Been wanting to try this place, I'm a sucker for gourmet pizza. Pizzas are really good. It's unfortunate It's in a rough part of town, I was greeted by a kid asking for a handout while inserting my credit card into the parking meter. Ya don't wanna get mugged so I pulled my credit card outta there so fast without even completing the transaction and walked away quickly and said "I don't speak English." I better not get a parking ticket ... Anyway, was planning on eating here cuz i definitely wanted to wash yummy pizza down with cold beer but decided to take it to go since the girl made it clear she's the only one working and so it wouldn't exactly be full service so no tip. As I was waiting, there were 2 other groups that came in, felt sorry for them but they seemed understanding when she told them seat themselves and get your own menus. Pizza is my soul food, so when I found out about this place from a friend, I had to try it during my food tour in Sacramento. The place is quite chill and laid back. I loved their decor with the wonderful art. The ambiance gives a nice welcome feeling with a nice bar. What we ordered: -Chilled beer -Burrata Plate for appetizers - Mediterranean Pizza - Spanish Flan for dessert The beer was cold and refreshing, the Burrata Plate was excellent with the fresh Burrata Cheese and Pesto sauce, the Pizza was absolutely delicious , the pesto sauce had great taste, the toppings were proportionally distributed with good layer of mozarella, and most importantly, the crust was excellent -- yes the crust is the most important part of a pizza. And finally, the star was the Spanish Flan. It was wholesome, filled with love and goodness. I believe it's baked by the owner's wife. Amazing dish. Sad that I am only here for a few days and at the end of my Sacramento food tour, but would definitely would love to come back and taste their other Pizzas. What a difference dining in makes! Anonimo is our go to for delivery. Our delivery service has been fairly good, and for the most part, the pizza generally arrives warm and tasty. It's always been an easy go to for delivery, and certainly better than chain pizza delivery. It never tasted like settling until we decided to dine in. It was after work, and since we were already downtown, we decided to dine in, and we're not looking back! We ended up ordering two pizzas since we couldn't make up our minds! We ordered a large cheese pizza, and we ended up adding prosciutto and buratta to. The thin pizza crust, and the lightly crunchy outside crunch combined with the cheese cheese, was like a bite of heaven. I love the fact, that for seated service, they bring garlic oil, and spicy oil for the pizza. Toss some of that garlic oil on the pizza, and you may never want to go home. The small pizza we ordered was Italian sausage, mushrooms, with some added pesto. Talk about a slice of heaven! There's something tasty about red sauce, pesto, Italian sausage, and cheese... it's just so good. Service was super quick, and we literally ordered, enjoyed a leisurely dinner, each other's company, and we were out of there in about an hour and change. Parking was super easy! We went with the Margherita pizza, and it hit the spot perfectly. I've been coming here 4 years and order about once a month/once every two months. Very sad to see the quality progressively decline over the past year. They have slowly made the transition from a unique artisan pizzeria who had phenomenal dough and generous toppings into something reminiscence of Pizza Hut and corporate management of ingredients usage. I really, really liked Luccas and it is very unfortunate that it's made a transition into a cookie cutter establishment. There are many other pizza places in midtown that offer better pizzas. Used to be called Anomino Pizza! It's the same place but one of the employees told us that the original owner passed away a few years back and so the partner that took over simply just changed the name. Same recipes and same vibes! Pizza was REALLY good, as always. We experimented and tried duck carnitas, which was interesting!! One of my favorites is the Il Fuoco, perfect balance of spicy and savory. All the employees are super chill and friendly. Great recommendations every time I've had questions. It's usually not super busy, look like a lot of the locals just grab takeout so the lobby is pretty much available for seating most of the time. This unassuming location in downtown Sacramento is not the most luxurious place in the region, but you can get some amazing food here. Parking is limited to street parking, so plan ahead. The building has a decent size dining room with large windows and a small bar. Most of their business is clearly takeaway or delivery, but dining in can be an experience. We ate inside for lunch and had a great time. Our order was the prosciutto and burrata pie. It was very delicious with the burrata adding extra creaminess to the pizza, helping the salty meat. The larger pizza was too much for two guys. Yes, two guys and a pizza place... The menu is great with a lot of more gourmet options including sweet and savory toppings. You can also get a more traditional pie. Our pizza was a thin crust style with a thin sauce