showed 4, wonder if it was only going to be 2, in this wall-e world of gluttony, the 2 small handful portion offered for the entree was not enough to satisfy my hunger for a ~$15 take-out investment in a spicy basil lunch special minus bell peppers, green onion, & jalapeno, but plus mushrooms, bean sprouts, & pea pods for a $1 surcharge, lol, I took 3 away & added 3, but oh well, he was ready to adjust the bill but I said it's ok, could have added thin noodles for a small surcharge I would have been more happy with having enough portions.
