Pho has to be one of my favorite dishes of all time and I always like to try as many places in search of the best pho out there. This restaurant is definitely one of my top picks, and not just because it's close to my parents house. Going here with my family was the first time my parents had tried pho for as long as they could remember, but my sister and I very very familiar with the menu so we could help them navigate the pho experience. I always recommend the flank steak pho for first-timers if your ready to dip your toes in the pho waters, or should I say pho broth. The pho here is super flavorful and the meats are all prepared perfectly, making for a delicious meal that satisfies, but keeps you feeling light and not stuffed like more greasy foods. The service here is speedy and feels personal which is a great touch. They do charge extra for using credit cards so make sure to plan ahead. read more

I would give it 3 1/2 stars. Cs get degrees, but I just can't give it 4 stars. We sat down and we got menus, but it took them like 5 minutes to give us water, and they never came by to give us more. I got the spring rolls for an appetizer, and Phõ Tai for my main food. The spring rolls were not like any normal spring rolls, they had cabbage in it which was really weird. The cabbage basically over took the shrimp and pork or beef. Usually spring rolls have mint, lettuce, Thai basil, and bean sprouts. This one didn't.. The Pho Tai was actually not that bad, the soup had good flavor, but I wasn't to much of a fan of the beef in it. The beef had little pieces of fat in it. This would probably be the best Pho restaurant to go to in the Eastern Idaho area. read more

Excellent Pho and very good Banh Mi. I'm docking a star for value though. It's very tasty but it's still just soup. After a lifetime of living in Seattle and being able to get excellent pho in larger bowls than this place for under $8, it's really hard to understand how they can justify charging $13+ here. As for the Banh Mi, it's priced a bit high as well but the sandwiches are larger than the average size in WA so I can work more with that. There was a decent amount of meat and noodles in my bowl, which is not always the case in my new home town of Las Vegas and the vibe was friendly, helpful and comfortable. This is likely the closest thing you'll find to Seattle Pho in this part of the world and if you don't mind the 40-45% markup, you'll be very happy with this place. read more

Spring roll (nem nuong): good but was missing the crispy fried eggroll wrapper for that much needed crunch that's in a traditional goi cuon nem nuong. Peanut sauce: good Banh mi (pork): tasty, I would get it again Bun bo hue (spicy noodle soup): not impressed. The broth was overly sweet and needed flavor. The noodles and meat were good. They didn't have a lot of condiments that make bun bo hue actually good, like mam tom and chili oil. Yeah, I know a lot of people probably don't use mam tom in town but not having chili oil is just crazy. That stuff is delicious. Milk tea with boba: good.  The boba was soft and perfect.  The milk tea itself didn't taste like milk tea but it was still good. It tasted like a mix between a Chai latte and a Jasmine milk tea. In this town, it's better than nothing. Server: she was very attentive and friendly. Even being 3 days new, she gets 5 stars. Warning: if you decide to pay with a credit card, they charge you a fee cause they're a "small business." There are many small businesses in the area that don't charge their customers that fee. 10 - My entire family (6) and I all enjoyed our dinner so much! We had the pho with brisket & meatball and devoured the entire thing! Everything was portion generously. This is truly the best place to eat here in Idaho! I spoke to the owner and she just moved here (2 months ago) - they were very authentic and very sweet, loving family. They work endlessly 12+ hours per day and hoping to spread their love to everyone here. Their summer rolls was also very miraculous - their peanut sauce was to die for after eating our delicious meal, we had boba - taro, honeydew, coconut, & winter melon drink. The bobas was perfect!!! Not hard, not clumpy, just perfect to chew on as we're drinking. The winter melon was a very nice touch to end my night. I love how this place gives you the authentic homey Vietnamese vibe - but also modern! Their sweet family is very friendly and brought out our food pretty fast!! I don't usually spend time to write reviews because I'm a busy guy. I've got important things to do in life. Look after my kids. They're little rascals if you ask me. However when you eat authentic pho outside of little Saigon in SoCal you need to say something. This place is a.u.t.h.e.n.t.i.c. We had pho special and it was truly special. Broth was flavorful and noodles were cooked just right. I also ordered bun bo hue and it was delicious. Noodles weren't over done, broth had just the right amount of herbal flavors that make bun bo hue such a unique dish. If you want legit Vietnamese food, give this place your time. We were torn between the Thai Kitchen and this place and decided on this place since it was newly opened. Maybe it was because of this, they didn't have some of the items on menu available. We ordered the shrimp & rice, chicken & rice, and thinly sliced Pho noodles. All dishes tasted very delicious and the pho broth was a little on the sweet side. Was so excited to see a vietnamese restaurant but unfortunately this place is horrible. Been here twice. First time ordered the tofu banh mi sandwich. The bread was very hard the tofu was not marinated or anything so it had no flavor what so ever. It's like they just opened the package of tofu sliced it and put it on the sandwich it had no pickled veggie no fresh herbs no jalapenos this was definitely not a banh mi sandwich. Awful! Second time ordered the tofu noodle salad bowl. Again I should have figured the tofu had no flavor And it was missing items that normally should be in the bowl. I was on a business trip to Idaho Falls and stopped here a number of times because I was missing some home cooking and was not disappointed. During my visit I tried a number of dishes such as the special pho and rice plate, the spring rolls, the pork rolls and the Vietnamese ice coffee. For the area, this was probably the best Vietnamese food. The owner was very friendly and the food came fast even when there were a lot of people to in the restaurant. I had high hopes when we went to HSP last weekend. $100 later (yeah I am always a generous tipper) my family and I walked away disappointed. The good parts: friendly outgoing waitress. I suspect Idaho Falls doesn't have a lot of Vietnamese food fans, and she took it upon herself to educate us on the menu items with even a binder with pictures. Also they had beer available so that was good. I think the problems were mostly the food. The pho broth was okay, but not hot enough to cook the meat and not really that flavorful. Noodles were overcooked but not quite ready to disintegrate; on my wife's bun thit nuong the noodles were likewise overcooked and jellylike. The rest of the bun was adequate with appropriate crunchy vegetables. Cha gio were small, loosely packed, insufficiently meaty and kind of mushy on the inside. It was also a sign that we were in White People Land that our cha gio were accompanied by sweet and sour sauce, of all things. Also they had a different kind of sriracha there (not their fault, there's been a supply chain issue with the red rooster sauce) that was sweet. My beers were not actually coronas but the low carb corona premiers. I apologize that I did not educate our waitress on this distinction. At any rate I don't know how the price of this lunch got so out of hand (I did add up the receipt and it was accurate), and the food quality was suboptimal so I don't think I'll go back. I am grateful, though, that there is a Vietnamese restaurant in Idaho Falls no matter the quality. read more

The shrimp wontons were amazing, the pho was the perfect level of spice (the owner offered to make it hotter if needed) and the boba tea was heaven. I am in Idaho for a trip and I consider Pho to be one of my favorite foods. In Tennessee, Vietnamese food is very popular and there are so many amazing authentic restaurants there. I was skeptical about this place since Idaho falls is such a small town, but I ended up really enjoying the food. Three waitress noticed when my toddler took my husband's water cup hostage and brought another glass of ice water for him without any prompting on our part. Delicious food. As it's only our first visit I can't vouch for much, but my husband got a beef pho bowl and I ordered a bowl of noodles with grilled lemongrass chicken. So good. The house sauce that came with mine made the meal stand out and the vegetables all seemed fresh. I'd also say large portions are offered here with fair prices to match.
