The rooms are nice if you like a modern vibe. However if not then rooms feel cold and a little sterile. That said, it's got comfy firm beds and thick plush robes and towels. Rooms are well insulated from ambient noise or neighbor next door. You can sleep soundly. Room service, while quick, the menu leaves a lot to be desired. The service if the meal and the meal itself does too. For being what looks like a semi high end hotel, the menu lacked any balance for vegetarians or vegan. Barely any good salad choices for dinner if you're eating in room and protein choices were burger and fish stand type offerings. Dessert had no fruit options or cake/pastry or coffee choices like cappuccino or espresso. And no non alcohol drink choices that I saw in the dinner menu. Maybe I missed it. Lastly, and of the deepest impression, was the food was bland bland bland. Nothing had flavor! So much so that I wish I could've gotten my money back. Additionally, the food was delivered in to-go boxes with plastic cutlery! Seriously? No porcelain dishes, no silverware and no salt and pepper so you can TRY to add flavor. It was cafeteria food at best! Disappointing is all I can say. I was here for a work Conference and will not come here by my own choosing in the future for work since eating in is usually what has to happen. On 8/18 I got off a long flight came in to check at the interurban as I approached the counter the supervisor was at the from desk and on the phone, we patiently waited till he was off the phone to try and check in, after getting off the phone he asked how he can help us, as I tell him I'm here to check in a Caucasian woman walks in stood behind us, and he literally dismissed me while I'm in the middle of talking to him and proceeded to help, because of the color of my skin this supervisor showed me I was not as important as that lady because of what I look like and that my money wasn't as good or wanted. Frequent traveler guy here and if there were a 1.5 star I would have given this hotel that rating simply because the staff at the front desk were courteous. Now on to the rest of experience: 1- The bed; the mattress is very soft with no support at all. The pillows are air filled and are too high. Aftermath; sore neck and a bad night of sleep. Even the van driver was familiar with the problem and suggested deflating the air out of the pillows or calling the front desk for different pillows. So it is a known issue. But how do you solve the bad mattress problem? Do you pump the air from the pillow into the mattress? 2- Cold feel in the room with modern cheap stuff; should have been named Ikea Hotel. Where do I begin? The cheap plastic laminate floor that feels hollow? The concrete wall? It felt like being in a construction site. You could hear your own echo from the lack of insulation. 3- Noise: I could hear the lady next door' phone conversation 4- When you flush the toilet you need to stand there and hold the flush button down, otherwise it will stop 5- Electric outlets; get ready to move the cheap hollow night stand and fish underneath for a 110V outlet. Or you can plug in the USB out of the light above the night stand. But my computer doesn't charge on USB. 6- Location is okay; lots of shopping around and restaurants. read more

My stay here was wonderful. Being stranded in Seattle due to the snowstorm and Covid-related problems, the hotel management was compassionate and helpful. The night manager, Abdul Sarwari, was particularly helpful. All of the other staff members were courteous and efficient. The rooms are spacious and very clean. It is conveniently located about 10 minutes from the airport and very near the mall. I would definitely stay here again. read more

The room was clean and it was a good location for my business trip. The person at the check in counter was very friendly and helpful. The lighting was horrible. No overhead lighting anywhere other then where you first walked in and the bed side lamps pointed straight down onto the bedside table so reading was very difficult. It took three tries to get a key that actually worked. The air conditioner sounded like a loud clothes dryer and came on at lease once an hour making getting a good nights sleep impossible. When I received my checkout email they forgot to attach the actual invoice. They try but just don't quite get there for me. I will be trying a different location on my next visit to the area. read more

First time back traveling and we love our stay here. They have quick check ins and check outs, cable, and the comfiest bed. On top of that, it's near Westfield mall. One thing to be aware of is that they do charge $15 a day for parking fee. read more

