I love this restaurant! The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. It's a casual spot where you pay a flat price for whatever broth flavors you want. My absolute favorite broth is the seafood. It's sooo good. You pick your meats with the server, then walk to the refrigerators on the side of the room and can choose all of your seafood and vegetables. They have a lot of options: all kinds of mushrooms, various greens, tofus, bean curd, fishballs with roe, lobster balls, clams, tendon, something for everyone! Their sauce bar is to the left of the refrigerators and you can make it however you like. I always get miso, sesame, chili oil, satay and ponzu. They also have various sushi you can order. We have been coming here pre-Covid and this place has become our absolute go to restaurant for hot pot. Their Thai broth is our favorite- consistently flavorful and their choices of additions are always fresh and of a nice variety. They recently added a sushi bar- and wow! Stopped at our favorite Hot Pot restaurant "Hot Pot Heaven ". They have a great selection of broths to choose from and some of the menu choices like the Oxtail broth or the Sanagang broth. We've tried almost all of them. All all delicious but our favorite is the Mushroom broth. Great selection of fresh veggies, dumplings, meats, and seafoods. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I am a massive hot pot lover and this has become a new favorite for me. This has been my second time at this location and I foresee many more in my future. The pricing is based on broth type and by colored plates and it's very reasonably priced. I think the portions are very big and you can also carry out what you didn't finish. The service is very prompt and they are very kind. They are attentive to your needs and ensure that you have everything that you need during your visit. Hot Pot Heaven is located in Kapolei Shopping Center next to Pho & Company. The shopping center has lots of parking but does get busy during lunch/dinner rush and weekends. The interior is always very clean and there are lots of tables inside, able to accommodate to large parties. There is no waitlist, you just go in and tell them how many is in your party. I don't think we've ever had to wait long to be seated and when we get there everything is ready. This hot pot is a la carte ordering, not AYCE. This is more of a sharing style. The broths range from $6.99-10.99 and you can either do a split bowl with two broths or just one big pot - their most popular is the Thai but we usually get chicken and beef and add our dipping sauce to it. The sides (veg, starch, sides, etc.) all range from $3.89-$6.89 and they have two huge fridges full to choose from. Meats and seafood (pork belly, chicken, beef tongue, scallop, etc.) you can order from your server Their dipping sauces are complimentary and you can create your own or follow the recipes on the sign they have up! Everything is reasonably priced and their quality is great. They also have some cooked appetizers to choose from such as: pork and shrimp wontons, seafood gyoza, and spring rolls. Some of the meats and sides we love getting are the pork belly, chicken thigh, ground pork and shrimp meatballs, mochi dumplings (the wrapper is so chewy and addictive!), rice cakes and enoki mushrooms. There are endless options and something for everyone. The service has always been 10/10 and the owner, Bang is very personable and does his best to round on and talk to the customers. The server is great and is awesome about checking in on us, refilling and answering any questions we may have. They also do takeout, catering and you can even rent the place out. After your meal, they give complimentary Jin dui (deep fried sesame balls with red bean filling). Tip: if you go between 4-6PM it's happy hour and you get 15% off your bill. Very attentive service as soon as you step in the doorway. Great place if you're watching your carbs since you select what you will eat. Lots of protein in the refrigerated cases as well as a variety of leafy greens. Hubs chose vegetable broth and I chose medium Thai. Next time I will select mild. We stopped here on our trip to Oahu again this month and had another fantastic meal. We all kept saying "oooh this is so good. This is so delicious. When can we come back?" It is the best hot pot we've had anywhere. The Thai tom yum broth is so amazingly delicious- better than any Thai restaurant. Beef broth tastes like the best pho broth you can find. Veggies are fresh and clean, meats are tender and not fatty. There is an all you can eat shabuya in kapolei but it can't compare to the taste or the service we get at hot pot heaven. We went for a last minute Mother's Day dinner with no reservation and we were luckily enough to be seated right away with no wait. We ordered the Thai and Mushroom broth which was recommended by our server and both were so flavorful! But if I had to choose one, I would definitely go for the Thai broth. There were five people in our party, and our bill came out to about $150 (we did 18% gratuity). Which is pretty good considering most AYCE hot pots restaurants are about $35-45 per person. We ordered 3 plates of brisket, 2 plates of pork belly, and one plate of whole shrimp. I'd recommend the brisket as it was super tender! As for all our other sides, we just walked up to the fridges and grabbed all our veggies and whatnot. The sauce station is in the back as well and has a good amount of options! The restaurant is not too big so I do recommend making reservation or calling ahead to see if there is a wait time. I Highly recommend this spot if you're not looking for an AYCE spot! read more