layer, but other choices may have other styles. Beverages were served in cans and bottles, and they have several topping bottles to customize each slice. It's hard to find much wrong with Anonimo's pizza, although the location is a bit rough for most. Prices reflect the quality of the product. This was our first time visiting and we ended up getting their cheese bread appetizer and potato pesto pizza with Italian sausage for an additional $2.50 (menu said additional items were $2). The pizza seemed really dry (maybe the mushrooms and potatoes soaking in all the moisture) and there seemed to be barely any meat despite the extra charge. The cheese bread appetizer was pretty good with the marinara sauce that came with it. They charged us $1.50 extra for ranch without any heads up & I found a black piece of hair in one of the pizza slices (my husband and I have light brown hair). The place looked a bit janky because of the paint job and reusable paper menus & I wouldn't say the rap music was very family friendly. It was hard to choose which pizzas to get since they offer so many unique flavor combinations but we ultimately decided on the Truffle pizza and Prosciutto/Burrata pizza. Went here for my b-day celebration, first time here. Guy behind the bar was the bartender and server. He put together a table of 9 for us using a larger table and two smaller tables. The two smaller tables weren't the same width as the larger table so it looked like a Tetris game gone wrong. My gf brought a b-day cake for me. After the meal, I asked for some plates for the cake. The waiter said he didn't have enough, even though I saw a bunch on the counter. He said we should of brought our own paper plates and handed over a handful of napkins and plastic forks. We decided to eat the cake at home. They also charged a mandatory 20% tip for groups of 8 people or more. We would have been happy to compensate them for extra use of plates for the cake, but still had to pay 20% for below average hospitality. We ordered 6 different pizzas, nothing stood out. None of the people in my group liked the pizza as they are skimpy with the toppings and very low quality ingredients. They charge $37 for an 18" pizza! I would suggest Giovanni's or Masullo's or Roma II Pizzeria, where they know how to treat customers right. Pizza advice...don't come here for your b-day! read more

Great rotating wine list (with dope ass heavy Cabs if that's your jam), great happy hour, and truly the best fuckin crust in the Sacramento metro area. Your picky ass kids will eat this crust. You'll dream of it in your gluten filled fever dreams. You can't really go wrong here, and kudos to these mf's for opening a restaurant during the height of the pandemic in the underutilized 12th St. corridor. The only drawback to Lucca's is they close by 9:30- here's hoping new housing construction in the area leads to more foot traffic & later summer hours. Walked in for an online order after hearing good things. Saw a huuuuge bag of Caputo 00 sitting on the counter in the kitchen and knew this was about to be a good pie. Crust, perfectly balanced and a nice char on the bottom, foldable and chewy. Sauced just the right amount, semi thick which I appreciate with some nice texture and seasoning. They also have a spicy meatball pizza and a truffle pizza! If you're looking for a more classic taste, go for the marinara, margherita, or sausage & ricotta. You really can't go wrong with any of these, and after looking at the menu, I believe there is a pizza for any craving at any given point in the day! Always excited to try a new pizza place, so I came by for a visit. Was excited to try the Detroit-style pizza, as I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. Was slightly disappointed to learn there wasn't a Detroit connection with the restaurant. We ordered two pizzas and a Caesar salad. Asked for one to be their thinner crust, and one Detroit-style. The Caesar salad came first and was tasty. The first pizza came and was thin-crust, and then we waited for a bit and asked about our second pizza. On a Friday night, before seeing a show downtown, my Dad and I came to Anonimo Pizza for some dinner. We had both heard about Anonimo and were eager to give it a try. They are definitely still in the "opening stages" of this space and working out the kinks but their talent and craft of creating a phenomenal pizza cannot be questioned. We decided to try the 17" of the Sausage & Ricotta as well as pan size of the All Meat. We knew this was more than enough pizza but since it was our first time, we wanted to try a little more of their menu. The pizzas came out fresh and piping hot; the 17" Sausage & Ricotta was a perfect thin crust, but held up to the hunks of sausage and glorious dollops of ricotta. Words escape me as to how to describe how perfect the pizza sauce was ... As for the pan All Meat - it looks like the crust is going to be dense and heavy but it was deceptively airy, holding its own against all of those spectacular toppings. I cannot wait to come back to Anonimo and try another one of their amazing pies. They're working on getting their beer taps up and running but in the meantime, they offer a few cans/bottles of local beers.
