Yummy Kitchen lives up to its name! We've been there a few times now and have been able to try a variety of items on the menu. Not one has disappointed. My faves so far are the salt & pepper pork chop and the beef chow fun, and they also have a great house special crispy noodle. Updating my review after ordering here a few more times. The owner is very responsive to feedback, and the staff is always courteous and provides excellent customer service. The food is consistently ready in a timely manner. The chicken wings and beef chow fun continue to be my favorite dishes here. I was also able to call in and request the dishes à la carte without the rice so my family could share. Been here 3 times now and have totally enjoyed the food all three times. The portions are generous and I get two meals from one plate. Ingredients taste fresh and are prepared to order. The dining area only has 3 tables (4th one is more for take out orders). It's tqo 4 tops and 1 two top. So it's a but small but clean and comfortable. Regardless of whether you eat in or take out, the food is served in take out containers. If you eat in they provide a cup of water for free. Only complaint is they only have crispy noodle and no cake noodle. They will tell you it's the same but it's not. The crispy noodle is one big sheet folded in half and entire thing is fried all the way through. No soft juicy center like cake noodle. They also use chow mein noodles so it doesn't absorb the gravy the way cake noodle does. I liked that they gave the gravy in a separate container too so it didn't make the noodles soft while in transport. One stand out dish was their roasted pork. The fat melted in my mouth. The skin was crisp without being hard, and it wasn't oily either. Char Siu was a little on the sweet side, but also good. read more

Ordered several dishes using Uber Eats. Our favorite was the Mongolian beef and Spicy Eggplant with tofu. Both dishes were perfect. The shrimp fried rice was okay. I plan to scramble some eggs tomorrow morning and use it for breakfast. However, the Garlic Shrimp had the perfect amount of garlic. It was overcooked and tough, shrimp fell apart while separating the shell from the shrimp. Shrimp cooks in about 2 minutes, so no need to overdo it. The shrimp was rubbery and there was way too much salt. I usually sauttee shrimp in good quality olive oil and use little salt. I tried yummy kitchen for the first time and was very happy with the food and service. I had some questions about the menu and the staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered the seafood crispy noodle to go and it was nicely packed with the noodles and seafood and sauce separate so it wouldn't get soggy. They also use good quality plastic to go spoons. Chinese food does not disappoint! This new restaurant took over the old Wok Grill Express, and it was probably one of the best takeout experiences of my life. I made a phone order not knowing how long it would take and they told me 10 minutes! I showed up 10 minutes later and it was already packed waiting for me hot on the counter. The food was phenomenal and the service so friendly. Also pretty affordable considering the price of takeout everywhere else nowadays. You can order plates with rice or ala carte. Their beef and bittermelon was very good especially the sauce. The gau gee is huge, crunchy, and the pork is juicy. My daughter said the salt and pepper shrimp had alot of taste and was spicy. The beef chow fun, mapo tofu, and the combo char siu roast pork was also good. Each plate came with white rice or had the option for fried rice. Had enough food for 2 meals. Service was friendly and the food took about 10-15 minutes with a couple ahead of me. It's been forever since I've had Chinese food and this place hit the spot! We ordered salt and pepper shrimp, sweet and sour fish, veg speing rolls, and hot and sour soup. The salt and pepper shrimp was absolutely delicious with super crispy shells, amazing flavor and HUGE portion of jumbo shrimp. The sweet and sour fish was super tender, sauce had good flavor and another big portion with nice fillet size pieces. Veggie spring rolls had spectacular flavor and super crispy outside. The hot and sour soup was so good, and has a really pleasant amount of heat to it. The staff was extremely friendly, and the place felt really clean. Only tried their beef chow fun today, but it was legit. Lots of "wok hei" IYKYK. Good ratio of beef and bean sprouts to look fun. Food is made to order, so it's hot and fresh when you get it. Good prices and good portion for the price too. They are located in the same parking lot as Foodland right next to Subway on California Ave. Very nice staff as both the cashier and cook thanked us when we left. The Beef Broccoli was fresh and well-balanced, while the Sweet & Sour Pork had a nice texture with a classic tangy-sweet taste. The Black Bean Chicken was also delicious, with a rich, savory flavor. I was so happy to see a Chinese restaurant in Wāhiawa and my friend and I ordered and were both less than impressed. I got char siu fried rice and the rice wasn't fried enough (almost like regular steamed rice) and very little char siu, could barely see them! crispy gau gee mien comes with crispy noodles. you like crispy noodles you will be happy, I like mine soft. but , no problem . on the other hand I ordered a whole roast duck, when I opened the container the pieces were not uniform or together like you usually see,(leg pieces together, breast pieces together and so forth. everything was jumbled up and there was pieces for three legs. and there were no wings at all. I thought ducks had wings.
