This place and staff were Amazing! After issues with an unclean/safe hotel in an unknown area, my group of 4 ladies were so thankful to find this hotel and check in after midnight. Mary at the front desk was so empathic and welcoming. We were exhausted and frazzled. She quickly checked us in, provided water and asked if there was anything she could do. The lobby was beautiful and welcoming. Every bit of this experience felt luxurious, clean and safe. The rooms were modern, spacious, fresh and comfortable. Mary was so friendly and helpful with all of our requests and shared recommendations. She greeted us daily with a smile and always asked if she could help with anything. We enjoyed drinks in the bar. The views and atmosphere were Fantastic. I wish we had more time to try all the accommodations the hotel had to offer. We will definitely book this place for conference next year.

Hotel Indigo is a really beautiful boutique hotel. It has a bit of both a mid-century modern vibe, mixed in with a modern vibe. Meeting up with my high school best friends, we wanted to pick a place where we could just park our cars and have our pick of nearby restaurants. This hotel and location fit that bill completely. We never had to go even a block to eat good food and we could walk the beautiful riverwalk when we wanted time away from our hotel room. The service was very friendly. With COVID, the staff is pretty limited though. There was no maid service; although, at any time we could request anything that we needed. The only negatives are that with all hard surfaces, it was really loud and echoey. I have one very loud friend and I'm sure everyone who shared either walls, floor, or ceiling hated us as neighbors. The bathroom door doesn't seal closed. It's a beautiful glass sliding door, but left little to the imagination when someone was using it. I would definitely stay here again though.

Room 406 - pvc pipe to help control the flooding -- it didn't really work

+1 star for the location - it is amazing. You can easily access everything in Naperville and there is ample free parking downtown. And the rooms are very large for a downtown hotel. Everything else is completely a bust. It is COVID and I think they're having severe staffing issues. We stayed 4 days and didn't have any kind of room service - they were prompt about getting us clean sheets to change our own bed (two young kids who are spill/accident prone so we had to do this twice during our stay). No place to put our trash nor a system to help empty rooms (we did do a lot of takeout due to Covid so it was a small mountain by the end of our stay - no solution was given). There is no room service or breakfast options (although there is an unaffiliated coffee shop on the first floor which was pretty good ($$$ though and limited options for me due to allergies so I ran to Target to pick up breakfast for the week). Front desk also seemed confused with a lot of our questions (ie grocery stores, neighborhoods, places to pick up things for our stay, etc). The biggest issue was the bathroom - we ended up in a handicap room we didn't request which was fine, but the bathroom had a pvc pipe glued to the floor to prevent flooding (not quite sure why it was open to begin with? Roll-in shower access is obviously prevented with the pvc now ...) The water splashed out and flooded the entire bathroom (the pipe didn't do much as it wasn't sealed on the end) and it was an inch of standing water that we had to sop up with towels. We called down and we got a message that they were coming up to take care of it, but no one came. And it was not a small flood. It was a busy trip so we did not have a chance to follow up. And it wasn't cleaned properly - old contacts were found on the floor (none of our guests wear contacts) and the floor was not exactly clean water when we mopped it up. Lighting was interesting in the room and the mood is definitely dark and moody - more lights would have helped at night as we could not see all corners of the room. Daytime was great with the view and large window for sunlight.

This is probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Ever! The hotel overall is very modern, clean, and spacious. The hotel staff is very friendly, and will go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay here. The location is ideal as there are many food options and attractions such as the Naperville Riverwalk within walking distance of the hotel - another huge pro to staying here. The room is very large, size wise, including the shower, with TALL ceilings. A mini fridge is also provided. The bed is also very comfortable. There is also FREE PARKING in an ATTACHED PARKING GARAGE. That is not easy to find in the Chicago area, so HALLELUJAH for this hotel! Housekeeping services are also provided every day. The only thing I will say about this hotel is that it is not as soundproof as you may think it is, so you might hear outdoor activities nearby, or even guests in adjacent rooms. This is partially because of the hardwood floors inside the rooms. Other than that though, this was a great stay here and I will no doubt stay here again when business brings me to the Naperville area again. Nice job, Hotel Indigo! Tip: another reason to stay here is that you will be provided with a 15-20% off coupon to use at select restaurants in Downtown Naperville. Don't forget to take advantage of that!

I attended a business meeting at the Indigo banquet hall and was impressed with the refreshingly unconventional and inviting facilities. Rather than the traditionally boring four walls and crystal chandelier banquet room, their event space is open with lots of windows overlooking the Naperville riverwalk and architecturally interesting ceiling. Although the event was catered, I didn't taste any of the food so can't comment on that aspect of their business. However, my interest is certainly piqued and may look for an opportunity to book a night to get the full experience.

