Don't go to this place. They installed remote start and when I used it, it wiped out my chip in my key. Had to pay $200 for replacement and they didn't pay for it. After all that, the remote start didn't even work. They said my car didn't support it AFTER they installed it. read more

The people were nice but I that is not enough to recommend this shop. My appt. was at 3pm and they didn't start with my car until about 40 min later. I sat there a little over 3 hours waiting and had given specific instructions that I wanted the 24 min run. I had purchased the $129 groupon but ended up paying about $330 altogether. Something about a bypass, an upgrade and misc charges. Got home and the next day found that the remote start shuts off after 12 min not 24 min. I am mostly upset because before I drove the car off the lot I asked if they had done it at 24 min and they said yes. Now I have to go back to get this fixed and who knows how long I will have to be there again. NOT HAPPY at all. read more

Had my car tinted here. Went with the NR Supreme which is suppose to be the higher end tint, but seems like i rather had just went with the cheaper one. That way my expectation wouldn't be that high. I paid more than i should have and the tint job just was just ok.. There was a hair in my rear window tint and also a spot they super glued a crease down. Was not the worst thing ever. A week after i finally rolled down my window and noticed that one of the 4 windows had a gap between the top of the window and the tint that was larger than any of the others. I went in and it seemed like such a hassle to get them to replace it. One employee try to convince me that it was not a big deal and shouldn't be bother. i later talked to the person that tinted the car and he also suggested not bothering with it but he was also was willing to re do it. After the re tint of that car i went home and noticed that there was a lot of scratches from the tool they used to press down the tint. I went straight back to get the same window re tinted again. Now i am starting to notice that all of my windows have some sort of scratch on tint. Some have really long ones and others having multiple one inch scratches trough the whole top of the window. Do not really want to go back to complain about scratches on each window and small perfections throughout the tint job, it would just be a headache. I cant really suggest this place because my friend got his car tinted at a different shop and it looked nearly flawless. read more

First they say to arrive early because its first come first served. I was the third customer there yet my car was one of the last ones to be done. Second, they made a mistake with my bill. at first one person said it was ok but suddenly a man, whom I'm figuring was the owner looked at the bill and made them re do the bill again cause there was a $12 difference. That alone does not bother me, what bothers me is that this man was very rude, made his employee feel bad (in front of a customer mind you). Never even acknowledge me to at least explain the situation. I have one more car that I wanted to get the windows tinted on and my brother in law and a friend are looking for a place to tint their car windows....I will not be recommending them to this place because of this guy. Absolutely terrible service. They guarantee their tint with a lifetime warranty, yet when I left after first getting it installed they said "Your front window had a lot of trouble, so it probably won't work, bring it back and we'll fix it." After not rolling or touching the window for THREE WEEKS, I rolled it down and boom, it peeled. Since I live an hour away, I went on a Saturday after confirming they were open, with the receipt, and they TURNED ME AWAY. They said they "don't do work for free on weekends" and I had to bring it by during the week and wait for it to be done. Don't say you're open on Saturdays when I buy the tint if you're not actually going to honor the lifetime warranty on that day! They also don't have any sort of database, it's pretty pathetic. If you don't have the actual receipt, they won't honor any sort of warranty (Best Buy and other reputable stores have actual records now, not sure if Hot Tint has heard of "the internet" or data backups). DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. THEY ARE AN UNPROFESSIONAL OUTFIT THAT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. read more

Both my husband and I purchased deals on livingsocial.com for the Remote Start for our vehicles. We drove up to Maryland from Virginia and had remote starters installed in both cars by Alex. While we were waiting, Nicky was nice enough to offer to take us to the mall while we waited for our cars to be serviced because we had our six year old daughter with us. This kind gesture helped exceed all expectations that I had. Nicky drove us to the mall and called us when our cars were done, which was approximately just 2 1/2 hours later (ahead of schedule). STAY AWAY!! I bought a Living Social deal and called 5 times to make an appointment and was never able to make one during the deal dates. I finally went to the shop two weeks before the deal was to end...what a mess!! It wasn't the kind of mess you see in your typical shop that has too much stuff in to small a space...it was junk and filth with a bunch of guys that stared at me yet said nothing. When someone finally came to wait on me I told him I was there because of the Living Social deal and he said we have no openings for this install for at least another 2 months. I asked what I was supposed to do, the deal was expiring and he told me no prob we will take care of you. He then bombarded me with extra costs even though he didnt know what vehicle i was having it installed on. I then clued him to the fact the i was having it done on a base model F 150 that had no bells and whistles, not even power locks. Then he started making stuff up about the key having a computer chip so i would still need all the extras. I then asked him about some speakers which she tried to sell me for $20 more than the price on the pioneer box. He didn't have a clue about what he was selling. All I can say is that I originally bought this as a gift for someone with a brand new car which I quickly changed my mind about but hoped to salvage my money and get it on the truck but after going there, I figured it was better to lose the $129 then to have them destroy any vehicles. read more

