We were not at all pleased with our stay at this hotel. The only positive things we can say are the location, shower and bed were good. These are the demerits: * Poor check-in. Our keys did not work and the desk clerk was not clear about where to park. He said the lot to the south would be off limits, but did not say the street in front would also be closed off at 5am on Sunday. He did not mention anything about breakfast. * The windows are dirty and difficult to use. They are in need of maintenance. * Street noise. * Curtains difficult to use to block out city street lights. * A tiny, low height toilet like one might find in an elementary school. * No face cloths. Only 1 bath towel per person, no extras. * Reading lights, over the bed, are improperly placed and ineffective. * The air conditioning is a floor unit by the couch. * Stair case is dingy. * Funky elevator. * Large couch so no end tables and 1 rickety reading lamp. * Other hotels, where we have stayed, had a small table and two armchairs. Nothing like that here. We had a room with a separate area for seating. For $435 we expected far better. read more

Spent one night at this hotel, and it did not disappoint. The hotel kept a lot of their vintage life, but had enough upgrades to spend a comfortable night. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the room was huge. It was almost the equivalent of a two bedroom. The bed was comfortable, and so where the pillows. The heated floor in the bathroom was definitely a plus. I wasn't too trilled about their breakfast food but they had plenty of options for coffee syrups and teas. First and foremost, I will commend the staff for their positive attitudes and attentiveness. It's important to note that the Victorian Era was between 1840 and 1900. The City of Astoria requires that any business use its legal name in all advertisements, including Airbnb listings, so as not to mislead the public. I give special tribute to Ingrid, who works in the wine bar. She's personable, professional, and very enjoyable to interact with. However, this property, as they advertise on Airbnb, is not a Victorian property as they described. This false description was a deciding factor for me to stay at the Elliott Hotel, which they do not mention. Had I known that it was a hotel--which was horribly overpriced--I would have gone elsewhere. I was assigned the wrong room. In the ad with Airbnb, it stated (with a picture that was very attractive) that this was my room until I arrived at the Elliott Hotel, constructed in 1924. This is misleading information. The Victorian Era was between 1840 and 1900. When I read "Victorian property," I was under the impression it was a Victorian home built in the 1880s or 1890s, with elaborate carpentry and design. When I initially arrived in Astoria on the 17th, I was surprised to discover it wasn't what I thought. Things started escalating from there. When I told the front desk that I had booked through Airbnb and that I had prepaid, they told me at that time that they don't have a relationship with them. Immediately I was ill-informed. I corrected them, saying, "You do have a relationship with them; otherwise, I would not be here." Even though I prepaid $235.00 for the first night, I was charged twice. The unauthorized transaction caused a significant problem, which was resolved on the spot the following morning, very early. I want to commend Atticus for bringing a quick resolve by reversing the charges on the spot when I brought it to his attention. Nevertheless, this is something that should never happen, especially when they were informed the day before that the room was prepaid. When I expressed my concerns the next day, they would not inform me who made the error, and they did not take responsibility for their actions. Instead, they blamed Airbnb. And there was no apology. As a customer, I was terribly misrepresented and, at the same time, insulted by management. When a guest experiences such a significant setback, there should be an immediate apology. I suggest that anybody reading this review do their due diligence in finding an Airbnb that offers great value for every dollar spent. Because of the ad, I doubled my budget, thinking that I was staying in a beautiful Victorian property--but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I would recommend that you keep looking. It's one thing to pay $225.00 for a room, but it's another thing not getting the room which Airbnb promised. When I brought my concerns to the front desk, they made excuses, took no responsibility for their actions, and again offered no apology. The same happened when they made an unauthorized payment after I had already prepaid. The Elliott Hotel management may argue they reversed my charges--but they were obligated to. This should have never happened, especially when I told them the room was prepaid. I have a right to know the name of the person who made the error, but they kept that a secret. Apparently, the City of Astoria requires that a business use its legal business name in any advertisement. It did not appear in the Airbnb ad that I read. Naturally, staff blamed Airbnb rather than admitting they were at fault. Unfortunately, because of the circumstances, I had no choice but to stay a second night. I've gone back and forth about writing a review. I wanted to wait and see if management would return my family's calls about our horrible check-in experience, but they never returned our attempts to contact them. Checking into the Hotel Elliot was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. (I travel all the time for work and have felt more welcome at holiday inn's) The Bowline Hotel nearby has the AMAZING customer service that The Hotel Elliot lacked. You're just steps away from the Liberty Theater for events and performances, down the street from tons of great restaurants and obviously there's the Riverwalk. The hotel itself has unparalleled character - always feels posh but also approachable. I have loved staying here when I was a visitor and now that I live locally it's my go-to recommendation for people coming to Astoria. The staff are super friendly and care a ton about both their guests and the broader community. They are supportive of local non-profits, contributing both time and donations to local fundraising, and supportive of local events - even hosting workshops for the FisherPoets Gathering. When you stay here you can feel good that you're supporting a local business that is invested in a vibrant downtown business community. Such a gem! read more

