Came in on a Saturday around noon. Brought some new friends (they are Italian from New York). We wanted them to try out the amazing pizza we found here. Ordered a margarita pizza, the guiseppe special, a house salad and half chef salad. Our server was very attentive and so friendly. The pizza got the thumbs up from our friends. Been coming to Romas for decades but haven't been back for a few years and I'm so glad I've returned. Definitely the best red sauce in Sac and quite possibly the best thick crust pizza as well. We got the large size pepperoni pizza, and it had so much pepperoni on it -- it might have been too much. Is that even a thing? My husband went to pick up the pizza in person. He said the customer service was great. Overall, we were satisfied with the pizza, I would say that the pepperoni was a little bit salty though (again maybe because there was just oh so much of it). I am very disappointed with the last experience I had with this location. My birthday was coming up and I dont ever ask for anything. This time, the one and only thing I wanted, was pizza from here. I open the box, 2 gnats fly out of the box and theres 1 dead one on the pizza. I call and start speaking with Maria. I told her what happened, and she kept insinuating that they came from my car and they dont have flies there. She was very rude and kept telling me that they didn't come from there. I asked to speak to manager and she got loud with me over the phone and said, "IM THE MANAGER, IM ACTUALLY THE OWNER!" I told her for an owner, she was being very rude and I didnt like how she was talking to me. I told her that all my family and a lot of our friends goes there for pizza on birthdays and celebrations and I was going to let them know they shouldn't go there anymore. She tried to apologize, but wasnt genuine. They were making another pizza for us, but after dealing with her being so unprofessional, I called her back and told her we didn't want it, and it was just really gross seeing gnats in our pizza. I told her my name twice, and she still said, "okay susan." For someone who is an owner, who according to the website background, has no business experience, she should have taken some classes on hospitality. We love Roma's and have never had a problem with any meal. Last night we took our son to watch the game and ordered two pies. Yhe Pepperoni was fabulous, however, the med mushroom and olive had a badly burned crust! My husband chose not to say anything so as not to ruin a good night out. I obviously would of sent it back. Rate 5 Spaghetti Casserole I asked if I can get this al dente, I was told yes. It was not, I speculate they cook a big batch of spaghetti then stick it in the oven when it is ordered. The marinara sauce was bland. If I dined in I would have sent it back. Hard no on this. Rate 2 Garlic Bread This came warm, not toasted at all. It comes toasted at other Roma's. Used to come to Romas often for lunch since I worked nearby. But I haven't been for a few years since I no longer work in the area. Late last week I was craving pizza and decided to drive out of my way to grab a pizza here. I was going to get some pizza to go but everyone was so friendly and the restaurant had tables available so I decided to dine in. The booths are comfortable and the ambiance reminiscent of old Italian restaurants. I ordered a small combination (minus salami, add garlic) and a side house salad. Also ordered a small Hawaiian pizza to go for my husband. The pizza was soooo good! The crust was crispy on the bottom, soft and chewy in the thicker parts and loaded with toppings. And huge! The side salad was good, plenty of greens topped with slices of salami, cheese and pepperoncinis. Thousand island dressing was great on the salad but also great as dipping sauce for the crust. Took home my leftover pizza and re-heated leftovers in my air fryer along with a couple of slices of the Hawaiian pizza for my husband. Pizzas were still delicious! Small pizza about the size of medium at other restaurants. So we had pizza for a few days. I totally recommend Romas for their pizzas and I recall their pastas were delicious as well. My boyfriend and I were super excited to try Roma II Pizzeria after looking at all the reviews. We live so close by but we never knew Roma II Pizzeria was here. We came for Saturday dinner and it was a full house! Luckily we didn't wait too long and were seated shortly. I just want to mention that the staff here is super sweet and friendly! They even told us to wait for the pasta to come out so we can take a picture of all the food together. We definitely ordered too much but that only meant more leftovers. (: We shared the Giuseppe Special Pizza and Half and Half with red sauce and pesto. Note, it is extra if you don't get the same sauce for the pasta. The food came out shortly! I was starving and instantly dug into the pizza (not a good idea because it was HOT). The pizza crust had a good thickness and I loved all the toppings on top. Seriously no complaints. I came to Saramento today to visit my cousins. She lives close to Roma II, I offered to bring pizza for lunch. A little side story, I came here a couple times when I had staff in Sac. First time here I thought I'd tasted this pie before and had their salad. Second time I was certain. Asked the cashier if they were familiar with Naples in Vallejo. She laughed, they are cousins. The ranch has to be just as good as the pizza for me to give it a 5 star. I don't know if their ranch is homemade or not. One word...Yum. We have been to Romas on Franklin blvd and patronized their other family locations called Napoli's in Vacaville and Vallejo. Every location serves excellent neighborhood type food. So we had to try this location on Folsom blvd. And i have to say, it is even better than the Romas located on Franklin blvd in ambience and array of menu items offered. So what did we order 1) Gluten free pie: sausage/onions/mushroom-outstanding for a gluten free pie. The diner that demolished this pie has a gluten allergy. She said this pie was "fire" and was one of the best gluten free pies she has ever had. 2) Giuseppe Pie: wow. the outside crust was soft, chewy, and had the texture of a freshly made bread. Some may prefer a more crunchy thin crust but this pie was heaven. Now for the ingredients: sauce was not over bearing, the produce was fresh (green peppers were not mushy), the sausage flavor was mild and didn't over power the pie, the other meats were piled on and you can tell they were of quality. would order this again without hesitation...maybe even tomorrow! 3) all meat pie: another wow. the outside crust had more texture in crispness but was still good. The quality of meats were very good. yet another winner for carnivores. 4) meat balls:side order. they were meaty and had a flavor/texture of mainly beef. if they added a filler, i couldn't tell.