My bf was planning our Portland/Seattle trip and chose to stay at Hotel Interurban for the last four days of our trip since they offered free shuttle to the aiport. Therefore, we booked through Priceline (mistake).... Before our visit, I had already read some of the negative reviews about the place but found them to be fairly minor since the hotel was brand new and given that it's brand spanking new, it does come with some kinks. Anyhow, we arrived at Hotel Interurban and my first thought was, wow was this place nicee (modern, chic, and super new and up-to-date). Loved the color theme they had going on too with the gray and turqoise. The hotel was tall, sleek, and nice to look at. But here comes some of the problems we encountered. We were at the lobby checking in when we found out that Priceline had a slip and didn't send over our reservation to the hotel.... So we ended up sitting at the lobby for ~30 minutes as they tried to fix the problem. Alexandra and Merlyn were the front desk ladies and they were really nice. Since our initial booking was never received, we had to do the whole registration there on the spot. But because the hotel was completely booked of the room we wanted, we got a free upgrade to a suite on the 10th floor! They also comped us a $25 inconvenience fee that can go towards their Waterleaf restaurant or parking which, speaking of, was a whopping $20 daily!! (wtfreakk....). After we got our upgrade, Justin, (bellman and valet guy) helped brought our bags up to our room. He was really nice and gave us some recommendations on places to go to in Tukwila. THE SUITEEE: wow.... the suite was big. It had two rooms actually, a living room and a bedroom. The rooms were comfortably nice and had windows all around in the bedroom. The furnishigs were modern with the gray color theme. Bathroom looked clean and white! Everything looked nice. Seemed nice. But here comes the kinks. During the day, the room was nicely lit by the sun beaming in but as night comes, we realized there wasn't much lighting in the living room or lights in general.... The living room had two dim lamps for the whole room and it was just too dark and dim to even read. We had the bathroom light, hallway light, livingroom lamps, and TV on just for adequate lighting but it was still dim... The bathroom was nice and white until you look closely and see some yellow smears on the shower walls. House keeping definitely needs to clean it a bit better. And for the whole stay from check in to check out, we maintained to have 2 conditioner, soap, and a shower gel instead of the whole set of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel, bath salt, body lotion). House keeping didn't notice we were missing them the whole time nor did they restocked it..... (thank god I carried my own set of toiletries). And our tissue box holder was empty with no tissue box inside! :\ Now, even with those kinks, I still thought it didn't compare to the PILLOWSS..... those dreadful things are pretty useless. My bf and I kept waking up to turn the pillow throughout the night cause the pillows would like deflate and our head would sink into them. I didn't even realize until morning that I had actually kicked my pillow to the end of the bed and slept on the mattress instead. Pleaseee invest in some nicer pillows! Other than that, Hotel Interurban definitely has a lot of potential. Even with the cons (the ridiculous $20/day valet fee, the bougie overpriced food at the Waterleaf Restaurant, the bad room lighting, and crappy pillows), I did enjoy my stay here cause of the upgrade, the staff (Alexandra, Merlyn, Justin, and this other valet guy), the convenience it was to Seattle and the airport, AND HAZEL. She was definitely a highlight of hotel too. She delivered water to our room a few times and it's the cutest thing! Super convenient and high tech. With these reasons, I would rate it a 3.5/4. Without the upgrade and w/ all the cons, I honestly would rate it a 2.5/3. read more

The staff at this hotel are phenomenal! From the van drivers to the front desk staff to the manager we met, this hotel knows outstanding, friendly customer service. My co-worker and I each had similar issues with the lights and switches in our rooms. They listened to us and said they'd take care of them immediately :) The location is ideal. It is close to both the airport and Southcenter Mall. You can also catch the light rail from the airport to downtown Seattle. The rooms were clean. I like the vinyl plank floors and the choice of 2 bedside lights on each side. The rooms have refrigerators and quality bathroom amenities. I highly recommend this hotel! read more