After a long drive to Naperville, the first thing I wanted to do was sit down and relax. Thankfully, I came to the right place! Upon arrival in the lobby, I was greeted by friendly concierge staff and a comforting warmth providing refuge from the biting Illinois winter. The lounging space in the lobby seemed to be calling my name, and I couldn't resist sinking into one of the plush chairs while we waited to check in. Our room (the deluxe double queen bedroom) is huge and has enough mirrors and counter space for 3 girls who have to rush to get ready in the morning! The beds are so comfy...I predict a night of sweet dreams and deep sleep is in my future! The bathroom is equipped with complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body soap, basically all of the necessities you need if you happened to forget! Finally, the hotel room is definitely clean and up to health code, for which i am very appreciative!

This is a beautiful, modern hotel located in Naperville right next to the opening of the Riverwalk. It is located on a street that has a nice mixture of stores, such as a Mexican, pizza, spa, clothing store, etc. The concierge is very nice, as well as the room was great as well. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Naperville.

From the front desk to housekeeping, maintenance, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management everyone here works so hard and treats guests with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. I especially want to recognize Christiana, the manager. She has been so thoughtful, caring, and always smiling. You can tell she takes pride in her team and knows exactly how to run a front desk with excellence. Everyone is always professional, welcoming, and put together, and that reflects great leadership. She deserves an award for all of her hard work and dedication because she truly makes guests feel valued and comfortable. Jadah is another standout. She is always smiling no matter what and has such positive energy. She's constantly recommending fun places in the area and gets excited talking about local events and things to do. She makes guests feel welcomed immediately and brings such a fun and uplifting atmosphere to the hotel. Keren went above and beyond for me and my two kids during a minor inconvenience I experienced. Not only did she help immediately with kindness and patience, but she also checked on us the next day to make sure we were okay. That level of compassion and hospitality meant so much to me. Jose is hilarious and always brings good energy. He's always laughing, ready to help, and recommending great restaurants and food spots around town. He honestly makes the hotel feel like family. Jenet is such a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. She is always smiling, always happy, and always ready to help every guest with patience and respect. Even when there's a long line, she keeps everything moving smoothly while still making every guest feel important and valued. That kind of service is rare. Meagan Chase is another sweetheart. She's always smiling, always stylish, and always happy to help. Whether I needed extra blankets, housekeeping, or anything for the room, she always made sure I was taken care of. Alicia has also been incredibly helpful anytime I've needed assistance or maintenance support. The housekeeping staff deserves recognition too. I don't know all of their names, but they work so hard. They are kind, respectful, constantly cleaning, and always making sure everything feels fresh, safe, and comfortable for guests. Maintenance staff Julio and Will were both very nice and quick to help whenever needed. Jason is super cool, Jeff is very kind, and Alfonso is quiet but always smiling and helpful whenever he's around. Gina from the bar are wonderful as well friendly, attentive, and always creating a welcoming environment. The bartending and kitchen staff overall have been excellent throughout my stay. This hotel truly stands out because of the people. There may be many hotels nearby, but the kindness, professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality here make this place special. Thank you all for making my stay so pleasant and memorable.

This hotel has been the "centerpiece" of Naperville for a long time on Diehl Road near the highway…read more Before becoming the Marriott, the hotel was a holiday Inn Select. Marriott purchased the building in December 2010 and renovated it when purchased. Being a former resident of Naperville, I frequent this hotel for various events-- weddings, birthday parts, religious events, etc. With that said, this is the first time I have stayed at this hotel. The lobby looks the same as I recall. There are some slight modifications: the addition of a Starbucks, the check in counter moved, and some decor differences. The lobby is not really inviting: it's a mass open space that is dark and littered with a lot of furniture. The lobby could use some updating again to make it a cozy sleeky environment that you want to grab a drink in. So how are the rooms? Being an ambassador with Marriott we were treated to an upgrade. The room was very big with a seating areas as you walked in. Plus we were provided a welcome gift that consist of a small bottle of alcohol, chocolate pretzels and a note. It was a nice welcome gift. The bed was super comfy with the blankets-- part of the marriott collection. The room had everything one could need for business purpose-- good side desk, ample seating and storage areas. The bathroom was a good size as well- the shower had good water pressure and was hot. The room good use a good update to make it a bit more modern. The room seemed outdated but was clean. We were offered free breakfast-- first of all the breakfast areas needs some updating. Like the lobby and bedroom, no work has been done on this hotel since the initial renovation from Marriott. So again, the space was dark, the chairs were damage and just not an inviting seating. The food was ok, nothing was beyond average. Our table setting had two dirty items- my juice glass had lipstick and the creamer had something floating in it-- yuck. The server addressed it right away. The staff was very attentive in the restaurant-- thank you for your service. I would not pay to eat here, but given the meal was free-- it was good enough. As for parking-- the hotel has a very large convenient parking lot. The hotel is a good location to access the highway or to get to downtown Naperville.

