Weather this month is crappy! Didn't wanna drive far and wanted something near. Anyway, been wanting to try this place for a while. Price for what they gave was worth it. Taste wasn't as vibrant as i expected, but it was satisfying with the weather and gave that hunger crave a fullness. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the pho we ordered. It was our first time here so we were exploring their menu. Plus our kids usually just eat a combo pho and for an apparent reason it wasn't listed "combo pho" on the menu. Haha in the beginning I felt they were getting impatient, which I understand cause it's not like the menu is huge with things. Anyway, one of the workers we had hard time understanding, there was Language barrier. Anyway, We ended up ordered spring rolls, 2 combo pho and spicy bun bo hue. Service was quick. They always came around to check if we needed anything or needed more water. The place was clean and spacious which is great because we have 4 kids and needed the double stroller for our infant and our toddler was sleeping. So they were able to sit 4 of us and space next to table for the double stroller but yet leaving area for them to be able to serve us our food. Not our favorite pho spot, but I'm sure we'll return here again.
Been wanting to try this place for a while, and I was really impressed on my first visit. I ordered the Dac Biet style pho and my husband got the banh mi sandwich, both were delicious! The atmosphere was clean, quiet, and chill. The staff was friendly, guided us where to sit, and took our order quickly. Because we enjoyed it so much, we decided to come back again. This time, we went in the evening, about an hour before closing. I'm assuming it may have been due to the late timing, but the pho broth tasted very different, much less flavorful than before. We had to rely on garnishes and sauces to bring the flavor up. That said, I understand restaurants can have off days, so I'm definitely willing to give it another try. Overall, a great experience with a bit of inconsistency, which is why I'm giving 4 stars for now. I'll update my review after my next visit!
Craving a solid bahn mi without making the drive about 5 miles to my normal go to spot. Decided to give this restaurant a shot since it was about a 5 minute drive from me. I'm a believer in always supporting my go to stops but I'm also a believer in liking more than one place for my favorite food. Glad I did! The restaurant itself is very clean, spacious and has a lot of parking. Staff were very patient, always filling up water and cleaning tables. They were very pleasant and had a great smile on their faces. No matter what day I'm having, a great smile is always nice. I took a chance on their roast pork and it totally paid off. Initially, it didn't look like much but it was loaded up well. It had all the makings of a solid bahn mi. Lightly toasted soft baguette, savory meat and pate, tangy pickled vegetables and fresh herbs. Officially adding this place as a go to. Ps. I love capping my meal off with a delicious sweet potato tapioca dessert. Their version is delicious.
I ordered the Bun Bo Hue today. So what is Bun Bo Hue? It's a complex and robust noodle soup that has a varying degree of spiciness, mildly sour and herbaceous. There really is no sweetness to it. Overall I give it a 4/5. I'm comparing it to places I've eaten in Southern California in Little Saigon and Vietnam. Here is my breakdown: Good: 1. Decent amount of meat. Some places skimp out on the meat portion and all they give you is a bunch of noodles. 2. The beef shank was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. Good job! 2. Fresh and plenty of herbs. I really like that they also provided shredded banana blossom and morning glory. You don't always find this at most Vietnamese restaurants. 3. I am happy that they DID NOT provide blood cakes. I think for most Americans, blood cakes is not something that is appetizing. Even for me, I tend to take it out if it's provided. Bad: 1. Nothing bad stands out. I think I would suggest providing the noodle soup in a bigger bowl. Neutral: 1. Typically in Bun Bo Hue, thicker round noodles are used. In this case, they used thin vermicelli noodles you find in summer rolls. I kinda like that to be honest with you all..... What I would of wanted more from the broth: 1. The broth overall was good. I think if there was more of a lemon-grass flavor to the broth, it would have added more to the taste. 2. I would have like more of the shrimp paste flavor. I know not everyone likes the fermented and "stinky" smell of fermented shrimp paste, but there are ways to add it to the broth and hide the smell while enhancing the flavor. 3. I personally like pork knuckles or hock, and I would have like bigger and more of it, but it's not a deal breaker. Vietnamese Ice coffee (without the condense milk): 1. I would suggest adding more sugar next time. I could taste the bitterness of the Robusta beans. Not a deal breaker. DOG FRIENDLY - I brought my dog (service dog) with me and had absolutely no issue. I think even if my dog didn't have the service dog vest on, I don't think the staff would have minded. So THANK YOU for being pet friendly. Have I had amazing Bun Bo Hue? Yes....in Vietnam. But you're also in Hawaii and I think the people at this restaurant did a great job. I would order it again.