I stayed here on a business trip since I got a pretty good deal on the rate. I figured give it a shot. I have to say I would probably give the hotel itself a 3 star but the customer service definently brings it to the 5 star level. My room had 2 light fixtures that did not work and a gouge in the wall where something must have hit it when moving things around. The biggest issue was with the coffee maker. First of all it wouldnt turn on. The toggle switch wouldnt move at all. Also their coffee mugs do not fit in the coffee make so you have to use a to go cup. Feeling slightly annoyed with the stay I went down to check out and when asked how my stay was i said it was OK. Sharron who was the gal that helped me asked what was wrong with the stay so I told her and she wrote everything down and then walked me over to their little coffee shop and comped me a coffee to go since the one in my room was broken. When she printed out my receipt I noticed my parking charge was not on there and I mentioned it and she said, "Dont worry about it, its on us." Overall its defenintly a new hotel but in a great location and amazing staff. I would take a light not working and a great staff over all my lights working with a miserable staff any day of the week. It is going to be one of my go-to hotels I look at when traveling from here on out. I am looking forward to trying the restaurant and updating my review when I do. read more

Had a very enjoyable weekend here at this fairly new and trendy hotel. Staff were all friendly and polite. We booked a classic king room, but when we checked in the lady at the desk said she upgraded us to a deluxe king room which was roomy and came with a couch, something the other room wouldn't have had. Our view was of the nearby mall and the nearby parking structure which wasn't too bad. Unfortunately we didn't eat at their onsite restaurant so I can't review that, but twice we bought coffee and top pot donuts at their coffee shop which were good. Next time we visit Tukwila we will definitely book here again. read more

We are staying here currently and being that they just opened two weeks ago, we got a pretty good price. The building (on tower is apartments and one is a hotel) is high design with a very nice lobby and bar/restaurant area. The rooms themselves are very modern and clean, but we are long-term guests for business and we knew they don't have kitchenettes or anything which is totally fine cus we wouldn't use it anyway, but they don't even have mini fridges which is pretty weird/inconvenient. My major complaint is the beds. Holy cow, we both woke up soooo sore. The mattress is awful but the pillows legitimately feel like they blew up a balloon and shoved it into a pillowcase, did someone not test the bedding out before ordering 300 + of them? Yikes. I wouldn't stay here again just based on the beds. I ended up calling and asking for some softer pillows (usually hotels offer feather and foam), and after some confusion (the girl couldn't even tell what our room number was when I called down...come on hotel!), they sent up two more of the exact same pillow so we ended up going to Target at 10pm to buy our own. I also told the girl on the phone that there had been two housekeeping carts parked outside our door for the past two days and she said "oh, is there only supposed to be one?" What?! No lady, it's a hallway...unless the housekeeping staff is actively servicing a room, there shouldn't be ANY carts in the hall. I asked for an ice machine and they pointed me to a random fridge at the end of the hall with zip locks full of chunky ice. Yo, if you're not ready to open your hotel...don't open it. The front desk and all staff we have encountered are super nice (although a little out of the loop) they are still getting things going downstairs (systems, the coffee place, etc) but everyone seemed to be running things perfectly smoothly so props to them on that. Again though, you come to a hotel to sleep and when the bed is this bad, it doesn't matter how great the rest of the hotel is in my opinion. read more

We found this hotel on trip advisor. We took a chance and booked a night in a deluxe king room with views of Mount Rainer. Check in time was 4:00 but we arrived early and we were able to get our room. We had a ninth floor room and as luck would have it, the day was clear and we had a beautiful view of Mount Rainer. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfortable. We ate supper in the hotel restaurant and it was great also. We joined the Stash rewards program and were given free vouchers for the hot breakfast buffet. I do recommend joining the Stash program for that perk alone. We used valet parking and the valets were fabulous. I look forward to visiting Hotel Interurban in the future. read more