My husband and I booked the Elliot for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We stayed for two nights in the Executive Suite. I booked the hotel because the location is unbeatable if you want to be able to walk around and visit the bars and breweries in town for an affordable price. As a bonus we checked out on Sunday so we got to also hit up the farmer's market! The hotel is nicely updated while still maintaining it's original charms. There is only one elevator, of which both the cleaning staff and guests use, so at times it can take a minute or two for the elevator to arrive, never too long to be a bother though. Every single hotel staff member we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful when needed. The front desk was able to answer our questions and help guide us where to park since we were staying until the day of the farmers market and certain roads would be shutdown. You would think this would have been a bother, but it wasn't a big deal at all and we had zero issues parking thanks to their guidance. Our room was lovely. Exactly as pictured on their website with no surprises. The bed was comfortable too. I normally have issues sleeping away from home, but didn't have any issues sleeping at the Elliot. The bathtub was massive and the bathroom's heated tiles were a nice touch. We stayed on a weekend that was hot one day and cold the next so we used the AC one night and the fireplace another. Both worked wonderfully. There is a pool table, and gym, neither of which we got a chance to use. We did however get a chance to enjoy the rooftop lounge area which had a fantastic view of both the city and the water. We went up one morning and enjoyed mimosas that we made in our room, the next morning it was closed due to rain. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at this hotel. I will say something I thought of while eating breakfast was that the breakfast options are great for us, but our kids wouldn't have enjoyed it. They only offer the bland oats type cereal, no bagels just English muffins, toast, etc. and then eggs, fruit, and a meat item. Our kids would prefer more kid friendly cereal for breakfast. That's not a crazy important thing to mention, but I did in the event someone reading my review is bringing their kids and needs to plan for these things. Pros: I've seen other reviews here that say the rooms were a mess. With the issues this hotel seems to be going through right now I believe it, but ours was beautiful. The view was great, the bathroom was gorgeous, the bed was comfy. No problems at all with the room. Cons....... We booked three rooms on one reservation, each for two nights. The person who booked the rooms was not scheduled to arrive until 9:30p.m. The rest of us, there around 6p.m., were told that we can't check in until the person who books the room is present with ID and the credit card used to book the room. We offered to do whatever they needed in order to change the reservation to our names and check-in, but we were told "not possible. against our policy..." We were floored. We are standing at the front desk, holding our 4 year year old daughter, requesting a solution to what seems to be a perfectly solvable problem, and we were told "no". They told us we could cancel the reservation and re-book under seperate names, but this would incur a cancellation fee equal to the price of the first night of our reservation. In the end, this is what we were forced to do, being that it was an event weekend in astoria, there were limited optoins available elsewhere, and it was past time for our 4 year old to get to bed. In the morning I spoke with a different front desk attendant, Landon. He was incredibly kind, and after I explained the situation he told me this was entirely avoidable. There IS a mechanism to solve this problem, and we were not offered or allowed to use it the night before. We were treated as if we were trying to defraud the hotel out of a night stay. We tried MANY times to talk to a manager and were told the manager only communicates by e-mail with guests. In the morning I requested a phone call from the manager to sort out what happened, and find out why we were not offered the solution that Landon told me about - no follow up. A message to the owners/managers/stakeholders: Take a look at the last six months or so of reviews. The issues that we ran into, especially related to speaking with a manager, come up repeatedly. You have a management issue on your hands. The policies that your front desk are enforcing have zero humanity to them, and your guests are being treated as if they are unreasonable at best, or criminal at worst. At the end of my re-booking process I was told (and this is verbatum) "I'm doing you a favor by letting you stay tonight. I was given the authority to remove you from the hotel." I wonder if this authority was given by phone, or by e-mail? If you want to stay in a nice hotel in Astoria, book the Bowline. We cancelled the rest of our stay at Hotel Elliott, stayed at the Bowline, and had the type of experience one would expect from a hospitality-driven organization. read more

