Don't buy from Hotwheelcity.com or their stores or Mudster wheels. After three weeks of dealing or trying to deal with them they just give you around the run around and hope you go away. Called both regional offices to no avail. I bough tires and wheels from them last August and love the way the truck looks. One of my rims developed a small leak. Trying to figure out what to do I contacted them and they haven't given me any straight answers. Can't get a replacement, two rim repair places won't touch it. read more

I am so happy with my experience at this location! My mom and boyfriend took me in to pick out a new set of rims for my car as a present. We first went to another location at 13540 E 8 mile and we were not happy with the service we received. They seemed very preoccupied and uninterested in helping us much with our search. At first I had picked out a set of rims from a wall they told me I could choose from. When I chose a style from there I said I loved they said they couldn't do those for my car. We then decided to try out a different location which is this one at 14711 8 mile rd.  As soon as we arrived a very nice guy named Terrn was ready to help us on our search. He personally pointed out every option I had to choose from for my car. I ended up being torn between two different styles so he insisted that we take them out to my car to see what I thought would look best. He carried the rim outside and put it up to my car and then I automatically knew which one I wanted. While my car was being serviced they asked if we wanted anything to drink. They were fast and efficient with the service and I am very happy with the outcome. I definitely recommend checking out their options and I hope you find what works for you too! read more

This place is bottom of the barrel and a huge rip off. They do not stand by their product and are based on complete lies. I would rather walk, then purchase anything from this company. I purchased a leveling kit, after market wheels and tires. The whole ordeal was a complete disaster and is to this day. 4300 dollars later and I'm sol. Now I have to go to a reputable tire company to have my tires properly mounted and balanced because hot wheel city wants 50.00 a tire to "attempt" to do it right this time. I don't know how this place stays in business but my guess is they won't be much longer. Don't let the flashing neon lights fool you and do your self a favor.... run for the hills. read more

No worries, because Hot Wheel City is still open. In fact, they may be the only tire shop in the area that stays open until 8. Aside from their evening hours, their service is another reason to visit. Prompt, polite and professional. From the moment I called to the moment I drove away, I was taken care of. My only minor complaint is that they didn't clean the whitewall of my tire before I left. Not that I would ever put rims on my vehicle ( I find the addition of rims to be a little immature, flashy and sometimes tacky). But I have cousins in their 20's. Need I say more? One of my cousins asked me to go with him to check out this rim store. OK. Sigh. I knew this place sold rims but when you walk into a store and that's all they have it's a bit overwhelming. I was glad I went though. I gained a lot of insight as to why people purchase rims, what kind you should buy and price ranges. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone, the reason why? They DO NOT have a car lift. The practices of using car jacks to lift up the car were done poorly. As only one side of the car was lift putting pressure on the suspensions and alignment on the other side. And they DO NOT tighten you lug nuts based on the manufacturer torque setting. This could potentially strip your lug nuts and could possibly be dangerous because of problems down the road. I regret coming here sorta because my car was new. Some paint on the bottom of the car was chipped off from the car jack, OMG... Please be aware. read more