I have traveled all over the United States, and this hotel is the only one I have stayed at who charged me to park in their parking lot ($15.00). And, if you wanted to park in their front parking lot, you had to mandatoryly give them your car keys. Otherwise, you had to park on either side of the hotel or in the rear of the hotel. The worst feeling! after having purchased your room showing up and being told there are no rooms available and there is no refunds at this hotel. I can't help but believe I am being treated this way because I am a Latino male in a fancy hotel it's hard to believe the largest hotel building in the area is sold out during a pandemic and I really needed a room because I am in the area for work I am an essential worker. Very poor customer service! I Will NEVER book here again or recommend this place after hotel Interurban stole my money! Avoiding a domestic violence situation, within moments of check-in, was harassed and mocked in front of other guests, before being accused of not even staying at the hotel by security for taking a wrong turn while parking. That security guard sat around and listened while i filled my complaint. I told the manager I did not trust him to not retaliate against me or my vehicle. I got a shower for my $150. Offered a better run I wouldn't recommend them to an enemy. I just wanted one night to feel safe. read more

Extremely disappointed with this hotel. I did an early book on November 12, 2022 for December 2 to 4 (2 nights for $239 +tax and $2 tourism) But the price was not I have expected instead I was charged higher then what I booked for. This April I came down again at Seattle Tacoma and went to this Hotel to talk to a Manager about the wrong charge but the manager refuse to give me my money back and she keeps on insisting that it was the right charge. Just opened May 2018 and the staff is really helpful. Modern look, good sized 300-330 sq.ft. standard rooms. Clean and very comfortable bed. Good bar/restaurant and Will was very on top of things to make sure of a good experience. Many WA wine choices. Gym is mainly done, but needs to add wipes and cups for water- it was still being completed. The pool isn't open yet. Quick coffee spot near elevator serves Starbucks. Close to the mall, shops and the Odin brewery. Overall recommended for business travelers or adults needing a nice weekend get away. I'll stay here again. read more

I stayed at hotel interurban twice and both times have been great! Both stats were during the covid pandemic and I can happily say that the front desk attendants were amazingly courteous and helpful both times. They helped make sure my arrangements were set and even price matched my stay to the cheapest rate for them I found online. The hotel is new but affordable and loved the decor. The hotel rooms were modern and the beds were very comfortable. Further, you can tell everything was clean!!! Also the bar/restaurant that is attached had great food offerings also! The service to check in was terrible! We had a reservation for two side by side rooms, but when we got to the desk the guy had given a room away to somebody else in every floor making no option for our reservation, saying it was first come first serve. We then had people running up and down the halls knocking and leaning on our door. We got several calls to our room about noise complaints when we were not making any noise just trying to mind our own business. We then went downstairs to find a whole party group in the lobby with the security guard, showing how it was definitely not us making noise. The rooms we got were also not even next to each other like how the guy at the desk said, he said we were going to get two rooms across from each other, then gave us a room at the end of the hall, and a room three doors down. Overall, not great service, we were being pestered and messed with all night, and I don't recommend and will never be coming back! read more