Hotel is a nicely remodeled to historical period hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was extremely quiet snd the bed was very comfortable. Pandemic restrictions made things a bit awkward, not any fault of the hotel. The wine bar was closed and the included morning breakfast was served as a pick up and take to your room. I understand with the price range of this hotel that I would not be expecting a gourmet breakfast experience and the pandemic restrictions made providing a take to your room bagged meal a difficult proposition for the business. However, the choices offered in the way of boxed cereal, cellophane wrapped muffins and instant oatmeal( although it was Bobs Red Mill oatmeal) left us feeling that a little more effort and thought could have made it a lot less cheap seeming. Even though our room faced a side-street, we weren't fussing. The side-street view was still nice. We looked out on the hills behind the town and enjoyed the sight. The room was quaint and very comfortable. What I really enjoyed was the lobby dining room (breakfast) and the rooftop terrace where we enjoyed a bottle of wine while warmed by the natural gas fireplace. There was a glass wall around the terrace that let us see the wonderful view but also blocked some of the cold breeze coming from the ocean. I bought one of the white coffee cups with the HE logo on the last day of our stay. I still drink daily coffee out of it every morning, years later. We lived in Ky for a year, the whole time I was longing to return to live in the PNW so we could come back to Astoria and stay at the Hotel Elliot. I may not have described some of the memorable feelings we have about the hotel but all of them are warm. We can't wait to come back! read more

We were in a king-sized room but it was an ergonomic nightmare. The bathroom has barely enough counter space for a toothbrush so you will have to store razor, shaving cream, deodorant, dental floss and any other toiletries someplace else. The electrical outlets are already taken by clock and lamp so you need an industrial size extension cord with multiple outlets to charge your devices. There is a minuscule dresser and a small desk that you will need to use as storage. read more

I loved most things about this hotel: the location & walkability, the old time charm, the rooftop terrace, the nice breakfast and staff. But there were a few downsides: there's no parking and there's time limits for street parking, which is not great if you plan to park and walk everywhere. The bed was so firm it hurt my back and hips, but I sleep on a tempurpedic at home. The air conditioning unit in our room was a portable unit and the hose came detached from the vent during the night causing the room to overheat. Overall, the good outweighed the bad. The parking situation was enough to remedy by parking a few blocks up the hill in a no time limit zone. However, having to walk that far would make it a nightmare to travel with my toddler and all of her gear. read more

Beware of this hotel. I stayed the night of Saturday 7/12/25. The hotel has no onsite parking. I parked right in front of the hotel entrance, there were no signs regarding parking whatsoever. I checked in and the front desk agent did not tell me they tow cars away in the early Sunday morning for a farmer's market. I went out Sunday morning to get something from my car and a different front desk agent saw me go to and from my car. Did not bother to take off his headphones to mention that I should move my car. When I went to check out my car was gone. A new front desk agent said "they didn't tell you?" He gave me the managers business card, Trish Glass. I have called so many times as well as emailed and she will not respond. Wrote to the district manager, Michelle Hannah and no response either. The tow truck driver said the weekend before 3 hotel guests had their cars towed. I am upset about the $220 I had to pay to get my car back but I am also upset that I cannot even speak to someone at the hotel. Even if it is to let them know it would be helpful to put a sign on the desk letting people know not to park on the street out front. read more

A quaint and historic building in downtown Astoria, the Hotel Elliott was fairly nice. It's a boutique hotel so it may not be as fancy as chain ones. First of all, the location can not be beat. It's central to everything. Parking was confusing as I couldn't find information on their website prior to arrival. There's a public lot next to it that offers free all-day parking EXCEPT on Sundays because of the market. Street parking is available everywhere, but there is a 2-hour limit from 9 until 6. Doing a bit of quick math, you can park on the street from 4 in the evening until 11 in the morning. The building is old and the rooms are small, but they did some updates in the rooms. There's heat and a roll-around cooling unit. Water pressure was great in the shower and they featured Aveda bath products! Even though the bed was comfortable, I wished they had better pillows. It's one of my pet peeves when hotels have pillows with loose filling that move to the sides. One is too flat and too is two tall. There is just no way to adjust it; moving the filling around is an exercise in futility as it always winds up on either side of my head by morning. I just end up with a crick in my neck. One thing they can add is a convenient bedside AC or USB plug. There was a wall plug but I would've had to move the bed away from the wall by 6 inches to use it. From the balcony, you can take in the town. I saw from the signs that it's opened for events and service during certain times of the year. Breakfast in the morning was good. During my stay, there was eggs Benedict, hash brown potato patties, cinnamon rolls, assorted mini-boxed cereals, yogurt and fresh whole fruit. 3.5 rounded to 4. read more