So I went to the 32451 Dequindre Road; Madison Heights, MI store and bought a set of rims and tires for my truck a 2004 Silverado. I was treated great until they got my money! I asked how long it would take and was told an hour. The first hour and a half go by with my truck in front of store with old rims and tires laying on the ground and my truck up on jacks and no employees around. "I was not the only one there either another Caucasian man was waiting with me for about the same time. Well we watched 3 other no Caucasian people come in to the store well after both of us and get right in and out with in a half hour each. It may have been that these other people had appointments but the way I was treated I suspect not. So 2 and a half hours in to the waiting and the sales man is no where to be found truck still on jacks. I see them up front doing a photo shoot with their Phantom and no one seems to care about the customers that have been waiting for the last few hours. Finally after 3 and a half hours my truck is done I get on the freeway to take the hour drive home and my truck starts shaking horribly at 70 miles an hour. I have had it with Hot wheel city and dont want to drive back. So I take it to my local Bell tire who does all my mechanical work, and have them pull the tires off and check them for balance. They take me to the balancing machine and show me that I just bought bad tires I could see everyone of the brand new tires wobble. the machine they tested them on had a computer readout and showed that all tires had flat spots on them. At that point a computer did not need to tell me that i got ripped off. I could clearly see it with my own eyes. Basically one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, if Detroit is going to make a come back we have to get rid of the trash in it and companies like Hot wheel City will never hep our city grow. This place is horrible. I waited 2 hours to get tires and rims that cost $2300 on my truck after they said it would be a half hour. The scratched the rims that they took off my 2015 Sierra as well. After I drive the truck the tires they sold me were so big they were running on the fender flairs and damaged them after I had just spent $1200 on the flairs. My experience with Hot Wheel City is as follows, I have an AMG Mercedes and wanted a high end wheel. I was interested in Forgiato, They pushed a Rucci wheel because they told me Forgiato chrome peels off and no one wants them any more. So I said okay , Ill buy the Rucci I also needed tires to go with these he worked me up a price and told me a would be getting a good tire. 35 days later when the wheels arrived I went to pickup my wheels (mind you its a 3 hr drive Im from Ohio) He shows me my wheels there not in a box they are already sitting on store rack. They look great but I ask to see the tires so I can make sure what I'm getting. He ask for the rest of my money (I did 50 / 50) I pay the guy and then I wait 2 hrs no tires. He then informs me I must drive over to another store to get my tires. He tells me I'm getting a Falken tires. When I arrive this store they pull a "bait and switch" They try to tell me they don't have my size in Falken but they do have it in a Gianna. I say what ???? What the heck is a Gianna tire. I want the Falken, they tell me no you cant have them because they want to charge me another 480.00 after I was already told I was getting the Falken. They gave me no other option take the Gianna. So I spent another hour of my time. Then after the sale I find out that Rucci is there in house brand that the owner Nick Abouna started. So they bash the other brands to sell you his brand Rucci. They claim Rucci is the best but they forced me to put a cheap Chinese tire on my expensive Rucci wheels. Only if I paid them more money would I be able to have the Falken tire. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH AND TOTALLY UNETHICAL IN MY OPINION. I was ganged up on by the employees at the 32451 Dequindre Road; Madison Heights, MI store. There was no way they were going to delivery what I was promised by my salesman at the 8 mile location. What A JOKE!! These guys are not experts - They are Crackpots!! First of all I left three emails on their website and no one ever reponded. Next, I called to explain I just need a set of Center Line or American Racing wheels and the guy on the other line said they were experts. He said we can configure wheel size, backspacing, and evertyhing I would need. Well, i went in to speak to an EXPERT and he had no idea what I was talking about. I just want some 15" or 16" wheels for my 91 Camaro. Silly rabbit, they don't care anything under 18". Ok, can we order some, he said. Great! But to my surprise - he quoted me $1500 (out the door) OOHHH! for a set of Center line rims that are available for $150 a piece on line. I guess there is nothing like trying to make $900 profit on one sale. To make this experience even worse, that price was just for the wheels - NO TIRES- because they only deal with on tire dealer - they could not provide tires (The one their brother owns, I assume). I couldn't believe they had no idea what racing tires and good ol' American muscle cars are all about. I guess if you want to ride Phat on 32's they could be your best bet. But don't expect them to be smart or helpful - they are just a bunch of guys trying to sell shit on a plate and make it look good. The staff and sales people are paid off commission and have no idea what there talking about when it comes to tires or wheels, all they are about is selling you a package and sending you on your way. Needless to say if there is any problem after the purchase, your up the creek with out a paddle, they don't have the time to help you with your problems that they created in the first place. Like Tire Balance's and returns/exchanges.They will try to sell you a wheel with a tire that isn't worth anything other then scrap rubber from China. They will tire to sell you a Delante tire from China, that is barely DOT approved and has the worst safety ratings you can nearly get from a tire.The sales staff is your typical salesman that will tell you everything you want to hear, but its all lies. Hot Wheel City doesn't know no clue about customer service or taking care of the customer. They are a bunch of amateurs and crooks. PLEASE don't allow yourself to be scammed by all the bling, because they will Screw you and lie straight to your face just to sell you a wheel.