This review is for the restaurant, not the hotel/apartments. As any new restaurant this one isn't immune from the shaky beginnings. My food review is 2 stars, the staff lift it to an overall of 3 stars. I was in the area later than I planned so thought I would try this new place out. The decor is pretty basic for a hotel restaurant, the menu is very underwhelming and overpriced after having an item. The topshelf liquor selection is very weak, hopefully they can enhance it soon. I ordered the Cheeseburger....a safe bet. I was served a grease sandwich. I was so surprised that I had to use not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4 but 5 napkins to absorb all the dripping grease from it. I was more surprised that something this greasy lacked any flavor. The fries were not good at all either. When asked how it "was" by the bartender I told her its very greasy, her reply was "oh that's good". Well, for any aspiring Waitresses/Servers that would not be a compliment on the food. Our high school reunion committee selected this hotel for our 50th high school reunion event that took place on 09/24/22. The prices they quoted for the room, appetizers, bar and buffet-style dinner were reasonable, especially as compared to some other venues. The hotel itself looked nice enough. I've given this hotel only two stars -- meaning it "could have been better" -- because the hotel disappointed us in several significant ways. Parking for our group of about 160 was a bit of an annoyance, but tolerable. Chicken was our main entree' for dinner and, sadly, they ran out of it on the buffet line and took much too long to bring more. Equally disappointing, some of the chicken was undercooked. That was not acceptable. Then, the hotel really underperformed on the few vegan meals we had requested. Our vegan classmates were given only salads, and very modest ones at that. We don't know whether to blame the hotel's chef alone or whether the hotel's sales representative, through whom we booked our event, failed to coordinate better with the kitchen. Our class had a great evening for our 50th reunion, but that was in spite of these very unfortunate setbacks. This hotel does look nice enough but given our reunion experience here, I have to say that they have a LOT of work to do in their event hosting to earn a five or even four-star rating. read more

This is very new modern hotel. It is nice enough, but the style just doesn't appeal to me, and there were enough problems / inconvieniences during my stay that I would likely not return. The decor is very minimalistic and modern, but feels very cold and not warm and inviting. The bed was comfortable, but as others have mentioned the pillows are terrible. Let's step back to arrival though.... I drove my car and nobody could tell me where I should park. I ended up in the garage and I am not sure if that was ok or not, I never got towed or ticketed, but there is no entrance to the hotel from back there. You have to walk all the way around the building on the outside to get in? If there is a better way they need directions and should have told me when I asked several times. Next, there is a hotel and a residential tower in the same building, if you end up in the wrong elevator you end up in the residenial tower and the room numbers are the same! Someone in my group actually tried to get into somebody elses "house" on accident. They need way better directions. Fast forward to the next morning and I wake up and there are no working lights in my bathroom. Pitch Black! I called the desk and they had no service people at that time, so they could not fix it. They didn't offer to bring me any kind of light, nothing. There is no plug in within reach of the only other mirror in the room, and I was headed to a business meeting - I needed to be able to dry and style my hair and do my makeup. I managed to get ready but the process took me way longer than I planned so I called and asked for a late checkout so that I could come back on the break and pack up, as I did not have time due to their lights being non functional. I was simply told no, they could not accomodate that. I threw everything quickly in my suitcase, likely left something in the bathroom since I could not see. I was late for the meeting, and vowed not to return. It is a nice enough place, but the lack of customer service was the final straw for me. read more

Crappy customer service!! The hotel has a convenient shuttle from Seattle airport with the friendliest driver. We get there and are assisted by a bag service gentleman and a robot in lobby....a then the politeness and friendly customer service is sadly gone. The desk service was below normal standards. The females didn't smile, they weren't polite, and when she handed me my key she just said "here". No directions to elevator. No explanation of services. Just "here". We got to our beautiful room to find only one bed. I called desk to let them know the light switch was shocking us electrically when we touched it. She asked if I used a "third party" to book out room, which we did...and have used several times... and have never been treated badly by any other hotel we've booked thru them. She mentioned that she would send a housekeeper to check the switch. I asked if she had any two bed rooms and she said to go switch my keys. When I got down there NEITHER of the desk people would even make eye contact with me. It was odd and rude. So the same treatment...she gets my new key card but seems very put out. She gives it to me and again...no words of kindness. No apologies for us being electrically shocked when trying to touch light plate and door. My son came across the poor housekeeper who had to investigate the shocking situation...and she said " you got shocked? Me too!! It hurt! " . I guess they don't have maintenance workers. Soooo...I get to my room...and despite seeing online and having my sister call....and finding out they have several rooms...I get the punishment room....with no lovely view of Mt. Rainier but a view of a venting system. Thanks rude/unfriendly ladies at the desk! I hope your power trip and control of peoples comfort completes your empty hearts. read more