I was a very lucky winner in 2019 of a special Instagram contest by the Chamber of Commerce of Astoria. The grand prize was a gift folder with a free night stay at the Elliot. I stayed here last June for my mother's birthday. I am so glad to have won this celebration for my mother and I. Normally I typically stay at chain hotels due to credit card award program point systems. I would have never thought about staying here because of this. I absolutely loved our stay. The only downfall is street parking. We were able to find good parking though that was close. Our room was older and the bathroom was a bit small, but we did have a lovely view of the city and river. The highlight of the stay was seeing the secret rooftop deck which had beautiful views of the town. I also enjoyed our breakfast in the lobby. You can request what you want at check-in and pick it up the next morning. The room stay prices are reasonable, and definitely cheaper on the off seasons. We arrived at the hotel Elliott late around 10pm, after traveling all day we were exhausted and ready to rest. We parked right upfront and called to check on availability only to be told they have 2 NIGHT MINIMUM stay that is STRICTLY ENFORCED. It was the only hotel within the 30 miles radius that had rooms available. One would think customers service and guest accommodation would be a higher priority than a simple rule as well as having having income for one night is better than nothing. We called the next day and spoke with a very unapologetic manager, we will never consider or recommend this place to anyone. We will make to spread the word. read more

Beautiful historic hotel in Astoria with amazing service, awesome comfortable beds and super cute rooms. We stayed in room 501, a jacuzzi suite, for a quick romantic getaway in February and the stay was amazing! Even during COVID the staff was super friendly, the hotel was immaculate and despite the local riff raff and rude fellow guests who think their immune to public health policy everyone on staff kept a positive attitude and was exceptional. Ok I will preface this by saying we rolled into town during Covid and the hotel was just getting back on it's feet... Their Covid policies were well, confusing at best... We got in at 1:45, clearly too early for check-in, but every single hotel in Oregon was able to accommodate our sometimes early arrival (we were on motorcycles and never new what the road would throw at us). We asked if we could check-in early.. No. We asked if we could then at least leave our gear there.. No. We asked if we could at least use the bathroom.. No. Here's their reasoning... They can't let us into the room as long as their cleaning crew was on the floor... Uh??? Ok, well if we were already guests and wanted back into our room??? Uh.. "well that's our policy" is all she could say... Ok, what about the bathroom.. "well, then we'd have to clean it again"... uh.. customer service? Hmmm ok, once in, why are there no cups in the room for a glass of water? Well, again, we wouldn't know if you touched the cups and then we'd have replace them... Uh... ok now WTH.. there was no customer service here! Seems they want their guests to bear the Covid burden, more than they do? IDK, just how it felt. Finally, when we checked in they couldn't find our Expedia reservation.. neither could I initially... I later found it and showed the desk person my reservation for $10 less per night than they charged me ($10 is not going to kill me but an agreement is an agreement)... uh no, not here.. you'll have to email this to the manager.. really? I'm showing this to you.. you don't believe me? Ok... I emailed to the manager... nothing... a week later and no credit.. All in all, a cute place in the heart of town, walking distance to everything. If you want river views there are none, but that's the trade-off... I could live with their archaic Covid rules (they originally advised it was mandated State regulations.. when I told her we'd been traveling Oregon all week, and no hotel had these policies... she said "well, it's our policy"... I almost hesitate to review this hotel, because it's so wonderful I fear not being able to book a room! If one is staying in Astoria, there are other choices, but no equal to the Elliott. It's a beautiful historical building, lovingly kept but modernized in a stylish manner. The rooms are quiet & comfortable, the amenities are nice, we love the rooms with jacuzzi tubs. There is a pretty decent complimentary breakfast with excellent coffee. Hot drinks of various sorts (tea/coffee/cocoa etc. are available at the desk all the time)On the weekend evenings, there is a staffed wine bar with a small but well chosen selection. The staff are all wonderful, kind & efficient folks and the front desk is staffed 24/7. (No one wants to have to call the desk at 2am, but sometimes things happen-and it is very comforting to have a human answer) What is the best thing about the Elliott, you may ask? The location. One can walk pretty much anywhere in Astoria from here, and it's a very walkable town. Shopping, restaurants, museums, breweries, & the Liberty theater is on the opposite corner! In the summer, the farmer's mkt happens on Sunday on the very same street! Oh, and the rooftop deck has one of the best views of the Columbia I know of. read more

