I got the classic Spaghetti and Meatballs ($20), and I substituted the pasta for kohlrabi noodles for an additional $1. I was excited to try their house made sauce and was not disappointed! Super flavorful marinara with a good kick. I also enjoyed the large soft, tender meatballs. The kohlrabi noodles are great if you're on a low carb diet or just want a lighter meal. We also got the sangria which was not very sweet (very red wine heavy with a hint of orange). For $8, you get a large glass and it's totally worth it. I visited this location on a Wednesday around 7pm as a party of three. We were asked if we wanted to be seated inside or outside, and we opted for first available. The wait couldn't have been longer than two minutes as we were seated inside fairly quickly. My friend recommended the Bocce Balls, and I wanted to go for something on the menu that was marked as a Paesanos's favorite - I choose the Spaghetti Carbonara. I also asked our waiter if he could put my order on a separate tab up front just so it's easier if he needs to make note of the certain items that needed to be put on a separate tab. The bocce balls came out and there were six of them on a platter. I was surprised because I was expecting them to be soft almost like a garlic knot, but they were a little bit more firm, almost like a fried mac n cheese ball (but with dough inside). This was definitely something that we needed to use a knife to cut with and eat. They tasted buttery and garlicky - you really can't go wrong with bread, butter and garlic. It was fantastic. Then my spaghetti carbonara came out about twenty minutes later. This one was also delicious! It was creamy, cheesy, and had chunks of bacon that worked well with the creaminess of the dish. The serving was also huge - I think I only ate about a fourth of it. It came with a side of bread which I took a bite of and thought it tasted a lot like the bocce balls (flavor wise). My bill's subtotal ended up being $26 ($19 for the carbonara, and $7 for the bocce balls). It was nice that our waiter remembered I wanted a separate check. He said he wasn't sure how whose tab to put the bocce balls on so he just split it in half. I found that to be really considerate! I always try to do what I can to make it easier on the wait staff so I would have happily taken the whole charge, but it was nice to see that he was able to split one dish by two checks. Overall, we ended up spending about 2 hours in the restaurant. I went with friends who I haven't seen in years, so we spent plenty of time catching up. At no point did I feel rushed to leave. Came here around 6:00 p.m. and were seated right away, which was a great start to the evening. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It's a little bit of a tight squeeze inside, but it adds to the charm. We ordered the fried ravioli to start, along with the Lavender Lemon Drop, which was delicious. My friend and I chose to sit outside where there were two tables available -- one smaller for two people and one slightly bigger. There were no other parties waiting and plenty of open seating inside, but the host still denied the request and said it was only for larger parties. For our main meals, my friend and I both got sandwiches and they were just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. My friend ordered the Philly cheesesteak and mentioned it was lacking in meat and felt like mostly bread in some bites. We ordered the sopressata hot honey pizza along with the daily special pasta (linguine with shrimp in a spicy sauce) and two side salads to share. Terrific restaurant/bar with some outdoor seating for great weather days. The food is very good. I've had the Baked Pasta, Carbonara, and Tiramisu. The Baked pasta was creamy, full of flavorful meat nicely baked for cheesy action all over. IMO, one of the benefits of baked pasta is the crispy pasta shells on the top layer, plus the baked cheese crust on the top. This had it all. The carbonara was pretty good, but they use bacon instead of the traditional guanciale (cured pork cheeks). That said, it was a solid bacon carbonara. I wish they had provided more of the decadent sauce, but still very good. The Tiramisu is a house-made special item and it's noticeable. It's really what Tiramisu should taste like. We recently visited and found out they got rid of the "Shrimp Scampi" dish and replaced with, what looks to be more of a vegetarian dish, Lemon Pistachio pasta.