I specifically asked them to insure that the window tint that was being installed was no less than 25 percent because I was moving to Texas very soon. They told me that they can only get the window to 28 percent and it will pass a Texas state inspection. Well when I took my car in for inspection in Texas they told me that my window tint was at 20 percent!!! I failed the inspection and because I'm no longer in MD I will have to pay for it to be redone. This place is horrible. read more

The bad reviews are all accurate. Hate that I didn't believe them before purchasing my Groupon. As others have experienced, they will add ridiculous additional charges. They charged me $20 for each for a quarter sized window on my SUV. I've had my windows tinted on different cars before and no one has ever charged me for that. They should at least mention it. I also believe that the $99 is a scam to get you into their doors, you will end up paying way more than expected. You have been warned. read more

Unreliable, trying to buy an install a car radio on 4/18, promise to call me back on 4/20 because it was missing one wiring harness, never hear of them until may after i send a letter requesting my money in back on. For $84 car radio, they invoice $276. They ask for a $50 deposit, after 15 days no word from them. Crutchfield delivery radio and accessories for free the next day. read more

Came for my appointment and the people at the desk were very friendly and courteous, explained the upgrade cost and additional charge for the quarter windows. Their waiting room has coffee and wifi. Terrible shop, wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They over charge for everything, they were telling me that Led headlights are the brightest in the market but they sold me the worst Led kit (U3 plus led light 4000 lumen kit) this kit is $94.95 online with free shipping. But William charged me $200 for the kit and $200 for labor. I was very disappointed with the kit (very dim), I called and talked to the owner to see if they can swap it for a bright HID kit instead, since the Led kit they sold me wasn't bright at all. He said no, and was arguing with me that Led's are way better, not understanding that their kit was the worst Led kit. I gave up and went to Space8ge Creations, they did an excellent job and a lot cheaper. Very happy with Space8ge Creations. read more

I had a living social deal. The service worker was rude and impatient. It seemed I was bothering him with my business/money. The other guy was much nicer but he was not really attending us. I have only had the work done for a few days and everything works fine. I am giving only 1 star because of their attitude which for me says a lot and also because after I bought the "deal", I called to set the appointment and they said it would be $100 more. He said "oh they didn't tell you". Who are "they"?. I've had living social for a few years now and have never had a company that sneaked in a charge like that(nothing mentioned a possible charge on their information for living social). I purchased a living social deal online for the remote start. I arrived at 12 as my appointment stated. I waited over 3 hours for them to finish, I think they have maybe one person doing the installation at a time... me and another guy walked in at the same time he left an hour and a 1/2 before me as they didn't start my car until they were done with his. They were all very polite and nice to me. They told me because of my car system I had to upgrade so I was prepared to pay an extra $175 even though it ended up being near $200 with taxes and fees. Service was fine. The employees are polite. The waiting room is just a table with two uncomfortable chairs, they do have wifi though. If they maybe cleaned up the shop where customers walk in a bit and added cushioned chairs I would not have minded waiting 3 hours. So I am satisfied with the product and the staff but the experience could have definitely been better. read more

Found them on Facebook marketplace offering install, with bypass for $195. made contact via FB to set appointment and was told to call and set appointment for next week. Called to set an appointment and left a message. No one ever returned my call. CAlled again about a week later and after lots of phone ringing got someone. Told them about the ad and they said let us verify. We have tons of ads out. Verified ad was good and then asked about car make and model. I have an old car, so they had to look some stuff up to see if they could do it. Found they could but recommended an upgrade as the FB deal was just for basic start and that was it. I declined. AFter lots of back and forth and holding we set an appointment. Was told I had to pay $20 to hold my spot. Was transfered to someone else to make the appointment but they did not ask for $20. Set appointment. They called the day before appointement to confirm. I dropped my car overnight and they called at my appointment time to ask again about upgrading. I declined. They called about 2 hours later to say my car was ready. Went to pick it up and paid, but no receipt was provided (my husband paid) and didn't ask for one, but they should have provided one. Got a quick run down on how to use the fob. Tried it, it worked and we left. So, far okay. I will follow up once I've had the system for a bit. it's cold outside and I hope it works as expected. It's some brand I have never heard of and I googled it on line. Walmart carries it for $50 with two fobs, but I only got one fob. I also was told my car needed a bypass, but that was all included in the $195 charge. So, with parts, bypass and labor I think $195 was a fair price. My major complaint would be not returning my initial call. But I'm sure they are busy as far as I could see when I was there and that played a part. read more