I'd give this place negative stars if I could. Very discourteous front desk clerk. I really needed to use the bathroom as I had an emergency. I offered to buy a glass of wine so as to be polite and not just use their bathroom. She haughtily told me the wine bar was not open and to go use the public restroom down the street (which ended up being CLOSED for maintenance). Some guy joked that I could scrub the floors. Stubbled by this beautiful hotel while looking for a restroom. While we were inside we noticed there was a little wine bar & of course had to get a glass of wine and enjoy the aesthetic of the hotel. Our bartender was this beautiful outgoing soul named Ingrid - her personality made the whole experience. Ingrid was so helpful with her navigations through the city and letting us know about all the best restaurants in town. I've stayed at this hotel twice and it is one of the better places in Astoria but it is lacking. Not only was the queen room over $300 after taxes, there were small annoyances with the room. For example, the coffee maker didn't work and the remote couldn't be used to advance channels. This latter issue was one the front desk said happens regularly because those buttons on the remotes are used so much. Really?! If you know it's a problem, buy better remotes. The reason for two stars is because of the treatment we received after returning from our anniversary dinner. We entered the lobby, greeted the front desk staff member who was not there when we checked in earlier that day. We walked to the elevator and she asked "you two are guests here?" We replied that yet we were. She said "okay, I just didn't recognize you so I thought I would ask". I showed my room key and she said "no no I trust you" and then proceeded to talk about the rooftop garden. It was odd, uncomfortable - and potentially racist given my husband's darker skin and ethnic features. It bothered my husband enough that night that we brought it up again in the morning and said he was considering writing an email to the manager. After spending nearly 5ish hours, trudging through traffic of Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia, and ridiculously low speed limits on the 101 near Raymond, we finally made it... just in time to fall asleep. What we found when we got there, on a quiet Friday night in Astoria, was a throwback to the 20's, the roaring 20's that is, the gilded age of quiet hotels, with comfortable (comfy) rooms. From the outside, you'd think it was a restored hotel from that era, with the glimmer of the township lights. After checking in, which was quick, we got into the elevator, and went up. Walking down the halls, instantly made me feel like I was in those neat black and white photos of that golden era. Never mind the electronic key card readers, once we stepped in, it was good. The room was clean, bed equally so. After tossing the bedcovers, walking into bathroom, we both noticed... HEATED BATHROOM FLOOR. Okay, that's a certain "+1" on the memorable scale. Off to bed. Morning, time for our "limited continental breakfast"... which was not that limited, but rather scrambled eggs, waffles, and a fruit compote/maceration. Sure it was all probably from a box, a couple hours before, but they did a good job with the presentation, and yogurt, milk, coffee, juice, and bread products; it was a hot breakfast. It was pretty good, more than what we expected. The fitness room was limited, but that's okay, one treadmill, one elliptical, a good set of dumbbells, medicine balls, and a small fridge of water. Oh yeah, a TV also. The roof deck is a good feature, and I bet one that not many people visit. They have limited seating, but on a sunny afternoon, it's perfection. I think it's a great place to rewind, and relax. The views are good. It's in the center of town, which means, walkable to everything. On Sunday, there is a farmer's market, which is literally outside the front doors. Recommendation: worth staying, and if I end up here again, I would probably stay here. read more