Don't order the spicy beef noddle here !! It's one of the worst one on the island . No flavors, they use thin noodles instead of the thick ones. And the meat is bland and tasteless . Wish I would throw it away but it'll be a waste of money !! Atleast make it right if they gonna sell one of the most popular vietnamese soup !! Embarrassing.
Big place with lots of seating, and attentive staff. You can get whatever Vietnamese food you're craving. I got the special Pho and the Bun rieu. Unfortunately the pho broth tasted bland to me, didn't have the aromatic flavor and taste that I'm used to, I had to ask for fish sauce to season it more. The brisket was dried and kinda tough. The plus side is they give you a lot of veggies. The bun rieu was also bland, didn't have enough of the crab umami flavor to it. Will probably pass and won't be back to try anything else in the future.
Good pho place in Kapolei. Why take off a star? Honestly, the Chicken Pho did not have a lot of flavor. The restaurant is clean, good place for groups since the table settings are flexible, and there's TVs on both sides advertising some items you wouldn't even consider ordering, which is great marketing! I was also pretty grateful they allowed me to sit my son in his car seat on a chair and block one pathway so that I could enjoy my dinner comfortably. Service was impressive, he memorized everything we ordered without even writing it down. And we didn't just ordered pho, we ordered a couple of sides too! I ordered chicken pho and my husband ordered a regular pho with different cuts of beef in it. I was disappointed that the chicken pho did not have a lot of flavor. Honestly, I just ate it because it was hungry but it was pretty bland. Although, my husbands pho was decent. Again, both were okay, nothing special. So that's why I gave them three stars. It's because you eat pho on a cold, rainy night like this because it's supposed to hit the spot...these didn't! Disappointingly... Really do wish the broth had more flavor to make the dinner memorable. And I believe everyone at the table didn't have much to say either. Like the food was okay...but it could be better.
Considering the price and amount, this place is 4 stars. The taste is not anything amazing, but it has a home comfort sort of vibe to it. It is what I expect a mom making. I appreciated that the summer roll had a pork option. I also liked that they offer more veggies if you want. The service was good. They left me alone, but they were helpful if asked. They have booster seats with a buckle if you ask. Very busy on a Friday night for dinner!
Pho 97 One has us coming back time and time again. My coworkers love it so much, they stop by at least once a week!! The service is always fast and friendly while everything always tastes so good. I've been to other pho places where the pho doesn't have taste, but theirs definitely does. The medium is really filling! Just when I think I ran out of beef, I find more in my bowl. For $17-ish it's totally worth the price. I like that there's a lot of parking right out front. The restaurant is also nice and clean. When it comes to pho in Kapolei, they're the best place to go!
I was fighting a cold or virus or something that made for a less than enjoyable vacation. Whenever I feel sick, one of my go to home remedies is some kind of pho so I was so happy to find some relief at Pho 97 One in Kapolei! Their pho broth was exactly what I needed which made my heart, stomach and sinuses oh so happy! Now that I've been there I know where to go the next time I'm there. The service was just right and the place good pretty packed on this slightly drizzly day so it was reassuring to see so many people enjoying their warm bowls of love! Parking is easy and conveniently just outside the front door. The dining room is spacious and the tables were cleared very quickly to keep their customers happy. Go Pho their goodness and you'll be so happy you went! Please go pho me too since I can't go until I go back for another vacation again!
Worked late the other day. When I left the office, it seemed a bit dark out. Thought to myself, I'm hungry. Hardly any traffic and so I cut over three lanes as I thought, the vermicelli bun would satisfy my need to eat a salad but I want noodles and fried eggroll. When I first pulled into the parking lot, it was empty and wasn't sure they were open even if the Open neon sign was on. But yay! They had two patrons having dinner. I guess they parked in the other side of the building. Sat down and glad I knew what I wanted as the dinner crowd trickled in about 5-mins later. Everything is expensive but the food appears less expensive than some of the other Vietnamese restaurants nearby. The service was great even as the restaurant was getting busy. The food was good. Very satisfying. And the sun was setting, the restaurant wasn't too loud, rename food channel on TV. Just a great way to unwind from a busy day.