We chose 2 different broths to create our soup with. The Thai and beef broth, as you can see from photo there is a divider in bowl. It was interesting to create our own soup and place our items in it. We picked ribeye, noodles, bok choy and mushrooms. Also, not sure if this is the same company that was near Pucks Alley in Manoa back when I was in college. That business shut down, so I hope this one doesn't because it sure gives me that personal nostalgia eating here. First off, this place is Vietnamese hot pot. I don't know about you, but I like knowing what kind of hotpot place a restaurant is because that usually determines the broth, sauces, and sides available, Like many other hotpot places you pick your broth, unlimited sauce bar, and fried appetizers to order Ala carte. This place isn't AYCE but instead you just pay by the plate color so I life being able to track how much I'm spending. You can order three different types of meat through the server and you can ask to double as well. Since I don't eat beef too much my husband and I usually order double pork and whatever beef he's feeling first and then he paces himself to different kinds of meet available. I personally love to eat a ton of vegetables when I do hot pot so I also appreciate all the vegetable options here and at a good price too. A dinner for two, depending on how hungry, could run you about $60 so definitely not an everyday dinner, but if I'm looking for hotpot in the area I'll crave to come here for good food and good memories. read more

You first choose a base broth, and then you pay by the plate for different additions. We got the Thai broth (level 5/10 and it was the perfect amount of spice) and we put cabbage, Kimchee, eggs, and ramen. We also added some steak, pork, and gyoza. The gyoza was especially delicious! It was super easy to cook, and so, so filling. I also added some cilantro, onion, and green onion to mine (which was free) and some extra spicy and miso sauce (also free). It was just so yummy! The service was also great. They were so attentive to any questions and very friendly. Plus the ambiance and location are very nice. Being extra safe this New Years Eve, we decided to order in. Wanting something warm and fresh, we decided on Hot Pot Heaven. There appears to be a website for them (hotpotheaven.com) but that site only talks about the McCully location. However, they generally offer the same things so you can get a good idea of what to order. I called about a week in advance to order. The guy said I could just call the day that I wanted to pick up but because I was picking up close to opening, he ended up taking my order. I got the family set which consisted of 2 broths (they give 2 tubs of each), 3 proteins, 4 miscellaneous items, 4 vegetables (mushrooms not an option) and 4 starches. That is $70. You can also add on. My favorite miscellaneous item is their pork and shrimp wontons! When I sent to pick up, my set was already ready and looked nicely presented. There was another lady picking up there. It looked like she rented the pot and the burner, which I didn't know was an option. I'm not sure the cost on that but it's worth an ask if you don't have one. Would do this again! read more

First hot pot place I've been to in Hawaii. Came here with several friends, and they have a good ordering system here. So you order your broth first. They have a good selection of them. But we went with a kimchi broth as well as a Thai broth. Then you order the type of protein or meat you want from the waiter. The cool part is you then goto their cooler area and you select the vegetables, the fish balls, tripe, noodles, and other toppings you want to add into your broth. They have a good selection of each thing. For example, they must have had about 5 different types of noodles. Each dish is color coded, and they have the prices listed on the walls, so you know how much the overall price is going to be. Only annoying part is that the meats take forever to come out. So depending on when they bring it out to you, your toppings, including the noodles, would already be boiling and cooking for a long period of time. Fortunately, the meat slices are extremely thin. And even if it's overcooked, it's so thin, it doesn't become tough. The Thai soup was amazingly well flavored. The kimchi one was on the spicier side of things. It's a very hearty meal. And depending on the amount of fillings, it can be a rather filling meal. It's a pretty cool place. Customer service is good. They even gave us a complimentary dessert, so that makes up for the delay on the proteins being brought out. read more

We love Hot Pot Heaven and wanted to give their Kapolei location a try when my sister was in town over winter break. We were so impressed with the friendliness of the staff and deliciousness of the food at their Kapiolani location, so it was a no-brainer to check out their Kapolei store. The Kapolei location was much less crowded than the one in town, but once we were seated a few more tables came in. We ordered the beef broth and a few meats to simmer while we checked out the ingredients fridge to build our own hot pot. We tried a slew of ingredients ranging from udon noodles, shrimp, cabbage, bean sprouts, onions, tofu, mushrooms, etc. The list goes on and on! I also love their house special sauce and their black bean sauce the most. The service was quick and friendly, and they were nice enough to give us bigger bowls to eat out of. They refilled our broth once, too, which was great an allowed us to enjoy even more ingredients in our soup. My sister continues to rave about our meal there, and I know it won't be long until my family goes back to enjoy this fun dining establishment! read more

They are having a hard time and can use your support (especially on weekdays) We popped by Sunday evening after 7pm and had to wait about 15 mins for a table. In the meantime he brought us a menu where we check off what plates we wanted order and also to pick a broth. We ended up getting the kimchi and thai broth. Plus these dishes: beef tongue, pork belly, kabocha, Chinese cabbage, choy sum, enoki mushroom, fish tofu, tobiko ball w/ crab roe, shumai, hk egg noodles, shrimp w/head. In addition to the stuff that the original location has this one also has appetizers and sushi. We ordered a salmon dynamite. You also check off what sauces you want on the menu. The beef tongue was excellent quality! The pork belly thinly sliced and delicious in their ponzu sauce. The shrimp too was really good quality. Mmm, the salmon dynamite was ono. I like the addition to this on the menu :) We really enjoyed our meal and the service was great. They refilled our waters and brought out most of the plates prior to seating us so we didn't have to wait long to start eating. They even gave us dessert (Jin dui) which was a perfect sweetness.