Cute hotel with a great location! We had a double queen bed suite for $189, not bad! It's right in the middle of downtown with tons of shops and restaurants to walk to. Nice comfy bed with fluffy pillows. We were lucky enough to be there on a sunny day so we ordered a bottle of wine from the front desk and headed up to relax on the rooftop garden. Great views! Went back up there around 9 at night to enjoy the gas fire pit but it was super dark up there, they need to add some string lights for sure. There is a continental breakfast is the morning (only from 7-9 am on the weekday so don't sleep in lol) and they had a big variety of food and drinks-yogurts, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, bagels, a fancy egg dish, hash browns and tons of juices. Not at all what I expected from the Yelp reviews or their website. The room we had was on the small side. Odd, awkward wardrobe took up a chunk of the wall and all that was in it was an ironing board. No dressers for our clothes, so we lived out of our suitcases which were either stuffed under the desk or on the floor. The decor in the room needs to be updated as the garish picture of mountains of dead fish doesn't really say sweet dreams. The old windows kept moving and hitting the wooden frames with the slighest breeze so on the first night, both of us kept waking up. No minibar or snacks, but there was a microwave. That doesn't really help when you're on vacation, people. While the bathroom was nicely decorated, it was small. My friend was happy that the floor was heated, and we were both happy that they had Aveda products. When we checked in, the gal at the front desk was friendly and pleasant. She really wanted to engage in conversation about current events at 1 am and we were both about to fall asleep on our feet after driving for hours, so we had to firmly get away from her. The person we saw at the front desk the rest of the time was totally unfriendly and just stared at her feet the rest of our stay. They have a great breakfast that comes with your stay each morning. The first morning we were there, we were starving and loaded up our plates. The bread was really good, along with the scrambled eggs and fried potatoes. They also had Greek yogurt, fresh fruit and sausage. They changed the food for the second morning, and we had waffles which were big and very good. The first morning, I walked up to the lady working the continental breakfast to tell her it was great and thank you. She gave a very dramatic eyeroll my way followed by a loud "hmph." My friend and I still use this "hmph" when we want to parody someone doing poorly in customer service. I was pretty surprised. I was even more surprised when a couple at another table told her thanks and she really kissed their butt and told them how it was because she was raised right. Oh really? We could hear perfectly the people in the rooms next to us since the walls are paper thin. No wifi at this place. Zero amenities or things to do at this place besides a chess board and a small wine bar which does nothing for me since I don't play chess or drink. I wouldn't return to this hotel in the future, all things considered. read more

wow, what a great place. A renovated old hotel in downtown Astoria, great character. We had a corner room on the north side which had an awesome view of the river, bridge, and west side of town. There's a roof patio to hang out and catch some more amazing views. I like that they don't overdo the luxury or boutique aspects of their business. Staff are very friendly. Continental breakfast was about the same as any motel/hotel, which I always skip and eat out. Very comfy bed. A good place for a romantic getaway. Parking is around the corner in the American Legion parking lot. The weekend Farmers Market happens right out front. There is wired internet in the room, which I didn't test, but I was able to access the city's free public WiFi network from my room. Also a cool little gas fireplace, TV/DVD player (all untested but they are there). read more

Hotel Elliot is a fancy hotel in the heart of Astoria. The location is nice... but is the hotel nice as well? You better believe it. My wife and I stayed here for one night for our one year wedding anniversary. From check-in to check-out, we were genuinely impressed with the place. The lobby is very nice and provides some free coffee. Our room was up on the fourth floor (the hotel is five floors). We opted to get the most basic of rooms, which was incredibly nice. Our room had a large, beautiful bed complete with feather-top mattress and feather pillows. The bedroom / living area was quite nice and very well kept up. We had some fantastic views from our room as well, with one window with a direct view of the bridge and the other of the river. The room is also equipped with a TV along with a DVD player; we were thankful, since we wanted to watch some Cosby Show DVDs while staying :) The bathroom was also very nice! It had heated tiles, which is just an added, "How sweet!" bonus. We had the opportunity to go to the rooftop where they have a nice little gathering spot. Up on the roof (which is open til 10pm, I believe) are some chairs to sit and soak in the view, a nice art piece, a firepit of sorts and (oddly enough) a little room up there that seemed like a small room you may be able to rent. There's a winebar downstairs for the evenings that also is the place for your continental breakfast in the mornings. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay. We had zero issues with Hotel Elliot and thought everything was presented very nicely. We'll be looking into coming back. read more

Just 5 stars for everything about this hotel. Staff was all super friendly and pleasant. 5 star breakfast variety. 5 star beds. Super cool rooms and building. Roof top area was super chill. It was also somehow the most quiet hotel ever. I never heard any other guests while we were there. Could be because I didn't see any other kids, our son was with us but he's almost 16. It seems like whatever renovations they did included some 5 star sound proofing. Really walkable area lots to explore too. Just the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Definitely would come back. read more

And so glad I chose to stay here that night! 1st time in Astoria, so it was cool to be able to walk around downtown. Cool coffee shop/music shop downstairs. Friendly staff, ultra-clean rooms. Only the Hotel Elliott will do in Astoria. Roaring 20's elegance coupled with modern convenience equals a fine hotel that feels like home. My partner used the workout room in the basement all 3 mornings while I lounged around in the plush bathrobe that hung waiting for me on the back of the bathroom door. Did I mention the heated bathroom floor? Or the giant walk-in shower? Mmm, pure luxury! The breakfast in the lobby looked really good, although we went out every morning instead. Parking on the street was easy. So many restaurants and bars are within walking distance. We even had a view of the Astoria Column from our bedroom window. Yes, we will be back! read more