We were driving around the island of Oahu when we spotted this place! My husband and son love Pho !!! As for me, I don't enjoy the dirty water taste that we've had in L. A. . So I wasn't hyped on going to this one. However, I was willing to try one more time! We walked into a cozy and welcoming restaurant, we were greeted and shown to a table. We were given cold water and the menus , loved that we were allowed time to look it over before we ordered. I looked at the banh mi which sounded good but I always tell my husband to get what it specializes in... Pho! There were many types of soup and Pho and it too awhile for me to decide. We ordered a bowl of chicken Pho and a bowl of chicken and pork won ton soup. This way we were able to try both. The bowls came steamy hot and the scent of the broth was no dirty water... it was a real chicken broth like mom used to make! I looked at my bowl and unlike L.A. it was packed with at least a dozen won tons, green onion, bits of chicken and a side plate of toppings. This was the best won ton I have ever eaten , usually I'll only eat a third of the bowl but before I knew it I had hit the bottom! This is what I have been looking for, the perfect bowl and the bowl of Pho was the same chicken broth! Who'd know I only had to come to O'ahu - Kapolei- to find the PERFECT SOUP! Definitely a must for every visit. read more

Cold vermicelli is the perfect dish to order when you're craving pho but it's too hot out. The cold vermicelli noodles are served with a yummy fish sauce, crispy lettuce, cucumbers, pickled daikon and carrots and your choice of protein. My favorite is the BBQ pork and shrimp! If you're ordering to-go make sure to call ahead! My order was ready within 15 minutes. read more

I gotta say this is one of my favorite pho spots!! The broth is flavorful and food is always served hot and fresh. Service is quick and fast from our orders being taken to when we get our food. Love their spring rolls, so hot and crispy. Definitely a place to rave about! read more

Wow, I haven't been here in 3 years! The broth here is delicious and service was great! The spring rolls are amazing with the crunch but it's not the best I've ever had. We ordered the brisket pho and the brisket flavor really came through in our pho! I love that it's spacious here and there's a lot of parking. Will be back again! read more
Tons of free parking is always a plus. Stopped by for a quick lunch while we were in the area. The crispy noodle with seafood was huge. Didn't have enough gravy tho so we ate a lot of the crispy noodle plain. The chicken wings and spring rolls were yummy. The Thai iced coffee was nice and strong just the way we like it. It was ok. We were in Kapolei on Sunday afternoon and my son reccomended checking this place out. He said someone had mentioned to him that it was really good and they liked it better than Ribs and Broth. I thought why not, I love Pho and trying out new places to eat. When we arrived we were seated right away. There were a few other dinners and the dinning area is pretty spacious, which I like. The staff checked on us often to see if we were ready to put our order in. When we did order the food came out quickly and was piping hot, definite plus! The spring rolls and wings came out first. The wings were delicious! Perfectly crispy outside and juicy tender inside. Also very flavorful. I didn't try the spring rolls because my stomach wasn't feeling all that well but they were a hit with my son. My husband ordered beef stew with rice. You have an option of bread as well. The stew was more of a soup texture but I think that's just the Vietnamese style. It was very flavorful with lots of tender pieces of beef and carrots, no potatoes. The chicken pho was not so good. The broth was very bland even after adding the basil and lemon. I never add hoisen or Sriracha I prefer the natural flavors. I barely had 3 bites and could not finish it. I was so disappointed. My son ordered the beef pho and he enjoyed it. He said he doesn't think it's better than Ribs and Broth but it was good. I don't think I would return and if I did it definitely wouldn't be for the pho, lol. I'll stick to my Bale chicken pho or Ribs and Broth. read more

Been here twice now! Tried booth spring and summer rolls both very delicious. I usually just get brisket pho the medium is huge i always have leftovers to take home. The servers are quick and usually don't wait around long for anything. I would check out the menu before going because they will come to your table as soon as you're seated to ask what you want lol. Thai tea here is super good too. Will continue to go here read more
I didn't know this place until today lol. I found it in Kapolei commons, it's by the theater. There is a lot of parking lot. Inside is clean, a lot of tables. I ordered pho with special beef combo $17, Thai iced tea $7. Price is fair. Just like others. Service was good. I just got to go. There is a lot of menus! Taste was good. A lot of beef and herbs! Definitely I go there again for Vietnamese sandwiches. read more

We always shop in the area and just seen this new Pho location. We've never tried this restaurant before so we weren't expecting much since it was our first time. To our surprise, it was busy but we were able to get a table for our family of 6. The prices are really reasonable and their portions are decent. My dad ordered the oxtail and we got a bunch of other items that tasted amazing! Overall, this place is definitely worth trying at least once! I think the only complaint I had was that we always had to flag down a server for water, napkins and whatever else we needed. The servers like to stand by the kitchen area. read more
New Vietnamese spot that recently relocated to Kapolei from Waimalu Shopping Center. Located at the previous Young's Fish Market next to Target. The restaurant was very clean and pretty spacious. We ordered bun bo hue, combo pho, bbq chicken banh mi, and Vietnamese iced coffee. Both the soup dishes could use a little more flavor. The pho broth had a very light herbal taste and was on the beefy side. However, they didn't skimp on the meat. They also give plenty of veggies too. The Vietnamese iced coffee was probably my favorite part out of the whole meal. It was deep, rich and creamy. Overall, the food was just ok, but not something we would come back for. read more