I would make it easy by breaking down my rating into a few categories. 1) hotel location This is located in Warrenville, close to Naperville, but definitely far from the Chicago city downtown (approximately 40 min drive). Most guests were traveling by car. Hence, parking space was ample to accommodate customers staying at both Hyatt Place/Hyatt House. The hotel didn't offer airport shuttle, stated in their website site. Shuttle bus service to nearby places, with 5 miles I believe, was available upon request. 2) check-in The receptionist told us that the room wasn't ready when we came in around 3:15pm, so we were told to wait at least for 20 minutes or would be offered a different type of room (basically the same setup, except there was no separate bedroom). The wait wasn't awful, yet I was expecting the room would be ready when the check-in hour began. The receptionist was beyond courteous and friendly and let us have the beverages and snacks in their market place fridge while we waited. Fortunately, the kids weren't acting up and quietly played their newly-bought toys. 3) the room I booked the one-bedroom, with a separate living room, kitchen, and dining area. The room appeared clean at the first glance. However, there were details missed on the carpet, underneath the dining table booth, and the cover on top of the convertible sofa bed, for a good number of hair strings, stains, and dust were found. Speaking of the sofa bed, it wasn't that comfortable due to the quality of mattress attached to it. If you are one of the individuals who care about the sleep quality or are staying for a longer duration, spending an additional $100 to upgrade to a two-bedroom might be necessary. In our case, we were doing alright since the sofa bed was in a much lower platform than the regular king bed. With that said, our petite 2-year old was able to climb to the sofe bed without assistance. 4) surrounding noise I'm guilty to say that we were probably the noise-makers, if any hotel patron heard us. We were parents with 2 young children and they were definitely playful and throwing tantrums from time-to-time. Otherwise, being bothered by noises shouldn't a concern at all while staying here. 5) amenities and free hot breakfast The hotel basics, such as a gym, an indoor pool, a small bar in the dining area were available but we didn't use it. Nevertheless, we took advantage of the breakfast and that was great and our kids enjoyed the offerings as well. The only very, very slight disappointment was that there was no made-to-order omelet station like what I experienced in some other Hyatt hotel chains in the past, and that was totally an-OK. 6) so why 3.5 stars? The room keys were deactivated early after myself and my partner finished the breakfast with each of our children downstairs. My key was deactivated mysteriously after I took our younger one for a walk in the morning. Luckily, my partner and our older one were in the room at that tine so there was no problem. Likewise, the similar scenario happened to my partner/older son, so we avoided having to ask the front desk for help yet that was strange. Ultimately, the rating was downgraded due to the overall cleaniness of the room. It absolutely could use more attention or it might be time to change out the in-room carpet. I booked the room with my company leisure travel discount and the price was reasonable in my opinion. It was our first time taking kids for an overnight suburb stay and it went well. I would still recommend Hyatt House Chicago/Naperville/Warrenville for traveling as a family or a group.

But then, I called the hotel, multiple times, could hear the phone ringing from where I was standing outside, yet no answer. The front desk at hotels should be staffed at all times, so at this point I was ready to walk away and book somewhere else as I've gotten no response and figured no one was working. At last, after a few times of calling--someone finally picks up, asks how they can help me. I say I'm out front, waiting to get in to check in. No response on the phone, then 20 seconds later I get buzzed into the lobby. Obviously annoyed, I give the guy who came out from hiding my ID and credit card, and then I say something along the lines of "does this hotel not require anyone to answer the phone or let people in when they arrive?". He did not acknowledge the comment, apologize for his lack of effort at his job, or show any bit of care. Check in process complete, did not acknowledge my status as they're supposed to at Marriott properties, and then I say something again--hey it'd be nice if someone answered the phone the first time and let me in, instead of me waiting outside calling multiple times, I was ready to walk away. His response was "I got one phone call and answered it". I could hear the phone ringing, along with the fact I know I called more than once, but wasn't worth the argument. I did not appreciate his lack of ownership to him not doing his job. This hotel needs to look into finding new staff who don't mind doing the basics of their job and can be professional to the guests. Room itself was a little outdated but fine. The really good breakfasts are served at whatever time you want, either directly to your room or in the very nice lounge right next to the rooms.