Went to get my front two windows tinted. Service was fairly fast. After I left, I noticed gaps were present in my window and I could see where the tint began and ended. Very sloppy job...I called the shop back to complain and was told "Infiniti truck windows are just like that". I wish they would have told me that they use a computer to cut the film. I get all my cars tinted and recently moved to this area and picked Hot Tint since it's about 10-15 from my home. After I was told the windows are just like that, informed him that I've had many of my nissans tinted and NEVER had an issue with gaping. He asks me to come back to the shop so he could take a look, then offers to re-do the job after I asked...his first response was the service is already done. I would have had to wait another hour and a half. I could not wait since I had to pick my daughter up from school. I rescheduled, then decided I did not want to waste my time coming back with my toddler and possibly reliving the same scenario again. I told them I was unhappy with the first service and did not want to waste my money and time to be unhappy with the new service. They never tried to keep my business or even showed sincerity. They ripped the tint off my windows, cleaned them poorly, and I was on my way. If you want quality work, I defiantly do not recommend them. read more

I have to agree with most of the other reviews online. This is a questionable place. I bought the Groupon for the remote started for $99. When making the appointment I was told that I need to also have a bypass module installed for another $100. These module are simple boxes that just hold a key and sell on line for $10. I asked the shop and they said that I could buy my own module but they would charge me $75 to install it. My appointment was scheduled far in advance for 3:00 PM but they didn't start the car until 4:00. The installation went well but I was surprised to have an extra $25 fee tacked on to my bill for shop fees and disposal. I asked the owner about the fees and he first said that that the fee was mandated by the state of MD than I kept pressing and he finally admitted that HE set the fee rate at 13% based on his research of what other shops charge. I would think that these 'charges' would have been included in the cost of installation... I asked him what this covers and he started with BS like the cost of electrical tape and tie wraps... Basically the groupon will get you in but they will find a way to charge you in other ways. I would go somewhere else. read more

I have never had so many issues with tint in my entire life until I went to this place. It's Awful. Do not recommend to anyone. Brought my truck here for tint on the two drivers windows, when my truck was returned there was dust and debree covering the outside, finger prints everywhere. And my window visor (that was not broken before I brought it in) came out broken. And they got a major attitude at me for saying something about it. Also the tint had a huge gap at the top of the window that was different on both sides. Then a month later, after tints were properly cared for, both front windows in my truck peeled completely up. They were very helpful and insisted I brought the vehicle back to them instead of going somewhere else. (Bad idea on my behalf) I brought my vehicle back for the them to correct the problem, and they were EXTREMELY rude. I had taken my dogs on a trip earlier so there was some dog hair in the truck, they called and said they had some issues with it clinging to the windows. I offered to take it to be vacuumed out and brought back another day. They didn't feel like having to deal with that so instead said "if there's anything in the window it's not our problem" and insisted on being rude and degrading about the dog hair and actually made fun of us to customers sitting right beside us!! The unprofessionalism and immaturity of the employees at this business is very disappointing, not including their inability to install tint correctly. read more

had my suv windows tinted using a groupon voucher which cost me $119. i hat to wait two weeks to bring my car in , am surprised this people stay this busy with such poor customer service, when i called to make the appointment the person on the phone was very abrupt & sounded angry, as if he was doing me a favor for booking my appointment. when i finally came to the shop, the place looked disorganized & their waiting area is by no means spacious, i felt very confined not for someone who is claustrophobic, after almost three hrs the job was finally done. i was pleased withe the work done on my car, but not with all the fees & high % tax rate that are not mentioned on the specifications of the voucher, i ended paying another $101 in total $220 which is the regular price they charge ,their advertisement on groupon is just to lure you in , it looks like a good deal but ultimately you end up paying the regular price. i wold not recommend this place to anybody unless you are prepare to deal with people that lack customer service skills and are miss leading on their rates. read more