Came for an early dinner around 4pm with some coworkers. I remember seeing the giant advertisement when this place first opened so finally got to try it out. It was empty when we came in and then started to fill with hungry people closer to dinner time. Ordered a medium pho with brisket. Added siracha and hoisin sauce in it and it was so delicious! Meat and noodles were good and fulfilling. They enjoyed their mango smoothies ($8). Thai milk tea ($7)was tasty, I love thai milk tea, only con is it's pretty expensive for their drinks. Drinks are similar price at boba places. But for this to be mainly catered to serving food (plus drinks) it's overpriced. I would rather spend the $7-8 at an actual smoothie/tea shop for the quality and stick to dining in drinking water. read more
Came here for some comfort food. To my surprise, the egg rolls are really good. The broth wasn't bad either. The only thing with this place is they use the vermicelli noodles for the Bun Bo Hue, which I'm not used to. The waiter was super friendly and the dinning area was big enough to fit the 7 of us. I Would recommend this place if you're looking for Vietnamese cuisine. My niece loved the grilled pork in her vermicelli noodle bowl. read more
Place was busy for lunch, but I got a table for one today without issues. This restaurant is clean, staffed well and has great customer service. You can always respect a restaurant that has an older lady, usually a mother or mother in law that helps with the small tasks like pouring water or sweeping and aunty did an amazing job at ensuring that customers had everything they needed. Large pho was 17.75, which is cheaper than the majority of the restaurants in the area. The broth is clean, delicious, and hearty. Tons of noodles and protein which is an added bonus. The right amount of condiments, fresh veggies like Thai basil, jalapeños, bean sprouts and a lemon for garnishing, plus my favorite chili oil, I was in heaven today. Will be back to support during my lunch hours and will bring my family. Thank you! read more
This spot is located in Kapolei in the same shopping center as Target, next to Bank of Hawaii. Came here on a Saturday around lunch time and it was relatively full with people, which was a good sign. But we were able to get seated right away. We ordered within the first few minutes of seating and the food came out within 10 minutes which was quick! The vegetables that came with the soup based food was different than your typical Vietnamese restaurant. There was water spinach included which is pretty rare to come by and I definitely put that in my bun bo hue. The broth had a good flavor and the meat was tender. The chicken was our favorite dish! It doesn't look crispy, but it had the right amount of crunch but was still juicy on the inside. The flavor of the chicken had a sweetness to it and it came with pickled radish and carrots, my favorite! The freshly squeezed lemonade was a nice addition to the meal; perfectly sweetened and refreshing! My boyfriend and I definitely want to come back and try the other dishes next time! FOOD -- I got the BBQ chicken rice plate. It was flavorful and wonderfully spiced. The price is also reasonable and the size is great. I wasn't able to finish my plate and had enough leftovers for another meal. SERVICE -- We came here on an early evening around 7pm after watching a movie at Kapolei Commons. It was busy but there were still some tables open. We were seated immediately. Workers are friendly and efficient. AMBIANCE -- Ambiance is similar to many Vietnamese restaurants on the island. Clean. We can to try this place because we love pho and downtown is too far. Well the place didn't disappoint! Tons of flavor, broth is clean and they give you a lot of veggies for your pho. Service was quick-they were slammed for a Friday and we appreciated the young gentleman who was attentive to our hungry stares. Had the chicken pho, combo and crabmeat pho-loaded with meat. The pictures are from the second time I came here to dine with my bf. We got the pho with short ribs, pho with shrimp and chicken, spring roll and thai milk tea. They sat us immediately and workers are nice. The restaurant is tidy clean. The broth is amazing and the short ribs were so soft it melted in your mouth. I always have to pair my food with thai milk tea. Definitely would recommend if you're in the mood for something soupy! Thank you and definitely will be back. read more
First off the customer service was amazing ! We got immediately seated and our order taken right away! We literally was in and out of this place in less than an hour due to the amazing customer service! The food was delicious! Forgot to take a picture of our food but the beef stew was delicious ! The Thai milk tea was okay, I like mines a little sweet and it wasn't that sweet. The orange juice is not your average orange juice! It's sweet and tasted like I licked a freshly opened orange that I just peeled. Also The tapioca dessert was good, I had the banana one and the taro one. Inside of the tapioca has mixed slices of bananas and slices of taro! If you don't like an extra texture in tapioca this dessert is not for you! But if absolutely love a chew texture this is definitely your kind of dessert! The spring rolls with the dipping sauce was absolutely yummy ! Can't wait to try this place again! First time eating here, this place is OK. Not too many options on pho choices, the broth was bland and barely had any taste. It was really hot inside , I mean for a pho place that serves soup you would think it be cooler inside. Not sure if I'll come back read more
